Automated system and black set boxes

I have always been an advocate for FIOS.  I have persuaded many friends to become customers.  This being said, Verizon has majorly let me down in the past month.  First, I am frustrated that I can not get a silver set box.  The new black boxes are awful.  There's no reason we should continue to pay more for service and get inferior equipment.  A set box should have display capabilities.  The other major problem is the new automated phone system.  I have had to call a couple of times in the past couple of days.  The automated system drives me crazy.  I don't want to spend a couple of minutes talking to a machine - only to have my problem still not resolved.  Give us real people off the bat.  Think of ways to serve your customers not frustrate!

cgcraig,
We are sorry about your experience with this issue.  Please let us know if the issue has been resolved or if you still have concerns.
Thank you,
Tonya D.

  • Laughing sound, media keys funny, and black select boxes

I've only had my macbook for 2 weeks and its gone weird today. It starts with a black select box around icons, popup windows, and the task bar. Then i try to listen to the new mac holiday add when i hear weird laughing. Then the laughing starts when i click on something, anything. I try to turn down the volume with the media key (F12) then dashboard comes in. The contrast keys dont work, and F11 makes firefox browser move to the top right of the screen out of view.

  • Best system and file set up for SSD + HDD in optical drive

I have finally pulled the trigger and purchased a Samsung 512GB 840 pro SSD for the main bay in my late 2011 Macbook Pro and a iTB SATA 2 HDD with Data Doubler from OWC to replace my optical drive. My question is what is the best way to set these up after I have installed them?I am an audio engineer and I do a lot of multi channel audio editing with large files and want the SSD for the speed for my editing. Do I set these up as separate drives or do I RAID ( if that is possible)? Do I have my System software and programs on the SSD and use the HDD as my scratch drive? I don't have access to a Mac Mini, so can't create a fusion drive. Appreciate the advise.

Put the SSD in the main drive bay and the rotating HDD in the Optical bay. Use either Disk Utility or one of the Cloning software programs to Restore or Clone your current install from the HDD to the SSD.
Or Make a Time Machine Backup of the current install and then use the Recovery HD system to Restore that TM backup to the SSD.
Or you can do a Clean install of OS X on the SSD then reinstall all your programs and then copy over all your files from the HDD to the SSD.
Many ways to do what you want. You just have to pick the one you want to use.
Yes all files on every drive connected to your Mac in any way, internally or by an external port, will be seens by Finder.

  • TAS(Terminal Automation System) interface with SAP

    Hi All,
kindly suggest procedure to establish the interface between the TAS(terminal Automation System) and SAP in SAP SD delivery processing.
    i am furnishing details below
terminal Automation System is third party software(legacy) which is used in loading of Hydrocarbons in Truck Tanker,it will capture the details like
    material
    product code
    product quantity
we require the loaded quantity which is  loaded into Truck tanker using the TAS(terminal Automation System) as picked quantity in SAP SD delivery process automatically.
    thanks in Advance

    Hi Sathya,
Once, we had a similar requirement.
To get attendance system records into SAP only for reporting purposes, we defined a Z-table.
Then we transferred the data from the attendance system database table into respective SAP Z-table via some RFC calls (we tied these RFCs to job so that they were executed every day).
Then we made the reporting on this Z-table accordingly.
Nothing in time management infotypes changed.

    Hi,
According to your descriptioin, I don't think this is system problem, it should be Intel driver problem. It would be contact Intel to confirm this issue whether this is their driver problem.

  • MacBookPro 15.4 keep freezing up with black dialog box to press power button until off and restart

MacBookPro15.4 less than a year old keep freezing/locking with black dialog box to press power button until off and restart THEN repeat successive times after restarting it?

If you're able to boot, launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ If you’re running Mac OS X 10.7 or later, open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the page that opens.
Select the most recent panic log under System Diagnostic Reports. Post the contents – the text, please, not a screenshot. For privacy’s sake, I suggest you edit out the “Anonymous UUID,” a long string of letters, numbers, and dashes in the header and body of the report, if it’s present (it may not be.) Please don't post "shutdownStall" or "hang" reports.
If you can't boot in the usual way, try a safe boot. The instructions provided by Apple are as follows:
Be sure your Mac is shut down.
    Press the power button.
Immediately after you hear the startup tone, hold the Shift key. The Shift key should be held as soon as possible after the startup tone, but not before the tone.
Release the Shift key when you see the gray Apple icon and the progress indicator (looks like a spinning gear).
During startup, you’ll see a progress bar, and then the login screen, which appears even if you normally log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
Safe mode is slower than normal, and some things won’t work at all.

I am trying to download iTunes on my new desktop computer (Windows 7, 64 bit).  It starts installing, and then stops with the message- "The System Administrator has set policies to prevent this installation." This is a stand alone computer and I am the sole user.   Please help.

This is a Microsoft Windows Issue.
    From a MS Support Engineer:
    "Hi,
    ·        Is the computer on a domain?
    ·        Is the issue isolated to only this software or you get the same error message with other software’s as well?
Try the steps below and check if it helps.
    Step 1:
Run the software setup file as an administrator and check if it helps.
    a. Right click on the setup file of the software that you are trying to install.
    b. Select “Run as administrator”.
    Step 2:
Temporarily disable the antivirus software running on the computer and check if you are able to install the software.
    Disable antivirus software
    Warning:
Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you shouldn't disable your antivirus software. If you have to temporarily disable it to install other software, you should re-enable it as soon as you're done. If you're connected to the Internet or a network while your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.
    Step 3:
    a. Click Start, type "Local Security Policy" (without quotes) and press enter.
    b. Click on Software Restriction Policies.
    c. In the right pane, double click on the "enforcement".
    d. Select “All users except local administrators”.
    e. Click Ok and restart the computer and check if the issue is fixed."

  • HT1926 Everytime I try and install iTunes it says "the system administrator has set policies to prevent this installation".  does anyone know what this means?

I am using my partners computer.  He has iTunes on his laptop but when I went to update iTunes, it said "the system administrator has set policies to prevent this installation".  I therefore deleted iTunes altogether thinking to reinstall the original iTunes and then upgrade it (i,e start from scratch) but to know avail.  Is this a problem with my laptop itself?  Or a problem with the internet settings?
    HELP PLEASE!!

Let's try something relatively simple. Download and save a copy of the installer to your hard drive (don't run the install on line and don't start the install just yet):
    http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
Now right-click on the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64Setup.exe) that you downloaded and select "Run as administrator".
Does that go through any better for you?

Get an HDMI switcher. Plug in the ATV directly to the TV and then use the switcher on the other input.

    3) upon waking computer from sleep the bluetooth doesn't pair with the keyboard or mouse (I usually just power them both off and then back on and this seems to work)
