Automatic enabling of communication channels

Hello,
does anybody know if there is a way to enable/disable communication channels automatically using a batch script or anything similar? Background of my question is that I have got some JDBC sender adapters polling all the time. It would be very convenient to be able to control them in a programmatic way.

Hi Vishal,
thank's for your help but that's not exactly my requirement. The idea was to have some kind of trigger on the DB starting, when data comes in, the commincation channels automtically. It's a little tedious to do all these things manually. Other messaging systems (e.g. MQ Series) provide a scripting environment to do these things.

Automatic monitoring of communication channels

Hi Mighty Experts,
Do any of you know if it is possible to setup automatic monitoring rules for the communication channels (CC)? Or do you have any tips on how to automatically to monitor the CCs?
e.g if a CC is based on the file adapter and the directory is not present on the system the CC will fail but the ABAP message monitor show the message as successfully delivered. But in the Communication Channel Monitor you will see the error.

Hi,
I am not sure of automatic monitoring. But you can always create Alerts to monitor at Adapter engine level.
So, any kind of error occured in the CC's with respect to file not found or directory not found, will give you the message by email.

JMS communication channel

Hi,
We got an error in the JMS comunication channel.
After we got this error, we restarted the java stack. But then the
JMS communication channels did not resume the connectivity automatically.
We had to manually start and stop the channels. Even we tried making it 'Automatic' in the communication channel monitoring tab. But didnt help
Do we have to maintain any other settings?
Please help to rectify this.

Hi,
Just create two communication channels one for receiever and other sender message will be received from sender CC and then after mapping will go thru Receiver CC
While configuring the channel remeber to put the details like the channel name and queue from which you need to pick up the message and put the message as in yr case both are different

Communication channels restart

Hi,
Is there any way that we can start communication channels automatically.
I mean any way to schedule the restart of channels.

I dont think there is automatic Activation of Communication channel. once it is active it will keep polling the files. But if it is inactive state and you want it active without manual intervention, I dont think it is possible.
Experts suggest any other options to active it automatically.

Disappearance of Communication channel from the scenario

Hi Experts,
I am dealing with IDoc to EDI scenario . The scenario has in total 15 flows and i have configured respectively all the objects . The next day when i saw that scenario, the Receiver Communication channels are missing from the corresponding parties from that scenario but still existing under the respective parties in "Objects Tab" . Again i went and did "Add to Scenario" . But this is happening frequently.Is there any solution for this automatic disapperance of communication channels from the scenario ? Please help me out in this issue .

as u see them in the oblects tab,,it means they are present...are all of them under one party?
have made it a part of ur scenario?

Automatic monitoring of operational communication channels

Hi,
Can anyone tell me if there is a possibillity to automatically monitor the runtime status of the operational communication channels?
For instance the forwarding of the messages from (RWB > Component Monitoring>adapter monitoring-->adaptertype) to CCMS or picking up these logs with the alert framework.
Manual monitoring is not an option because the number of systems to be monitored is to big, so an "monitoring robot" has to be created for this specific area. Most of the other area's are already covered by alert framework and CCMS.
I hope someone has experience on this.

In blrhpqe2 system when we try to create the queue it gives end-of-communication error. It seems there some problem with the dbms_aqadmn. Can you please check-up and let know your feedback.

make sure that MQ send http request to PI. i dont think a configuration scenario is required in PI. Only roles should be enabled with proper user provided to MQ team.
However, for security reasons, you can configure a scenario if you dont want to expose PI infrastructure directly to 3rd parties.

Disabling all communication channels before starting XI

We are mirroring our XI system for DR purposes and I need to work out how to stop XI from retrieving and delivering messages when I start it up. I want to be able start up the DR system on the same network to check that it looks OK, but with all communication channels disabled (or stopped!).
Does anybody know how to do this?

Run the script to set the channels to “STOPPED” state:
update [<SID>].[SAP<SID>DB].[XI_AF_ADM_STATE] set ACTIVATION_STATE = 'STOPPED';
This the script below will set the History of the communication channels to STOPPED:
update [<SID>].[SAP<SID>DB].[XI_AF_ADM_STATEHIS] set ACTIVATION_STATE = 'STOPPED';
This will set the automatic scheduled communication channels schedule to disabled:

Next for disabling new incoming messages. Disable the Integration Engine (Set ENTRY LOCK to 1):

f you have locked the Integration Server for incoming messages, open it by calling the transaction Integration Engine - Administration (SXMB_ADM) and choosing Integration Engine Configuration Specific Configuration Change New Entries . Select the category RUNTIME and then the parameter ENTRY LOCK: Set the current value to 0 (NOT LOCKED) and choose Save
The message in the queues are still being processed.

Convrtd to Invterval Part- ORA-03113: end-of-file on communication channel

I had a table as Interval Partitioned. In order to create XML- Xpath indexes on it, I converted it to Range Partitioned table.
I am able to create the XPATH indexes but I get the error: ORA-03113: end-of-file on communication channel
- When I revert the code to Interval Partitioned without the XMLIndex, it works fine(although takes time as no XML Index)
- When I convert table to non partitioned table, create the XML Index, it works fine.
But I need the partitons, so when I create the partitioned table I get the error.

I think it's time you give a clear (and working) test case so that we can safely try to reproduce the issue.
What you've given so far has syntax error and name mismatch.
So please :

Need to use only one sender and receiver communication channel.

Hello Experts.
I have a scenario where in I have to use only one sender and receiver communication channel to push files from different source directories to different receiver directories.
For Eg;
Sender
D://dir1/file1 --->                  E://dir1/File1
F://dir2/file2 ---->                 G://dir2/file2
H://dir3/file3----->                 I://dir3/file3.
Can this be achieved by using pass through scenario?
Please let me know if the requirement is not clear.

Hi Advit,
I think it is possible. You have to use the Advanced Selection for Source file in the sender channel to define multiple files to be picked up. Also, the Dynamic configuration must also be enabled and used in the mapping so you can manipulate the target directory and target file name based on your source files.

One communication channel with 2 cluster node functioning at the same time

Hi Gurus,
We have PI 7.1 installed in a HA environment, which includes two servers.
server A: ASCSSCSDBERSAAS
server B: ERS + PAS
and we can see a jdbc channel in the communication channel monitoring, and along with the CC there are two cluster ID available,both of which are showing green -- functioning.
now the issue is the process is actually not started because there is no processing details, and when we stop the CC and then start, nothing happens, but there are still 2 green nights, seems very strange.
does any one have such experience and how can make these two nodes work well?

Probably they use an older version of alsa that doesn't have dmix enabled by default.

ORA-03113 : end-of-file on communication channel while running a SQL Query

Hi,
While executing the following query, we are facing ORA-03113 : EOF on communication channel error.

When we remove one of the values in the SRCE_SYS_ID's 'IN' condition the error is not thrown, e.g.
WHERE (SRCE_SYS_ID = 850 OR (SRCE_SYS_ID IN (1747) AND GEO_ID IN (826,372) AND PRTTN_BY_FUNC_DATE>=to_date('20060701','YYYYMMDD') ))
The version of the Database we are using is 10.2.0.3.0 - 64bi. Is this a common error in this version of the database because when we ran the same query in a 9i database we got no such error.
P.S : QDF_CLSS_SHENG_HIST table is partitioned on SRCE_SYS_ID and PRTTN_BY_FUNC_DATE

Yes, we get the same error and no dumps are getting created.It might be interesting to look at a trace file for this SQL statement with event 10046 at level 12 and event 10053 at level 1 enabled for the session. You may need to modify the query slightly to make certain that a hard parse is required (possibly by specifying a couple of the column names to be returned rather than *). Take a look through the raw trace file for something like this

Error in HTTP_AAE receiver communication channel, PI 7.4 dual stack

Dear Experts,
I am facing the below certificate error in HTTP_AAE receiver communication channel while using the third party (bank) private key. Third party bank server is HTTPS enabled, moreover they have generated the public and private keys on their server, and they shared the corresponding private keys in .p12 format to us. Our scenario in SAP PI is synchronous ABAP Proxy to HTTP_AAE, when I see the message in SXMB_MONI after testing, we get he below certificate error, though we have provided the correct path from keystorage view and keystorage entry in HTTP_AAE receiver communication channel
“com.sap.aii.adapter.http.api.HttpAdapterException: ERROR_SENDING_HTTP_REQUEST, sun.security.validator.ValidatorException: PKIX path building failed: sun.security.provider.certpath.SunCertPathBuilderException: unable to find valid certification path to requested target”
We have imported the private key provided by bank in Netweaver admin key storage, by following the below steps.
NWA -> Certificates -> Key Storage -> TrustedCA->Import Entry->Entry Type->PKCS#12 Key Pair->select the .p12 file->import.
Please see the attached doc for related screenshots.
Please experts help me experts as this is on high priority from client, also suggest me if I am doing anything wrong here.

Hi Farhaan,
do you have only one certificate or multiple certificate? HTTPS can have 2 or 3 certificates (Root, Intermediate [optional, if any 3rd party person is there in the middle then we can get this certificate] and system certificates).
The issue is with the certificate and it can be because All the certificate is not present or path is not correct.
