Automatic clearing vs down payment clearing

Dear Guru's,
I got a problem regariding clearing,My Client wants to clear customer down payments against invoices through Automatic clearing f.13.
Is it possible or not? If possible let me know other wise why it is not possible.
And also give me few points regarding F-39 ( Customer down payment clearing ) vs F.13 ( Automatic clearing.
Appreciated your kind of help.
Shekar.

Hi
In order to clear these documents both invoice & down payment - assignment field and amount fields should be same.
Down payment clearing is manual - this will be done manually.
F.13 - automatic clearing is done by the system based on the criteria maintained in the configuration

  • ME2DP & Down Payment Clearing LIV

    Dear All,
I am facing three issues while creating and clearing  down payment through ME2DP and MIRO.
1- While clearing down payment in MIRO, system is not clearing FI down payment document automatically. At the time of posting,, system generate two documents, one is Invoice and other is Down Payment.
2- After posting Invoice in MIRO with Down Payment clearing button, Status Red is activated in ME2DP which was green after creating down payment.
3- After executing all the entries from Procure to Payment, there is still Down Payment request outstanding in Purchase Order History.
    Waiting for reply!
    Regards
    AJ

    Hi Abdul,
The purpose of using ME2DP is you can enter down payment data in purchase orders at header and item level.
You can use the down payment clearing function to clear down payments that you have posted with reference to a purchase order directly in logistics invoice verification (without going to the relevant financial accounting transactions).
If you perform down payment clearing in logistics invoice verification, when you enter an incoming invoice for a purchase order, the system proposes all down payments that have been posted with reference to the purchase order and that are not yet completely cleared, for down payment clearing. The system posts the down payment clearing document together with the invoice document.
By using ME2DP you can avoid making the down payment clearing in financial accounting as it will get cleared while posting MIRO.
    Also, refer this note 1637282
Hope you will get some idea.
    Regards

  • Automatic Clearing of Down Payment

    We have scenario
    1. Downpayment request is triggered from SO
    2. Payments is received against the request
    3. When we post invoice we want it to be automatically cleared against down payment received. I have heard that standard SAP functionality does that. Our invoice from SO doesn't clear the invoice against received downpayment.
    Any Suggestions?

    Hi Pankaj,
As per SAP standard design, it is not possible to clear the down payments during invoice booking.
See, basically till the time you book / post invoice, the down payment is treated and shown under CURRENT LIABILITIES.Once you finish billing, then you have to clear the pending / uncleared down payments against the posted invoice. This will transfer the down payment transactions from alternative reconcilation account to normal recon account.
After doing this only, you will be able to clear all items together in F.13. Otherwise you have to manually clear all line items (including invoice lines and down payment lines) in F-32.

  • Automatic Down Payment clearing

    Dear All,
We have activated the "Configure Automatic clearing of Down Payments". The down payment clearing document is posting at the time of Goods receipt and is consuming budget as an actual expenditure. At the time posting invoice, system is consuming budget again. So  Please let us know the reason.
We updated the setting in OFUP as GR and Inv for GR/IR Update.
    Update profile : 000101
Value type :61 (Consumption of Budget)

  • Vendor Down Payment Clearing: F-54 or F-44

    Hi
I have made a down payment (with Spl. GL indicator) to a vendor, using F-48. Then I book an invoice using FB60. I kept the two amounts same and ignored WT to keep things simple.
Now i want to clear the down payment against the invoice. I use F-54. The clearing transaction is getting posted. However, the Invoice is lying open (credit entry) along with the Clearing document (debit entry). On the other hand the down payment document (debit) is getting cleared with the Clearing document (credit entry). This means I have two open line items and two cleared line items. I can clear the two open items again using F-44.
    I have two questions:
    1. What is the use of F-54 here since I have to use F-44 eventually?
    2. While doing F-54, Posting Key for the debit line item is 26 : Payment Difference. This is could not understand.
Can anyone please help me out on this?
    Thanks in advance
    Aninda

    Dear Aninda ,
I will explain you with following example.
    Recon account(Vendor)---3000000
    Advance to Vendor----
    4005000
    Exp a/c----
    7575100
    Bank a/c----
    5000100
    1. Advance to Vendor (spl gl -A)(F-48)
    Vendor a/c    (SPL-A)( GL- 4005000)        DR   1000
                      T0  Bank a/c (GL-5000100)                  1000
    2. Invoice posting
    Expenditure a/c ( GL-7575100) Dr      1000
         To  Vendor Account(GL-3000000)     1000
    3. Clear Vendor Down Payment (F-54)
    Vendor  a/c (GL-3000000) DR                1000 (Posting key-26)
         To Vendor a/c (SPL-A)( GL- 4005000)          1000
It means  Credited spl GL-A has converted from advance to Normal open item. Amount has been transferred from Advance to Vendor GL to Normal Recon account.By this way Advance account shows Nil  Balance with debit(F-48) and Credit (F-54)
The remaining 2 line items i.e., Credit (F-43) and Debit (F-54) shows as open items. In the next step we need to knock off those line items by manual clearing or automatic clearing.
    4. Normal Clearing (F-44)
It will be posted without line items.
I hope i am able to help you out to understand process

    HI
Please pay attention at  the possible causes of message AU133:
    1. Error AU133:
       a) You have not defined a contra account for acquisition value postings in the Asset Accounting Customizing settings (Transaction AO90).However, this is required as of Release 4.6C because, as is the case for all other integration postings in Asset Accounting, invoice receipt postings have to be displayed in Asset Accounting via the new posting kernel to ensure an identical document
    structure.
       b) You have defined the account in Asset Accounting, however, it is not created in the affected company code.Check whether the account is correct and create it for the company code, if necessary.
    2. You have entered an asset reconciliation account for the "Contra account: Acquisition value posting" (for example, the same account as for   "Acquisition:Acquis. and production costs" account). This is not  permitted.Check whether your account determination is correct
(Transaction AO90) in Asset Accounting Customizing. The same applies
for the 'Contra account: Down payment posting'.
    3. As "Contra account: Acquisition value posting" you entered an asset G/L account. If necessary change the automatic posting indicator in the G/L account master record.
4.Check if you need  revaluation accounts in depreciation areas involved   (AO90):
      -Revaluation acquis. and production costs
      -Offsetting account: Revaluation APC
Please run also programm RACKONTO where missing or wrong customizing
the accoutn determinations per company code is displayed

  • Down Payment clearing at the time of Goods Receipt

    Dear All,
We have activated the setting "Configure Automatic clearing of Down Payments". We are entering down payment in PO and while processing Goods Receipt system is generating automatic down payment clearing document. The issue is the document posting with GR/IR line items are not updating in the FM report FMRP_RFFMEP1AX. The Goods receipt line item is picking the account assignments like Fund center etc are updated based on PO account assignments because we are referring PO while doing down payment. The invoice also created with GR/IR line item and these line items are also updated in FMRP_RFFMEP1AX report. So the line items against GR/IR are part of consumption of budget. The consumption amount does not contain GR/IR line item while doing goods receipt but invoice GR/IR line is part of consumption of budget. As a result, the GR/IR line item is not nullifying the consumption of budget and is adding to the consumption in addition to the expense line item in goods receipt. So its consuming budget twice.
The issue is GR/IR line item while doing goods receipt is not part of consumption of budget even though the GR/IR line item created in the Goods receipt document. At the same time the GR/IR line item in invoice line item is part of consumption of budget. Please let me know the reason why the GR/IR line item in Goods receipt is not updating in the report.

  • F-04 Section code error while full Down Payment Clearing

    Hi,
I am facing a situation wherein suppose I have given an advance of INR 10,000 to an employee as Travel advance but due to some reason his trip got cancelled and the employee is refunding me the full advance. I am trying to clear that down payment of INR 10,000 through transaction code F-04 but I am getting an error and the system is asking to input Section code to proceed further but the Section code field is greyed out; I can see only Business Place coming automatically but not Section code. In this case ofcourse no invoice will be raised on the employee.
I am facing the same problem if try to clear through F-54 without any invoice reference. But when I try to do a partial/residual clearing the system allows me to enter Section code and proceed with the clearing. I have created a validation for making Section code mandatory and am using Sets (t-code GS01) in my validaiton but i have not inputted clearing transaction codes in there.
What I am unable to understand is why I am getting this error only while doing full clearing and without invoice reference. If there is something wrong with the validation I should get the same error while doing partial/residual clearing.
Please help me out on this one.
    Thanks

    Hi
In validation , you have to give TCODs in which both the field required to make mandatory. Otherwise it is applicable for every transaction of vendor.
Make necessary changes in prequisits in validation.

  • Clearing Customer down payment for down payment amount not equal to Customer Invoice amount

    Dear All,
Below process are posting Customer transaction directly via FI without SD cycle.
Customer down payment = 102 INR
                Customer Invoice = 103 INR
While doing Customer clearing w.r.t Invoice system has cleared the down payment document but posted an open item in Customer account with clearing document number  of value Rs 102  .
    Concern:-
                   1) How 1 INR difference will be countered , via receipt payment from customer from bank account ?
                   2) In case we have defined tolerance limit of 5% for Customer and this come to be > 1 INR ,does SAP provide clearing Customer items
automatically via any Standard Customer clearing process based on rule defined  ?
    Pls suggest

    Hi,
the information of the exchange rates used for down payments, is
stored in table TCURR ( exchange rates)
For the request down payment the actual exchange rate of table TCURR
or the rate of document header is taken.
When this down payment request is payed, also the exchange rate of
the actual day (TCURR) is taken.
That´s why the amount in the bank posting in local currency result
from translating the foreign currency amount at the current rate,
instead of resulting from the total of the local currency amounts
    from the settled items.

  • How to clear the down payment against the vendor invoice in the payment program?

A down payment is made $25 Later an invoice is posted for $100 Now i want to Pay $75 to Vendor But the Automatic payment program  is not clearing the down payment against the vendor invoice. Could you please help how to clear the down payment against the vendor invoice in the payment program?

    Swathi,
Need your help i have a strange situation
    1) F-48 and document posted with document no = 15..... in company code = L002 with payment block getting populated automatically
    2) F-48 and document posted with document no= 15..... in company code = Us11 without payment block and the screen does not even show payment block, I had to check this from BSEG table
    My question is
    a) How and where does this payment block is triggered through configured and how to process next steps.
    b) when I use F-48, how do we do the actual payment, is there a check printing and linking it to the KZ document or is check printing done outside the system and the KZ document type does not have any linkage.
    c) If I do FB60 for a higher amount how do we pay partial amount.
    Your response is appreciated.

  • Down Payment Clearing Document shows as open item

    Hi,
I made an Down Payment Request (f-47) for $ 1000; made a Down Payment on that request (f110) for $1000; posted an invoice (fb60) with $ 1000; cleared the down payment and invoice (f-54) for $1000.
Now in vendor open item s(fbl1n), both invoice (KR) and the clearing document (KA) are shown, while in cleared items, the down payment request (KA), down payment (KZ) and the clearing document (KA) are shown.
    My questions:
    1) Why the invoice and the clearing document are shown as open items?
    2) Why the clearing document is shown as both open item and cleared item?
    Thanks in advance

    Dear,
Do not worry this is standard behavoiur by the system..see the below flow...
    1. Create down payment request - F-47. (Open)
    2. Create downpayment from the request F-48. (Down payment is open)
    3. Clear downpayment F-54. (Invoice and payment are open in normal items and Downpayment and requests are cleared. So downpayment came to normal items.
You will need to clear these items manually...

  • Deffered Tax transfer - Down payment Clearing F-39

    Hi,
I am using TAXINN procedure and configured deffered tax. I have created two sets of tax codes one set with multiple tax rate in tax codes and one set with only one tax rate in tax code.
Tax code I1 and I2 is created for interim service tax and final service tax with one tax rate in the tax code. The system is working as expected for this setting i.e. when I cleared the down payment against invoice it is updating the table DEFTAX_ITEM table with the advance paid document number.
Tax code S1 and S2 is created for interim service tax and final service tax with multiple tax rates in the tax codes. Here the system is not updating the table DEFTAX_ITEM with the advance paid document number when I cleared the advance against invoice using F-39 T.Code.  because of this when we excute deffered tax transfer using S_AC0_52000644 the system is not considering this document. Could you please let me know what is missing is there any thing I have to activate to update the DEFTAX_ITEM table when we cleared the advance with the invoice when the invoice/advance is having a tax code with more than one tax rate in it.
Advance thanks for your help and regards
