Audio repeating in HTML

Captivate 6, PowerPoint 2010, Windows 7, Audacity , output HTML
I put together a 30 slide PowerPoint. Imported to Captivate 6.  Imported and dragged and dropped audio files onto slides in Captivate.  Published in HTML.  When video played after 22 slides the audio restarted from the first slide.  This has happened in two other presentations.  I published in flash to check and no problems in this video.  What is causing this?  HELP!

There are 27 slides and 26 separate audio files.  The non audio slide is
slide 25.  Its always on the same slide, but changes slides with my new
attempt to publish.  I upload to MoodleRooms, our LMS via publish to
HTML as a zipped file.  I have previewed slide locally and have same
issue.  I just tried adding audio to non audio slide and published and
played locally. The restart happened after last slide this time.  I have
published same flies using flash without this problem.
Restarts same slide from same published file.
Problem oddors both locally and on LMS
We have PPT green light synch.
I copied to a blank project and the problem follows the project I copied.
Feels like an HTML5 publishing bug.....

  • Audio repeats towards end of track

    Windows 7 and CS4 Encore.
Original video file is .avi and loaded into PPro. The video is 14m31s long. Stero audio. Audio plays fine in PPro. Generated a FLV version of the video from PPro (Export media) via the media encoder. FLV plays audio ok. In PPro, dynamic link--->send to Encore. Encore comes up and new DVD project is started. The problem. Audio plays fine in Encore until the 12m58s point. From then on, the audio repeats the approximately last two seconds of audio before 12m58s over and over for the remainder of the video along with the valid video over this period. Does not make any difference if the video was rendered or not before dynamic linking "send to encore". I have been working on 8 other projects and have never seen this situarion. Any suggestions?

Workaround/test is to export from PR rather than dynamic link.
Any audio gap or other oddity in PR at that point?
AVI, yes, but what is in it? Codec, audio format, etc.
You are seeing the problem in EN preview, right? You can also try transcoding, then building, and see if the problem is present on disk.

  • Nested sequence: after a cut, audio repeats from previous clip

Summary: In a nested sequence situation, I'm getting short audio repeats from a clip element just prior to a cut.
    Context:
Premiere Pro CC, latest version at time of writing (7.0.1 (105), under Windows 7 (64-bit).
Structure: I have a sync-sequence (multicam source sequence) consisting of XDCAM-EX (file structure broadly along the lines of AVCHD) and Z1 (plain m2t files).  Derived from / dependent on that is a multicam edit sequence, where I cut between camera angles.  Then that sequence is itself nested in a master sequence (showing selected extracts of the performance).
For reference purposes: Multicam edit sequence consists (among other things) of a rock band's "big finish" followed by some applause.  I made a cut in the audio part (only) of the nested sequence clip, to enable the audio for the applause to be normalized independently of the band performance.  To smooth the join I added a crossfade transition over the cut.  Nicer in principle than using volume envelopes.
When I play the original recording or the multicam sync-sequence or the multicam edit-sequence, all looks and sounds fine.
    Problem:
When the Master sequence is played back (in preview or an exported/encoded clip) I hear the big finish, then applause starts, then after 2 seconds the "big finish" is heard once again, but at lower audio level.
This effect happens wherever I have used the same cut/normalize/crossfade technique in the (nested) multicam edit sequence.  I have also encountered it in previous projects in Premiere CS6.
If I delete the crossfade then the problem disappears...  Doesn't matter what type of audio crossfade is used.
Is this a known problem? and is there a quick workaround? (other than using envelopes instead or copying/patching the audio up to the master level)

Ah so  [Sequence > Render Audio] is not just a "luxury item" to get waveforms to display when nested or to (presumably) to lower CPU load (e.g. when audio effects have been applied).  It's something that I will need to always do from now on...   It's a shame there's a "feature" but great to know of the workaround.
    Thank you very much.

  • Streaming Audio repeats every 11.5 minutes????

when on the CBC Ideas streaming audio site, the stream repeats and layers over itself after 10-15 minutes.
    try it...
Im on a older computer on ubuntu 10.04 (768 megs ram)

Check to see if the problem is happening at the 99th slide. iDVD slideshows can hang up there. If so, reduce to 98.
I make my slideshows in iPhoto instead of iDVD, then File/Export to my desktop and drag the resulting Quicktime movie into the edge of the iDVD project's main window. You won't have the glitch at No. 99, if that's the problem.

  • Stop audio repeating

I've made an animation and put an MP3 audio to it.
Every time it repeats, however, the audio keeps playing to the end of the song, whilst starting over with the restarting animation. This means I have two audio tracks playing at once, and it sounds awful. How can I make the audio stop and restart when the animation does?

set your audio to stream, not event.

  • SWF audio repeating

Hi, Fairly new to Captivate but working on high visibility
project that needs to be completed yeterday. I have a number of
swfs with embedded audio per slide (up to three swfs on some
slides). It's for an animated character with lip synchs so that
audio is really better kept within the flash. In preview mode it's
fine, the swf and audio play in order, correctly. On publish, the
audio for each slide just loops over and over.
    Please help!

Yes, i had the same problem. I found out, that any sound of a
flash-swf animation repeats, while the animation is faded out in
    the captivate project timeline.
For this serious bug (!) do the following IN CAPTIVATE:
Open the animation properties dialogue by rhightclicking onto
the animation on the stage. Then open the Properties from dropdown.
There you find the audio-tab. Import your desired sound for the
animation. It will link to the animation and will only play
    once.

  • Video is too slow for audio, the file is .mp4, recorded it with my webcam using Toshiba Qosmio X75-A7170. Also sometimes audio repeats.

    Hello,
For some videos when i record with my webcam on my Toshiba Qosmio X75-A7170, and then place it in Premiere Pro the video seems behind the audio.
    Stats about my laptop:
    Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4700MQ CPU @ 2.40GHz
    RAM: 16gb
    System type: 64bit
    Memory Speed: 1600 mhz
    Hard Drive: 1000gb mechanical_hard_drive
    Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 770M
    Graphics RAM: 3072mb
Hard Drive Rotational Speed: 7200 rpm
So the video is behind and occasionally for some reason the audio will repeat or even start over from what sounds were happening in the beginning.
The file that gets saved from recording with my webcam is .mp4. I don't know what else to say but please halp.
The video file plays like normal when i use windows media player.
I am using Premiere Pro CC v8.1

Here is the media info application
When i clicked on go to the website it just took me to the download page for quicktime which i had downloaded but it didnt change anything to my knowledge.
And here is the gspot codec application

  • HELP- Video Sync Prob!!! Why is audio repeating like a never-ending delay?

Hello- I have a modest system: I am using Logic 7.0 on Mac OS 10.3.9,
M-Audio FireWire Solo Audio Interace, NO external sync device. I have just
tried importing a Movie as Float (Quicktime Movie: .mov) and I get this
HORRIBLE repetition of the audio from the video that WON'T stop! Also, ANY
audio that I actually have in the session as well follows this same
repetitive pattern. I have tried EVERYTHING: changing sample rate, frame
rate, (the video is 29.97), bit depth, unchecking 'contiguous sync'. It may
be of interest to note that the speed of the repetition changes when I change the Sample Rate, although this may be unrelated. The video's audio is Sample
Rate of 48k. It also is of interest that if I try and change the system from
Internal Sync Mode to MTC, changing whatever I can find in the Preferences
sections to MTC, I can play the video without the repetition, but only by
pressing play on the VIDEO screen. If I try to press play from the Space Bar
or any of the key commands, (0 or Enter for some users), or Play from the
Transport Window, the repetition occurs as well.... this TV Spot is due
yesterday so I need help NOW! What the **** is going on?!?!?!?! I was told I
don't need to rely on MTC, that I could just use Internal... but that doesn't seem to be right and I still get the above issues with MTC when I try to use it- HELP!!!!!!!

    Rohan,
Thank you for responding so quickly!
    1. are you using a dv firewire bridge to play back video?
NO- I tried that too- converting my .mov to a .dv and switching to the DV FireWire bridge. Still got the loop.
    2. what is the codec of the QT movie file? you can check this with QT by hitting apple-i.
I am not in a place where I can check this now, but I will ASAP.
    3. have you tried running logic with built-in audio and then running the video?
I take it by Built-In, you mean something different than the "Core Audio" I am running from now? If so, then no, I have not. I will try this if I can figure it out- thank you!
    4. are you running the sound playback of the video through the interface?
Yes- all sound playback is running through the audio interface. Otherwise I would have to take the Audio out from the headphone jack in the back of the G4 and send that straight to my speakers.
Thanks! I will send more info when I can get back to my studio!

  • Repeat HTML tag?

Is it possible to repeat an HTML tag with PHP or Spry or
something else? Basically, I want to repeat the <title> as a
    <h1> tag.

Yes - declare a variabel to contain the desired value. Then
    output into both
    the title and h1 tags.
$someVar = "My Site Is Cool"
    then later on...
    echo "<title>" . $someVar . "</title>;
    echo "<h1>" . $someVar . "</h1>;
Assuming I have understood what you are asking correctly.

  • How to create audio, video, and photo in a list view format

I'm creating a webstire entirely out of Flash using CS5 for a paranormal investigation group. In the past, using a Website Tonight template from GoDaddy had placed either an audio, video, or photograph with text above each item discusssing the content. Now, they would like this type of feature in the Flash website. I'm new to Flash, but seasoned in many other Adobe products ... not that this helps ... much!
Anyways, the website is looking great aside from this one set back, so I'm hoping someone out there can give me a helping hand. I'm willing to purchase a third-party template, but to incorporate that into our Flash file, seems daunting.
    AUDIO
We need to load an audio that can play, pause, rewind, loop, and stop at the very least.
Then have text describing the situation around the audio.
repeat ... and so forth ...
New audio will be added to this section every week or so, and all the components need to scroll as the screen fills up. When adding new audio, we would add the new audio and text to the top of the list, pushing the remaining audio files down.
    VIDEO
We need to load video footage with all the button features needed to play, stop, etc. I have found adding video quite easy, but to get the player to move with the text as the frame it is contained in scrolls down is another story. How do you do that?
Text describing the video contents will be above or next to the video player.
repeat ... and so forth ...
New video will be added to this section every week or so, and all the  components need to scroll as the screen fills up. When adding new video,  we would add the new video and text to the top of the list, pushing the  remaining video files down.
    PHOTOS
    ditto as others
    Thanks!!

As mentioned, building a custom application can be tricky, especially if you are not very familiar with Flash.
So you want a Web page with an audio player and selection list at the top (or where ever) and then a video player section, along with its playlist, and then at the bottom of the page you want a photo display area... Is that correct? and the scrolling you mentioned is because the page needs to be long enough to hold all 3 components? is that right?
Have you instead considered just using 3 different frames, one frame for each component and simple buttons to jump from audio to video to photos?
Or, skip the scrolling in Flash and let the html/css take care of the scrolling, just like any normal Web page. Just make the .swf as long as needed to display all your content.
Since you are new at this type of a project, I'd suggest you start small, take the project in steps... just build the audio player... then the video player... then your photo slide show..
Only after you have 3 working moduals would you but them together into one .fla
And yes, learn to use xml for ALL the data, audio, video, and photos.... very easy to update without having to re-publish any of the Flash.
Here is a good source for tutorials:
    http://www.gotoandlearn.com/index.php?currentpage=11
    Flash and xml
    http://www.gotoandlearn.com/index.php?currentpage=13
learn to use NetStream to play your videos, much more versatile and powerful than using the FLVPlayback component
But learning how to incorporate xml into your Flash project is very important in a project like this. And then broken down into 3 components, it's really not that tough to build a project like this.
    Best wishes,

  • Windows 7 x64 USB AUDIO DEVICE - Device Not Working - Mac Pro

I have a mac pro early 2009. I had vista x64 installed, everything was great. I had 2 audio devices under device manager, one was listed as HD (digital) and one device was listed as analog audio.
When I played games and wanted the external speakers (using the digital out connection) I had the HD (digital) audio device enabled.
When I played games and wanted to use a headphone/microphone combo, I had the analog audio device enabled.
Switching between the two was as easy as clicking the audio device icon and clicking on whichever device I wanted.
Now that I installed windows 7 x64, I have a HD (optical out) device in device manager and it works perfectly. Unfortunately, I also have another device listed called "USB Audio Device" and it shows a yellow exclamation mark next to it and it is NOT working properly.
I tried many suggestions on here, which included downloading the cirrus logic audio driver and picking different models, as well as trying the snow leopard install disk driver for cirrus logic, and even tried installing the realtek analog driver. The closest I got to getting anything to work was installing the realtek analog driver. It installed fine up to the point when windows said "this driver is not tested, do you wish to install it anyway?" and I click yes, but then it pauses for a few seconds and the same message comes up again and repeats in a endless loop until you say "no, do not install driver" and then it does a uninstall of the driver.
Has anyone else experienced this problem and if so were you able to fix it?
    Thanks

You can ignore USB audio, you want RealTek HD Audio. There are or can be some of those yellow alerts that are safe to ignore. Buried somewhere in Apple Support BootCamp technotes.
You can use installer from Realtek or zip file in which case just uncompress and update the driver from inside Device Manager. Nice thing, you can rollback a driver if you want to, or totally uninstall and then reinstall.

  • Transition and Audio Problem

Working in an MBP and iMovie 6.0.2
When I apply a transition like crossfade or ripple the video looks great but the audio is messed up. It's like it does not apply anything to the audio. So the video/audio plays then audio gets little lower then audio repeats itself during the transition time at full volume!
    Anybody know what that is?

Try this link, it addresses audio during transisitons. The only thing they leave out is to turn off the audio on the video track, that's were the pop and clicks are coming from. At least in my videos.

  • Satellite A100: audio stream recorder requires something called stereo mix

Trying to use an audio stream recorder/convertor program but it requires something called "stereo mix". The toshiba A100 does not appear to have this?? Help?
Tried downloading latest drivers from Tosh site for Realtek sound card but this has not made a difference.

Here's how to fix the problem.
    1. You need a new driver in order to control the input signal given by any hardware (CD) or virtual source (WinAmp, streaming radio etc.). The driver you need is called Virtual Audio Cable that's able to connect and loop back any audio signal between any devices on your computer. You can check it out in a demo version before you buy it (price $30). Get more information and download it here: http://nrcde.ru/music/software/eng/vac.html
    2. After instalation read and follow the "Simple cable usage" part of the manual very carefully and you're ready to record on your virtual recorder from any source you want. Please notice you have to have the "Audio repeater" open (and started) in order to hear the output on your computer speakers. If you have set up the Virtual Cable 1 to control your audio input, it should be chosen as Wave in in the Audio Repeater and Realtek HD Audio output should be chosen as Wave out. This is set automatically if you In control panel/sounds and devices/devices chose Virtual Cable 1 as standard device for record of sounds instead of Realtek HD Audio input and Realtek HD Audio output as standard device for playing sound.
    3. Virtual Audio Cable mix any audio input including the Windows sounds. Select no sounds in Control panel/Sound and devices/sounds if you don't want to mix Windows sounds with your recording.
    4. Advanced functions: You can manipulate and optimize the sound quality in the cable and audio repeater setup.
    That's all - have fun
    Sincerely Cornelius
PS. I have proved that my Satelite A100 can do the same as any other Windows computer with the Realtek driver instaled. It's the first time I have purchased third party software in order to get basic Windows sound functions to work.

  • Any luck with audio playback on the iPad?

A general question to everyone using the HTML5 converter.
I have yet to find the magic combination for consistent audio playback on the iPad. Sometimes it plays, sometimes it doesn't. Sometimes the audio will play on a slide, then after refreshing the page it doesn't play, even if I sit and wait for it.... Please trust that I've clicked the audio button to download it. & I've  compressed the crap out of the audio,  not to mention I've tested this with a short presentation and a larger presentation, object audio vs slide audio... Results are the same. The audio is fully converting, as it plays on my desktop via Safari.
Is anyone else experiencing similar audio issues?

I don't have any answers for the inconsistency of audio playback, but I am going to have someone much more versed in java take a look at it and maybe provide some insight. Really, I have no idea.
If your getting consistent audio playback the second time through, great. I wish that was happening for me. I am getting about half of my 19 slides to play audio, and never the first or second slide.
I was having the audio repeat on each slide, but I was able to control it somewhat by manipulating the code. One way is to make sure your timeline in each slide of your Captivate file ends when the audio ends, and any object that is pausing the slide pauses within the audio timeline...... but what I found was happening is that the "pause" for each click box I have on each slide that keeps the module from automatically advancing to the next had a frame reference that was outside the frame area of the audio file....in the converted code.
if you get to the part in the html code of the converted file where it lists each slide and it's objects, check the frame reference for the audio against any object that pauses the slide....(below in bold):
in my example, the audio plays from frame 1 to 356, and then the click box pauses at 355, before I edited it, it was pausing at 359 (1 frame before the end of slide 1), causing the audio to start playing again.
Everyone's project is different, but this worked for me, and I hope it gives you some direction.

  • Help No Audio In FME 2.5

I'm trying to stream to justin tv using a dazzle capture device, and i'm unable to get audio using Flash media encoder 2.5. I downloaded something called virtual cable, ran audio repeater ks but still dont get any sound. I tried to use FME 3.1 and 3.2 but when I open either of the two, they dissapear. I also get a error message in both 3.1 and 3.2- Assertion failed program file.\inpin.cpp line535 Expression Succeeded. So because of that I'm switched to FME 2.5., but I can't select a audio device, theres nothing there to select. Any help would be great thanks.

Better if you install latest FMLE version 3.2 from
    http://www.adobe.com/products/flashmediaserver/flashmediaencoder/
and then try Dazzle 100 DVC. if you are getting error on launch. Delete  "startup.xml" using these steps.
    1. In Window Explorer, type %appdata%
    2. Go to Adobe/Flash Media Live Enocder <version> and delete Startup.xmp
    3. Launch FMLE again.
