Attempted to downgrade, then re-upgraded error
I attempted to downgrade to itunes version 6.0.5. When I first installed 6.0.5 it said cannot read itunes library.itl because it was created by a newer version of itunes.
So I deleted the file itunes library.itl and proceeded to "add folder to library" I did that but I got an error saying some files were in a protected .wma format so I could not import them.
So I uninstalled 6 and reinstalled 8. I procedded to "add folder to library" and got the same error. I tried going into my recycle bin and recovering the file "itunes library.itl" and then tried to open itunes and got an unknwon error ***
So I deleted the itunes library.itl file again and itunes worked... but it still wont import the .wma files that are "protected"
Any ideas? I have all files saved still except for what ever was deleted when I uninstalled Itunes
Ok, well now I am halfway solved. I did my recover the hard way (my music folder was still in tact but I had all sorts of "Phantom" song duplicates which I had to go through manually and delete.
I am now trying to get my play lists back. I have the Ipod still in condition pre-downgrade. I am not able to access the program shown in other (http://discussions.apple.com/message.jspa?messageID=797432#797432) discussion topics. I have tried probably over 70 times between the last 2 days. Is there anywhere else to get this program?

Adobe Reader attempts to open, then recieves an error message of AppName:acrord32.exe
I have been having trouble using Adobe Reader 8.1.1, every time I go to open it I receive the following message:

I have tried to un-install the program. Manually deleted the files by going to the programs folder and removing everything. I have done a complete search of all files and documents regarding to Adobe and deleted them. Then attempted to re-install the software. Each time I do so I receive the same error message. Any thought on how to resolve this issue?I had the same problem.
I installed the foxit and work just fine.
Another way uninstall the adobe 8.1.2 and install an older version like 7.0.9, Here is how:
Go to Download Adobe Reader click on "Different language or operating system" Make choices for your system and click "Continue" second step box will appear at the bottom of the screen. Make the radio button for 7.0.9 and click on "Download Adobe Reader".

Upgraded pc to ios 7 but when syncing to iphone 4 it crashed. Phone is now in recovery mode but it nearly finishes recovery then stops with error 3014. Phone rendered useless until this is fixed. Help pls? I have tried many of the suggestions for the error code given. Im getting frustrated. I'm not a techno so would appreciate simple terms or ways of explanation. Thx!!

My Adobe CS5 keeps letting me know updates are ready to install, attempts to install, then always tells me.." error in the downloading..."Please!...tell me what to do to get these updates?...I've been trying(Adobe has been trying) for 3 months to get this done. What if I uninstall everything and try to reinstall again? I uninstalled the program from the old computer when I got a new computer. Had no problems with that.I've run out of places to look for help. Just want to keep my stuff current.

trying to active my old iPhone 3gs. it showing that activation server is temporary unavailable and on the iTunes showing that there is no sim card installed in the iPhone you are attempting to activate. I unlocked my phone then i upgrade it, after that this happen. i tried with other sim same message come again and again.if any body know solution let me know. thanks
Was the SIM card activated on another phone? I assume this is an ATT style trying to use on T-Mobile? Was the SIM installed correctly? Is the carrier (like T-Mobile) operating IOS 6 devices yet?
If the SIM is a valid SIM from say T-Mobile, you may want to contact them for assistance activating the SIM card.
Activation and SIM issues typically point to the carrier. And if this was a CDMA phone say working with verizon, it will NOT work for ATT or T-Mobile as they use different electronics on the 3GS. The SIM slot is for international use only. -
[Resolved] Borkage after Upgrade (A Kernel or SSL Upgrade Error?)
Turned my x121e on this morning and felt like a quick System upgrade. In came groff, a filesystem package, ssl, and the newest kernel Arch is sending out. Once complete, I rebooted- the machine would not reboot itself, and froze. So I had to hard reboot. On the next bootup there was an error of some filename being too short (sorry cant remember precise error), and then after that the system boots, but the text size in console has changed, graphics seem slightly different, and when I login I cannot use trackpoint or touchpad, DWM is without wallpaper, all dwm-panel just default. It doesn't turn off from pressing hardswitch (it used to, very quickly), I can't open anything.
I am at a complete ends immediately. All I can think of is the few grub parameters I've added, but these were working perfectly up until the upgrade, and probably should not be mentioned here.
I will look into rolling back the upgrades. I can try and provide any info- though do not have connection for Arch at the moment as not running in X and don't have wired around currently (should do later).
I would really appreciate some help with this if anyone can.

Last edited by dura (2013-03-03 17:31:19)Ok, so I chrooted into my system with usb, then tried to downgrade the kernel to what was used before 3.7.7-1, following the wiki page on downgrading the kernel.
Pacman then reads an error:
Error while loading shared libraries: /usr/lib/libcrypto.so.1.0.0:file too short
Incidentally, there was also a ssl upgrade as part of the -Syu this morning. I expected nothing from it, but read elsewhere off an ssl upgrade causing multiple errors.
Stumped again really.
Not sure if the original error message was anything to do with kernel: all I can state is was either mkinit related, or libcrypto related (sorry- I'd literally just woken up when I -Syu'd).

Quicktime 7.4 upgrading error: server off-line?
Hi Guys, hope someone would be able kindly to advise me on this. Yesterday I have upgraded my Quicktime to version 7.4 by downloading free version from Apple web-site (originally I had a 6.xx.xx version installed from my photo-camera software). Before the installation I’ve deleted the previous file version. The problem I’m experiencing now is that when I start the Quick Time by clicking on it, it stops (freezing) in the loading status and looks like not connecting to where it attempts to. Then if I am choosing in the menu bar to update the existing software, the following error message comes up:
A connection with the Quick Time software server could not be established. The computer may be having trouble accessing the internet or the server may be off-line”.
But my internet is surely connected and I was able to successfully update earlier program version. I’ve tried re-installing a couple of times, but nothing changes. Would it be better again to install the older version file then? When I updated to iOS 8.1 on my iPad 2 it failed when installing it's in recovery mode and when I go to iTunes to restore it downloads the update to about 900 Mbps then gives me error 9006

How do we deal with Error 50 when downloading a movie rental then stopped with error 50 and when I try to resume the downld, it doesn't do it?
Yeah this "fix" is bunk. The movie is downloading just fine, but the extra features is the one giving me this error code. It is NOT my firewall. If it was, then both files wouldn't download. Plus, I already have the firewall "issue" tacked down and fixed. Have had it fixed for months now. No, this is due to the "new" itunes version 11 software. The only conclusion to fix this issue is UPgrading from 11 back to 10.7 which is what I am going to do. This is completely ridiculous! Come on, Apple, get itunes working once and for all, and fire the people responsible for itunes 11, just like you did to the guy who was responsible for apple maps. Thankfully Google came back to the rescue with google maps app.

I have a MacBook Air, Ipad 2 everything was fine. Then I upgraded it to OS X Yosemite , everything when downhill, can not even use FaceTime . i have tried everything. Can somebody help me out on this please. Thank you.Try these in order testing your system after each to see if it's back to normal:
1. a. Resetting your Mac's PRAM and NVRAM
b. Intel-based Macs: Resetting the System Management Controller (SMC)
2. Restart the computer in Safe Mode, then restart again, normally. If this doesn't help, then:
Boot to the Recovery HD: Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the Utilities menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
3. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions: Upon startup select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions as follows.
When the recovery menu appears select Disk Utility. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list. In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the main menu. Select Restart from the Apple menu.
4. Reinstall Yosemite: Reboot from the Recovery HD. Select Reinstall OS X from the Utilities menu, and click on the Continue button.
Note: You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest using Ethernet if possible
because it is three times faster than wireless.
5. Reinstall Yosemite from Scratch:
Be sure you backup your files to an external drive or second internal drive because the following procedure will remove everything from the hard drive.

2007 Upgrade Error Company DB not consistent

I am currently using SAP b1 2005 server and client
im using Sql server 2005 for for database
while upgrading the system from 2005 to 2007
every thing(b1 server, client,company database) upgraded succesfully
but while loging into company it is showing error
"The company DB is not consistent, Check the SAP Business One log file for more information [Message 131-219]"

I ran into a similar problem recently while attempting an upgrade. I didn't find a solution to my specific problem but, I was wondering if you had run the pre-upgrade query. There is a SAP note
1000846 that refers to upgrade issues and the pre-upgrade query I would run this if you haven't already and see if it returns any results.

I was downloading a app from the app store and it downloaded about 85% then gave an error message download failed but when I reopen the app store to the purchases the resume button show but when i click it the same error comes up failed to download

Since updating to Yosemite my airport express (used for airplay) connects for a short period then drops, the error message "An error occurred while connecting to the AirPlay device “Kitchen”. The host cannot be reached." Has anyone else had this problem
I'm having the same issue. Haven't found a workaround. I use a main TimeCapsule as my main router, also have another TimeCapsule that extends the network, three Airport Express and an AppleTV. For whatever reason, the two AirportExpress that I have in a different rooms cut out. I only have 600 square foot apartment so it's not that big, the signal should be strong enough. Airport Utilitiy reports the signal strength to be strong on all devices.
I'm using all new equipment, a new MacPro for my music, new TimeCapsules, new Airport Express, new everything with the latest Yosemite software. Very frustrating. My Airplay used to work very nice and now I'm constantly having issues and restarting my network. I did a fresh install of all my software on my MacPro when I got it in January so it's not as if it's an old machine with old software, everything is new within the last 6 months.
The only workaround I found so far is to unplug the devices and to plug them back in. Since upgrading to Yosemite, I'm restarting my Airport Express at least twice a week. Very annoying. -
I cant update my software. It downloads updates , then says, 'an error has occurred and updates have not been installed'. I am now behind 6 months on updates. Any idea how to fix this?

My program will attempt to open then say it has a problem and shut down
