ATV zone 2 issues with Yamaha A700 receiver

Short time lurker, first time poster. In any event, I recently purchased ATV and hooked device to my Yamaha A700 receiver at HDMI input 3. Sound and video quality if perfect when streaming to zone 1. However, when attempting to push music to zone 2...silence. I have an optical cable installed to an open optical input on the receiver as well, so I am not certain what else there is to do. Any help/assistance or guidance would be greatly appreciated!!!

OK, you mention you have an optical cable going into the receiver as well, is this just an alternative to HDMI for diagnosis or the input to zone 2. In other words how does the system work, do you provide one input and the system outputs it to two zones or are you required to provide an input for each zone.
When you connect the blu-ray, do you use the same inputs that you are trying for the Apple TV ?

  • Time Zone issue with 7.0 and DB2

    Hi,
We are having a time zone issue with weblogic server 7.0 and DB2 database. I would really appreciate if somebody provides a solution for this issue.
Our db2 DB is located in PST time zone and weblogic server is located in EST time zone.
When we access current timestamp from db2, we are getting PST time converted to EST and EST time zone attached with timestamp value.
I tried to use resultset.getTimeStamp (1,<calendar>), unfortunately this method is not supported in the DB2 driver version I am using.
We want to get same value as returned by db2 with db2 time zone not weblogic server time zone.
And also when we add new record with timestamp column through web service, regardless the time zone value sent by web service client ".Net" ,
Weblogic server converts the java.util.Date value to weblogic time zone and stores in the db.
For example, client sent 17:00 hours CST, but when it gets stored in db through weblogic ws, weblogic converts 17:00 to 18:00 EST and stores in database as 18:00 hours without any time zone. When we read this value back, we are getting it 18:00 EST only not 17:00 CST.
This is fine as long as writing and reading by same weblogic server. If another weblogic server instance in PST time zone read this value, it takes as 18:00 PST.
Due to this our application always shows timestamp hours differently.
Could some body help me to fix this problem, we are getting this problem in production after we moved our DB2 location to different time zone.
    Thanks
    Balaji

  • Since Nov 11 we have very big issues with our emails received via exchange server. Part of them are empty

Since Nov 11 all Iphone and Ipad of our company have very big issues with email synchronization. We all synchronized with Exchange server.
In the past nobaody had issue.
Some of our users have IOS 6 and others IOS 5
Messages arrived empty and it is impossible to download them.
Nobody is able to answer ????
I have the same issue with my personnal Ipad synchronized with exchange also.

This resolution have to attend at the server not with the ios device. My employer's mail administrator reject me to correct it from the server. As his concern is, if ither ios devices works why don't mine? So I am helpless than changing my iphone. It works fine for early versions of ios and with androids. And also one of my friends iphone4 with ios 7 (similar as mine) works too. So I guess it's something wrong with my iPhones settings. But basic question I cannot understand is it works in my phone before this ios7 upgrading. And currently working with my yahoo account too. Favourable reply expected.

  • Time Zone issues with iCal 2.0.3?

I've been using iCal for a while now, and haven't had any problems until just recently. For some reason, meeting notices sent to me from Outlook (Windows XP) now appear in iCal with times for Africa (I am based in Arizona, and the people sending me the invitations are also based in the same office in Arizona). I have Time Zone Support turned ON in iCal, and the times on the PCs are set for the proper time zone as well.
The other problem is that when I reply to the invitation, Mail sends the acceptance like before. The sender receives this acceptance as an email (with my time zone being in Africa instead of Arizona), but Outlook no longer registers/updates the response.
Is anyone else out there having these issues? I have all of my Apple software up-to-date. Thanks.
    G5 dual 2.3GHz   Mac OS X (10.4.5)   1.5GB RAM, 2nd 250GB SATA internal HD

I don't know if this helps anyone, but I went ahead and turned time zone support OFF. I still get the meeting invitations which are off by 7 hours, but when I accept the invitation, it shows the correct time for Arizona but still has Africa in parentheses after it. It is only a workaround, but at least I know what the correct time of the meeting should be. Does Apple know that this latest release of iCal is seriously flawed, and are they going to do anything to fix this problem?
It is frustrating because iCal used to work flawlessly with Outlook up until recently, and nothing has changed on my end.

  • New Time Zone Issue with MobileMe Calendar Upgrade

I'm having strange things happen with sending/receiving "invitations" to people in other time zones.
Prior to this MobileMe calendar upgrade, sending/receiving invitations worked fine. I would schedule an event (obviously in my time zone), and if I invite a friend in a different time zone, the event would show up on her Google Calendar at the proper time. Between iCal and Google Calendar, the time zone translation was working properly. Likewise, when she scheduled an event and sent me an invitation, the event showed up in iCal at the proper time for me.
But now, after simply upgrading MobileMe calendar, events from me to her show up at the wrong time! It's as if the time zone translation is no longer occurring. Oddly, events that she sends to me still work correctly.
I have "Turn on time zone support" enabled in iCal, MobileMe calendar, and on the iPhone.
So this very nice feature that was working previously seems to have broken with the MobileMe calendar upgrade.
Has anyone else seen this, or (hopefully) solved it?
    Thanks!
    Jim

  • Issue with Xi File Receiver "Content Conversion" fixed length and kanji

I need to create a fixed length file for a customer that has kanji (SJIS) characters in it.  The issue is when the length of the value is less than the fixed length.  It is padding out with spaces, but it is putting 2 bytes per space instead of one (But it seems to have counted the padding in characters...).
    .fieldFixedLengths: 8,6,40,40
    .fixedLengthTooShortHandling: Cut
    .fieldNames: date,time,name1,name2
Receiver, please don't answer for sender.

    Paul,
Can you please tell what is coming in the output file if the values are:
    date:  062309
    time:   2240
    name1: hello
    name2: hello2
When you put space here and if it is not showing correctly just to interpret you can use S which will stand for space.

  • AppleTV not working with Yamaha AV Receiver

I have a Yamaha RX-V665 AV Receiver.  All of my other HDMI devices (a blu-ray player and connected macbook) work just fine through the receiver going to my Panasonic 65" display.  However the AppleTV 2 (purchased May 2012) does not.
    Any ideas?
I've already tried plugging directly to the display and it works.
I've tried swapping cables - all of my cables are fast enough and good.
    I've reset the AppleTV.
I have the latest AppleTV software (as of 7-24-2012)
    Thanks.

Sorry. By it's not working I mean there's no image on the display as AppleTV is going into the receiver and out from it to the receiver.  I've tried all of the receiver ports with my HDMI capable devices and they all work.  It's only the AppleTV that doesn't seem tot work with it.

  • HT2513 I am having time zone issues with certain calendar requests

There are certain calendar requests I receive via calendare attachment via email that do not align to correct time based on originating time zone.   Currently I am in the Central Time Zone and these certain requests come from Eastern Time Zone users.  I have looked at time zone settings and all settings appear correct.   However, when I look at calendar request to edit the request, it shows that the time zone is central time zone in request.

  • Issue with message in receiver determination

    hello,
I have sent a IDOC message in PI and has reached in PI and can see it with IDX5.The message fails though with error no reciver found.
When I am in Receiver determination I do a test in the overview and seem there is no error seen.
So I am not sure where the error is coming from.
    Thanks for the help.

    Hi,
1.If you created the Business System in the SLD, check whether it is having the Logical Name and it should be the in ID Business System --> Adapter Specific Identifiers.
If it matches with that value, then activate and do the full cache refresh by using the url
    http://host:port/CPACache/refresh?mode=full
    2. Make some dummy changes to your existing receiver Determination --> Save --> Activate --> Check if cache updated properly.
The above error normally occurs in case:
          1) Incorrect receiver name is maintained in RD
          2) Cache is not updated.....this is the most common reason
          3) Condition (if any in Receiver Determination) is not satisfied.
    Please go through below thread,
    No receiver could be determined
    regards,
    ganesh.

  • Time Zone issues with iphone 3GS running ios4

My iphone calendar reminders have been behaving strangely since the ios 4 upgrade. I checked time zone support and it was set to my current city (Indianapolis, EST). Phone has been recently synched, and is otherwise behaving normally.
I travel occasionally to Chicago which is in CST. I noticed when I was there that reminders were coming up at the meeting's posted time. E.g. at 9:00 am when I was in Chicago I was getting reminders for 9 am meetings in Indianapolis (by which point the meeting had already occurred).
When I returned to Indy, I am still getting notifications at odd times - I got a reminder at 12:15 pm that a meeting would be starting at 12:30 pm. The meeting was actually set to start at 1:30 pm.
My next step is to reset the iphone, but this seems like a buggy situation. I hope I don't need to make it a normal part of my not-infrequent travel across the time zone borders to reset my iphone.

I have a 3G and also have this issue. I am in EST and travelled to CST. Since I got back, my reminders are showing up 1 hour too early. I am going to do a hard reset and see what happens. Let me know if you find a solution.

  • Issues with iMessage when switching data carrier (wifi - cellular)

So I have had this issue with my 5S and now my 6+ in iMessage. Not *always* but often enough I've run into issues sending messages via iMessage when I associate with wifi in that they don't send. I'll get an error message saying "not delivered" and it will stack as many outgoing messages I try to send. However, if I force the first message to send as text, subsequent messages will go through afterwards without issue. If I go from wifi to cellular I have no issues whatsoever and when I have these issues on wifi, my data works fine (incoming emails, Facebook notifications, etc.). I used to run cellular data only because I had unlimited but now I have a cap so I intend on using wifi when possible...but to have to send my first message as a text just so I can use iMessage is annoying...

    Hi there BigDogg795,
I would recommend taking a look at the troubleshooting steps for iMessage found in the article below.
iOS: Troubleshooting Messages - Apple Support
To resolve issues with sending and receiving iMessages, follow these steps
Check iMessage system status for current service issues.
Go to Settings > Messages > Send & Receive and make sure that you registered iMessage with your phone number or Apple ID and that you selected iMessage for use. If the phone number or Apple ID isn't available for use, troubleshoot iMessage registration.
Open Safari and navigate to www.apple.com to verify data connectivity. If a data connection isn't available, troubleshoot cellular data or a Wi-Fi connection.
iMessage over cellular data might not be available while you're on a call. Only 3G and faster GSM networks support simultaneous data and voice calls. Learn which network your phone supports. If your network doesn't support simultaneous data and voice calls, go to Settings > Wi-Fi and turn Wi-Fi on to use iMessage while you're on a call.
    Restart your device.
Tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings on your iPhone.
If you still can't send or receive an iMessage, follow these steps
Make sure that the contact trying to message you isn't blocked in Settings > Messages > Blocked.
Make sure that the contact you're trying to send a message to is registered with iMessage.
If the issue occurs with a specific contact or contacts, back up or forward important messages and delete your current messaging threads with the contact. Create a new message to the contact and try again.
If the issue occurs with a specific contact or contacts, delete and recreate the contact in the Contacts app. Create a new message to the newly created contact and try again.
Back up and restore your device as new.

  • I have an issue with some PDF documents   some MS Office documents, notably MS Word when received in eMail as attachments not displaying on iPhones, iPad 2s

    Hi,
I have an issue with some PDF documents & some MS Office documents, notably MS Word when received in eMail as attachments not displaying properly on iPhones, iPad 2s & new iPads?
PDF docs - areas of the doc only show as grey splotches regardles of viewer
    MS Word Docs -
inserted graphics don't display at all,
tables & lists especially with borders are broken &
tables & lists missing the borders &
tables & lists missing the 1st 1-2 lines of the lists/tables.
This is replicated on iPhone 4s, iPhone 4Ss, iPad 2s, iPad new (x2)
It certainly happens in iOS 5.1.1 & iOS 5.1
We believe it all worked aok in iOS 5.0.1(?) & prior
There is no problems reading/seeing these PDF & Word docs on anything other than iDevices.
This is rather critical for us & if not quickly fixed/rectified will prevent us from further purchases of these devices
Rolling back to iOS 5.0.1 or prior I believe isn't possible because of the BaseBand update(?) & isn't much of an option because of the quite noticeable Battery/Charging/WiFi improvements in 5.1 & 5.1.1

    Hi,
I logged a call with AppleCare & have since had explained why this occurs (some time ago)
I'll try to explain what was indicated to me.
iOS has a limited Font Set & this affects what PDFs can display. You need to use iOS supported fonts in your PDFs to see/read them properly
These supported fonts are indicated here => http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4980
Regards MS office docs, iOS doesn't have much of an API to work with MS Office documents at all so is stuck with 3rd Party Apps to try to do it.
Unfortunately Mail in/on iOS uses the API to attempt to open/use MS Office attachments unless you tell it to use an App to open the attachment.
I have had success opening & reading MS office docs now with CloudOn, but find it slow & very awkward to use.
Not too sure if this helps others, but at least it explains why this is occurring

  • Issue With Receiving Calls. PLEASE HELP!!!!

For the past couple of months both lines on my account have been experiencing issues. Randomly, when someone attempts to call one of the 2 lines (me or my wife), they receive the "Thank you for calling Verizon Wireless. The number you have reached has been changed, disconnected, or no longer in service." They then have to call back (sometimes multiple times before they can get through). I experience it when I call from my mobile to my wife's phone as well. It is become quite a pain and VZW has been NO help at all!!! They claim I am in a marginal service area. There are multiple problems with that statement.
    1. I am in a great service area and I always have full service.
    2. The problem does not always occur in my home service area!!!
The rep then changed her mind and said it must be equipment, however my wife has been through 3 different phones within the past couple of months.
She then recommended I changed carriers!!!!! This really upset me as I have Verizon service for everything (VZW and FiOS).
Can someone please recommend any kind of solution????

First, you really should consider calling another representative and report your disatisfaction with that prior rep. Advising you to switch carriers was in poor taste. They are trained quite thoroughly to assist customers to the fullest and not advise leaving VZW. Secondly, if the issue has transcended the device in that it has happened through multiple esn changes (your wife has been through 3, you wrote), then it obviously is not the device. Next, if you are experiencing intermittent issues with this in an area that otherwise works fine, it probably has nothing to do with the service coverage; if the coverage was a problem, you either would be unable to make a call at all, would have multiple dropped calls, or would experience an increasingly degraded call quality. This tells me that it has to do with the phone's connection to the network, which an over-the-air program attempt might resolve (*228, option number 1 - you could even possibly get away with option number 2) like the prior individual explained above. The likelihood is that you are going to need to file a trouble ticket with your lines, which can only be done through technical support after going through the initial level of troubleshooting through customer care. You really should call them again, with this knowledge backing you up.
