i am having oracle9ids with jdeveloper(9.0.2.7) installed on windows2000. i want to create EJB Aplication,can any one guide me how to proceed for it. i have no idea about it?
thanks and regards

Are you trying to build a vanilla EJB or are you also building a web
service? It looks like you are using some of the webservice build tasks
(eg servicegen). Can you show me how you invoke the webservice build
task and with which options?

    any one suggest me, what are the external jars need to be include in eclipse to cretae the ejb applications.
    Thanx in advance.

    The javaee.jar from the Java EE SDK should be sufficient. Just add this jar to the installed JRE (Window - Preferences - Java - Installed JREs - Edit). You need at least the javax.ejb package.
    There is a dedicated subforum for EJB stuff by the way http://forum.java.sun.com/forum.jspa?forumID=13

    thank u in advance..

    Hi guys,
    If there is no one to help me with this so simple project then I will have to quit trying. I am getting to much pressure to get this done and I just don't know how to proceed anymore. I have found a document on OTN that explain the basics of binding but it's to vast and too complicated under pressure. If someone could help me to bind this LOV I would appreciate this so much and then I could relax a little and read all the good documents that I have found on OTN.
    This is my last chance.
    Thank you!

  • How to create the simple EJB Applications.

    Hi
    I have asked about the what are the necessary softwares required for creating the Simple EJB Applications.
    I have
    Jdk 1.6,
    Netbeans 5.5,
    J2EE5 ,
    Apache Tomcat 5.5
    what are other necessary softwares?please tell me From where i get the source code samples?
    Please Tell me it is necessary for me..

    Hi U,
    Tomcat is only JSP/Servlet container -- no EJB support.
    Easiest is to download the Netbeans 6.1 bundle including Glassfish and JavaDB, thats all you need + JDK and Java EE of course.
    Glassfish has both web/JSP/Servlet-container and EJB-container, so Tomcat is not needed then.
    ( If for some reason you really want to use Tomcat, you can use it together with OpenEJB for example, to add EJB-support. )

  • Calling a webservice from weblogic EJB Application

    Hello,
    I have a webservice running on IIS server. I created a simple java client program to call the webservice and it works fine. However, when I wrapped the same java client program as a EJB Application, I am unable to call the webservice.
    I get the following error:
    ####<Apr 3, 2007 1:59:30 AM CDT> <Info> <WebService> <CASEJBServer> <ExecuteThread: '24' for queue: 'weblogic.kernel.Default'> <<anonymous>> <> <BEA-220094> <An IOException was thrown trying to access the WSDL at the given URL.>
    And
    "java.io.FileNotFoundException: Response: '401: Unauthorized' for url: XXXXXX"
    Could you please give some simple steps as what are the JAR Files required to be included in the Weblogic Server's classpath to call the webservice.
    Thanks.

    To start off you need to make sure that your client api is in the classpath, either in your ejb or your ear or the server classpath.
    The other concern I would have is that it seems you are just not authorized to access the URL.
    - Does the WSDL require credentials? So in other words when you go to the URL are you allowed to access the WSDL without athenticating.
    - How does your Impl get created?
    MyServiceImpl service = new MyServiceImpl()
    If you are using the empty constructor then what is the wsdl endpoint in your jar file since that is the wsdl it will use. If the endpoint is localhost/xxx/xxx then you will have issues since that means your not deployed on localhost. What url is at the endpoint? Do you have access to the url from your server?
    If you are using "new MyServiceImpl(url);" then again is the wsdl locked down because in this case you will need to do somthing like http://username:[email protected]/xxx?wsdl
    Hope this helps.

  • Calling an EJB application in webdynpro

    Dear SDN's,
    I am trying to call an EJB application  from a webdynpro application and is succeded in storing values to database via Java Bean Model.
    I want to retrieve all records from table via EJB and all the records should be displayed in Webdynpro Table UI element.
    How can we do it?
    The problem here is, how to return a set of records to webdynpro from EJB via a javabean.
    I am not clear in using Collection Framework! i.e, which collection class i have to use to store the retrieved records.
    Your help will be appreciated.
    Regards,
    Sireesha.B

    Hi Sireesha,
    Instead of adding resultset, create a EMP cinstance and add it.
    Ex : Consider you have created a EMP class
    class EMP
      String empname;
       int id;
      public void setEmpname(String name);
      public String getEmpname();
    Now
    ResultSet rs=statement.executeQuery(select * from emp);
    Vector v=new Vector();
    while(rs.next)
    Emp e=new EMP()l
    e.setEmpName(rs.getString(0));
    e.setID(rs.getInt(1)));
    v.add(emp);
    Iterator i=v.iterator();
    while(i.hasNext())
    Emp e1=(EMP)i.next()l
    System.out.println(e1.getempName());
    System.out.println(e1.getID);

    Hi Vijay,
    Thanks for the Reply.
    Please provide the JAR Files i need to add.
    I had tried to consume the web service by using the java class in Java Project ie EJB.
    After creating the Project i will import the WSDL file in that Project and create the Client Application.
    The Request and Response java class is created by importing the WSDL file.
    The Client Java Class is created to access the Request and Response objects.
    After this Main class is created and I have run the application to execute the Client Java Class. During this time its shows some error.

  • How to run application client of an EJB application?

    Hi,
    My EJB application is deployed on websphere. I have written a small java client program to interact with an EJB which is working fine if I compile and run it in websphere studio environment.
    However I am getting runtime exception when I tried to run it at command line.
    RemoteConn.java
    import java.util.Hashtable;
    import com.deque.HelloJavaHome;
    import com.deque.HelloJava;
    import javax.naming.InitialContext;

    String greeting = "";

    //env.put(Context.INITIAL_CONTEXT_FACTORY, "com.ibm.websphere.naming.WsnInitialContextFactory");
    env.put(Context.INITIAL_CONTEXT_FACTORY, "com.ibm.ws.naming.util.WsnInitCtxFactory");
    env.put(Context.PROVIDER_URL, "iiop://localhost:2809");
    InitialContext initContext = new InitialContext(env);
    Object obj = initContext.lookup("ejb/HelloJavaHome");
    HelloJavaHome home = (HelloJavaHome) javax.rmi.PortableRemoteObject.narrow(obj, HelloJavaHome.class);
    HelloJava remote = home.create();
    greeting = remote.getGreeting(name);
    catch(Exception e){
    e.printStackTrace();
    System.out.println("Greeting::"+ greeting);
    I have set the application ejb client jar in the class path of client program.
    The exception I am getting at runtime is

    Initially I thought I shuold set some jar file of websphere in the classpath of client. But I did not find such a jar containing the above class in websphere studio.
    Basically the error is generated at the below statement at runtime.
    Object obj = initContext.lookup("ejb/HelloJavaHome");
    The only difference I discovered was that the client application has a descriptor file (application-client.xml ) available to it when it ran in websphere studio,. I guess the same META-INF should be provided to client when it runs at command line.
    Right now I am not using any client descriptor file to run the client program. If the above error is due to not supplying META-INF to the client application, how should I make this folder available to client at runtime?
    I greatly appreciate if I could get help ASAP.
    Thanks

    Hey got what is going on. In order to invoke EJB, deployed on WebSpehre App Server, from application client we need to install either WebSphere Application Pluggable Client or WebSphere Thin client on the workstation. Pluggable client is a wrapper to SUN JRE where as Thin Client uses IBM JRE.

  • Problem creating a EJB from third party into NWDS

    Hi everybody:
    I´m trying to create a EJB from a third party software (jar file). I imported the jar file into my EJB Module (Properties->Java Build Path->Library), selected the EJB candidate and wrote the ejb-jar.xml according to the vendor's instructions in order to define home and remote interfaces.
    When I deploy my application (containing the EJB Module), I got this error from the server:

    Hi Amol:
    Thanks for your answer, Let me explain a little more what I'm doing:
    The third party software is a jar file that contains three classes:
    com.account.AccountLocateSessionBean (Remote Interface)
    com.account.AccountLocateSessionBeanHome (Home Interface)
    com.account.AccountLocateBean (EJB class)
    This 3 classes are EJB 2.0 complaint and were tested in other J2EE container (Sun Open). I want to deploy this EJB into SAP Was J2EE 6.40 server (SP14). In my last post I wrote what I did in order to create de ejb-jar.xml into NWDS. This file looks like:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <!DOCTYPE ejb-jar PUBLIC "-//Sun Microsystems, Inc.//DTD Enterprise JavaBeans 2.0//EN"
                             "http://java.sun.com/dtd/ejb-jar_2_0.dtd">
    <ejb-jar>
        <description>EJB JAR description</description>
        <display-name>EJB JAR</display-name>
        <enterprise-beans>
            <session>
                <ejb-name>AccountLocateBean</ejb-name>
                <home>com.account.AccountLocateSessionBeanHome</home>
                <remote>com.account.AccountLocateSessionBean</remote>
                <ejb-class>com.account.AccountLocateBean</ejb-class>
                <session-type>Stateless</session-type>
                <transaction-type>Container</transaction-type>
            </session>
        </enterprise-beans>
    </ejb-jar>
    Then, when I build the ear file (This is a Enterprise application that contains my EJB Module) and try to deploy this ear file into SAP Was J2EE 6.40 server (SP14) I got the exception wrote in my last post.
    Thanks for your help

    Olivier
