B2B PositionalFlatFile Inbound Operation
B2B Experts,
I am working on a scenario with B2B in which i would be receiving the file through B2B (inbound operation).
The file is positional flat file, i have created the document guidelines (ecs) using the spec generator in oracle b2b editor
and generated the xsd from the ecs...now i have created the document definition in b2b console by selecting the PositionalFlatFile
document protocol and after selecting the protocol,version,type. for the document definition; i have given the xsd and ecs files
and in the identification tab;i have given the identification value as HDR, start position 1 and end position 3. In the listening channel
i have created a new listening channel and selected the Generic-file 1.0 as the message exchange protocol and gave the path in the folder name location.
And in the partners, i have created a new partner, created the agreement and deployed the same. Now when i drop the file name like NewPartner_12345.te, the file is getting picked up.
But the BPEL instance is not getting triggered.If i go to the report status, the state is MSG_COMPLETE.If i go to wire message, the state is COMPLETE. If i go to application message, it is showing the time details and all,
but the domain name, composite name, composite version, reference name, service name and resubmit count; these fields are empty. If the BPEL instance would have been triggered, these values would have been there. Why is my BPEL
instance not getting triggered ? Did i do anything wrong?
Please help me...
Thanks,
Naresh

How does B2B Adapter for Inbound operation for SOA Composite works
Hai,
I am new to B2B. can any one share samples or links or doc's on B2B Adapter for inbound operation (receive)?
Can any one share B2B inbound channel configuration ?1. How does the above can be achieved using JMS protocol?Where would you like to pitch-in JMS? You want to receive inbound message at B2B over JMS or between SOA and B2B, you want to use JMS?
For receiving inbound message at B2B over JMS, please create a non-internal listening channel at B2B. Make sure to set JMS headers -
http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E23943_01/user.1111/e10229/app_interface.htm#CACDFEAE
For using JMS between, SOA and B2B, create a JMS channel in Host TP profile and add it in the inbound agreement (for inbound scenario). For outbound scenario, create an internal listening channel and make sure that from back-end, headers mentioned on above link, are being set.
2. Will SOA Composite having B2B Adapter receive operation has first operation can get triggered automatically or not as soon as EDI----->XML message is found?Yes, it can be triggered. Provided the steps in your another thread.
3. will B2B Adapter receive operation in SOA Composite will take EDI--------> xml msg as opaque?No, if while modelling B2B adapter, you selected a doc-def otherwise yes.

Will B2B Adapter receive operation with default triggers the SOA Composite
Hi,
Can any one provide me answers to this questions?
*1. Will B2B Adapter receive operation having default protocol will trigger SOA Composite? if so how can we achieve it?*
*2. will Listening channel with JMS protocol do EDI------XML translation? if so what are the configuration that need to be done?*
*3. Will B2B Adapter receive operation listens messages from other protocols like File ,FTP ? if so what need to be done ?*1. Will B2B Adapter receive operation having default protocol will trigger SOA Composite? if so how can we achieve it?Yes, it can trigger SOA composite. First deploy the inbound B2B agreement with no channels selected under Host TP channels dropdown and then deploy your SOA composite which is referring to the deployed doc-def. Run an inbound test and you should be good to go.
2. will Listening channel with JMS protocol do EDI------XML translation? if so what are the configuration that need to be done?Yes, you may translate native EDI to XML with JMS listening channel as well. Make sure that listening channel is not marked as internal and an inbound EDI agreement is deployed for corresponding EDI doc. Following custom JMS headers must be set so that B2B can identify the partner -
FROM_PARTY
TO_PARTY
3. Will B2B Adapter receive operation listens messages from other protocols like File ,FTP ? if so what need to be done ?No. B2B adapter supports only three modes - JMS/AQ/Default (fabric), however you may use file/ftp adapter to receive files from B2B over file/ftp respectively.

Ftp Adapter Inbound operation not working
Hi All,
I'm running on SOA 11g on a Oracle Linux machine.
FtpAdapter is configured and works well for outbound operations (my test composite can put a file on a ftp location).
For inbound operation something is not working, my composite, a simple ftp adapter + bpel process, never start (no instances) .
I'm able to get the file using an ftp client (tested from the soa server machine too).
I just increased the server log and I can see the ftp communication but an exception is raised in socket operation after *FTP Adapter Project2 FTP Command: LIST, reply:[[*

SOAP version for B2B HTTP inbound message in SOA Suite 11.1.1.7
Is there a way to find out the SOAP version supported by B2B HTTP inbound message in SOA Suite 11.1.1.7? Has there been a upgrade of SOAP version to SOAP 1.2?
The reason behind this assumption is because we are facing following error when an external service posts an XML message enclosed in SOAP envelope (SOAP 1.1) to B2B Sync Receiver Servlet:
Mime Header Content-Type: text/xml requires SOAP envelope namespace
Since SOAP headers are already added in the message we are not expecing to face such issue. As per my understanding this issue maybe seen when there is a SOAP version mismatch.
Moreover, this issue is not seen when this external service posts the same SOAP message to B2B Sync Receiver of SOA suite 11.1.1.6.
Any help would be highly appreciated.
Thanks,I resolved the issue by myself, The connection factory which I was referring was duplicated. Hence messages were not dequeueing.
I would be able to found the issues by creating a similar test case scenario.
Cheers,
B -
Hello All,
I was trying the B2B Custom Inbound .... i am keeping a file in a folder..that file i want my trading partner NewPartner to pick up and send that to host MyCompany and i am using B2B adapter in my BPEL composite to receive the file and do some business logic. Now, the file is picked up, but is not getting to the composite...i mean no instances for my composite in EM. when i go to the reports tab in B2B console, it says agreement not found....
The configuration I did in administration/Documents
I defined Custom--->1.0---->PurchaseOrder----->PurchaseOrderDef
And in the PurchaseOrder (Document Type) tab, in the ebMS Section, i have filled the following values...
Action Name : PurchaseOrder
Service Name : PurchaseOrder
From Role : NewPartner
To Role : MyCompany
And in the definition tab, i have given the following values...
xsd : Custom_PurchaseOrder.xsd
Identification xpath expression : /*[local-name()='PurchaseOrder']
In the listening channel of administration...
i have created a channel with generic file 1.0 protocol...
folder name: C:\Users\sunny\Desktop\B2BCustom
file name format : NewPartner_12345.dat
I haven't created any other channels for NewPartner and MyCompany Specifically....
I have created an agreement for NewPartner , selected the document definition...and deployed the code..
Now, when i keep the sample file NewPartner_12345.xml in the folder, it is getting picked up...but my composite is not receiving the file...
In B2B console, in the reports tab...the error message says like below...
Machine Info: Description: Agreement not found for trading partners: FromTP null, ToTP MyCompany with document type PurchaseOrder-1.0-INBOUND.
Error Level ERROR_LEVEL_COLLABORATION
Error Severity ERROR
Error Text Agreement not found for trading partners: FromTP null, ToTP MyCompany with document type PurchaseOrder-1.0-INBOUND
Please help me fix this...
Thanks a lot in advance...Please post all B2B related questions in Oracle B2B forum -
Integration - B2B
Text Agreement not found for trading partners: FromTP null, ToTP MyCompany with document type PurchaseOrder-1.0-INBOUNDMake sure that your remote TP's name is exactly what you are providing as part of file name - "NewPartner". You should also be able to see the name in the agreement you created.

Custom Adapter for Inbound Operations never invoked
Hi,
I created a custom J2CA Resource Adapter for Inbound operations. I implemented javax.resource.spi.ResourceAdapter interface with all required methods - start(BootstrapContext), endpointActivation(MessageEndpointFactory, ActivationSpec), etc.
I created the appropriate WSDL file according Adapter Development Cookbook. Below is an excerpt from it:
<definitions targetNamespace="urn:Adapter" .......>
<message name="Notification">
<part name="Notification_Part" element="ns1:Svc"/>
</message>
<message name="Header">
<part name="Header_Part" element="ServiceHeader"/>
</message>
<portType name="EventsQueue_ptt">
<operation name="Dequeue">
<input message="tns:Notification"/>
</operation>
</portType>
<binding name="NotificationService" type="tns:EventsQueue_ptt">
<jca:binding/>
<operation name="Dequeue">
<jca:operation ActivationSpec="acme.ActivationSpec"/>
<input>
<jca:header message="tns:Header" part="Header_Part"/>
</input>
</operation>
</binding>
<service name="EventsQueue">
<port name="EventsQueue_pt" binding="tns:NotificationService">
<jca:address ResourceAdapter="acme.AdapterClass"/>
</port>
</service>
</definitions>I created a BPEL process with a partner link based on this WSDL and linked a Receive activity with it. According Adapter Concepts Guide here is what should happen when the BPEL process is deployed and started:
- The ResourceAdapter class name and the ActivationSpec parameter are captured in the WSDL extension section of the J2CA inbound interaction WSDL Adapter Integration with BPEL Process Manager Adapter Integration with Oracle Application Server Components 5-7 during design time and made available to BPEL Process Manager and Adapter Framework during run time.
- An instance of the J2CA 1.5 ResourceAdapter class is created and the Start method of the J2CA ResourceAdapter class is called.
- Each inbound interaction operation referenced by the BPEL Process Manager processes results in invoking the EndPointActivation method of the J2CA 1.5 ResourceAdapter instance. Adapter Framework creates the ActivationSpec class (Java Bean) based on the ActivationSpec details present in the WSDL extension section of the J2CA inbound interaction and activates the endpoint of the J2CA 1.5 resource adapter.
The problem is that start(BootstrapContext) and endpointActivation(MessageEndpointFactory, ActivationSpec) seem never to be invoked, the adapter is never initialized and at some point the Receive activity of the BPEL process times-out.
I put some debug System.out.println statements in these methods, but nothing appeared in the server log.
I'm using Oracle SOA Suite 10.1.3.1.
I will be grateful for any suggestions.
Regards,
Simeon

Hi,
I have written a custom connector for crud operations to a table in Oracle DB. The custom code class uses oracle.jdbc.OracleDriver which is present in ojdbc14.jar. I have placed this jar in ThirdParty folder of the OIM installation but I am still getting an SQLException while connecting to the DB as my custom code is unable to find the required class. Can someone guide me to some documentation that will help me get over this?
Thanks,
SaieshWhich version of OIM you are in? Also you dont need to copy ojdbc14.jar as this exists already in OIM. -
Re: B2B Customer Protocol Inbound Operation
Hi All,
It was a very good discussion. I am also facing the same problem.
B2B-50029: B2B runtime error: oracle.xml.parser.v2.XMLParseException: Start of root element expected.
So, I do need to change the ecs file in order to get problem resolved. Is it correct?
Thanks
Abhas KushwahaHello,
Just a thought, When I had the similar problem, it appeared to be a BOM (Byte order mark - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia) in the xml file, which is the very first character in the xml file, so the file was not identified to be a valid xml file. Removing the BOM from the xml file fixed my problem, however, I did not spend much time in fixing using B2B, the vendor (sender of the file) fixed the file and started sending without BOM. So my work was easier.
The character is not visible in all XML editors, however, it was visible in JDeveloper. I used a tool to identify and remove during testing until the vendor fixed the file, the tool is called file bom detector,http://www.bryntyounce.com/filebomdetector.htm
Hope this helps,
Thanks,

On another PC I can access the same system/SWC and I am able to create an action and select an interface of type
Operation. So the system seems to be allright. Does anyone know this error and can tell me how to fix it?
I just figured out, that it must have to do with my user. Another colleague could log on on my PC and is able to create
an action. So Java WebStart or other generic problems are not relevant. But I have all roles in ABAP like him.
I also created actions in this SWC some months ago.

Edited by: Christian Riekenberg on Jul 15, 2010 4:11 PMHi,
which Java version have you on this PC ?
because if version is too recent... then in PI we have bad behaviour like some buttons are no more available, and perhaps we have also your problem.
to know your Java version, open the windows configuration console, then choose "Java". In the openned application, in tab "Java" click on the second display button. In my case, I have a JRE 1.5....
If you have 1.6, it's not good, I suggest you to just deactive it in this same tool (there is a checkbox).

Hello B2B Gurus,
I am able to process B2B inbound files successfully from Trading Partner --> B2B --> BPEL. When it comes to BPEL i am not able to parse/transform the received XML as i am getting selection failures in assign and empty nodes in transformation. When i look at the input XML payload which i received in ReceiveB2BConsume Payload i observed that i am getting namespace as " xmlns="NS_495C37A0921C418BB66A86A6E75B2CA120070312140549" instead of actual namespace xmlns="urn:oracle:b2b:X12/V4010/856" which is in my XSD as well and i am getting the XML start tag <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?> 2 times. :
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?>
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?>
<Transaction-856 xmlns="NS_495C37A0921C418BB66A86A6E75B2CA120070312140549" mlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" XDataVersion="1.0" Standard="X12" Version="V4010" CreatedDate="2013-08-21T16:33:57" CreatedBy="XEngine_2956" GUID="{00C28978-0AA1-11E3-88B9-80C16E7DC6DA}">
<Internal-Properties>
</Transaction-856>
I went back and checked the XSD which i loaded in the B2B Console and i am having the following namespace
"<xsd:schema xmlns="urn:oracle:b2b:X12/V4010/856" targetNamespace="urn:oracle:b2b:X12/V4010/856" xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" version="1.0" elementFormDefault="qualified">"
I am not sure why the XML translated from EDI in B2B console has the different namespace and XML start tag 2 times. Can you please help me resolve the issue. Let me know if i am missing anything.
Thanks in Advance..Hi,
Please set property as b2b.setDynamicNameSpace=false.
To use EDI ecs and xsd files from Oracle B2B 10g version, set this property to true.
When using EDI ecs and xsd files in Oracle B2B 11g which were used in Oracle B2B 10g, the XEngine may generate dynamic namespace for the translated xml. For example,
xmlns="NS_31CA8D0F33324F95A0BF15D85539C27E20060518215520"
To turn off dynamic namespace generation for inbound EDI messages, set this property to false.
Thanks

Trap and notify errors in B2B adapter inbound
How do we trap and notify IT admin staff when there are ecs spec validation or other errors in the inbound messages (such as in cases where outbound 997 shows rejection of the incoming message) ?
ThanksFirst of all let me point you to the right forum for B2B related queries -
Integration - B2B
In Oracle B2B, the exception/error message is enqueued to IP_IN_QUEUE and has the recipient name b2berroruser. The enqueued exception is based on ipException.xsd and contains information such as the error message (errorText has a short description and errorDescription has a longer description) and the error code.
You may develope a listener process (perhaps a BPEL process) which polls for messages in IP_IN_QUEUE having recipient name b2berroruser. Then you perform desired notification processing (SMS/MAIL/FAX etc.) in that process.
To know more about exception handling in Oracle B2B and the structure of ipException.xsd, please refer -

We welcome any queries related to Oracle B2B in Oracle B2B forum (link posted above)

Can the WCF-OracleDB adapter generate 'nill' attribute for DBNull result on inbound operation?
When a result set is returned using a REF CURSOR, DBNull values are omitted from the XML. Is it possible to change that behavior to write the element as 'nil'?

Unable to transform EDI document to XML payload in Oracle B2B inbound op
Hi,
In our current project we would be implementing Oracle B2B.So I am doing simple POC on Oracle B2B inbound operation for a EDI document for a project requirement.Facing issue if Transformation option selected in Oracle B2B console. Would really appreciate if you guys give me some pointer..
Below is short desacription of POC:
1) Created ECS file for Purchase Order(EDI_X12 Standard, 850, Version : 4010) in Spec Builder 6.6.0
2) Created corresponding XSD and dummy test EDI data file(.dat) in Spec Builder 6.6.0
3) In Oracle B2B Console, created Document Type and Document Definition
4) Created 2 Trading Partners : Our Organisation(Host) and MyPartner(Remote)
5) My Partner is Sender and Our Organisation is Receiver
6) Linked Document Type to both Trading Partners
7) Created a Listening Channel
8) Protocol of Listening Channel is Generic File
9) Mentioned Folder Path and File Type : %From PARTY%_%TO PARTY%_%DOCUMENT TYPE NAME_%DOCUMENT REVISION%.dat
10) Agrrement validated and deployed
11)Checked option Transformation for Agreement
12) In SOA Composite created a simple Asynchronous BPEL process
13) BPEL process using a B2B Adapter is subscribed to Document Type(Purchase Order) operatioon Receive and Mode Default
14) Using a simple Assiign activity to map payload
15) BPEL then inoke a File Adapter service to write sme XML payload(picked from B2B fatre EDI transformed to XML) to a file
Issue Faced:
1) B2B could make oput Sender and Receiver Trading Partners
2) B2B could make out the Agrrement
3) B2B is picking up EDI file
4) If Agreemnet has Transformation option selected, then B2B is givinng below Error:
[oracle.soa.b2b.engine] [tid: weblogic.work.j2ee.J2EEWorkManager$WorkWithListener@182461f] [userId: <anonymous>] [ecid: 0000JILzvC2E0Va_xLp2iW1EzqZ_0000pg,0] [APP: soa-infra] [dcid: 162dbcacafdb4641:19e705e4:13495b34174:-7fd3-0000000000000070] java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: com.edifecs.xengine.xeobjects.XEHelper.createN2XNative()Lcom/edifecs/xengine/xeobjects/XEDataProc
at com.edifecs.xengine.xeobjects.XEHelper.createN2XNative(Native Method)
5) It is unable to transfer EDI payload to XML
6) Checked payload in Wire Message : still showing EDI payload
7) Due to this BPEL is facing issue since it is expecting XML payload
8) In BPEL it is givimng Error: Index Out Of bound.. I guess may be due to EDI payload
9) If transformation option unchecked in Agreement in B2B console then B2B working good but BPEl failing
Options Tried:
1) I Exported Repository,then purged design time data and Reimported and restarted Server and tested..not working
2) I also created a Parser Scehma for Blank EDI document(that option I found in Spec Builder 6.6.0==>New Document-->Parser Schema(Blank EDI Document) and then placed that Parser Schema file(ECS file) in folder :
C:\Oracle\Middleware\Weblogic\Oracle_SOA1\soa\thirdparty\edifecs\XEngine\config\schema
and added an entry in XERegistry.xml
<Item Name="SchemaFile">${XERoot}/config/schema/Spec2</Item>
but not working..
3) Checked namespace in XSd and WSDl for BPEL,they are correct
Getting no clue how to resolve..Need help...
Thank you...Log File :(Weblogic JDK pointing to 32 bit)

Error in getting content of edi 834 file - B2B inbound
Hello B2B Guru,
I am frustrated about this error. It seems so straightforward but just not working.
B2B 834 inbound file is processed successfully. After that, SOA BEPL need to post-process the 834 xml file generated by B2B. I need to check the 834 xml content to determine what to do next. The 834 xml is populate in Receive1_Consume_Message_InputVariable payload correctly. But I just can't get the following "assign" work. It is empty. I got selection exception.
<assign name="Assign1">
<copy>
<from>$Receive1_Consume_Message_InputVariable.body/ns4:Loop-1000A/ns4:Segment-N1/ns4:Element-67</from>
<to>$g_test</to>
</copy>
</assign>
I guess may namespace matters, but I can't figure out. Is there anyone have similar experience?
Thank you very much in advance,
AlenaHi Anuj,
Thank you very much for your help. Yes, it is the name space issue. I have changed xsd name space due to name convention but didn't update B2B configuration. So what I need to do is to update B2B document definition with the same xsd in SOA, right?
Your ongoing support has been dramatically affected our development phase. Appreciated.

Error Handling in B2B Composites
Hi B2B Experts,
I have a composite in which i do a B2B Inbound Operation. I receive a custom PFF protocol Remittance file from one Business Partner. After i get the file, i will be creating receipts for the invoices i get in the file. My file has one header, many details and one trailer. The file has like around 800 details. So, i need to follow the same business logic for all the details may be looping them inside the while activity. So, can one BPEL instance handle like 1000 iterations of the while loop and how should i handle the errors inside the BPEL. Like let's say if something was not processed successfully for any of the detail record. I can write fault policies, keep catch and catchAll's, send emails as required. Please help me with the correct approach.
Thanks,
NareshI would suggest you put while activity in a scope and catch expected fault [ say remote fault ] in it
write your policy to retry the activity in the while in case it fails . you can give retryCount and retryDelay
in case after all retries your while activity fails and throws a fault then catch this fault in main scope
Use email activity here to send out notification
