Automatically reconnect with tomcat

hello,
i've defined a connexion pool inside tomcat and would like to know if it's possible to configure this pool so that connexions are automatically reconnected when database restart?
here is the definition of my pool :

Old Oracle Session with Tomcat is not kiiling automatically

Hi,
I am facing a problem of increasing inactive oracle sessions with tomcat, Old Oracle sessions with tomcat are visible with new one.
if somebaody did not restarted tomcat gracefully, then does Oracle keep the session connected or is there any way that whenever any one restarted tomcat abnormally, Oracle session can be killed.
I had restart the database to kill session.

Could you please tell me that where do i set this parameter in parameter file or sql net file and what is the recommended value, do you have any document on this.
Another thing tomcat is in other server machine and my database is in different server machine, killing process in tomcat server machine manually may not kill linux process on oracle database machine and therefore oracle sessions are still there.
Is it possible?

10.9.2 upgrade and now wifi will not automatically reconnect after wake from sleep

I upgraded to 10.9.2 on my mid-2012 Macbook air and now when i wake the laptop from sleep the wifi will not automatically reconnect. I have to physically click on my network to re-join it.

Test after taking each of the following steps that you haven't already tried. Back up all data before making any changes.
1. Make sure the network is on the preferred list by following these instructions. It's important to read the article carefully, as it's the starting point for any further efforts to solve the problem. If you skip any of the steps, the problem may not be solved. Make sure the box marked
Remember networks this computer has joined
is checked.
2. Follow the instructions in this support article under the heading
Symptom: After restarting or waking from sleep, my computer might not connect to the Internet
3. Reset the PRAM.
4. Make a note of all your settings for Wi-Fi in the Network preference pane, then delete the connection from the connection list and recreate it with the same settings. You do this by clicking the plus-sign icon below the connection list, and selecting Wi-Fi as the interface in the sheet that opens. Select Join other network from the Network Name menu, then select your network. Enter the password when prompted and save it in the keychain.
5. From the Location menu at the top of the Network preference pane, select Edit Locations. A sheet will drop down. Click the plus-sign button to create a new location. Give it any name you want. In the new location, set up the Wi-Fi service with the same settings you used before. Click Apply and test.
6. Launch the Keychain Access application. Search for and delete all AirPort network password items that refer to the network. Make a note of the password first.
7. Repair permissions on the startup volume.
8. Turn off Bluetooth and test.
9. Reset the System Management Controller.
10. Reinstall OS X.

Mysql jdbc drivers with tomcat?

I am having trouble getting mySQL drivers to work on Tomcat. I have used the driver before with iPlanet Web Server, but I can't seem to get it to work with Tomcat. I am getting this error:
org.apache.jasper.JasperException: In <driver>, invalid driver class name: "org.gjt.mm.mysql.Driver"
The jar for the driver is in my WEB-INF/lib directory of my webapp. Seems like it isn't picking up the jar in the classpath. It was my understanding that jars in this dir were loaded automatically. Is there some way to log the classpath loaded in Tomcat?

System does not automatically reconnect to wifi network after sleep/restart

My iMac G4 (2GB RAM, 10.5.1, AirPort Extreme) does not automatically reconnect to my wife network after waking from sleep or restart. I just recently switched the iMac from a wired to wireless set-up though the machine has always had the AirPort card. In wired mode, it always automatically found the network.
Network preferences have the "Ask to join new networks" checkbox selected. Below the checkbox it reads "Known networks will be joined automatically."
My wireless router is Linksys WRT150N, security type is PSK and encryption method is AES key.
Anyone have any suggestions?

I'm having the same problem, the only way i can connect to my wireless network is to restart the computer, and open safari immediately. Then once it goes to sleep or i shut the notebook, i have to restart it again to use the internet. It's driving me nuts, and nobody knows how to fix it. I've tried firefox (it didn't help) and my sisters macbook connects just fine to my network, so it has to be a network setting. I'm going to schedule an appointment with a mac store tomorrow. so I'll post again when they fix it for me. hopefully i will understand how they solve the problem so i can post it to you guys

there is a way to automatically reconnect to a wifi network after the router has been switched on-off?
that's because at home we have a wifi network and router automatically switches off for 1hr during the night, i leave my laptop online but when i wake up in the morning it's always offline cause when the router turns on again my mac won't connect automatically to the network and i have to do it manually!

Mac - Mavericks automatically disconnect with Bluetooth speaker device

I am using a Mac with Mavericks OS , I don't know why but since the day I update to Mavericks my Mac always automatically disconnect with my speaker,which I use Bluetooth connection with the Mac, after I stop the music or movie for 10 seconds or 1 minutes, and I tried to reconnect the Mac with my speaker again but when I stop the music it disconnect again . Iphone automatically reconnecting to bluetooth speaker?

I just upgraded to the iphone last week and have been fiddling with an old Sony Ericsson bluetooth speaker (MBS-100) to work with it. Connecting to the speaker is no problem, but to reconnect I have to go to "settings > general > bluetooth" every time. Is there a way that the iphone can recognize that it's within range and automatically display the icon next to "play/pause"? (Ex. http://i.zdnet.com/blogs/airplay-iphone-2.jpg)

I've tried it a few times. I think that the latest iOS version must have excluded the drivers to automatically reconnect. It is a very old router and I'm considering to get another.

Oracle has an integrated PL/SQL appliction server inside the core database. Simplistically, you can call a PL/SQL stored procedure (with parameters) from your web browser. You can upload files directly by calling a PL/SQL stored procedure.
Even better, with Oracle 10G you do not need a web server like Apache. The httpd daemon resides inside the database.
This means less software layers. Less hardware needed (like a separate application server platform). Less moving parts that results in less complexity, fewer bugs and exponentially faster development times. (and no, the application server does not scale the data tier - so scalability is also not an issue)
Or you can use a web-based IDE and run-time system from Oracle using this technology, called Oracle Application Express. It is free. It supports Oracle 9.2 and 10G. It can run on anything from Oracle XE (Express Edition) to Oracle Enterprise RAC (Real Application Clusters).
I can pretty much guarantee that not knowing Oracle, you can and likely will make a mess of using Oracle from an application tier like Tomcat. There are numerous issues, especially around bind variables and locking and maximizing SQL (and PL/SQL) and minimizing app tier data processing code. I have lost count of how many poorly design and even poorer performing "high-end" commercial web-based applications I have run into for Oracle. Some of these costing serious money (and utterly lacking in peformance and scalability, requiring me to implement hacks on the back-end to work around their flaws)
Fact: to effectively use Oracle (in any architecture), you need somewhere someone that has solid Oracle experience to ensure that the fundamental Oracle principles are adhered to.
Using something like Oracle Application Express does a lot of these for you automatically. It handles state, optimistic locking, bind variables, etc. Allowing the developer to simply focus on the web application page design and the processing flow of the application. Very little PL/SQL or Oracle expertise required compared to using another app tier like Tomcat.
I would suggest that you give serious consideration to using Oracle's Application Express or moving your app tier into PL./SQL (and out of JSP, Java, PHP, Perl, etc).

SOLVED Ok. I actually was able to disable it. I had to actually log in as the guest user to make it accessible in the preference window. Then I disabled it and logged out. Apologies if this was obvious for some people, but I have had some sort of issue with something every update since Snow Leopard.

Our experience is a little different, we have different iTunes accounts for different family members, each family member has their own iTunes library on their own mac, each mac uses my Apple ID for homesharing and we are able to play purchased content from each library on the Apple TV.

i have an iphone that uses addresses/contacts. i don't use icloud because i was getting doubled calendar entries.
updating is done "via itunes on this computer"

WSUS-KB2734608-x64 is installed!
