Hi BPC Experts,
When I change the context, automatically run DM package with same context changes
Please anybody tell how it is possible?

"When I click macro button" doesn't mean that "When I change the context, automatically run DM package"!
You want to run DM using macro attached to the button and you want context selection to be passed to DM without user having to select values.
Simple way - to use default values in the DM advanced script:
PROMPT(SELECTINPUT,%TIME%,,"Select Time:","TIME",,1)
1 at the end will result in selection of context member.

Reg: Logic for context change

Dear friends,
I have a scnario where i need to uploade the sumary of financial entries.
For every one line item i need to create a target side as 2 line item for debit and credit entry.
I achived this by using duplicatesubtree.
Now the issue is for all the entries there should only one debit entry by summing all the line item amout and all the credit item entries.
Even this is achived by using the context change at the sum function.
In fico we can uploade only 900 line item not more that. for this i have make use of counter and udf to resolve this.
But now for context change i need to genarate one debit entry for every 899 credit entrries(input line items).
It mean for 899 input item sum to be taken in to one debit line item at target in the duplicatesubtree
For this i have a udf it gives a counter change after 899 line items.
Now on this change how should i change the context..for sum and create the debit item after every 899.
I have refered this thread .

The upper part of the code does this: M12319,M12320,M22321, when you use the substring it outputs now 2319,2320,2321

M1,M1,M2, then you use splitByValue. The output is now M1,M1,CC,M2.
When you input the code from the upper part and lower part into a formatByExample node, the output becomes

Udf for context change

 I write a UDF to change context but it is not working properly
 can any please guide me. code is ,

In this code it is working for 'result.addValue ("true")' but not for 'result.addValue(ResultList.CC)'

I've doubt that the condition for true is not satisfied and it always goes to else block.
Add MappingTrace to your code and check if its going to the If block or always it goes to esle block.
One more thing what is this operator for (int j = 0 ; j><Plant.length ; j++) ? What r u trying to achieve...

BPC10 - Data manager package for dimension data export and import

Dear BPC Expers,
Need your help.
I am trying to set up a data manager package for first time to export dimension - master data from one application and import in another application ( both have same properties) .
I created a test data manager package from Organize > add package > with process chain /CPMB/EXPORT_MD_TO_FILE and Add
In the advance tab of each task there are some script logic already populated. please find attached the details of the script logic written under each of the tasks like MD_Source, concvert and target .
I have not done any chnages in the script inside the task .
But when i run the package , I have selected a dimension 'Entity' but in second prompt ,it ask for a transformation file , and syatem autometically add the file ... \ROOT\WEBFOLDERS\COLPAL\FINANCE\DATAMANAGER\TRANSFORMATIONFILES\Import.xls
I have not changed anything there
in the next prmpt , it ask for a output file ..and it won't allow me enter the file name .....i
Not sure how to proceed further.
I shall be greatfull if someone guide me from your experiance how to set up a simple the data manager package for master data export from dimension . Should I update the transformation file in the script for import file and output file in the advance tab. how and what transformation file to be created and link to the data manager package for export / import .
What are the steps to be executed to run the package for exporting master data from dimension and import it another application .

1. Perhaps you want to consider a system copy to a "virtual system" for UAT?
2. Changes in QAS (as with PROD as well) will give you the delta. They should ideally be clean... You need to check the source system.
Another option is to generate the profiles in the target system. But for that your config has to be sqeaky clean and in sync, including very well maintained and sync'ed Su24 data.

i need to run a package which will send a mail as soon after it runned. I have a package. But i need to run that package for each and every 10 min in a day. For that how i can create a job to execute that package.
As a result of the job for each and every 10 min ill be receiving a mail. How to create a job to execute my package for every 10 min.

if i compiled the package separately means, i can able to execute it successfully and also im receiving mails correspondingly.

How to create a dynamic SSIS package for multiple flat file destinations

Hi,
I have to create a ssis package which has single data flow task and inside that I have 23 source (sql- select * from - statements)- destination (flat files, 23 distinct) connection.
Now for each product I have to create separate SSIS package (i.e. if prod=abc then these read select * from abc_tables and 23 abc_ txt files)
I want to do it dynamically, means only single package and inside that variables will take select * values for each source-dest connection (so i believe 23 variables) and same for destination flat files.

asking all I want is to have a dynamic structure

What I feel is what you're looking for is to have a looping structure to loop through each of the 5
products.
In that case what you could do is this
1. Create a object variable in SSIS
2. Use a Execute SQL Task to populate the variable with all available products (I think you'll have a master table for that). Set ResultSet property to Full ResultSet and then in ResultSet tab map Object variable to 0 th index
3. use a ForEachLoop container with ADO .NET recordset enumerator and map to object variable. Create a variable of datatype same as that of Product identifier field to get individual values out
4. Inside loop create your data flow task with 23 source destination connection. In the query part use a parameter for product field and map it to the variable containing product value to get only data for the product.

BSoD Packager for AIR

I'm running v1 of TCS on a Dell Optiplex 755 w/4GB RAM. When
I run RoboHelp Packager for AIR on any output, repeat "any output,"
after I review the output and exit the packager, I get a BSoD. This
is dependable and replicable...10 times so far today trying to
diagnose it. Test has rulled out a RAM issue. Any advise?

I may have found the issue:
When I spin an AIR application from WebHelp output and
preview the AIR application, or
when I Preview an application from the AIR Packager Generate
dialog,
if I Cancel the dialog before I close the AIR application,
the OS will BSoD every time;
if I Cancel the Generate dialog without first closing the AIR
application, the AIR Packager exits and returns control to me
without error, every time.
This sounds like a memory management bug of a garbage
collection bug.
When I close the fresh AIR application before I exit the AIR
Packager, apparently the AIR Packager attempts to clear memory,
finds that <some address> is already clear, and barfs with
"PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA" every time.

Automatic run for PRAA change

Hi,
I want to change the employee vendor name automatically through PRAA.
I have scheduled a background job for PRAA and it is just creating a session in SM35.
Could you please let me know whether I need to create a seperate job (which is given in PRAA, name of job) for running this session, or do I need to do manually?
I am able to see the name of job which is executed in SM37, but the session is not run, vendor name is not changed.

Hello Sally,
I am following the same process as you have mentioned.
When i explicitly update a vendor through PRAA it is updated successfully. Changes are reflected in XK02 / XK03. But when done via a batch job changes are not reflected.
Do you have any idea as to what can be the possible cause for not updating the vendors despite everything executing successfully? Please your inputs on this.

Running Permission Scripts for App-V packages in VDI environment

Hi
We use App-V 5.0 SP1 in VDI environment.
We have a major problem with packages' permissions
Our users don't have administrative privileges on their machines.
As the option for "Security Descriptors" is discontinued, the only way to give permissions to a folder in a package is to use the VFSCACLS.vbs as a startup script of a package.
This way the first time users launch an application they're prompt to reopen it, and the second time they can use the application with the needed permissions.
The problem:
The script saves those permission changes under LOCALAPPDATA\AppV...
Therefore, everytime the users logoff the folder is deleted (VDI...) and again, they must run the script for the first again to get the permissions back after logon!
We cannot roam the LOCALAPPDATA\AppV folder as its size can be dozens of GBs...
Folder permissions with group policy is also not a solution, as the folder name changes everytime we upgrade a package and it's impossible to follow with hundreds of packages.
So it's either we're missing something critical in the architecture with VDI environment or there's a normal solution for these situations.

that's what I did! the problem is that I find my self over and over again want to sequence packages in App-V 5.0 and forced to sequence it in App-V 4.6.
I really hope that it wasn't App-V team's goal. announcing App-V 5.0 and tell us it doesn't support many things so we will still need App-V 4.6 forever.
I have to maintain 2 different App-V environments with 4 different servers , 4 different sequencers and 2 clients on each computer. it doesn't make any sense for me to forced to stay with both of the versions forever.
correct me if I'm wrong but App-V 4.6 is a legacy application. the new versions cover only support on newer operating systems and nothing more. I won't be surprised if in the next version of MDOP won't come with App-V 4.6 anymore and Microsoft will announced
it's unsupported very soon.
Every time I open a ticket with MS Support the best thing I get is "It's a known issue, we can't tell when it will be fixed"
can you help me more ? move it forward to other people from the inside? at least agree with me that something is not as expected in App-V 5.0... :(

Back up all data.
This procedure will unlock all your user files (not system files) and reset their ownership and access-control lists to the default. If you've set special values for those attributes on any of your files, they will be reverted. In that case, either stop here, or be prepared to recreate the settings if necessary. Do so only after verifying that those settings didn't cause the problem. If none of this is meaningful to you, you don't need to worry about it.
Step 1
If you have more than one user account, and the one in question is not an administrator account, then temporarily promote it to administrator status in the Users & Groups preference pane. You can demote it back to standard status when this step has been completed.
Triple-click the following line to select it. Copy the selected text to the Clipboard (command-C):

Step 2
Boot into Recovery by holding down the key combination command-R at startup. Release the keys when you see a gray screen with a spinning dial.
When the OS X Utilities screen appears, select
Utilities ▹ Terminal
from the menu bar. A Terminal window will open.
In the Terminal window, type this:
resetpassword
That's one word, all lower case, with no spaces. Then press return. A Reset Password window will open. You’re not going to reset a password.
Select your boot volume ("Macintosh HD," unless you gave it a different name) if not already selected.
Select your username from the menu labeled Select the user account if not already selected.
Under Reset Home Directory Permissions and ACLs, click the Reset button.
