AUR/Yaourt says "Continue building of $PKG?" etc, instead of its name
I don't know what I changed or if I accidentally uninstalled some unknown dependency but now I'm getting lines that say:
Continue the building of $PKG? [Y/n]
Continue installing $PKG? [Y/n]
Checking vote status for $_pkg
Do you want to vote for $_pkg inclusion/keeping in [community]? [Y/n]
I don't understand what happened because earlier it was saying the actual package name, like "Continue the building of sdcv?", sdcv being a package from the AUR. Anybody have any ideas with this, I mean, it's not a major dilemma but it's rather irritating. I foresee myself installing something that compiles for 5 minutes and then forget what I was installing and have to scroll up when it prompts me with "Continue installing $PKG?", lol.
Ok, I have:
1. Completely removed (-Rsn) Yaourt, cleaned cache, updated ABS (just in case, I dunno!)
2. Completely removed aurvote, customizepkg, pacman-color, colordiff and did same as above (just in case..)
3. sudo updatedb, searched for anything with the words from the packages above, found nothing except in /var
4. Looked in pacman.conf for anything out of ordinary; yielding nothing except defaults and user repos.
5. Reinstalled xorg core, cleaned cache, updated ABS
6. Reinstalled wget > pacman > Yaourt > aurvote > customizepkg > pacman-color > colordiff. Then 'sudo updatedb', update ABS (lol)
7. End up with same results as before: $PKG, $_pkg instead of package name. Very confusing and irritating, now.
This is bothersome as it becomes hard to keep track of what I'm installing especially when a package has a bunch of dependencies. So, I'm at a loss and am going to have to install another AUR Helper, I think.
EDITx2: Installed aurshell and it seems to work about as good as Yaourt. Maybe this was a blessing in disguise for me. Still curious as to why Yaourt messed up though.

[SOLVED]yaourt wants to build dependencies from AUR
Hi,
I've installed kdemod4... the only problem is that yaourt wants ti install all the dependences of the package(s) i've choose from aur, altough dependencies are present in extra (correct version). How can i solve this??
An example is:
cairo-lcd: i have to build all the dependencies from aur, like libpng, etc; but i see from PKGBUILD that the version that needs cairo-lcd is present in extra repository...
thanks in advance
Last edited by chesterfork (2009-07-13 10:07:26)..i'm running kdemod 4 x86_64...so if i try install everything using yaourt the dependencies are shown in this way:
==> lib32-cairo-lcd dependencies:
- lib32-gcc-libs (building from AUR)
- lib32-libpng (building from AUR)
- lib32-libxrender (building from AUR)
- lib32-fontconfig (building from AUR)
- lib32-pixman (building from AUR)
- lib32-xcb-util (building from AUR)
if it could help i found this:
chesterfork ~ $ yaourt -S lib32-cairo
lib32-cairo not found on AUR
Packages that were installed as dependencies but are no longer required by any installed package:
error:
what about the error? it's a blank line.... i checked yaourtrc in /etc but it seems ok..
It's happen even if i have these packages installed (and checking in pkg build they have are the same version). EVERYTIME yaourt shows that; cairo, cairo-lcd, bin32-skype-lib32-cairo-lcd....eveything i tried it needs dependencies from aur ONLY. That's the problem....there is a solution?? -
Internal Checkout Error using Xcode Continuous Build Service
I'm trying to use the new Xcode service in Mavericks' Server Version 3 to setup continuous build for a git repository on BitBucket. I've been unable to get it to work successfully. Currently, The Build Agent Logs section shows the following error:

Does anyone know what this error means or how to get more information about what's going wrong?
Perhaps relevant: under the Source Control Logs section, it looks like the checkout worked fine:

The SSH lines seem to be informational rather than indicating an error. However, I've tried changing the mentioned keys without any effect, though note that Xcode says that TrustSelfSignedSSLCertificates is enabled on one line and disabled on a later line, referring to the same config file in both cases.I just had the same problem, and there is a number of things you can check:
Make sure the specified branch is pushed to the repository
Make sure the scheme you selected is shared
Make sure the scheme info is pushed to the repository
In my case, someone put `xcshareddata` in .gitignore, so the scheme I selected wasn't available to the bot.
Hope this helps someone. -
I recently got the new iPhone 5c I used icloud to back everything up from my 4s to my new 5c. Now, I keep getting a pop up that says Continue Restoring? (This iPhone has not been backed uprecently because it has not finished being restored. Would you like to finish downloading any remaining purchases and media before backing up, or delete them along with any app date?)
I seleted to finish downloading because I didn't want to lose anything. It still will not finish downloading and I have tried this several times.
What do I need to do to that I can get my iphone to back up and so that I can install the new iOS?Hello there, Brandifoote24.
The following Knowledge Base article offers up an explanation of what you're error signifies:
iCloud: Understanding Backup alert messages
http://support.apple.com/kb/TS4576
"This iPhone has not been backed up recently because it has not finished being restored. Would you like to finish downloading any remaining purchases and media before backing up, or delete them along with any app data?"
This message is displayed if your iOS device has been trying to complete a restore for more than three days. This can occur if your restore has been interrupted due to network connectivity issues or some other problem occurs.
Being that this is the case, you would want to go back to the article it seems you were referred to us from and try to restore from your icloud backup again:
iCloud: Troubleshooting restoring an iCloud backup
http://support.apple.com/kb/TS4036
How do I restore an iCloud backup if my device is already set up for use?
You'll need to erase all data and settings from your device, so first confirm that you have an iCloud backup to restore:
Go to Settings > iCloud > Storage & Backup > Manage Storage, then tap the name of your device to view a list of iCloud backups.
Check the date of the backup you want to restore, because you'll be restoring only what iCloud backed up on that date.
After confirming that an iCloud backup is available, follow these steps:
Connect your device to a power source and make sure that it is connected to the Internet via Wi-Fi.
Follow the instructions for restoring your iOS device from an iCloud backup, which include making sure that your device is using the latest version of iOS.
If the issue persists, then I would troubleshoot Wi-Fi using the following article:
iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections
http://support.apple.com/kb/ts1398
Thanks for reaching out to Apple Support Communities.
Cheers,

Hello! I have in my home 2 iMac, 2 iPad, 2 iPhone, and 1 air base extreme. I don't succeed to connect more than one divice from similar type. I tried everything what I knew. I build another network, etc...
So only one imac, only one ipad..and so on simultain.
More over, all the divices are conect through wifi to air base but are not receiveing internet as i told above.
I need to disconnect one device to have internet on the second one from the same type!
Could somebody help me?
Many Thnaks,
danIf your network configuration is:
Cable modem > (Ethernet cable) > [WAN] AEBS > (wireless) > Macs, then
AirPort Extreme Base Station Setup (AEBS) w/High-Speed Cable Modem
Modem/Router Power ReCycling
- Power-off the Cable modem, AEBS, & computer(s). (If possible, leave the modem off overnight.)
- Power-on the Cable modem; Wait at least 30 minutes.
- Power-on the AEBS; Wait at least 5 minutes.
- Power-on the computer(s)
Perform a "hard" reset of the AEBS.
- (ref: http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=107451)
Setup the AEBS
With the network components powered down, set up the AEBS, using the AirPort Admin Utility, connect your computer directly (using an Ethernet cable) to the LAN port of the AEBS, and then, try these settings:
AirPort tab
- Base Station Name: <whatever you wish or use the default>
- AirPort Network Name: <whatever you wish or use the default>
- Create a closed network (unchecked)
- Wireless Security: Not enabled
- Channel: Automatic
- Mode: 802.11b/g Compatible
Internet tab
- Connect Using: Ethernet
- Configure: Using DHCP
- WAN Ethernet Port: Automatic
Network tab
- Distribute IP addresses (checked)
- Share a single IP address (using DHCP & NAT) (enabled)
Once you verified that you can get Internet access for all of your computers, you should secure your wireless network. To do so, I suggest that you make these changes:
AirPort tab (optional)
- Create a closed network (checked)
Change Wireless Security
- Wireless Security: WPA Personal
Base Station Options - WAN Ethernet Port
- Enable SNMP Access (unchecked)
- Enable Remote Configuration (unchecked)
- Enable Remote Printer Access (unchecked)
Wireless Options
- Transmitter Power: 10%
Access Control tab (optional)
- + <add the computer(s) that will access this wireless network> -
I keep getting an alert that says this build is for employees only
I keep getting an alert that says "this build is for employees only" when i try to log on to Facebook
That would be an issue with the facebook app.
Have you checked to see if an update is available? -
I keep getting an alert saying this build is for empoyee only comes when I try to go on line
everynow and then I get an alert pop up on my iphone 3gs started last thursday alerts says This build is for Employees only don't know why it has happened just want to stop it from happening any help would be great
There are numerous reports on the net that this is caused by a recent update to the Facebook app. If so, I am sure an update will be released soon. Example:

How do I reinstall iWeb 3.0.3? I inadvertently opened an html file of my website and tried to open it with iWeb '09. I get a message saying “Can’t open file” etc., etc. I’ve tried reinstalling the updated version. Iweb will not open.
Delete the iWeb preference file, com.apple.iWeb.plist, that resides in your Home/Library/Preferences folder. Then launch iWeb and see if it opens.
What happened was trying to open the html file reset the file path that iWeb saves in its preference file to tell it where to go when you launch iWeb. Deleting the pref file and launching iWeb creates a new file and iWeb looks in your Users/Home/Library/Application Support/iWeb folder for the Domain.sites2 file it uses to create your site.

Cross Farm Continuous build and deployment practice
Hi All,
What is the best practice to move the wsp deployments and content deployment from dev server to test server
and then test server to production?
powershell commands is one of the solution , but for continuous build and deployment is their any better practice?
Is there any tool which keeps track of the deployments (similar to cruise control for build)
Thanks and Regards,
Swati

Hi,
I am having a problem getting OAuth to work from Exchange 2013 to Lync 2013.
I have read and following the instructions online and cannot see what I am doing wrong.
On the Exchange 2013 server, I get the following error when I run:

All my certificates on the Exchange 2013 and Lync 2013 servers are from my local CA.
I use APP with the public certificates as my reverse proxy for people connecting from outside the network.
In Lync, the OAuthTokenIssuer certificate created through the Lync deployment wizard is issued to domainname.local (my primary sip domain) and the Subject Alternative names include domainname.co.uk
I then exported this certificate to the Exchange Server and use the Set-AuthConfig to use this certificate for OAuth.
from what I read this was what I was supposed to do.
is this correct?
I have tried so many things I don't know what do to next.
Should the OAuth certificate in exchange be the one exported from Lync?
In Lync, should the OAuthTokenIssuer certificate include the servername or lyncserver.domainname.local or just be domainname.local like it is at the moment?
thank-you
jackThomas,
thanks for giving this the time. I have run the Configure-EnterpriseApplication.ps1 script following by remove-PartnerApplication so many times that I was wondering if there are other setting that
Configure-EnterpriseApplication.ps1 creates that aer not removed when you run
remove-PartnerApplication.
is there a way to completely remove everything that is confirmed when you run
Configure-EnterpriseApplication.ps1 so I can run Configure-EnterpriseApplication.ps1 without there being any configurations left from when I previously run that command?
thanks
jack

Can i tell Yaourt to just build packages?
I'd like yaourt to just build my packages, but not install them and i'd like this to happens without user interaction.
Is this possible?
Thanks. What I do in my build automation script is essentially:
cd ~/builds && yaourt -G $packagename && cd $packagename && sudo $makechrootpkghelper
The problem with trying to automate things with makepkg or a makepkg wrapper, is that to install the needed dependencies, you need root permissions, but you shouldn't run makepkg as root, as the PKGBUILD may be malicious. The helperscripts in devtools build packages in clean chroots, so you don't need to worry about fecking up your install, just give your build user NOPASSWD sudo access for that command.
My script still has problems with pkgbase PKGBUILDs, though that's more due to my laziness than anything, yaourt has logic to get around it, so it must be possible. -
I have a 27" iMac mid 2011 2.7 GHz intel core i5 with OS 10.10.1. For about the last month when I shut down I get a window that says "Continue the installation Choose abort if you wish to cancel the installation ABORT YES". If I don't press anything or if I choose ABORT or Yes the message goes away and the computer shuts down. But the next time I use the computer and then shut down the message is back. I have looked to see if there are any downloads pending or if there are any updates trying to download. I am very puzzled.
Genieo Adware is installed. Removing it will help.
If you have another browser installed, use it.
If not, launch App store and get another browser for temporary use.
Remove it afterwards.
1. Use free AdwareMedic by clicking “Download ” from here
http://www.adwaremedic.com/index.php
Install , open, and run it by clicking “Scan for Adware” button to remove adware.
Once done, quit AdwareMedic by clicking AdwareMedic in the menu bar and selecting
“Quit AdwareMedic”.
or
Remove the adware manually by following the “HowTo” from Apple.
http://support.apple.com/en-us/HT203987
2. Safari > Preferences > Extensions
Turn those off and relaunch Safari to test .
Turn those on one by one and test. -
Signing my application in a Continuous build/integration system
I have a Mac OS X app and I recently obtained a digital certificate (Developer ID Application) to sign this app. I have the following questions about signing this app -
Can I specify a particular certificate as an input to codesign so that it is not installed in keychain? So that in my environment (Continuous build/integration system), any available Mac could be used to sign my app?
If not, then can I install/uninstall a certificate in keychain on a machine on the fly?
Thanks! You will probably get a faster answer in the developer forum.
