Autofill Form

I'm trying to fill out the form fields in an applet running in a browser from an independent external application. I have no control over the Applet as it is part of a separate application. I've tried screen hopping with the Robot API but this depends on the FIrst input box having keyboard focus when the external. I'd appreciate ideas on how this can be done without screen hopping. Also, how can i make sure the first form element always has keyboard focus.

Autofill form addon is missing page information to fill profile data

to use autofill form add on you must enter data after selecting the simple icon. I selected the simple icon and no fields are available to fill out your personal data. I am using firefox 3.6.13 on my PC using window 7 Home premium. It was working up until a few days ago.

Unfortunately, templates don't work with Reader either, unless the document is Reader-enabled with LiveCycle Reader Extensions.

Is there autofill forms for firefox ver 13? I cant get the download to install

I am using firefox ver 13, and I can download autofill forms but it wont install just hangs. Is there a way round this?

How do I access the Autofill form?

Hi, I was at a website to buy some parts and the autofill form dropped down when filling in the purchase information. I updated the form but then removed the list of check marks and closed the form. I realized I should of left some of the check marks but now cannot access the form. I went to the "Edit" function on Safari and the drop down menu shows the "Autofill form" but it is gray shaded (no access) instead of black (access). Anyone able to tell me how to access and update the autofill form?
I'm running the latest OSX 10.9.5 on a MacBook Pro.

I would guess that is a website issue; some sites do not allow a return to certain pages and you need to start over.

Acrobat/IE restart repeatedly when opening Autofill forms from web

I had previously posted this problem in the Acrobat forum but it was suggested the problem may lie with LiveCycle Forms. Here is the problem:
I am having a problem with a users Acrobat and IE continuously restarting when attempting to open an autofill form (aka a form that gets filled in automatically with info from a database) from the web. This is a corporate network so I suspect it may be a policy or firewall issue but not sure. I have checked all my Dom policies and can not find anything that would cause this problem. I am not sure if this will occur if the content being used to fill the form is blocked at the firewall. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

So I assume that the data to prefill your form is retrieved at the server level before the form is opened then you merge that data onto the template at rendering ...right?
If so can you write the data to a data file and try importing the data file to see if the same thing happens.

Reader X, Windows 7, autofill forms wrong

Reader X, Windows 7, autofill forms wrong
I often use pre made forms at work in Reader X. I have auto complete turned on to basic and save numerical is checked, though I rarely use the same numbers.
I think this started with the an update of Reader a few months ago, but when I am typing in numbers in forms sometimes it will not take what I typed, it overrides it with a previously used item. Sometimes I am trying to enter say, 1214, it will start autofilling other numbers after I type the 2 and if I just keep tying it still takes the autofill number even if I ignore it. The only way to get the correct number is to let it auto fill then go back and correct it and delete the ending characters that it filled in.
I did not create the forms I'm using, they are provided by my state and I cannot modify them.
I searched the web and the forums here and didn't find anything.

I am having the same problem but I don't think it has anything to do with the permissions or account information. This just started out of nowhere a few weeks ago. I tried installing a few older versions of adobe but I either get the same message, "An internal error occurred." or a different error message. I have attached a screenshot of the error message I keep getting. I also tried running the repair options via the control panel but that did not work. I can't change any settings within the program as each time I try to open it I immediately get the error message. I have uninstalled and installed adobe several times and there is no change.

On the Interface tab select the subtab for the keyboard shortcuts
but no help is given on how to find the Autofill Forms's settings page

Looks like a problem with show for that is only specified for Firefox 3.5 for that section.

Autofill Form making inappropriate entry into Company fields?

DL's Autofill Forms addon into FF7 on Windows 7. It appears to be working fine except for one aberrant entry. Although I do not have any entries into the "Company" field profile, and I have disabled that field, when filling in a form, my full name appears in the "Company" field.

I'm not sure if Firefox is saving the URL of the page where you enter form data, but merely saves the name (id) of a field and if the same input field name appears on another web page then that data may get offered as a fill suggestion. If a web site uses a common name then you may get that problem.

Since upgrading to Firefox 6, I can't use my autofill forms. It now has my name and address but doesn't have credit card or password information that it had before and I don't know how to input it or import it from former versions of Firefox.

I just upgraded to Firefox 5. Before when I filled in a form, I just had to click autofill and all my information was provided. I found autofill on customize toolbars and added it, but it only had my name and address, not my credit cards or passwords. Before I could click on them and change them if I needed to. I would like to input them on this version or import them from the last one so I can easily fill forms online, but I can't see how to do it.

Autofill form with database data

I'm trying to create a form that when the page loads, will
          automatically fill with data according to the parameters specified in
          the url. I then want to be able to change fields within the form, and
          submit it, saving the changes to the database.

          but is there a way (non-JavaScript) to autofill the form with the
          pertinent data?


You can connect the form to the DB using anODBC connection. This functionality comes as part of Acrobat but the form must be Reader Extended by the full LiveCycle Server version of Reader Extension to allow this in Reader. In your case, if your system is the only on ethat will interact with the DB then this might be a viable solution (but you woudl have to use Acrobat). This solution woudl involve create an ODBC connection in your system then configuring the form to make use of that connection.
Does that make sense?

Is it possible to recover autofill forms that has been removed

I accidentally clicked remove all (instead of remove 1) in the autofill preference.
Now I have many sites that I can't remember the passwords.
Is it possible to recover web form passwords that has been removed from autofill?

Open Keychain Access /Applications/Utilities
Select Passwords on the left.
Use the search field top right corner of the Keychain Access window to find web site addresses
If you want Safari to "remember" a new password for a site, first make sure User names and passwords is selected in Safari / Preferences - Autofill.
Navigate to a site. Enter the user name and password. When prompted, click Yes. That will create a new keychain for that site for you.

Autologin / autofill forms

Does anyone have any insight on whether it would be possible
to include "autologin / autofill" capabilities within an AIR
application?
For example, if I was to give a user the ability to open 5
unrelated websites within an AIR app using the HTML component - all
of which required a login/password - would it be possible to
automate the login process using AIR? So that the user would
seemlessly and automatically login to each of these sites without
manual interaction with login forms.
Any advice is appreciated.

Cross scripting between content in different domains is not
possible in AIR. Manipulating the form components of an HTML page
belonging to another domain will be not possible.

Autofill Forms in Adobe Acrobat 8

I'm trying to create a field which automatically autofills another field. I have tried copying and pasting text boxes with the same name and changing the field to the same name but I have not had any luck. I also went to edit-duplicate forms which failed.
I'm right now using Adobe Acrobat 8; any tips would be appreciated.

That form was created in LiveCycle Designer (XFA form), so the rules that apply to forms created in Acrobat (Acroforms) do not necessarily apply. What you need to do to get it to behave as you want is to set the binding of the fields to "Global" as opposed "Normal". Do this on the Binding tab of the Object palette for the text field. If you have questions in the future about forms you create in LiveCycle Designer, it is best to post in the LiveCycle Designer forum here.

Autofill form text fields from database

I have made a form in asp code with text fields. Behind this page is a database (access).
This database contains static information and does not need to be updated. It is only for output.
In this form, there are some text fields to be filled in.
Reference
First name
Last name
E-mail address
Telephone number
This information is in the database.
What I try to do is that when the first text field "Reference" is filled, the related information is selected from the database and automatically put in the other corresponding text fields.
Anybody any idea how to do this?

I don't use ASP, but the simple way to approach this problem is to have two pages. The first page contains a form with a text field for Reference and a submit button. Set the form's method to GET, and the action to the page that contains the full form.
In the page that contains the full form, create a recordset to select the details from the database, using the URL parameter for Reference as a filter. You can then bind the results from the recordset to the value attributes of the remaining form fields.

AutoFill form field?

I am creating a form in Adobe Acrobat 8 Professional and I want it to automatically fill in the rest of the field once the user types what they need in it. A good example of this is when you fill out a check and draw a line through the end of the pay field so that nothing can be added. I would like to use * or - to finish the field. Thanks.

Use this for the custom format script for that field. This uses the character limit for the field, so set it to the maximum length you want the user to be able to enter.

How to install an autofill forms extension to a tool bar

I want to place a link to my autofill extension on a toolbar.
I had it and somehow lost it and have forgotten how to do it.
The extension is on my list of add-ons.
