Attachment files setup profile options in Oracle Applications

In Oracle Applications exists a functionality that allow attach files to responsibilities. This functionality works fine. But,
I need setup two different directories for attach files and I cant do it. However, I setup the profile option "attachment
directory" at site and responsibility level, but always look for in directory defined in site level.
Ho can I do?.
If you have information about this or know a workaround, it will be welcome.
Thanks a lot.

Here are a couple of things to try:
1. Make sure there are no spaces in the directory name where you unzipped the installer.
2. As Pilgrim indicated, you must be an administrator on the workstation in order to run the installer.
3. Verify you have a clean download: check the file size and/or CRC information to ensure the download is not corrupt.

I am using OATS tool for writing automation scripts to test a web-based application . But I am facing problem when the requirement is to upload any file from the system to that web application .
Actually the behavior of the script or I guess of OATS is inconsistent as the attachment file is getting upload sometime and

I have observed a strange case also ,i.e whenever i am executing the scripts while sharing my system screen on webex meeting
then the attachment upload results in failure . What can be the proper solution for doing file upload using automation script ??

Can you please check whether the sync has been taken care before performing the upload operation. If the sync is taken care then the upload should work always

  • IBE: Attachment Document Category -- Profile Option -- Update ???

We are doing a Proof of Concept for iStore Attachments and I need to update the "IBE: Attachment Document Category". The field is protected against update when attempting from System Administrator responsibility. Is there a certain responsibility/account required when modifying this profile option ??

    Hi,
Mark the Visible column at the Site level, and you should be able to mark the Updatable column then (at the same level). If you want to have this profile option updatable at the <A class=bodylinkwhite href="http://www.software-to-convert.com/avchd-conversion-software/avchd-to-iphone-software.html"><FONT face=tahoma,verdana,sans-serif color=#000 size=1>Application</FONT></A> level, just tick the box.

    Hi,
Create a profile under Application Developer Responsibility as follow:
    Name OAE_LAUNCHER
    Application <whatever>
User Profile Name Oracle Application Express Launcher
    Description Oracle Application Express Launcher
    2. Set above profile value under System Administrator Responsibility -> Profile -> System, and search for the ‘OAE_LAUNCHER’.
Set the value at Site Level as:
    http://<hostname>:<Apex port>/pls/apex
Then instead of hardcoding the URL in the jsp, just give the profile name OAE_LAUNCHER that you have just created in the jsp.
    Hope this helps you

  • How to Setup SSL on Oracle Application Server 10g Release 2 (10.1..2)

    Hi All,
Can anybody tell me How to setup the SSL on Oracle Application Server 10g Release 2 (10.1.2).
I have all the required documents like
    1. Oracle Application Server Portal Server Configuration Guide.
    2. Oracle Application Server Web Cache Configuration Guide.
    3. Oracle Application Server SSO Administration Guide.
I tried to follow all this documents but still i am not able to set SSL for Oracle Portal Server.

The Portal Configuration Guide, available on OTN at http://www.oracle.com/technology/documentation/appserver1012.html does provide some very specific information on how to set up OracleAS Portal.
Section 6.3.2.1 Configuring SSL for OracleAS Portal describes various configurations, such as:
    SSL to OracleAS Single Sign-On
    SSL to OracleAS Web Cache
    SSL Throughout OracleAS Portal
External SSL with Non-SSL Within Oracle Application Server
For larger enterprise configurations, you can refer to the Enterprise Deployment Guide.
Can you give a bit more background on what you are trying to set up? Which scenario, what sort of hardware, software versions, and so on.
    Regards,
    Pete

  • Oracle 11i System Profile Option - Concurrent Define and Executable

I'm looking for what I think is a System Profile Option within Oracle Financials that will allow me to open Concurrent Program Define at the same time as Concurrent Program Executables so that I can copy and paste from one to the other. I can do this in our Dev. Environment but we recently refreshed the Test environment and I lost this ability.
I'm using the System Administrator responsibility within 11i and am referring to where you define your concurrent programs and executables.
I'm assuming this is a system profile option but I am unable to find it.
    Our version is 11.5.10.2

    Hello.
I think you have the Close Other Forms check box option checked. In the main menu, choose the Tools menu and see how is this checkbox status. If it is checked, just unchek it. You will be able to open both forms at same time.

  • MO Operating Unit Profile Option Needed for Mass Allocation in R12

Mass Allocation does not work in R12 unless you set MO Operating Unit profile option at GL Responsibility level. Is that an official requirement from Oracle or is that a bug? A client should be able to implement and use GL without setting operating units as they are needed for subledgers.

    Hi
I have found the below mentioned information on MO: operating Unit Profile option from the Oracle E-Business Suite Multiple Organizations & Oracle General Ledger Reference Guide which directly or indirectly requires the setting of the profile option at the appropriate level (responsibility, site etc)
Profile Options not Owned by General Ledger:
The following profile option affects the operation of General Ledger, but is not "owned" by General Ledger:
    • MO: Operating Unit - This profile option controls which operating unit a particular responsibility is assigned to.
Note: General Ledger's Account Inquiry window ignores the setting of this profile option. This allows you to drill down to your subledgers independent from their multiple organization setup. As a result, when you drill down to subledger details, General Ledger will show you all of the transactions that comprise an account balance, regardless of which organization originated the transaction.
To use multiple organizations, you must define an accounting setup with at least one legal entity, a primary ledger that will record the accounting for the legal entity, and an operating unit that is assigned to the primary ledger and a default legal context (legal entity).
You must set either the MO: Operating Unit or MO: Security Profile profile option for each application responsibility to use Multiple Organizations context sensitive applications. When you connect to the Oracle Applications, you sign on by entering your user name and password. Then, you choose a responsibility that is available to your user. After you choose your responsibility, there is an initialization routine that reads the values for all profile options assigned to that responsibility. Oracle Applications allows you to see only the information for those operating units that are assigned to your responsibility.
    Hope this helps.

  • How to authenticate oracle application user from third party application -

    Hi All!
I am using OC4J as a J2EE container with an Oracle Applications setup (11.5.10, LINUX version). This is for an application which gets called from Oracle Applications. We need the user, responsibility and session information of Oracle applications to be passed on to our application which is running on a different port in OC4J. We are unable to get the information when we call our application from a menu option in Oracle Applications.
Various papers have been mentioning mod_oc4j.so module, which we are unable to find in our Oracle Applications setup.
    Any help as to
    (1) where we can download and install mod_oc4j.so from and
    (2) passing the above mentioned information to our application running on the OC4J port will be greatly appreciated.
    Thank you

  • Issue with Oracle Application Adapter (11g) for SAP

    Hi,
I need to call a WSDL file that is generated through Oracle Application Adapter Application Explorer from a BPEL Composite in SOA 11g.
The wsdl files are stored under the path $SOA_HOME/soa/thirdparty/ApplicationAdapters/wsdls by default.
I’m not able to see the wsdls in the Resource Pallette while trying to invoke the adapter. Kindly let me know the workaround for the issue.
    Regards,
    CC

    Hi Chandu
For SOA 11G, in order to access the BAPI WSDLs ,you need a third party adapter service which comes with Jdeveloper version 11.1.1.2.0 . I am not sure if this is available with Jdeveloper version 11.1.1.1.0. So make sure you have the correct version of Jdev for development.
Also in 11g when you generate the WSDL(outbound service) from AE, 4 files are generated.
    XXXX_invoke.jca
    XXXX_invoke_request.xsd
    XXXX_invoke_response.xsd
    XXXX_invoke.wsdl
You need to copy these 4 files to your Jdev project folder and configure the third party adapter service to invoke the SAP BAPIs. Hope this helps.
    Thanks

    Hi,
I am installing OCA on a Linux SuSE 11.1.

I Get following information from Oracle installer:
Output generated from configuration assistant "Oracle Application Server Certificate Authority Configuration Assistant":

Try to comment out the LD_ASSUME_KERNEL entry in file $ORACLE_HOME/oca/bin/cminst.
The entry was put there for bug 4527581 - OCA fails on RH4.0, but will generate error on some more recent Linux distributions.
