Hi. In 2012 has there been any advancement that would alleviate us from adding a derived column simply for the purpose of mapping an existing var or param to an oledb output column?

According to your description, what you would like to do is directly mapping a variable or parameter to an Output column of a Data Flow Task control without adding a new column through the Derived Column transform. If so, this is not supported in SSIS 2012

It's "aspect ratio", not aspect "ration".
It's what determines whether you have square pixels ("normal") or, if rectangular pixels, what the aspect ratio (width : length) of that rectangle is.
It's explained in the Help files. I cannot go into more detail because you have neglected to provide information about your platform and exact version of Photoshop.

As I mentioned in the PM, I'm going to list an alternate tax solution here.
It involves using a single tax amount (the lower amount) on all products. That may not sound right, but with some additional steps it's not a bad solution.
Assuming you have two tax amounts, one at 7.5% and another at 9%, you assign all taxable products the lower tax amount.
Then you change the price of the higher taxed products by the difference in the percentage. (if the product was $1, then it is now $1.02) Part of why this works is because the increase is not so significant that customers would usually care.
Using the product attributes, you set up a dropdown list with the options, "tax1" and "tax2"
Each product, in a custom1 field is assigned its appropriate tax name (tax1 or tax2).
The dropdown list is hidden, so the customer doesn't know it's there
When a customer looks at a large product view, js automatically selects the appropriate attribute based on what is in the custom field.
Set up two reports, one for each tax group.
Filter them by attribute, so only the applicable products are shown in the report
Using very simple math (Total x 1.075 and Total x 1.09, depending on which report it is), the accountant will know exactly how much to pay in taxes for each tax type.
At first glance, this looks like a bad solution, but all that really matters is that the company is collecting and paying their taxes. Your client charges the lower amount so they are not overcharging taxes (kind of illegal). The slight price increase of the higher taxed products covers the rest and then some.

Derived Column : for Lookup type column with 'Allow Multiple Selection' : True in sharepoint list

I have one column where field type is Lookup but 'Allow Multiple Selection' is true in SharePoint List.
So, in this scenario data from the SharePoint list is being exported as below.
1;#Red;#3;#Blue;#4;#Black;#5;#Green
Now resultant text exported to SQL Table should be :
1,3,4,5
OR
Red,Blue,Black,Green
Either way it is fine. How can we get this using Derived Column and Data Conversion?
I am able to do this for single occurrence using below expression.
(DT_STR,100,1252)(SUBSTRING([BusinessUnit],FINDSTRING([BusinessUnit],"#",1)+1,LEN([BusinessUnit])-FINDSTRING([BusinessUnit],"#",1)))

Your best bet would be to do this in sql using a string parsing udf as below

Derived Column for "PATH"

I have a table with the first 3 colums below. Is there a way to generate the fourth column? I need to string together the location by date (asc). if the location does not change, then I do not string the data. There should be one path per ID. I have tried using window functions but can't seem to figure it out. I also cannot use P/SQL for this. It needs to be regular SQL. The following is sample data.

Condition types in SRM for mapping purposes with backend contracts

Hello,
We need to map condition types for the creation of a Backend contract on the basis of a accepted bid.
We use SRM 5.0 but our products do not have prices in their product master!
We use the catalog funcion to indicate the prices of the materials. for service-items we manually add the prices in the Shopping cart.
How can I find out what conditions types we use in these circumstances in SRM 5.0?
What condition type are we using in the case of materials?
What condition type are we using in the case of service-items?

You can map the condition type 01CT (gross price) in SRM with PB00 for Gross Price in contracts. Standard SRM generally work with simple pricing with gross price condition types and do not have complex conditions unless you customize it. For material or services, it should matter from condition perspective unless you have done some specific customization.

Make the present transaction VL06 for report purpose only

My client wants that the inquiry only vie wof transaction VL06/VL06o so that individuals who only need the reporting capability available in this transaction can get the reports they need without being able to access VL02N and other transactions such as LT03 and LT12.

Enter VL06 in field SHDTV-TCODE, ZVL06 in field SHDTV-TCVARIANT. Push 'create' and leave transaction VL06 (which pops up). In next popup 3rd button 'deactive menu function' is available. In addition, after saving the variant and re-entering in change mode, first button will give possiblity to deactivate functions.
I assume, authority for LT03,... will not be given - by transaction variants forbidden buttons are inactive (or disappear - haven't checked for this transaction).

OlapDataGrid for viewing purpose only

The thing is that we have a custom analyzer built already
which spits out data in a format . I thought it might be plain and
simple that i would just have to build a olapResult instance to
display my result but turns out i cant do that as i dont have
access to read-only properties of the olap result class which i
would like to modify..
I tried a workaround by implementing the IOlapResult
Interface in which i implemented the required methods.But even that
didnt work. says that the constructor for the new class is
undefined.. Anyways dont know if this would work.. I seriously hate
to introduce the whole metadata for the cube as it is not required
for me.
Any kind of help would be appreciated ..

I just tested from 2 other accounts and both tests were received by my @me.
I don't have a gmail to test from though.

I was trying to use the Matlabscripting VI, but it says it is for instructional purpose and not for research and the system is getting stuck.When I used it two days back it worked.Could U plz tell me what the problem is??

I have Labview 7.0 and Matlab 6.5 installed on all the computers at my School. When I tried to use the Matllab Scripting Window for the first time, it worked, but after two days when I was trying to run the program, there was a meesage saying that the License is for instructional Purpose only and not for Research or commercial use and the Labview is getting totally stuck. I need the Matlab Scripting VI for my Project,could anyone suggest what I shd do or is there any other method by which I could do that.

From the information you have provided, I am not sure what is causing your problem. Make sure that you do not have an evaluation license for LabVIEW.
What, if anything, was changed in your VI before it stopped working? Will it run without the Matlab script?
If you continue having trouble getting your VI to work, please respond with more information. If you like, you can post your VI (along with any necessary sub-VIs) and I will take a look at it.

Material variant characteristics for Information Purpose

we need to add some characteristics on the Material Variant for information purpose only. while calling the configurable material in the sales order.

You can have additional characteristic like usual characteristic and then exclude for variant matching. That way they wont be use for variant matching and will be separate.
You use report RCU_EXCL_CHARACTERISTICS to exclude characteristic from search.

Lightweight webserver for local testing only ?

Hi all
I use eclipse for web development and want to view my pages for local testing before uploading til www.
Are there any http servers available for this purpose only ? I've looked at the LAMP article in the wiki and I've tried XAMPP before, but it seems somewhat bloated if the only purpose is to see if my php-pages are correctly displayed :-/
And then there is the security issues!
Anyone have good experiences ?
I want to use:
- php
- MySql
- phpmyadmin
The best solution would be if eclipse has this setup built-in, but I can't seem to find a proper solution :-/

Well going on what I personally know works, I recommend apache.
But I've heard nothing but great things about lighttpd, and would definitely recommend looking into it as it's a much lighter solution.
As far as security goes, you should be fine if you take the proper precautions. And if you're only using it for local tests, you can use the hosts.allow and hosts.deny files in conjunction with apache/lighttpd configs and iptables to make sure only your local intranet can access the webserver.

Unable to find mapping Interface columns for Service Items in Sales Order

Hi All,
I have a requirement to create a service item for a Sales Order through Interface tables. Once the oe_headers_iface_all and oe_lines_iface_all tables are populated, order import program is run to populate the data into the base tables.
I am unable to figure out the interface mapping columns for the base table columns namely,
(oe_order_lines_all table)
service_ref_order_type
service_ref_order_numbe
service_ref_line_number
service_ref_shipment_number
Also, the above mentioned base table columns are mandatory and not able to create a Service item through Order import.
When checked in the front end, per record history these columns are taken from oe_order_lines_v, however when checked in the query of this view am unable to trace the above four columns.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

And if anything happens to any my iPads which I have not backed up, I can restore it from the iPad where I have save the Backup. If I understand correctly you'd like to save iCloud storage space by only backing up 1 of the 5 iPads to your account since they are all going to have very similar data and usage. You certainly can do that, but I do have to warn you that any unique data between them would be lost if you had to restore from that one backup made on another iPad so just keep that in mind. If you do need to restore in the future you can use this article to restore that iCloud backup:

Sam thats too generic there would be several ways to solve one problem ...
can u tell us what is ur source [i mean table view THE DATA which records tuples you suspect is having duplicates ]
on what basis u decide duplicate ? and what row qualifies to go into destination ... for eg say ur source is
select id,name, date from source_table
duplicacy could mean id and name being repeated multiple times and may be business rule is like pick up rec with latest date vale if thats the case go for source as :
select id, name,max(date) from sourcetable
group by id,name
if all the columns are repeating in your source table may be use DISTINCT ...
would be great if u give ur destination, source and business requirement ..
if you have got primary key violations and any record qualifies then may be simply at destination component set Ignore failure property and ur job is done ...
may be removing duplicate at source itself ... might solve ur problem
