Attachment Count link in Resource list

Hi gurus,
I have setup a repository manager with several custom properties for the documents.
One of these properties is a copy of the attachment property (attach files or links to other documents, to a document).
When a user goes to a folder and sees the list of documents in that folder, I would like to have a column with the number of attachments (if any) for that document, and this number should be a link to open the details->properties window of the document.
I've develop the property renderer for the attachments based on the standard PropertyRendererAttachment, where the Create, Change, Display and List display modes are defined. The first 3 work fine but the List doesn't do anything.
If I also add the standard attachment property to my custom property group, I can see all the attachments that were assigned to a document using my developed property.
I also found out that there is an attachmentcount property which, supposedely, gives me the number of attachments. If I add this property as a column to the folder Presentation options, it's always empty.
There are several 'Attachments' properties that can be added to the columns shown, but none of them show anything...
Can anyone help me? Point me in the right direction?

Hi Bobu,
There is a "attachment" property but one can only add attachments to tasks. What I did was create my own property renderer based on the standard property renderer to override the read only behaviour that that property has when applied to documents.
As I say, if I add also the standard "attachment" property, the attachments that were added using my custom property appear.
What I don't understand is how to use the attachment count property...

You can use Event Receiver and create another list(ListA) to record your attachment link.
Maybe your process is:
Users add list items and attachments
List event will be fired
Use Event Receiver to get attachment url and then Write into ListA

How Can I Attach and Link an XML file to a 3D Model in a PDF?
What I am trying to do is find out how to have a 3D model and a parts list linked to it within the PDF file. I would also like to be able to add to the parts list if at all possible once the pdf has been created. A template to create future PDF's with the 3D model and list might also be useful.
I am not entirely sure if this is all possible within a PDF file, but I have viewed a PDF (Adidas Trainer) example which has a Excel file attached to it which links to the 3D model. I have also had a look at partner products such as Lattice, Tetra4D, Anark, which can do animations and all sorts, but frankly it seems a bit overkill for what I am looking to do.
Please, any help would be appreciated. Thanks

I wrote about it while ago, let me paste the whole thing.

You could use the very same thing just instead of suppressing
button simply gotoAndPlay frame

Attaching a link to a Flash video

I made a flash video and I would like it to be a link to
another site. Is this possible if so how would l go about doing
this? I search these forums all morning and found nothing related
to the topic. I tried the following and had no success:
1. Right click on image Edit tag, events, then OnbllClick
insert web address.
2. Under insert tab I tried HTML, head tag, , link.
3. Under modify make link.
All 3 of those had no luck I also tried a few other things.
Got know where
I am wondering if I was suppose to add then link maybe in
Flash or After Effects?
Does anyone happen to know how to go about attaching a link
to a flash video?
All of a sudden I also been having trouble with opening up
the page in Explorer and its asking me to save the file as
dwt.template which its already save as. When I open it does the
same thing again. I didn't have this problem until today. Other
then this it was able to preview it in explorer. Firefox works fine

did not say you couldn't put a link IN Flash. I said that you
cannot use
HTML to put a link on a Flash object. And secondly you are

Attachement file links in JSP dont open

Hi All,
In my JSP page, I have attachment file links which are as follows:
xlserror.ppt
When I click on the link, a new browser opens and it shows all garbage. The browser is not able to find PowerPoint application to display the file. What could be the problem? Am using Win NT as my server and Tomcat as the JSP container.
Previously I had this application in IIS, ASP combination which opened all the attachments in the browser by finding the correct application.
Another question is:
Is how you name the file critical? Coz following is one of the prblems that I have seen. If I name the file "xlserror#1.ppt" then following is the link:
xlserror#1.ppt
When I click on the link, the browser goes to the following location:
http://domain/MyApp/Attachments/757/xlserror
and therefore I get "resource not found" error. Is using '#' in the filename not good practice? I never had this experience with ASP.

1) For your browser to know what application to use you have to declare the kind of content you are sending to the browser.
So you have to set the content type of the response object with the proper MIME type.
For ppt files, i think is application/vnd.ms-powerpoint or something similar, check it.
2)About the # character: If you have a # in your url ( www.server.com/app/docum#ent) ,your browser will ask for the www.server.com/app/docum and then will scroll down the page till the ent anchor.
(This is basic html. Maybe you should go to the w3schools.com ;) )

Links in bulleted lists

I have noticed that if I have a bulleted list and have links in that list, those links also include the bullet. Sample page: http://web.mac.com/unixdude/iWeb/test/test.html
Is anyone else seeing this? Is there a known workaround? I have searched this discussion group but didn't find anyone with a similar problem.

I guess I see it. I mean the underline of the
hyperlink does not extend to the bullet, but I guess
it close. Is there a specific downside to this
besides cosmetic? If you want a workaround, you
could always overlay a 1% opacity shape over the
intended text and attach the hyperlink to the shape
instead of the text.
In Safari, the bullet itself is underlined. The space between the bullet and the text is not underlined.
In addition to being a cosmetic bug, it's also a functional one: In iWeb I did not specify that the bullet itself should be underlined.
The problem is obvious if you look at the HTML, so I guess I'll just post-process the code.
Also, while inspecting the code, I see that Apple didn't use "UL"s for plain dot text bullets. I wonder why they still used OLs. Odd.

Calling a custom resource list filter within another resource list filter

Hi,
We integrated an external repository (Documentum) in KM using a connector provided by them. And we would like to filter the search results given by Trex on a property of those documents.
We thought about implementing a Resource List Filter for the StandardSearchResultRenderer (Search Result Renderer Settings) but it already uses a custom filter A provided by Documentum.
Is it possible to create a new Resource List Filter B that would uses the custom filter A + perform a filter on a property?

Hi Eric,
Do you know if TREX indexes the properties of the documentum repository? (Sorry to ask this, but I have no access to a documentum repository here) Are the properties part of the index? Easiest way to find out is to go to Display Index Details in TREX monitor, the indexed properties are listed there.
If the properties are indexed you can probably proceed as described in the attached How To Guide from 3.2 onwards. The guide describes in the first part how to configure TREX so that it indexes DC properties from office attributes checked in into KMC- not interesting to you.
The second part (from 3.2) describes how these properties are made searchable, although they are not KM properties and not maintainable in KMC. This might meet your problem. The idea is to create a property in KMC using the property name that it has in TREX index.
Please have a look and let me know if it is a solution for you,

More then one resource list filter in render

Hello KM Experts,
Is it possible to add more then one resource list filter in collection list render.
I've tried to add two different collection list renders with different filters to layout. But it seems that works only one of the filters.
Any suggestion?

Wt way you created filter (Coding or through portal). In portal means
Goto System Admin>System Config>KM>Content management>Global Service>Resource List Filter>Resource List Filter-->Check ur filter settings.

Attach multiple files to a List Item in SharePoint 2013

Hi Guys,
I have a customer that want to attach multiple files to single list item in a dialog box. like Datasheet View, if we set up a Datasheet View and click on the Attachment cell, it opens a dialog box that allow to select and attach multiple files as one operation.
Does anyone know how to solve this issue?
As we know, if we want to attach multiple files, it only allow me to attach one file at a time, then repeat this process for every other file.

According to your post, my understanding is that you wanted to upload multiple files in SharePoint list.
There is no out of the box way to accomplish this with SharePoint.

Error when attaching object link in DMS

Hi Experts,
I am calling the function module CV110_DOC_CREATE in my program. This program i have attached to a ztransaction.Thus the screen after entering the document type, document version and part in the cv01n transaction appears when my ztransaction is executed. But the problem is that i can attach object link (document info record) when the ztransaction is executed initially. But when i click on back button and again comes to the screen i am not able to attach the object link.Then it gives an error as " Object does not exist". Please help.

When the back button is clicked screen for my ztransaction comes.From there it is calling the actual screen to attach the object link.there i am trying to attach the object link again...then it is saying as object does not exists. This same dir i have attached earlier as object link when the ztransaction was run initially.

Attachment count for item in SRM SC

I added attachment file to SRM SC PR document and stored in SAP content server.
when i create RFX, observed that for an item file attach count is set '0', however 2 attachment file is available and displayed in Notes and Attachment tab.
I think default attachment count is taken from BBPCONT table. but now i saved in content server. how to fetch the file count from content server and where to place the code in SRM.
Please advice.

BBP_PDATT does not have any Content server information. It only have attachment description alone and time etc.
Not sure where the file is stored inside SRM.
I found table BBPCONT is updating everytime but after i change the BBPFILESYSTEM to Content server setting at OACT transaction.
Not sure where its storing.
When i click the attach file in SRM, its not opening with HTTP -content server URL...its opening with Local SRM HTTP server URL.
Do you have idea when the Content server URL path for FIle will be opened when i click attach file in SRM protal.
How the document object is connected with Content server ?

Use 'Find and Replace'>under the 'Edit' menu.
Select from 'Find in'- Folder and browse to the folder your website files are kept in to select it.
Search: Source Code
In the Find box (but obviously use YOUR image code):

In the Replace box: (use YOUR link and image code)

Links to other list views in webpart

In list view webpart, added to `start.aspx` page, can I have links to other list views?
If I navigate to the list url (eg. /Lists/MyList), I have links to several views (eg. "open items", "closed items", "All Items"...).
When I view this list as webpart, I only see active view and there is the ellipsis to switch view. I would like to have links to other views instead of ellipsis. How to do that?

I dont think you can add anything to that view.
You can always add a link to the ribbon on top but not to these views.
