AUD: Interfaced CIP/RWIP Amounts by FA Period Report

I am trying to reconcile the Assets capitalised in a Period.
Is this the correct report to use and will I be able to control the data which appears in the report using the FA Period parameters. For example, if I
want to analyse Assets capitalised in Q1 2103 if I use FA Period from = Jan-13 and FA Period to = MAR-13 will the report just display asset capitalised in
those periods?
Thanks in advance.
Regards
Tom

Hi Tom,
AUD: Interfaced CIP/RWIP Amounts by FA Period Report to view a summary of assets and asset lines interfaced from Oracle Projects to Oracle Assets.
Optionally choose to sort the report by asset category or project number.
You must run the process PRC: Tieback Asset Lines from Oracle Assets before you run the AUD: Interfaced CIP/RWIP Amounts By FA Period Report.

  • CIP and Interfaced CIP Asset Cost

    Hi,
Just came across this thing, when doing the capital project. I could see two columns CIP and Interfaced CIP. can anyone kindly tell me whats the difference between those.
I could see the value which is lying in the CIP column, but the same is not in the Interface CIP column. when after running the program of "generate asset lines" also its not generated lines. what is the thing needs to be done to get generate the line and to change the value from CIP to Interfaced CIP. I could guess, by running the Interface Program, the value will get transfer from CIP to Interfaced CIP. but, when I run the Generate Program, no lines output.
    Thanks,
    Lavanya

    Hi Lavanya,
Below are the points you may have to check:
    1. Check all the costs have been cost distributed( You need to run the appropriate cost distribution process
labor, expense, miscellaneous etc depending upon your expenditure type).
    2. Check the project type for the project. In the capitalization information, alternate region it indicates
whether raw or burden costs are being capitalized. If burden costs are used, then nothing will get picked up
unless Distribute total Burden costs has been run.
    3. Make sure that the assets have an in-service date and that the report parameter Date Placed In Service
    Through includes this date.
    4. Check the PA Date Through parameter used. Note that this must be at least the last day of the period
which includes the PA Date of the cost distribution lines of the expenditure.
If this date is not the last day of a period, the process will select the first date which is a last day of a period
    prior to the date entered.
Lets say your PA periods are like below:
    JAN-09 01-JAN-09 to 31-JAN-09
    FEB-09 01-FEB-09 to 28-FEB-09
If you have CDL's with a PA date of 15-FEB-09, and you enter a PA date through 25-FEB-09, these CDL's will not be picked up because the process will not actually use the date 25-FEB-09, but rather the first period ending date prior to that date, or 31-JAN-09.
    5. Check the project status. In Setup-Projects-Status, make sure that the project's current status has the
    Capitalize Assets action allowed.

    Hi,
    S_ALR_87012357 / S_ALR_87012356
Tax amount for tax codes V9, VP and VT are calculated and

  • LMS v.4 Periodic Reports

    Hello Dears
I Need your support as i have problem with Periodic Reports, I need to stop creating them or change thier date
Can any one help me with this issue
    Best Regards,
    Mohamed Atef

We can suggest the best way to schedule the job you want in LMS. But you have to share more details on which job is it? Any system job or user created job? Name of job - like Netconfig, Sync Archive etc.
Ideally each job has as number in 4 digit : say 1234. And when the job is scheduled, it runs with an instance number after a decimal, like 1234.1, 1234.2, 1234.3, .... , 1234.n incrementing each time it runs.
To edit, you have to modify the first instance by searching that job in job browser under admin.
In a system job, which is there for inventory or configuration archive, you can simply try to disable it once and enable with new schedules.
Please share more details on job type and LMS version.

  • Payment Scheme amount adjustment on periodic review

    Hi Experts,
Can you please explain me adjustment of extrapolated amount and bill amount, while periodc review. or any document which explain me that, i have debug the program but found nothing.
Example : In periodic review invoice generated for 300 and extrapolation amount will be 600.
In simple case new line on Payment Scheme, extrapolated amount is 900 and bill amount is 300 and instilment amount is 100 per mount ( 600 /12 )
but in some casa the extrapolated amount is differ from extrapolated amount. i observe this deviation comes from last line item of payment scheme that is adjusted due to new line item creation.
I can able to explain the how new extrapolation amount comes but i can't able to explain why this is happening in some case.
    Regards
    Naresh

    Hi!
    The process is as follows:
    Invoice Entry                       : F-43
    Outgoing payment              : F-53
    Downpayment                    :F-48
TRansfer amount from Downpayment(Special GL) to normal GL: F-54
    Then Clear Normal item       :F-44
First you transfer the advance amount from special GL to Normal GL through F-54(to clear advance payment). Then it will convert the special GL to normal GL to clear the advance amount. Then you clear advance payment through F-44 which is converted as normal item. If still the invoice amount is more than the advance amount, after clearing the advance amount you can clear balance amount by F-44

  • Adjust the depreciation amount in posted period

    Hi Experts,
I've changed one of my asset depreciation key from 20% to 10% straight line method. The changes is done in period 6. I have run AFAR for this changes.
Let say my planned depreciation was 1000 (for 20% dep. key) and now the new depreciation would be 500 (for 10% dep key). I would like the depreciation to be recalculate in period 1 (i.e 1000 minus 500) and distribute the amount evenly throughout the period (period 1 to 6). Is it possible?
I've run AFAB in planned mode and the changes (lump sum) will only take places on next period (period 7). When i execute AFAB in restart mode (period 1), the error says restart is not possible for period 1.
    Appreciate your advise.

    Hi Nana,
Have a look also at KBA 1534331 - RAPOST2000 - How to post 'planned depreciation' for
subsequent posting or depreciation change in same period
This knowledge base article describes the situation how the system will pick up the depreciation adjustment when a change in depreciation terms (e.g. change of depreciation key) has been made.
As Mukthar is pointing out, if you have run depreciation already (ordinary planned depreciation run in AFAB), and afterwards you make a change, you can start a repeat run for that very same period again and it will adjust the value equally to all periods going forward.
You find in this KBA also an attachment which outlines an example.
I hope this helps further in understanding how depreciation is adjusted after a change of depreciation terms.
    Best regards,
    Brigitte

  • How to put sales incentive bonus % amount and the period in oracle

How do I put in the sales incentive % and the period?
we put in the bonus amount (I know how to do that in Oracle), but I cannot find where to do my inputs for the % and the period concerned (all sales incentive bonuses are paid over certain quarters of the year – e.g. I now have to make inputs on the sales incentive bonuses for quarter 1 till 3). It is essential for us to track amounts, % and period.
We also had this opportunity in People Soft and I assume that we do have that in Oracle
any help would be highly appreciated
    thanks in advance

some more context would be useful. Are you implementing core payroll, or CWB, or you just want to store these sales figures in basic HR? Or self-service?

  • Managing revaluation amounts after manual period closing for a material

    Hello everyone,
We implemented [Note 645083 - Material period status set to "Closing Entry Completed"|https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/645083], along with [Note 364368 - Material ledger help desk|https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/364368] as instructed in the former. Then we ran MLHELP_DELETE_UMBEW and saw that revaluation amounts do exist, which we are supposed to move to a revaluation account. So here comes the question: Where are these amounts now, in a price difference account? Also, how do I manage them afterwards, just leave them on the revaluation account?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hello,
the correct closing of the previous period would have moved the revaluation amounts to the price difference accounts in the current period. But if you change the status manually, these revaluation amounts have to be deleted manually. Otherwise the single-level settlement will not work for the current period. The revaluation amounts will not be used for the actual costing in the current period and would remain on the respective accounts.
Report MLHELP_DELETE_UMBEW can be run in update mode only by SAP Support. If you want these revaluation amounts to be deleted, please create a message (component CO-PC-ACT).

  • Trouble trying to get correct AP Check Amount total on a report

Okay, the challenge is to try and explain my situation well. I am in Discoverer Plus. I am working to develop a Discoverer report that will show, for accounts payable application, a summary report by bank name and job number, a check count, invoice count, and check amount total. For simplicity sake, since I have the problem once I go past one table, I am dealilng with tables ap_checks_all and ap_invoice_payments_all from EBS, the tables joined on check id. Now, if I work just with the ap_checks_all table, I can easily get the correct sum of check amounts (column name in the table is AMOUNT). However when I bring in the invoice payments table, then I run into trouble. I first did the SUM data point for AMOUNT, and got a number that was way too high. Figured out that is because anytime I have multiple invoices on a check (which is most of the time), the check amount gets added in for each invoice. So if check amount is $100.00 and the check pays 5 invoices, $500.00 is added to the total amount, instead of the just the $100.00.
So I tried the SUM_DISTINCT function next - SUM_DISTINCT(AMOUNT). Got me a lot closer, but now my total was too low. Figured out that was because if I had separate checks with the same check amount, that check amount only gets added in one time. Say Check 18 is for $100.00 and Check 39 is for $100.00, I only get $100.00 into the total instead of $200.00. Which when you think about it, is exactly what the SUM_DISTINCT function means. Since the chances of check amounts being duplicated are low, that is why I get close to the right number, but when dealing with tens of thousands of checks, check amount duplication does happen.
So on my totals for the SUM_DISTINCT column, I finally figured out that a CELL SUM got me closer to the right number. I only had a problem now when, on the same bank name and job number, would still have duplicate check amounts at that key (group by) status level. Percentage wise, my error is low - off maybe $200,000 out of $180,000,000. So close to the right number, yet so far.
The same thing happens in raw SQL. If you think about the raw join result, you can see what is happening -
    check 1, check 1 amount, invoice 1
    check 1, check 1 amount, invoice 2
    check 2, check 2 amount, invoice 3
    check 3, check 3 amount, invoice 4
So if you do SUM(CHECK AMOUNT), well yeah, it will add in the check 1 amount twice.
If you do SUM_DISTINCT(CHECK AMOUNT), then check 1 amount only gets counted once. Great. Ahh, but what if check 3 amount = check 1 amount? Oops, the check 3 amount is excluded.
Does anyone know of a way to get around this problem? I have been playing around with the functions, but the SQL reference does not give many examples to help understand all the various optional parameters. I know, in vague concept, what I want. Something like -
    SUM(AMOUNT) DISTINCT ON CHECK_ID, or
    SUM_DISTINCT(AMOUNT) DISTINCT ON CHECK_ID.
CHECK_ID is the internal Oracle id number for each check, from the ap_checks_all table. Check number is not unique enough, since different bank accounts may be using the same check number in the same time period. So I want a way to be able to add my check amount to the total one time when there are multiple invoices on the check, and then get each invidual check amount (one time) added up to get my check total amount.
Like I said, no problems with Discoverer or raw SQL if doing just one table. But once I join checks to invoice payments, poof, I run into trouble.
I did not think I was trying to do anything unusual. So quite surprising that having so much trouble trying to find a way around this problem.
Hope this detail explanation makes some sense. Thanks for any help/insight anyone can give me.
    John Dickey

    Michael,
Nope, that does not work. It truly just gives me an average. My desired (table) report row format is this -
Bank name , Job Number, Check Count , Invoice Count , Check Amount Total
So this is a SUMMARY report. Not a detail report. If I do detail, I do not have any problems - I get my correct check amount total. If I do just the ap_checks_all table, I get the correct amount (but then cannot get my invoice count). I get the correct check count (count distinct on check id). I get the correct invoice count. When I added a calculation column using the Average function as you suggested, I see on each row what is likely the average check amount. Which is exactly what you would expect to see.
Now I did get a brainstorm and tried this. I calculated both the average and average distinct on check amount, then multiplied each by my check count. Darn. Still does not work. The Average Distinct * Check Count = SUM_DISTINCT(CHECK AMOUNT), which I already have. Average Distinct apparently only includes a duplicate check amount one time in calculating the average (which when you think about it, makes sense, darn it). The AVERAGE function still has the problem, it looks like, of including the check amount each time on checks with multiple invoices (and thus multiple rows in the join result) in determining the average. Which when you think about the raw join result from joining checks to invoice payments tables, makes sense. The result of AVERAGE * CHECK COUNT is better than the SUM(AMOUNT) column, but not as good as the SUM_DISTINCT(AMOUNT) column.
Any other ideas? Interesting that something that seems like a pretty basic thing to do, if it does have a solution, is not a very obvious/simple solution.

Before purging audit data I would suggest two things. First what is the time period for the report in question? If it is for a low usage period then the audit activity as a percentage of the overall load may be a bit distorted. It may also be worth checking to see what information the audit captured as you could have a contractual or legal obligation to capture the data.
Second and most import look to see what audit rules are in effect. By just removing a few unneeded rules such as auditing successful logins/logoffs or changing from by access to by session for specific objects you could potentially remove most of the activity being shown.
You may also want to check to see if a purge job has been set up. See dba_scheduler_jobs and Oracle proviced package: DBMS_AUDIT_MGMT.

  • Difference results in credit and debit amount in sap bi report

    Dear Experts,
In SAP BI FIGL  report  for a particular company code credit and debit amount are matching but the net balance is coming to some few decimal places like 0.03.
Also when I have executed the same report the other time it is showing 0.00 in the net balance.
What could be the reason for the same.
    Thanks

    Hi Deepu,
Thanks very much for the reply.
I had a look at that note, and found that using this method, I could get it to work if the BI report was embedded into a simple frameset (assuming that the fully qualified domain was used to address the frameset)
Unfortunately, it still doesn't help when using the Sharepoint iview viewer - it just continutally reloads itself as before.
    Are there any other solutions?
It seems a bit of a dodgy solution having to embed javascript into every web template or frameset page on which we want to display an iview from SAP - surely there is a better method than this????
Thanks again for your assistance - I appreciate you taking the time to reply!

  • Difference between tax amount shown on VAT report and the invoice

    Dear Friends,
We observe that there is a difference of rounding off between the tax amount shown in the invoice and the one shown in the VAT report.
We have to manually adjust this tax amount since the Tax authorities do not accept any difference in the VAT report and the Invoice.
Please advise as what could be done to solve this issue.
    Rgds,
    Kunal Vichare.

    Hi Satya,
There are 2 things: Pricing Procedure and Tax Procedure.
Pricing Procedure tell system about the what and how the price to calculated for material in PO. In this pricing procedure the conditions NAVS / NAVM as pertainin to tax applicable on the PO price. These conditon display the tax. The tax is calculated based on tax procedure. Tax procedure acts as a master and there is one tax procedure for one country. For this tax procedure there are tax codes defined. Tax codes means using the same tax procedure but changing value of various conditions and omiting some if required.
Eg. TAXINN is tax procedure for India. Based in this procedure many tax codes are defined for 12% vat, 6% vat , no vat etc.
So what kind of tax will be applicable on the PO is governed by tax code which is mentioned in Invoice tab (tax code) its a 2 character code.
Based on this tax code taxes are calculated on PO net value and then the tax amount is displayed in pricing procedure by conditions NAVS / NAVM.
MWST is condition for Input tax. If you are using tax code then MWST is not to be used.
Tax code becomes useful while doing MIRO as there is an option of inserting tax code. So the tax on PO net value will be calculated automatically.

    Hi,

    Hi AP,
When generating the PCA report, the amount is 1,008.00 and it is correct because it is similar to the FI posting.  But when I drilldown to see the actual line items, the report is showing 1,008,000.00.  Thanks to advise.
