Hi all,
I have a query that is running fine under sql command but when I paste to BIP then attempted to view the data, I kept getting "Attribute "id" required", what is it complaining about ? I just can't figure out . thanks.
Plz help.
Zen

Also post the error message (exactly ) as you get it.
Which version of BIP are using 10g or 11g?
Is it Standalone or EBS?
thanks

  • Using trans-attribute of Required with public vs. private bean methods

              I'm having problems attempting to begin my transaction (using the Required transaction attribute
              setting in the desployment descriptor) in a private stateless session bean method. The scenario is as follows:
              public void methodA() <-- want NO transactional setting
              doSomething();
              private void doSomething() <-- want trans-attribute of Required
              doFirstPart(); <-- trans-attribute of Supports
              doSecondPart(); <-- trans-attribute of Supports
              When I do this, if I force a failure in the doSecondPart() method, the doFirstPart() database activity is NOT
              rolled back properly. If I go ahead and set the trans-attribute of methodA() to Required and change
              doSomething() to Supports, then any database activity in doFirstPart() appropriately gets rolled back
              upon a failure in doSecondPart(). Can I not initiate a transaction in a private method? Can anyone point
              me in the right direction?
              Thanks!!
              - Jim

              Here is the deal. What I was missing was this...to take advantage of the transaction attribute settings that are set in the deployment descriptor, you must call a method that is present in the remote interface. AND you must call that method through its remote interface instead of calling it locally.
              For example, I originally had the scenario below:
              public void methodA()
              doSomething();
              private void doSomething()
              Well, in the code above, there are two problems.
              1) doSomething() needs to be public and part of the remote interface;
              2) methodA() needs to call the method using the remote interface instead of calling the method locally.
              Like this:
              public void methodA()
              Object ref = jndiContext.lookup("ejb-name");
              EJBObjectType obj = (EJBObjectType) PortableRemoteObject.narrow(ref, EJBObjectType.narrow);
              obj.doSomething();
              public void doSomething()
              Or something pretty close to that. Make sense? This means that there is NO effect of putting private methods with transaction attribute values in the deployment descriptor.

  • Error assembling WAR: webxml attribute is required (or pre-existing WEB-INF

    Hi All,
    When i have tried to build a war with MAVEN, i am facing the below error, please let me know in case of any helpouts
    Error assembling WAR: webxml attribute is required (or pre-existing WEB-INF/web.xml if executing in update mode)

    This is what I was looking for: http://maveninjdeveloper.blogspot.com/2012/04/handle-adf-application-maven-ant.html
    It further references:
    - http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E24382_01/user.1112/e17455/deploying_apps.htm#BACIIDEJ
    - http://javaosdev.blogspot.in/2011/12/ojdeploy-documentation-for-tool.html
    The only issue now is that Oracle JDeveloper release 11.1.2.2.0 (version being used) does NOT seem to support Ant while release 11.1.2.1.0 does. This necessitates a further kluge to make things work. The amount of difference between versions of JDeveloper is quite amazing.

  • Student Attributes for Requirement Profile Templates

    Hello,
    I am working on setting up Admission audits.  And, I am looking at using the Student Attributes in the Requirement Profile Template.  But, I am having problems configuring the parameter values for the Student Attributes.  I can get the parameter values to work when using a SAP defined table such as T7PIQADMCATEG, but when I use one of our custom tables the parameter values will not populate.  What do I need to do to get a custom table to work with the Student Attributes parameter values?
    Thanks,
    Ezra.

    Rob,
    I understand how to use the BAdI to assign a requirement profile based on the student attributes.  My question is more basic.  I am having trouble with the defining of the student attributes, IMG Path: \Student Lifecycle Management\Processes in Student Lifecycle Management\Audits\Requirement Profile Templates\Define Student Attributes for Requirement Profile Templates. This IMG items requires defining the Attribute and a Parameter.   I can't get the Parameter to use a Z-table.  The Parameter is defined in the IMG Path: \Student Lifecycle Management\Processes in Student Lifecycle Management\Audits\Basic Settings\Define Parameters for Audit Types.  The Parameter requires a Structure name and Component name.  When I put in a Z-table for these items, the drop-down for the Parameter Value will not be populated for the Stdt Attribute I defined with the Z-table in transaction PIQAUDTMPL_M.
    Thanks for the help,
    Ezra.

  • B2B Document Editor Global Replace for Requirement attribute

    Hi Gurus,
    I am having hard time to replace requirement attribute from required to optional to all segments and fields through B2B document editor.
    Here is my scenario...
    I am building a spec for "Application A" and it is expecting HL7 structure with all segments and fields are optionanl.
    I tried with "Find & Replace" tool but when I select Segment and Field nodes it is not giving an option for "Requirement" (Search Atributes section)
    Any trick?
    Thanks,
    Datla

    Thanks Anuj,
    It would be very helpful and save lot of time for us if we have that functionality in the tool. I am wondering what stopping in the tool to replace "Requirement" and "User Option" attributes as it is allowing to replace all other (Data Type, ID, Name, Position,Purpose, Repeats) attributes.
    Thanks,
    Datla

    We were happily creating, updating and deleting various iFS content types by
    declaring 'n' attributes and then setting 3 or 4 of these properties of each
    one of the 'n' attributes of every content type i.e.
    //First attribute of the content Type
    AttributeDefinition adef1 = new AttributeDefinition(ifsSession);
    //First property of the first attribute of content Type
    adef1.setAttributeByUpperCaseName(Attribute.NAME_ATTRIBUTE,
    AttributeValue.newAttributeValue("FIRSTNAME"));
    //Second property of the first attribute of content Type
    adef1.setAttributeByUpperCaseName(Attribute.DESCRIPTION_ATTRIBUTE,
    AttributeValue.newAttributeValue("The firstname of the
    Employee"));
    //Third property of the first attribute of content Type
    adef1.setAttributeByUpperCaseName(Attribute.DATATYPE_ATTRIBUTE,
    AttributeValue.newAttributeValue
    (Attribute.ATTRIBUTEDATATYPE_STRING));
    //Fourth property of the first attribute of content Type
    adef1.setAttributeByUpperCaseName(Attribute.REQUIRED_ATTRIBUTE,
    AttributeValue.newAttributeValue(true));
    //Fifth property of the first attribute of content Type
    //We are forced to set this up. Otherwise we get above error.
    //However only required for first attribute of the content type.
    //Rest of the attributes (n-1) are fine.
    adef1.setAttributeByUpperCaseName(Attribute.SETTABLE_ATTRIBUTE,

    //Rest of the attributes (n-1) are fine.
    adef1.setAttributeByUpperCaseName(Attribute.UPDATEABLE_ATTRIBUTE,
    String.valueOf(true));
    codef0.addAttributeDefinition(adef1);
    The other attributes are fine. We only need to set 3-4 properties of these
    attributes and could get away with it. Only the first attribute is causing the
    above problem. For other attributes of the content type, we are still setting
    only the first three/four properties
    If you look at the definition of iFS internal table "odm_attribute", apart from field "id", which is an implicit column, there are 12 columns which are NOT NULL.
    This means for every iFS attribute it must be required to set the values
    of these 12 properties. However like most of the examples in iFS doco,
    you could get away with setting 3-4 properties explicitly. I am sure some
    of them are set implicitly by iFS.
    The problem is, sometimes these implicit setting of properties by iFS is
    not working and its complaining about them. The ones which are causing
    problems are SETTABLE and UPDATEABLE.
    We are forced to set them explicitly. Hence the inconsistency.
    The problem is, what is the reason for iFS setting "SETTABLE" and
    "UPDATEABLE" implicitly for some attributes and requiring us to set them
    explicitly?
    Thanks and Regards

    hi srini,
    i have includedthe char in rows. i want you to explain in detail how to use these values in the if then else statement in query.
    i have created a calculated key figure 2= (formual variable =1 & keyfig a =0)* keyfig1kefig2 +not(formual variable =1 & keyfig a =0)keyfig2 *calculated keyfig1.
    so this formula variable of replacement path have ref. to then char. and with what value should it replace, key, name, external char or attribut etc so that i should get the values of the char from 1 to20.
    i donot to repalce with the attribute. i just want the char. values and not thier attributes (1. description 2. the second attribute has the values say abc1,efg2,ghi3 for respective charteristic values.
    ie
    char value               desc                 2nd attrib
    1                            hi                     abc1
    2                            bye                  defg2
    3                            ciao                  ghi3

  • Autofilling required attributes with default/fixed value when marshalling

    I'm wondering if there is a way to configure JAXB to set default or fixed values on undefined element attributes when marshalling. For example, if an element is derived from the following schema snippet
    <xs:complexType name="CentimetersLength">
          <xs:simpleContent>
             <xs:extension base="xs:double">
                <xs:attribute name="units" fixed="cm" use="required"/>
             </xs:extension>
          </xs:simpleContent>
       </xs:complexType>then when marshalling, I would think it would be acceptable to do the following
    CentimetersLength length = new CentimetersLength();
    length.setValue(3.0);
    marshaller.marshall(length);If the marshaller is set with the schema, it fails because the "units" attribute is required, even though it has a fixed value. If one looks at the JAXB-generated code produced by xjc, CentimetersLength has a method, getUnits(), that returns "cm" by default, but this doesn't carry over to the marshalled XML document.
    Thanks for the help,
    Josh

  • SystemException during Required -- RequiresNew Transaction Attribute

    I have a batch process, which runs in RequiresNew Transaction Attribute (Child Transaction). My Parent transaction attribute is Required.
    Say I am processing 10 Records, My requirement is in a normal flow, i need to commit each and every record after processing and incase Application Exception arises, i will log it and proceed with next record. So by that way i don't have any problem with Application Exception.
    But when a systemException is thrown after processing 5 records, i will be able to rollback only the 6th record transaction, and the above commited 5 transactions cannot be rolledback. Can somebody suggest me a good solution to rollback all the transactions incase of SystemExceptions in RequiresNew
    Thanks & Regards,

    ThanX for your reply. I raised the issue to the BEA support, they said that the issue is the driver that i am using. It got resolved when i tried with the BEA provided driver. They call it the BEA branded driver for SQL Server.

  • Help needed in creating user defined attribute

    Hi all,
    I want to create user defined attributes and make it available for all users in sun LDAP5.2,I have followed the below mentioned steps,
    1.Under configuration-schema i have created attribute named "ldapproducts"
    2.I have created new object class "userproducts" and made the parent to be "inetorgperson" and added my "ldapproducts" attribute in required attribute.
    Now,in directory tab,Iam trying to add the "ldapproduct" attribute for each user but my defined attribute i.e,"ldapproducts"is not available in the "Add Attribute"list
    please let me know do i need to do some steps or do i need to do any changes in DS files..
    waiting for ur replies...
    thanks in advance.

    Hi,
    I dont know the solution for this, but heres a work arround
    //create new label some where else in the excel sheet as shown below
    Label lblcmbdata;
    for(int i=0; i<1000; i++)
                 lblcmbdata = new Label(75, i, (i+1)+" satish", format);
                 sheet1.addCell(lblcmbdata);
    }//set the validation range as shown below
    writableCellFeature.setDataValidationRange(75,0,75,1000);
    Label cmb = null;
    cmb = new Label(0, 1, "Select",format);
    cmb.setCellFeatures(writableCellFeature);
    sheet.addCell(cmb);this will create a combo list with 1000 values
    also you can keep the data to be populated in the different sheet in same workbook by creating a named range as below
    workbook.addNameArea("cmbdata", sheet1, 0, 0, 0, 1000);
    // then fill the data in sheet1
    Label lblcmbdata;
    for(int i=0; i<1000; i++)
                    lblcmbdata = new Label(0, i, (i+1)+" satish", format);
                    sheet1.addCell(lblcmbdata);
    //set the validation named range as below
    writableCellFeature.setDataValidationRange("cmbdata");
    Label cmb = null;
    cmb = new Label(0, 1, "Select",format);
    cmb.setCellFeatures(writableCellFeature);
    sheet.addCell(cmb);Thanks and Regards

  • Conditional creation of accounts in a resource - required field not working

    Hi,
    We want to conditionally create account objects in a resource, based upon whether or not the users account has a non-empty value for a particular atttribute.
    To me this seems to be what the 'required' attribute on a field is for, in theory I should be able to tag a field as required, and then if an account dosn't have a value for the attribute, it won't be created on the resource.
    The Help, from IDM6.0, says the following:
    Required -- If this attribute is required to create an account on the resource,
    select the option. This selection applies only when creating accounts.
    When I try to do this though, it fails, it goes ahead and creates the account within the resource anyway.
    So what did I do wrong, or am I misunderstanding the meaning of this.
    To test this, I created 2 XML Resources, Res1, and Res2.
    I specified that Res1 had accountId, and email as attributes.
    I specified that Res2 had accountId, and email as attributes, but ticked email as required.
    I made accountId the idntity template in both cases.
    I then created 2 test accounts test1, and test2, but only gave an email address to test1, but assigned both resources to both accounts.
    Both resource xml files had both users listed.
    For those who care more, the reason we want to do this is that we are running an LDAP with a sendmail tree, and want to populate this via IDM, all our users have email accounts, but not all have email aliases. Therefore, we only need some of the users to have entries that look like this.
    sendmailMTAKey=fred.bloggs, ou=sendmail, o=anu.edu.au
    sendmailMTAHost=anu.edu.au
    sendmailMTAAliasValue=u1234567
    sendmailMTAKey=fred.bloggs
    sendmailMTAAliasGrouping=aliases
    objectClass=sendmailMTA
    objectClass=sendmailMTAAlias
    objectClass=sendmailMTAAliasObject
    objectClass=top
    So I guess the question is really 2 things, what am I doing wrong with conditional account creation? Is this the right way to create these entries in the LDAP sendmail tree?

    Hi again,
    For those who care, I've got a resolution to the specific problem I mentioned in the above post, even if no answer to the general question of conditionally adding accounts on resources.
    In this specific case, I had been given a poor description of the requirements of the sendmail schema. It turned out on closer investigation that a single ldap record could hold all the information needed. It seems the sendmai schema had been implemented inefficiently locally, before we looked to run it through IDM.

  • ASA self-signed certificate for Anyconnect 3.1, which attributes?

    Hi everybody,
    I can't find the detailed information which attributes are exactly needed for the Anyconnect 3.1 client to correctly identify the VPN server -ASA 8.4(4)1
    I have added two servers in the client connection profile:
    IP address, primary protocol IPsec
    IP address/non-default port number, primary protocol SSL
    Connecting via IPsec only issues a warning about "untrusted source" (I didn't import the certificate as trusted, but that's not the issue)
    Connecting via SSL issues an additional warning "Certificate does not match the server name".
    The self-signed certificate (created with ASDM) includes the IP address as DN cn, additionally as alternate identity "IP address". I have exported the certificate and parsed it with openssl (after re-encoding to PKCS#12 DER) and apparently no attributes are included.
    I would like to give it a try with certtool and openssl to generate a self-signed certificate which is accepted by the Anconnect 3.1, where can I find a detailed description, which attributes are required for Anyconnect SSL sessions? I'm convinced the identity (DN cn) is OK.

    Shamelessly bumping this question,
    Anyone out there (maybe from Cisco) who can tell us, which atttributes are required on a self signed certificate?
    I keep getting "Certificate does not match the Server Name" for SSL-VPN, IPsec-VPN is fine for the same server.

    The wli server generated log file very quickly ,:it can output 1M bytes log file per second,all logged information
    is similar to the <BEA-010049> excetpion metioned above. BEA support engineer suggested me to totally stop the
    archive ,I did so,but the server was still ouput the log file like crazy as before and the normal log information are
    completely override by <BEA-010049> excetpion.
    I checked the EntityEJBs in WLI console :Mywlidomain> Applications> WLI System EJBs> WLI Worklist Persistence$)A#,and
    found that in statistics table :
    ListenerBean : Pool miss ratio = 99.67%, transaction rollback ration = 99.90%,Destory Bean Ratio = 99.48%(see
    attachment)
    WorklistTimerMDB: transaction rollback ratio = 99.97%
    It seems ListenerBean worked incorrectly.I searched in support.bea.com and found one example which also about server
    output endless log file,the author solved this problem by changing Bean's transaction-attribute from 'Required'
    to 'RequiresNew' thought he didn't know why it works. I try this method by changing ListenerBean's
    transaction-attribute from 'Required' to 'RequiresNew'.
    $weblogic_home/integration/lib/wli-ejbs.ear/ejb-jar-generic.xml:
    <ejb-name>CommentBean</ejb-name>
    <method-name>*</method-name>
    </method>
    <trans-attribute>Required</trans-attribute>
    </container-transaction>
    <container-transaction>
    <method>
    <ejb-name>ListenerBean</ejb-name>
    <method-name>*</method-name>
    </method>
    <trans-attribute>RequiresNew</trans-attribute> -----------the default value is Required,I modified it to
    RequiresNew.
    </container-transaction>
    <container-transaction>
    really it works, the log file output resume normal. But there are still some problems:
    (1) this exception is still exist:
    javax.ejb.NoSuchEntityException: [EJB:010140]Bean with primary key: '153.22.52.28-17343c7.10243c3c6ec.a51' not found.
    (2) is this method safe ?(Does "Modify ListenBean's transaction-attribute" impat other parts of wli system?)
    (3) after changed the transaction attribute, if turn on archive again, the server output endless exception:

    How can I solve these problem ? any suggestion is warm welcome.
    Thanks in advance.
    Great Lou

    Back up all data to at least two different storage devices, if you haven't already done so. The backups can be made with Time Machine or with a mirroring tool such as Carbon Copy Cloner. Preferably both.
    Boot into Recovery (command-R at startup), launch Disk Utility, and erase the startup volume with the default options.This operation will destroy all data on the volume, so you had be better be sure of your backups. Quit Disk Utility and install OS X. When you reboot, you'll be prompted to go through the initial setup process. That’s when you transfer the data from one of your backups. For details of how this works, see here:
    Using Setup Assistant
    Transfer only "Users" and "Settings" – not "Applications" or "Other files." Don't transfer the Guest account, if it was enabled on the old system. Test. If the problem is still there, you have a hardware fault. Take the machine to an Apple Store for diagnosis.
    If the problem is resolved, reinstall your third-party software cautiously. Self-contained applications that install into the Applications folder by drag-and-drop or download from the App Store are safe. Anything that comes packaged as an installer or that prompts for an administrator password is suspect, and you must test thoroughly after reinstalling each such item to make sure you haven't restored the problem.
    Note: You need an always-on Ethernet or Wi-Fi connection to the Internet to use Recovery. It won’t work with USB or PPPoE modems, or with proxy servers, or with networks that require a certificate for authentication.
