Automated way to overlay one image over multiple images from a folder?

I need to overlay a transparent image of a tablet over about 50 images from a folder - is there any automated way to do this? I can use either Photoshop or Illustrator

Have you tried makig an aciton yet. Should not be too difficult since you want to to use the same image , you can copy once, and use paste during the action.
Make sure when you run the action as a batch, that you choose your destination. As a folder is safest, so you do not write over your original file.

In the Viewer is there a way to rate only 1 of multiple images selected.
One usually views multiple variations or versions in the Viewer to be able to make a choice of which particular one to keep. However when you try and rate one of those all selected images take on the same rating/label etc.

Can I insert an image over another image?

Hi there,
I currently have a "contact me" hotspot link set up in the header of my web page
that takes visiter to my contact page.
I would like the button area to display a slightly lighter version of the button
when it is hovered.
Is there a way to insert an image with this rollover function over another image?

Seriously the best way to do that is using a css background image on an 'anchor' tag. When you hover over the anchor tag the background image is swapped to a lighter one.

How do I print a single image when multiple images are open?

There was discussion on this back in 2009 but I hope that things have been put right - if they have, I can't find the answer.
I have multiple images open and want to print just the top image. I can't do it - PSE prints all of them and uses the same settings for all of them!
The solution appears to be to select the image to be printed in the project bin and then print. But I hate the project bin - simply a waste of screen area.
Is using the project bin the only way to do this?

Click in the project bin to select it before you enter the print window.
Oops, sorry, just saw your comment about that. Yes, the only way unless you want to just remove the others once in the PSE print window.

How do I insert a substitute image over another image? Dreamweaver CC

I want to have a picture with theres to words "photos" and "videos" (on top of this image).
And i would like that they get underlined- individually- when you scroll your mouse on top of each one.
I was planning on using a substitute image of the letters -a picture of the original word and a picture of the underlines word as a substitute- but I can't find a div that will let me insert a substitute image on top of the bigger picture.
I have tried slicing the image in photoshop so that the part of the picture with the word on top is just a square that i can use for the substitute image, but the pictures can´t be right next to each other to form the whole picture!

Use TweenMax for this.
the syntax is like this:

Displaying a temporary image over another image

Hello,
I am writing a program where I need to draw a filled rectangle over another image then disappear (without drawing on to it).
The Image is on a JPanel.
Obviously I can not use Graphics.drawImage because that will permantley draw the rectangle on the image.
How can I achieve what I want to do here?

Exporting one clip as multiple clips from timeline?

I've got one piece of media that has half a dozen shots on it.
I cut the shots on the timeline.
Is there a way I can export those 'individual' shots separately from that same sequence, or using batch export maybe?
Or do I have to put each in a separate sequence and then batch export the sequences?
I did simply make the cuts, drag the separate clips to the bin, and try a batch export ... but of course each separate clip, when exported, became the full piece of media (with all six shots) again.
I've got a lot of shots to extricate from large chunks of media, so I can run them as separate shots through Color. I noticed when I 'sent' the separate clips (though still all from the orginal chunk of media) into Color, Color couldn't process them as separate clips, kept getting confused (or it seemed like that was happening).
Any suggestions would be most appreciated,

Yes! Thank you Shane. For some odd reason I haven't had to make sub-clips for years. I'd forgotten all about that. I created individual sequences, batch exported from the sequences, but was getting odd results, unpredictable. Then I exported each clip singly, right from the original timeline ... and had odd problems. Aha! So I rebooted FCP ... and everything was working again. Bad news, trying to do something unfamiliar and FCP has got itself tied in an inivisible little knot.
Still, the subclips look like the way to go. Coz then I can batch export ... and go do something else more profitable in the meanwhile, like now, like lunch for instance.

Is there a way of selecting one colour in an image?

I have a 4 colour image and I need to do alternative colourways.
Is there a quick way of selecting all of one colour so I don't have to select each area individually?

Another option is to do Image - Adjust - Hue/Saturation, choose the color from the list (e.g., "Reds"), then adjust Hue/Sat for just that color.
If you're knowledgeable about adjustment layers, it might be preferable to do this with a Hue/Saturation adjustment layer.
Once you have chosen a color category in the Hue/Saturation dialogs, you can click on the actual color in the image to fine tune the center of the range, and you can move the range ends to change the range the colors affected and how smooth the transition will be.

How do you stretch an image over multiple pages?

I need to print a large picture, one that will be 30x30 inches. I need to print multiple pages with the image cut up but when I try to resize the image to make it bigger, Pages doesn't create a new page, it just runs the image off the page. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Pages will accept custom page sizes of 30x30 (or even larger), but then you're faced with the problem of finding a printer that will handle that size of paper.
OTOH, if you move you're project to Numbers, you can:
Open a "Blank" template.
Use the Metrics Inspector to set the Sheet size to 30" by 30"
Click on the Table in the sidebar to select it.
Press Delete.
You'll be left with a 30x30 (or larger) blank slate on which you can place Text boxes, Shapes and graphics objects (including your large picture).
Thanks to Yvan, who has been mentioning the use of a Numbers sheet as a canvas foe some time now.

Can LabVIEW overlay a dial over an image?

I would like to overlay a dial on top of an image in LabVIEW. It would be great if the dial could rotate about the center axis. I included an attachment of what It would possibly look like. Please let me know if any of you know how to do this.

You need to set the other items on a normal dial to transparent and place it on top the image.

How do I split a large image over multiple pages?

I need to produce and A1 sized retail poster, but do not have access to an A1 large-format printer.
I currently have an Epson Stylus R1800 A3+ printer, once I have created the A1 image in PS CS3, is there an effective way to split my image into four-separate A3 pages for printing?
Any help greatly appreciated :)

You could do it in a Page Layout program like InDesign or Quark or an illustration program like Illustrator (I believe) or Freehand.
But look at all your Printer options first. Many printers have a Poster or Tile option that will do this.

How to define one filter over multiple dimensions

I am a SAP BW consultant trying to move the first steps in BO. I am quite new and unskilled in this area.
I built an Universe on a SAP BW query. This query is about Product master data. Among other characteristics I have defined also three year characteristics (Teil1, Teil2 and Teil3). In correspondence of every of those year characteristic a key figure is defined (Quant1, Quant2 and Quant3).
I have now the requirement to build a Web Intelligence report, being able to filter across the three year characteristics and reporting the corresponding key figures.
An example:
                 Teil1   Teil2    Teil3   Quant1 Quant2 Quant3
Record1   2001   2002   2003    10            20          30
Record2   2007   2009   2010    30            80         110
Record3   2002   2003   2005     6             40          30
I might be able to define a general filter over the characteristics Teil 1 Teil2 and Teil3, acting like that:
General Filter: 2003
Reported Values    Record1 Quant3 (30)
                               Record3 Quant2 (40)
since year 2003 is appearing only in record1 and 3 and not in record2.
What i am trying to build is a "or" condition Teil1 = 2003 Or Teil 2 = 2003 or Teil3 = 2003, where the year value is defined by the user at query execution.
I hope, my requirement is clear and, above all, you are able to help me.

you can create a quick filter that will be applied locally on the WebI report. All you have to do is to create a WebI variable that contains the OR condition and apply the filter to it:
assuming your variable is named MyVariable the formula will look like this:
=if (Teil1 = 2003 Or Teil 2 = 2003 or Teil3 = 2003) then 1 else 0
Then you have to apply the following filter on the report section you display your results
MyVariable=1
Please note that still all data will be fetched into your webi report and will be filtered after that. This may cause performance problems if we are talking about a large number of data. In this case you may ant to consider to add a customer exit variable into your BEx query.

One library over multiple accounts-how to

Hello
I was wondering how you can set up an iTunes library so that it can be accessed by any account on your computer.
Would using the shared folder to store the library allow such access? Also, would iTunes automatically find it, or would you have to reassign the library it uses?
My computer currently has no music on it, and the library in question is on an external drive, brought from my old computer (which only used one account). If that makes a difference.
