Auto User Creation on Hire, and Auto User End Dating on Termination
Hi Everyone,
We are using HR and OTL in an environment with very high employee turn over. Currently we need to create a user and assign an OTL responsibility so that employee timecards approve in OTL. At the moment, we do it manually (ie HR ask the sysadmin to create a user and add the resp).
Does anyone have any suggestions on how we might automate this? Ie when an employee is created in HR, a user is created and the OTL responsibility is added. Additionally, how can we have the user and resp end-dated when the employee is terminated?

ThanksIt is not possible to create a new iCloud account using a Windows machine. You must create the account using a Mac (10.7.5 or more) or an IOS device (iPhone etc). Once that is done you can sign into and use the account on your Windows machine.

What is the end date you want to enter as. Are you talking about 31-Dec-4712. If not, please change the sytem effective date (calendar icon on the oracle menu) to the date you want to terminate and follow the termination process.

Auto config is getting failed and apps user is getting locked while running autoconfig on dbTier

Multiple user creation in R12 and migration of users
I would like to know how we can automate a process of user creation in R12, or is there a way to create multiple users in Ebiz with respective responsibilities.
Second case is, migration of users from one instance to another. The problem out here is selective users not all?
RegardsPl search the forums for FND_USER package - you will find several hits that show how this package can be used in a programmatic fashion to bulk create new users and assign responsibilities. Examples are also available on My Oracle Support.
To migrate user, use FNDLOAD. See this doc - you will also find hits in these forums if you search.

Create a user through the API and "Prompt user to change password after next login".
Using the Adobe Connect Interface, I can create a user and check the checkbox to "Prompt user to change password after next login".
Can I achieve the same result using the API? The principal-update action doesn't offer such an option and, as far as I can tell, there isn't another action to do so either.

Auto delivery creation without settings!!
Dear SD wizards,
At my place the sales order - delivery settings are NOT for automatic delivery creation. However, in
some cases, the delivery is getting created automatically in the background and can bee senn in the doc flow.
Have done some introspection in these 'some' cases and found that they pertain to a few of our sales ofifces / storage locations and probably with some of our users not ALL the users.
Would there be any settings for auto delivery creation based on storage locations / user access?
Do advise how to go about resolving this unnecessary 'deliveries'!

Thanks for the response but thats not the case. I had earlier checked the order settings and not found the "create delivery immediately" settings for the said order. However, on your advise I again went in there to find the 'tick' you said but I don't find any 'checkbox' to enter a tick, but the same drop down in the section 'Shipping' box named "Imediate delivery". the entry is blank in there, thereby signifying no automatic delivery is configured.
Moreover, Do recall my initial point that it is for SOME of the cases only for which this is happening, doc type is common for all. What I have found is the storage location / sales office / userid as the main differentiating factors, till now.
Any pointers anybody...??

New user creation in AE- user group not getting assigned
Hi All,
Here is a typical case, wherein when we create a new user with AE for the production system, the user gets created and the roles are also assigned but the user group is not getting assigned. The user group is being fetched from a table from the backend and all that is working fine. Infact in order to test the configurations we even created a new user in the production instance of AE giving the development system as the target system for user creation and in this case the user was successfully created and the user group is also assigned. The problem is arising only when the target system is production system.
Connectors are all working fine, but we are unable to think of a reason. Can somebody help us on this?Hi Vani,
If you are provisioning the user group using user defaults, check that production system is selected in the user defaults configured. Configuration -> user defaults. You can define any user default system, but for perticuticular user defaults that is applicable define all the systems, in which you want user defaults to be provisioned.

Using Shared Review via Network Folder on Windows server and PC and Mac users commenting
We are having initiation and connection problems on the Macs (running OS 10.6.4 Snow Leopard) with Shared Reviews (from Acrobat 9) that are stored on a Windows 2008 Server connecting via SMB. I would be very interested to hear from anyone who is successfully:
1) Initiating Shared Reviews from a Macintosh via "Automatically collect comments on my own internal server" and navigating to a folder (with full read/write permissions for all) on a Windows server. We cannot get Acrobat (via the automated SR set-up wizard) to verify the network folder location on the Macs so that a Mac user can initiate a Shared Review. On Windows (using Parallels or logging in to a PC directly), the same users have no problem initiating and accessing Shared Reviews.
2) Accessing Shared Reviews on a network folder (set up on a Windows 2008 server) via a Mac running OSX 10.6.4 and Acrobat 9. All users have read/write access to the folder and can navigate to it via the server. They can save documents to the network folder and open other documents there as well. When they open a Shared Review-enabled PDF for commenting, they get the error message that Acrobat cannot connect to the server. Retry results in the same error message.
We use Shared Reviews extensively and have no problems with PC users accessing the files and Mac users accessing them via Windows (Parallels or on a PC). This is very frustrating so I would really appreciate any ideas, especially if anyone is actually doing Shared Reviews this way.

1) I am still unable to connect to the network folder on a Windows server from the Mac to initiate a Shared Review In Acrobat version 9.4.6. Same error message as previous Unable to locate server. See screenshot:
2) One of the Mac users (also upgraded to Acrobat 9.4.6) who was invited to participate in a Shared Review (initiated using Parallels/Windows) was initially able to open the file and Publish comments. However, after she did and closed the file, she was unable to reopen the same file, connect to the server and add comments. And no other Mac user could access the file after she added her first comments. We all got the error message "Unable to connect etc" See screenshot.
3) I opened the same file in Parallels/Windows with no problem. However, the Mac user's comments were not there. I could add comments and publish in Windows.
4) When I tried to access the Tracker from my Mac (review was initiated via Parallels), I got the error message File not Found when I tried to access the test review via my Mac (see screenshot).
Could you give me more information about the fix? I would also be happy to talk to you or send more details if that would help.
Our set up has not changed from the original information I sent (there may have been some Mac updates -- we are all on OS 10.6.8 but still Snow Leopard). Server has not changed. -
Stored Procedure to Get Admin Users and Other Users

I am new to stored procedures in Oracle and would really appreciate the help! I have two tables:
Users_
ID USERNAME - PARENT_GROUP - IS_ADMIN

Groups*
ID - GROUPNAME
1 - ITUsers
2 - AcctUsers
I would like to create a procedure that accepts a users username and returns every user in their group and the user id, or if the user is marked IS_ADMIN, I want the procedure to return all users in all groups.
How would I do this? Ideally I would like to funnel the result into a DataGridView in C#.

We are porting a java web application to WAS. The custom login module of the application uses its own DB to lookup usernames and passwords etc.
a) Do we have to duplicate all of the user information into the UME User Store?
b) As an alternative, can we create a New User Store which would use the applications DB?
c) What are the implications apart from creating a UserContextSpi and GroupContextSpi implementations? For example, should the New User Store be the ONLY active User Store?
d) Does this mean that the SAP users like Administrator etc. should be added to the applications DB?

Check the bootstrap logs and .out and .boo files in work dir.
Try to restart the Java and observe carefully at what stage the java is failing like during sync of database or boostrap or during the starting the j2ee.
Check the properites files of the stage where it's failing check whether config tool have the correct information regarding j2ee_admin in securestore.
Check whether j2ee_admin user is not locked and SAPJSF user should be fine.
Check the SMICM and j2ee ports .

For "Automatic TO creation (background processing)", the following user exits are available:
MWMTOAU1 Selection of requirements for automatic creation of orders.
MWMTOAU2 Reference number assignment.
MWMTOAU3 Selection of posting change notices for automatic creation of transfer orders.

My guess is, that the MWMTOAU1 user exit is the one you are looking for.
The SAP documentation says:
"With this user exit, you can select transfer requirements for the
automatic TO creation according to your own criteria by means of report

Calling all Orange N70 users ... help testing auto...
Anyone reading some of my posts will know that I currently have a problem with the Orange auto time update ... namely it doesn't work on my Nokia N70.
Now I have "spoken" with another Orange N70 user via these forums and he has successfully tested it and can confirm it works for him - and we are both on the same network and running the same firmware. Yet I have confirmed with Orange Technical that they do not support auto time update on the Nokia N70. I've tested this both @ home and @ work and auto time update doesn't appear to work in both locations.
There are three options :
1) I'm lying
2) The other forum user is lying
3) Orange support for auto time update depends on which cell you are located in.
Now I know 1 and 2 aren't plausible .. but I'd appreciate your help testing whether number 3 is.
I will not provide instructions on how to do this, as I don't want to be responsible for a sudden influx of calls to Orange relating to problems setting your time (!), but if you are a confident and competent phone user and know how to test/set the auto time update functionality on your phone I'd appreciate it if you could test whether it works for you and whereabouts in the UK you are located. I'm located in West London.

MindaugasIn the delivery you can use userexit USEREXIT_SAVE_DOCUMENT_PREPARE to make your checks and send an error message to the user in case they fail.
You can find this user exit (form routine) in include MV50AFZ1.
