    Hello world !!
I'd like to have some informations about the support of NI automotive Diagnostic Command Set under LV-RT.
Is the API fully supported ?
Is there a plan in the roadmap to support these tools with cRIO CAN modules ?
    Thanks for your help.

    Hello Dirk,
I just have a new question, I think the response is YES, but I prefer to confirm my mind.
Could you confirm that the ADCS permits us to fully implement the UDS standard in our LV RT apllication ?

  • Automotive Diagnostic Command Set & kwp2000 Read/Write Memory By Address

I used NI Automotive Diagnostic Command Set 1.0 Read/Write EEPEOM By Address of ECU base VW TP2.0  KWP2000 diagnostic protocol . I used NI example ReadWrite Memory.vi but not successful. I know must use below step.
    Description
The usual procedure for getting a security access to the ECU is as follows:
Request a seed from the ECU using RequestSeed.vi with access mode = n.
From the seed, compute a key for the ECU on the host.
Send the key to the ECU using SendKey.vi with access mode = n + 1.
The security access is granted if the ECU validates the key sent. Otherwise, an error is returned.
Who has used NI Automotive Diagnostic Command Set 1.0 and know VW TP2.0 KWP2000 protocol. Please support some suggest and example VI.
    Thanks

I modify NI example Read/Write Memory lool at attached files.
Now I know how to calculate the key and successful. But sometimes ok and sometimes no ok. The best luck is pass three error.

  • What do the NI Automotive Diagnostic Command Set & ECU Measurement software packages really bring?

I am looking at doing some CAN programming for the J1939 and J1708/1587 protocols.  Would the NI Automotive Diagnostic Command Set & ECU Measurement software modules even be necessary?
What are the benefits of both modules?

Just for reference, look here for comments on the J1939 and J1708/1587 protocols.
The ECU Measurement and Calibration Toolkit provides a helpful API for interfacing and designing an ECU. In particular, it provides high-level, easy-to-use functions based on the Universal
Measurement and Calibration Protocol (XCP) and CAN Calibration Protocol
(CCP). A more detailed explanation of what is included and when it should be used can be found in Chapter 1 of the ECU Measurement and Calibration Toolkit User Manual.
    Automotive Diagnostic Command Set
From the overview section of the product page: "NI ADCS is suitable for a range of automotive diagnostic applications
that typically involve reading and writing parameters, accessing
diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs), flashing ECU firmware, and initiating
ECU diagnostic test modes... ADCS benefits applications such as ECU firmware flashing tools, DTC
reading and logging, ECU diagnostic mode interfacing, and live
diagnostic variable monitoring and logging for on-road tests."
    Hope this helps...

  • Automotive diagnostic command set

    Hello Everyone,
I started to use "Automotive Diagnostic Command Set" for LabView with NI USB CAN 8473 and I have a fundamental problem: I can not see the answers of the ECU.
The messages are properly sent and my ECU responds (see him with another tool that acts as a sniffer on the network), but are not able to review the responses of the ECU
    What I'm doing wrong?

  • Automotive diagnostic command set and periodic messages on same can port - CVI

    Hello everybody,
Is it possible, using Labwindows / CVI, to use NI AutomotiveDiagnostic Command Set to communicate with a MCU with KWP2000 protocol and simultaneously  send periodic CAN messages on the SAME CAN interface (CAN0 or else ) and also using this port port to do some CCP communication ?
    Thank for your support.

    Hi,
I find myself also in this position.  My current project only has LabVIEW 2009 and the ADCS from a few years back available to use.
We want to be able to:
     - read in a CANDB file (.dbc) into the Channel API, to send general CAN messages (note you cannot use the Frame API to read in the dbc files unfortunately)
     - using the same CAN interface, use the ADCS to perform diagnostics activities
Can you please elaborate on some of the hoops, and how long it might take?  If its too much of a hack, a third CAN port might be the easier option.
Any light shed would be appreciated.

  • Automotive diagnostic command toolset

Hi all! I am using LV 8.5.1 with the automotive diagnostic command toolset  (ADCT). I have a couple of questions. Is it possible to change the transmitting CAN ID during a communication with an ECU device? How could one implant this with ADCT?  In my case, I have to change the CAN ID, if my device is going to send a multi-frame message! (Changing from functional to physical addressing for the flow control frame)
Does  ADCT support flow control frames for ISO 15765-5?
How can I use ADCT when I have two ECU's? I can only specify one receiving CAN ID!
    Thx
    BiPa

    Hi,
The change of address IDs is not supported and actualy not mentioned within ISO 15765-2, which is implemented with our ADCS Toolkit.
It could be that I am missing something here. Could you send me some more details about what you would like to do. Please send me a EMail to [email protected]
For two ECUs you could just call the open diagnostics twice, but you have to use different Ids for both.

  • Interface with device driver (API or DLL files)

I want to make my C++ program interface with an instrument which has a device driver available at the OEM's website. It's a DLL file (not a .cpp file), but I don't know how to call DLL file from C++. I am using Measurement Studio for Visual C++ and Microsoft Visual C++ compiler. Do you have a C++ example code or tutorial about calling DLL (or API) from C++ ?

    Irene,
Measurement Studio is simply a plug-in for Visual Studio C++. Calling a DLL is general to C/C++. It usually amounts to #including the .h file that comes with the library, like this:
    #include "MyDLL.h"
I found the following website through Google, which is pretty thorough on calling DLLs:
    http://www.codeproject.com/dll/XDllPt1.asp
    I hope that helps.

  • I can't open some photoshop files it says "The command "Set" is not currently available."

What does this mean and how can I fix it? A corworker will make a photoshop file (Poster for example) and when i try to open it on my computer it wont open and says "The command “Set” is not currently available." What does this mean and how can I fix it? Thanks!

You are running some sort of automation when you open files - because that error message comes from automation (actions, scripts or plugins) that are trying to target something that isn't there.
Event Scripts was the obvious choice.
Automation plugins, or Flash Panels are the next most obvious -- try disabling all third party plugins and Flash Panels.
The error might come from Generator, if you have the latest Photoshop CC.

  • How do I set the default file path for the Place command?

I keep my graphics files for each document in a particular folder. Every time I open an existing InDesign document and place a new image I have to browse back to that location - even though all of the previous images in that document came from the same folder. InDesign does not remember the file path that was used previously in the document. This is very annoying.
IS THERE A WAY TO SET THE DEFAULT FILE PATH, OR LOCATION, FOR IMAGE FILES?
I have looked through the preferences, searched the forums and internet, but I have not found any reference to setting default paths. Is there a setting like the one in MS Word called "File Locations" on the Options toolbox?
    Thank you.

Since you're working in ID on Windows, you can take advantage of a neat trick in Windows. Copy the file path out of the File Explorer address bar and paste it directly into the Place filename field. That will jump you directly to the desired volume. For example, let's say I want to place a graphic located at X:\PS Jobs\May PS\709672bp\Working Source Files\Links. I copy that entire path from the File Explorer address bar, go to InDesign, select File|Place, and press Control + V to paste that path into the filename field. I press the Open button and Shazam! I'm there instantly, without a bunch of navigation.
You can do the same thing in the File|Save As and File|Export fields. Let's say you want export a PDF file from InDesign to the volume X:\PS Jobs\May PS\709672bp\Working PDF Files. First copy the desired file path from the File Explorer window. In InDesign, select File|Export, click anywhere in the filename field, and press the Home key to move the insertion point to the front of the filename. Press Control + V to paste that path in front of the filename, then add the backslash character (\). The filename will now look like this: X:\PS Jobs\May PS\709672bp\Working PDF Files\Filename.pdf. Press the Save button to bring up the Export Adobe PDF window. Select your desired PDF preset, press the Export button, and the PDF file will magically appear in the desired volume.
This sounds really complicated, but it's not. In practice, it only takes a few seconds. I probably save an hour's worth of needless navigation every day with this technique.

  • How to insert the new Servlet Api Class files?

    Hi,
I need to know how do I add the Servlet Api Class to my java directory
after i download it from the net? Thanks for your help in advance!

    niceguyme,
If you downloaded the J2EE 1.3.1 API and installed it to (for example) c:\j2ee131, then what you need to add to your class path is:
    c:\j2ee131\lib\j2ee.jar
I also add c:\j2ee131\lib\ejb10deployment.jar to the classpath, but it is not necessary.
there are several ways to add these to your classpath. It depends on what Operating System you are using. On windows 98 type OS, you can edit the autoexec.bat and add these directly to your already existing classpath. Windows NT,2000, and XP: you can add them to the system environment variables classpath. Hopefully you know how to do this on your machine. What I like to do on the windows machine is create a batch file that will start it from within a command prompt. I do this because there are times when I need to compile my code using different versions of the Java api. I am enclosing an example of one for J2se1.4.1 and j2ee1.3.1.
    contents of java141.bat

  • WebUtil DLL files location with OAS v10.1.2.3 with Sun Java 1.5

Question about the future Client (under MS Vista) which works with OAS.
With MS Vista on the client, the certified versions are:-
-Clientside: Sun Java 1.5_10 and above
-OAS: v10.1.2.3 (apparently to be released in March 2008)
    See table and notes at
    http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/forms/htdocs/10gr2/clientsod_forms10gr2.html
Our application uses Oracle Web Util 1.0.6.
When this first starts up the server attempts to copy three DLLs (jacob.dll JNIsharedstubs.dll d2kwut60.dll ) to a particular directory (eg c:\program files\oracle\J-Initiator 1.3.1.18\bin ).
This has been a problem for my company's infrastructure since that directory is not writeable for most end-users. We got round the problem by creating a script run just once by the end-user which placed the DLL files in position before application is first run. The application still tries so copy the files, and fails - but this does not matter.
In the MS Vista client envt we will have the Sun Java 1.5 client instead of the J-Initiator.
Is it clear into which directory those three DLL files will be placed with this new client-side setup?
    Thanks.

    Hello Jacob,
Oracle itself can fix the WebUtil issue with downloading DLLs to an appropriate location. However, there's more to running a Forms application on Vista - some of which Sun needs to find a solution for:
If Vista's User Account Control (UAC) feature is activated - which it is by default and which provides additional security compared to XP - Internet Explorer runs in protected mode, i.e. the iexplore.exe process is started with a LOW integrity level. In Vista every securable operating system "object" is assigned an integrity level - process, files, directories etc. each have an integrity level which can have the values low, normal / user, high / administrator or system. Every process started by a normal user will be assigned normal / user integrity level on process creation and thus is able to access all the files to which the user has access rights. The exception to the rule is Internet Explorer which is started with a low integrity level so if any malware / Javascript / IE extension takes control over Internet Explorer it cannot access any files or directories outside of its low integrity level "jail" because process with a lower integrity level aren't allowed to access any objects which have a higher integrity level. This means any program - including the Java plugin and any applet whether signed or not - which runs inside the iexplore.exe process cannot communicate with any process the user started (think about WebUtil's OLE2 to communicate with Office applications) and it cannot download any files to a user-specified directory (think of WebUtil's download features or even client_textio). Furthermore any processes you start e.g. through WebUtil's client_host command will inherit IE's low process integrity level and thus will not be able to do anything meaningful either. The same goes for your own DLLs which run within iexplore.exe.
Java 1.6 Update N will change the Java plugin architecture so that the Java runtime will execute in its own process with a normal / user integrity level and communicate with Internet Explorer via IPC instead of running within the internet explorer process. If you need more information look at the early access release of Update N:
    https://jdk6.dev.java.net/6uNea.html#Overview
I think it would help if you also opened an SR so Oracle support knows there are more customers waiting for a solution.
    Best regard
    Andreas

  • Problem registering CremePie.dll file

    Hi All,
I am working with signature capture in standard MAM. I am trying to run the standard signature capture functionality in PDA. I have deployed mamsignapplet.cab and
signaturecapture.cab files in side WEB-INF\signature folder.
In SAP Note 897289, I read that we need to register the some dll files in PDA, so that the browser will supports the applets in it.
Also in the same document it was mentioned like
For CrEme versions 3.25, 3.26 and 3.27a there is an acknowledged by NSICOM
bug as plug-in registration link contains wrong dll path for those
    versions. Copy/Paste both "Register/Unregister Plug-In" files from
\Windows\CrEme\Demos to your desktop with the help of ActiveSync, open both
dlls and change the existing line with the following
    \windows\regsvrce.exe \windows\creme\bin\CremePie.dll.
I have copied Register Plugin/Unregister Plugin files to my desktop and  tried to edit them. But they saved as shorcut and I could not edit them. I have checked the properties of that file. There file type is Shortcut and target is \windows\regsvrce.exe CremePie.dll.
Can any body please tell me how to edit this file or can we create this file.
    Regards
    Murthy

    Hi,
for that I use the software "total commander" from http://www.ghisler.com/ running directly on  the PDA. This gives me the ability to edit the file on the PDA.
Please see if REGSVRCE.EXE is available in your windows directory. Some verndors do not deliver that file, cause it is not supported as standard CE file. If this is the case, download the .NET SDK for CE. This installs the file on the PC in the WINCE500 directory - you can download it from there to the device then.
I hope this helps to solve the issue!
    Regards,
    Oliver
