Attunity connectors for Oracle in Import Export Wizard in SQL Server 2008 R2

Is there a way we can see the Attunity connectors drivers in the Import/Export Wizard (64 bit) for SQL Server 2008 R2?
Although I made it work for SSIS, I would need these drivers in the Import/Export wizard so as to automate it for numerous number of tables which I want to migrate.
Can the Attunity connectors for Oracle be used in the Import/Export wizard? If so please let me know.
Regards,
Ashutosh.
Ashutosh.

I have 100 tables to migrate. Creating a data flow for each table is tedious and that's why I was looking out for a way to do it through import export wizard so that I don't have to create a separate data source and destination for each table in the Data
flow Task.
Is there a way to loop through all tables and transfer data in SSIS without having multiple sources and destinations created for each table? This also involves a bit of transformation as well.
Regards,
Ashutosh.

  • CDC for Oracle Continually goes to Aborted State - SQL Server 2012

I am setting up a test environment for CDC with an Oracle system.  I have everything set up to the point where logs are being read and data appears to be getting added to the CDC tables in SQL Server.  However, at different times during the day,
the status of the service goes to Aborted and the service is completely stopped.  The first time I start the service, it will run for about 1 hour, before it aborts.  After that, it only takes 2 or 3 minutes, sometimes less, before this happens again.
Below are the last entries in the log when the instance aborted.  Whenever the instance aborts, the last message is always "Reading Complementary records for large log miner SQL_REDO/SQL_UNDO".  I'm guessing there's a permission or setting
in Oracle that I'm missing, but I don't know what it is.

    Hi Every Body,
1- How to Stage directory for Oracle EBS R12.1.1 downloaded from e-delivery.com on Window Server 2008.?
-- I have download all files from e-delivery and check the md5 and all files are OK.
I extracted the entire files with winrar program to the same directory and during the unzipping I was notified to replace these files (dvd.label and component.label) and I agreed each time. So >>
    2- Was that a problem ?
-- I have setup vc++ from VS6 , the sp6, cygwin , ... and set up the active directory and the domain.. and all other requirements.
BUT when i started the ebs set up it raise the "*Os User and Group Check*" error.
even if I am the only user and sure I am the Administrator. and also I run this Command to be sure
C:\>net localgroup administrators and it said that the administrator is one of the administrators group.
3- Somebody said that I have to change the temp and tmp folder to be on c:\ drive >> might this solve the problem?
    thanks in advance.

    Hi,
Most of the instructions you have mentioned , already was configured.
except for the tmp and temp directories.
And even I changed them from System Properties >> Advanced >>  Environment Variable under User variable for Administrator and System variables , the problem still exist Os User and Group Check .
I attach the conf_VIS.txt file because I thought it may help.
    http://www.4shared.com/document/1bS6aio5/conf_VIS.html
Actually I am not sure about the rapid install patch version but I have download the EBS R12 from the following link and I think it contains the recent installer version
Link >> Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12.1.1 Media Pack for Microsoft Windows (32-bit)
    http://edelivery.oracle.com/EPD/Download/get_form?egroup_aru_number=11250138
Note If you still can not open the link just suggest a suitable file hosting and I will upload to you. here I used 4shared and hoped it suits you.

  • Attunity CDC for Oracle Service - Oracle 12c Support

For the Attunity CDC for Oracle service that is bundled with SQL Server 2012 SP1, is there support for Oracle 12c?  Or, will there be updates in the near future to support Oracle 12c?  If not, are there other solutions for incremental changes between
    Oracle 12c and SQL Server?

Attunity is not bundled with SQL it is a separate item you need to download and pay for (unless you are on the Enterprise edition of SQL Server).
Regarding the rest of the info: http://www.attunity.com/products/attunity-connect/ssis-connectors-for-oracle-and-teradata says Oracle 6 or HIGHER, so yes, for the updates: Attunity now supports SQL Server 2014.
I am not aware of any other solutions from the Microsoft solution stuck side of the view.

  • Inserting data from Oracle to SQL Server 2008

    Hi All,
I am using oracle 9.2.0.7 and SQL server 2008 in windows server 2003 operating system.
    My requirment is like below.
    1) I would liek to insert data from the Oracle database to SQL Server.
For the above requirement we have created the ODBC, then configure the listener file, tns file, and created the db link. This part is working fine as I am able to select the data from the SQL Server.
But when I am inserting the record from the oracle database to the SQL Server I am getting the error, (ORA-00904) Here oracle can not identified the column name.
My insert statement is like below.
    insert into test@SQLTEST (name, fullname)
    values ('Oracle', 'Oracle server data');
Test is the SQL server table name and sqltest is the db link name.
If I am select the data
select * from test@SQLTEST from Oralce I am getting the data properly.
    Thanks,

Problem is that, I have to migrate stored procedure on Sql server 2008 to oracle Oracle database:
    Whole scenario--
    1. Sql Server 2008 application on Windows server (source machine)
    2. I have to migrate 70 Stored Procedure
    3. To Oracle Database on Linux machine (Target machine)
    Any method (no problem)
Please, help me or give me any reference as I don't know which keyword is differ in both database.
    Thanks in advance

    Hi,
You could the free Oracle SQL*Developer to do this.
There is information and a download link here -
    Oracle SQL Developer</title><meta name="Title" content="Oracle SQL Developer"><meta n…
and information on using it for migrations here -
    http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/database/migration/index-084442.html
You could use it in 2 ways -
    1. Go through a migration but just pull the stored procedure code from the file created after you generate the SQL from the SQL*Server database
    2. Use the scratch editor accessed from -
    - Tools - Migration - Scratch Editor
and paste the SQL*Server stored procedure code into the window and it will convert it to Oracle code. The tool is very good but may have problems if you have very complicated procedures that use SQL*Server specific utilities.

  • Import/Export wizard auto-generates all columns as DATE

    Hi
I'm trying to use the Import/Export Wizard as I used to, as a handy tool to figure out what a series of T-SQL statements (in an SSIS package) is doing - or, if I'm lucky, what on earth the original dev
    intended them to do.
    Version: SQL 2014 64-bit running on Win 7 64-bit
    The code is pretty dreadful:
SELECT DISTINCT on one set of column names,
join this set to another table but not on exactly the same set of column names,
embedded (SELECT MAX(bla) FROM SameTable WHERE [match to outer set on another set of columns] GROUP BY [hey, yet another set of columns!]) inside the SELECT column list...
and it all goes to a nasty #Tmp, which is then abused with further bad code further down.
Imp/Exp is always handy to quickly get the intermediate results into an auto-created real table, so I can figure out exactly what the effect of this is.  I use it to export from the database back to the same database, but to a persisted table.
This time (first time with SQL2014) it's not working.  The source is "write a query" (paste the actual query).  The destination I set to a new table.  The auto-generation of the new table creates every column as type
date.  Not surprisingly, this doesn't work, as the original data is mostly not of
    date time.
Looks like a bug.  Any idea of a workaround or fix?
    thanks!

Sorry, but I think you're still not getting what I'm saying.
This is not a production SSIS package design, but a quick'n'nasty diagnosis technique I'm used to using:
    - Find some SQL in an existing query/script that I'm trying to debug
    - Paste it into Import/Export wizard as a source
    - Wizard creates a new table for the result - I then have the results persisted for examination, comparison with the results from refactored code, etc.
And I can't even put suitable CAST/CONVERT statements in, because the wizard is mis-identifying the
input column data types, with no way to change them.   It's somehow thinking that every column in the input (the SQL query) is of type
date(500), when the columns are obviously not of this type.

Attempted to transfer Access 2003 DB tables from an mdb file to a SQL 2008 Express DB.

I know you said you clicked "Advanced..." and Test Connection when you chose your Access database - but that is what resolved the error for me.  I chose my .mdb file, username is admin, password is blank, but if I don't click the Advanced button and test the connection before continuing on, the import fails with above error message.  Go figure, since the username/blank password is correct.
FWIW, sorry if that doesn't help you though.

  • SQL Server Import Export Wizard fails while trying to retrieve the data from FastObjects Database

When trying to import data from FastObjects database to SQL Server 2008 R2 using import/ export wizard we get the following error message :
"Column information for the source and the destination data could not be retrieved, or the data types of source columns were not mapped correctly to those available on the destination provider."
Clicked on View button, the source data is retrieved correctly.
Clicked on Edit Mapping button, the Import Export Wizard failed with the below error message:

    Hi Chennie,
    Thank you for the post.
Does the issue persists after you use the "Write a query to specify the data to transfer" option instead of “Copy data from one or more tables or views” option? If so, the issue may occur due to incorrect data type matching between the FastObjects database
data types and SSIS data types. In this condition, I don’t think it is necessary to upgrade the SQL Server version. Since you can open the Column Mappings dialog box, please try to modify the data type mapping manually.
In addition, the issue seems to be the same as the issue described in the following blog:

  • OIM 9.1.0 install connector for "Oracle Database 10g"

    Hello,
Is anybody here who succeeded to install the connector for Oracle Database 10g into OIM 9.1.0?
If yes please give me a hint
    Have a nice day!

Thanks guys for the quick responses.
But I have tried both the options for putting the jar in Third Party and also by uploading using the OOTB utility UploadJar.sh.
But it is giving the same error.
I have tired rebouncing the server and also Purge cached, but no success.
Just to mention again, I have tried with all the last 3 postgres JDBC4 driver available on the site (u mentioned).
    So, any other clue?
    Thanks in advance.

  • Issue with attunity connectors for SSIS 2012

    hi ,
i have installed the attunity connectors for teradata .
the connector is able to transfer data from teradata to sql server pretty fast but there are some issues which i am facing .
    any help is appreciated.
    steps i am using :
    1. i am pulling data from teradata to sql server using a sql command .
     the issue .
the query which i type in teradata source should be in a line else it will throw a error for new line character.
    2nd issue :
the teradata source pulls the data but the package(when executing from Data Tools visual studio) doesnot completes successfully . it says that package is successfully executed please click here to switch to design mode .
so if there is any step after this step then it will not execute and the package gets stuck at this point .

So as ypou can see the third image contains the no of rows in the table in teradata is264558. bu the no of rows transferred from teradata to sql server is 254696. and this keeps on running even when u can see that the first snapshot says that the package
has finished the execution . but data is still pending .
seems like a wierd issue . Any help/guidance is appreciated.
    Thanks

    Hi,
    Thanks for the translation.
You say you are having a hard time exporting my database Primavera P6 Project Management for SQL Server 2008. Could you give details of exactly what you are using for the export and what problems you are having ?
Is this an export from an Oracle database or a SQL*Server 2008 database ?
    Regards,
    Mike
