AUM not re-using expired UNDO extents

Hi there,
The space consumption in the UNDO tablespace is continuesly growing.
I've increased the size of the UNDO tablespace several times now (currently 400M) but this offers no permanent solution (datafiles are set in no autoextent mode).
It's possible to calculate the maximum size that you need for your UNDO tablespace using certain values from v$undostat and v$parameter.
According to this calculation our UNDO tablespace shouldn't be larger than 100M.
It looks like there is a problem with re-using expired UNDO extents, as indicated below (SUM(EXPBLKREUCNT) = 0 ):
SQL> select sum(EXPSTEALCNT), sum(EXPBLKRELCNT), sum(EXPBLKREUCNT) from v$undostat;
SUM(EXPSTEALCNT): 7
SUM(EXPBLKRELCNT): 1792

Bring up Control Center. Do that by swiping up on the home screen starting down just above the home button.
Rotation lock is on the bottom row, the second icon from the left (just to the right of the flashlight).
Click it to release it.

Steadily Increasing UNDO but "seems" no process using the UNDO.!

I've been reading some materials to solve this issue on our database (Oracle 11.2.0.3.0) . The problem is that we have been increasing UNDO from 35G to almost 60G now. and it is still increasing in usage. But I cannot detect any transaction using the undo. If you have any insights, that will be great. Below are the information I have gathered.
Datafiles are not autoextensible.

I cannot detect any transaction using the UNDO except for a MERGE statement that has been running for almost 3 weeks but it does not show up on the UNDO except for this Toad.exe. Could it be that there were some transactions not commited on the App side?

I found something. Below is the value of our tuned_undoretention ( too high which is 192 hrs or 8 days ).

Most of the space of the UNDO is consumed by the UNEXPIRED ( probably because of high tuned_undoretention? ). The ACTIVE are only 64MB.

I moved my iTunes library to my external hard drive some time ago and I followed the directions listed here on the apple support page. It did copy my library and now is on my hard drive... I can open iTunes and use it to sync all of my devices but I would like to play my music... I can see all of my music files but can not play them if I click on an album or song it says the following: "(file name) could not be used because the original file cannot be found. Would you like to locate it?" I click locate but do not know where to go from there? I need a way to access all files and not to hunt down one at a time on my hard drive... I am pretty sure I deleted the original library to make space on my internal drive which was the reason for moving it. I have tried and tried to fix it and do not have a lot of time to do so with a one and two year old at my house who do not like it whenI sit down at my computer. What to do??? Any help is much appreciated!!!

See Make a split library portable. Move all of the bits of the library together in the the correct shape and it should work. Or undo exactly what you did and then start over.
If you're a former Windows user don't try merging two folders together that have the same name by dropping one into the same folders as the other, as that goes badly on a Mac.

Adobe acknowledges problem with the latest Snow Leopard update 10.6.8 and with this work around, I can open PDF's using the Google Chrome Browser.
Is this the ideal solution---NO. Safari is my main browser. I now have to use a separate browser for PDF's.

How do you configure the test control?
Please make sure you are specify the team collection instead of team project.
On the other hand, you may enable test controller logs. (You could share the log file on the OneDrive)

ORA-01409 NOSORT option may not be used

Hi all,
We've got a range partitioned table, each partition resides in a different tablespace (locally managed) thus :
create tablespace abcblast_hit_test_data1
datafile '/export/data/oracle/HLDDEV05/abcblast_hit_test_data1.dbf'
size 2600m extent management local uniform size 2500m;
create tablespace abcblast_hit_test_data2
datafile '/export/data/oracle/HLDDEV05/abcblast_hit_test_data2.dbf'
size 2600m extent management local uniform size 2500m;
Two large SORTED files of data are sql*loaded into each partition, taking up ONE extent in each partition
I then try to create a non-unique index on the table using NOSORT and get the error ORA-01409 NOSORT option may not be used; rows are not in ascending order
... with the following reasoning :
For non-unique indexes the ROWID is considered part of the index key. This means that two rows that appear to be stored in ascending order may not be. If you create an index NOSORT, and two of the rows in the table have the same index values, but get split across two extents, the data block address of the first block in the second extent can be less than the data block address of the last block in the first extent. If these addresses are not in ascending order, the ROWIDs are not either. Since these ROWIDs are considered part of the index key, the index key is not in ascending order, and the create index NOSORT fails.
BUT the data for each partition DOES reside in one extent :

I am pretty sure that the runtime file is not appropriate because in many case this error comes when wrong runtime file is used.
The correct runtime file is [this|http://resources.businessobjects.com/support/additional_downloads/runtime.asp#06].
Download the one according to the service pack.

Imac shuts down when not in use

I purchased my 21.5" imac July 9, 2011 with Snow Leopard. No problems for 1 month. Then about August 12th or so, my imac started to mysteriously "shut down" when not in use. I'll be working on it, then get up to go pour myself a cup of coffee or something...then I come back to my computer that has now shut off. It is NOT asleep...it is OFF. So I turn it back on and it is fine. This has happened a few times now within a week. Anyone else have this problem?
By the way, I am now running Lyon, as of August 18th. When the imac shut down, I was usually viewing photos or on the web.

First thing I would try is to reset the SMC, it can help with power related problems. Shut down the Mac and unplug everything including the power. Press and hold down the power button for 10 seconds. Plug in the computer but be careful not to press the power button as you are plugging it in. Wait a few seconds and turn it on. Hopefully it won't happen again. There is always Apple Support. Don't let the problem persist until your free phone tech support has expired (3 months). I would also recommend using the iMac with an UPS, and at the very least, a high quality surge protector.
If you have MS Word or a similar word processor you could try enabling the autosave feature and set it to 1 minute intervals. Keep a document open and if you come back to the computer and it has shut down, you can look at the last time the document was updated and know what time the comptuer turned itself off. It could be useful in diagnosing the problem.

Cannot save files or use the undo function in InDesign CC

As of this morning, I am not able to save files or use the Undo function in InDesign CC. Tried many fixes but nothing has worked. I have a ton of work to get done today -- any solutions for this???

Im viewing this thread because its just happened to me again... my solution is below.
Im currently running the latest version of indesign cc (9.2.1) on my brand new 13" macbook pro. (OSX 10.9.4)
As noted earlier in this thread, when this happens, before you give up and close in frustration, EXPORT the file as IDML, and your all good!
Ive had this issue on several occasions using Indesign CC since October. Here are my 2 'Usual Suspects' when this occurs:
1. culprit: SUITCASE FUSION 5 – deactivate 'auto activation' from within Indesign Prefs. In some cases, i didn't even restart Indesign (much less my computer) for this to work.
(menu: INDESIGN/PREFERENCES/ SUITCASE FUSION 5 AUTO ACTIVATION PREFS (bottom of submenu list) Uncheck the top box, 'Auto Activate....')
Im assuming this was rechecked to auto-activate after an update. Hasn't happened in a while—but sure enough, the auto-activate box was checked again.
Its a pain having to manually-activate fonts, but its alot easier than redoing a bunch of work!
2. culprit: CRASH PLAN (online backup)– actually, ive seen this happen with a couple of backup programs. I don't know that this is for sure an issue, but it did resolve the saving issue earlier this year. I just pause backup for a few hours, then resume. Seems to be ok.
Steps i took:
Quit Indesign CC (AFTER EXPORTING the file as IDML!)
Pause backup within CrashPlan.
Restart Indesign CC.

Do I need to erase the entire library and re load it, have over 200,000 songs?

If it is just the one track, you need to re-link the file which iTunes needs to play when you select that track listing in iTunes. Do this by saying "yes" when it asks you and then go to the file it should play.
If it is doing this for many files then something has happened to cause a bunch of links to break. Often it is something the user has done such as messing directly with the contents of the iTunes folder. If that's the case, try undoing what you did. if it is the case but not the cause then you will have to be a lot more detailed in posting about your setup and exactly what is happening.

Cannot use the undo function

I just loaded Final Cut Pro onto a new computer and I cannot use the undo/redo function keys. Is there a problem with the software or do I have a setting set incorrectly.
When I go under edit, both undo and redo are grey so I cannot use. I also cannot use the short cut key.

Undo/Redo is command and Z. Are you using a different keyboard layout than US English?
You can set the number of undos from the menu bar: Final Cut Pro > User Preferences > General.
This functionality is dependent on how much RAM is installed in your computer - setting a higher number of steps backwards will use more. How much do you have installed?
Undo/Redo is only available after you have done something to the media in FCP. It is not saved in your project file. Closing a FCP project will lose any saved undo steps, although you can still use one of the Auto-saves of your project file to go back.

Looks like you had an auto-top up agreement for your Skype credit which used the expired credit card's payment information. Also please check the date of the email you received from Skype as we shouldn't have sent you one recently, but instead a few months ago. Can you confirm?
