Automatically showing the data

hi everyone,
I have a table with
ID------->pk
sentence
I got a jsp that retrieves the ID from the table and shows it to the user in selection and there is a text area next to id. Would it be possible for user to select the id and the saved sentence comes up automatically(e.g if one is selected the sentence for one comes up etc)? if yes how?
ps I would appreciate if you showed an example!!!

yes its possible.
Option 1:
when displaying the ID's store the sentences in a hidden field , on selecting the ID copy the value from the matching hidden field to the textarea.
Option2:
When displaying the ID's store the sentences in hidden textareas and make those vissible /invisible on selecting the ID
Option3
On selecting the ID submit and filll the value for the textaera on the server and display it
Option4 use ajax to query the DB depending on the ID and to fill the Textarea with the result

How to set the filter on a report to show the data for the Current Month

Hi all,
I am working on a report, which currently has this filter: Date First Worked is greater than or equal to 10/01/2010. This reports show the data for the current month, so at the beginning of each month we have to remember to change the date on the filter.
Does anyone know what the criteria should say, so that it automatically changes and shows the information for the current month, without us having to go in and change anything?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

You need to add a session variable to date fir worked assuming that this is a date field.
To do this open up the filter on the field then at then press add Variable then "session" and enter the following CURRENT_MONTH into the Server Variable section.

System automatically truncating the data

hi Friends,
i am using jdeveloper 11.1.1.6.0.
i have created field called price it's length is Number(22,12) . whenever user is giving more than 22 digits system is truncating the 22 digit to fractional number.
ex:user input: 1234567980123456789012
system showing: 1.234567980123 .
is there any solution for the above problem.

1. Change in your vo query to fetch the price column once more time like price1
2. Change the type from number to string

Is there a way to have movies always show the date?

I am using Premiere Elements 10 to create home movies and burn them to blu-ray discs. I want all scenes to show the date the scene was shot in the lower right hand corner, at all times. Is there an easy way to do this automatically, or do I have to go to each clip and custom make a title? The dates are all placed in the exif info by the camera I am using. Thanks for any help!

I find that Column A in Numbers (List style) keeps showing the date. I don't want to show the date. I want this column to show just a number. How do I prevent this column from turning numbers I type in there as a date?

Hi I have developed the application in VC.
It is showing the data some times , it is not showing the data. Can u please let me know what is the problem.
when i checked using the Test Data service . It is showing the data. Then i have developed step by step, in between the time i use to run the application , it was showing the data. finally i have assigned to some role and user id. then also it is showing the data.
Next day after i run the application , it is not showing the data. displaying the message .
"No Data Found".
But when i run the BAPI at the back end R/3 it is giving the data properly.
Can u tell me what might be the problem

Hi Krishna,
check the logs in the NWA. It seems that your connection is broken down sometimes, maybe a timeout. How many records does your data service return?
Check it with external debugging of the BAPI, when you can reconstruct the error.

Import option is not showing the Data Source created using ODBC

Hi all,
I'm new to OBIEE, just installed OBIEE 10g in my system with the help of some reply from this Forum (thanks to Kalyan for this).
Now when I tried to create new rpd, the Import option is not showing the Data source I have created. I have created new Datasource in the SystemDSN tab of the ODBC Administrator window,I have tried this by creating the Datasource in the UserDNS tab as well.
Mine is Windows 7 Ultimate. The new data source which I have created through the ODBC Administrator window is to connect to SQL 2008 (I'm trying to get some table from SQL 2008 database), I don't have Oracle data base.
While creating the Data source ODBC Administrator is showing only two drives (SQL Server and SQL Server Native Client 10.0 ) , so I have created the Data source using the SQL Server Native Client 10.0 drive.
Can some one help me to understand the issue and to solve it.

How do I get pages 5.2 to automatically update the date - use 10.9.2

How do I get pages 5.2 to automatically update the date in my documents - before the update I could do this. Does anybody have the knowledge or a workaround.
If not I will dump pages 5.2 and use my old version!!! this feature is important for any and all businesses using pages??

What confuses me is that all the apple provided templates in pages seem to auto update their time and date upon opening.
So there MUST be a way to do it... Ive been unable to work out how...

for example, when i am attempting to make a 'all-day' appointment on october 2nd 2011, it automatically shifts it to october 1st.
but if i am doing a timed appointment for only a few hours, it will allow me to put it on that day.
i am trying to put in travel dates so any help on how to fix this, would be greatly appreciated.

Quit iCal, and try removing the com.apple.iCal.plist file from your Macintosh HD/Users/yourusername/Library/Preferences Folder. Since that Library is now hidden, you have to use the Finder>Go Menu>Depress the "Option" key>Library. Drag the .plist file to your desktop, and log out/in or restart and check iCal for functionality.
Also go to System Preferences...>Language & Text>Formats>Region: and set/re-set the appropriate "Region."

Client automatically cache the data got from cache server?

I have 2 questions about the client local cache. Would you please help to give me some suggestion？
1. Will client automatically locally cache the data got from cache server the first time and automatically update the data in local cache when getting the same data from cache server again? I go through the API reference but cannot find any API to query the data currently cached in the local cache.
2. If client will automatically cache the data got from cache server. Is there any way for a client to get the data event that happens to its local cache, such as entry created in local cache, entry deleted from local cache and entry updated in local cache? In my opinion, when getting an entry from cache server the first time, the MapListener's entry create event should be triggered. When getting the same entry again, the entry update event should be triggered.
However, I have tried a client with replicated cache, a client with partitioned cache, an extend client with remote cache and a client with local cache(front cache part of near cache), the client (the NamedCache object has been set the MapListener) cannot get any event notification after getting data from cache server. By the way, my listener is OK since when putting data the entry create event and entry update event will be triggered.

It might be that ContinuousQueryCache is closer to what you want. Hello!!!, I have Developer 9i (Forms and Reports), the OCJ4 and repserver90 are running, now, I attempt to run one report from Forms9i, and only it appears an empty page HTML. I don't understand why doesn't show the data of query?

the code does look good. maybe the Reports query does not produce an output. You can trace this ny adding a header on top of teh Reports (e.g. a date or just saying "Hello World"). So instead of an empty page this should now show the text strings. If you don't see the string then there is something else going on. Since you are not getting any error message I assume that the Reports itself executes fine.

How do I get it to show the date & time.

How do I get it to show the date & time at all times. I don't want to have to click on the day & time to get the date. In the OS 10.4 I could at least get it in the "analog" format. Under leopard it just show a little clock that can't be read.
I just want to see the time and date at all times in the upper corner on the screen

cvsSpecMapping is a resource and not a property so you should set the DataContext using the StaticResource markup extension instead of Binding:

Also, the Source property of a CollectionViewSource is supposed to be set to a collection:
