Back or Next screen in different fx files.

I would like to build a simple application where a button to go for Next screen and back for Main screen.
First, the screens must be separated in different .fx files, for example Main.fx Second.fx. Then Main screen contains a button to go for the Second screen. Second screen contains a button to return for the Mains screen.
Main screen contains a simple text just to identify current screen, the same happens in Second screen, but the text should be "Second" or something else.
Is it possible?
Thanks,
André Rezende

Well, if I google javafx scene switch I can see a number of examples.
But since that's something I haven't tried yet, I just coded a little example of my own. Not exactly what you asked (all test code was on same file) but it is easy enough to adapt to your requirements.
function BaseSceneGenerator(): Scene
  return Scene
    width: 800
    height: 400
    fill: Color.LAVENDER
    content:
      VBox
        translateX: 50
        translateY: 50
        spacing: 50
        content:
function AddToScene(scene: Scene, node: Node): Void
  var container = scene.content[0] as Container;
  insert node into container.content;
var stage = Stage
     title: "Forum Test"
  scene: BaseSceneGenerator()
var scene1 = BaseSceneGenerator();
var scene2 = BaseSceneGenerator();
scene2.fill = Color.IVORY;
AddToScene(scene1,
  Text
    content: "This is the first scene.\nWelcome!"
    font: Font { name: "Arial Black", size: 48 }
    fill: Color.ORANGE
AddToScene(scene1,
  Button
    text: "Continue >>"
    action: function (): Void
      stage.scene = scene2;
    layoutInfo: LayoutInfo { hpos: HPos.RIGHT }
AddToScene(scene2,
  Text
    content: "Continuation\nof the tour"
    font: Font { name: "Arial Black", size: 72 }
    fill: Color.PURPLE
AddToScene(scene2,
  Button
    text: "<< Back"
    action: function (): Void
      stage.scene = scene1;
    layoutInfo: LayoutInfo { hpos: HPos.RIGHT }
stage.scene = scene1;Would be better to have the buttons exactly at the same stage position, but it is just a quick demo.

  • How do I position the back and next buttons in a full screen lightbox

    I'm working on a portfolio website, and it has five sections (each section is 1440px wide).  I am trying to put in a full screen lightbox for some images.  When I adjust the settings for the lightbox, I am just keeping the Back and Next buttons.  However, when I put the buttons in one place, they either appear in a different position in the browser, or just don't appear at all.  Maybe there's a technique I am missing with regards to putting the buttons in a place most computer browsers will be able to find it.  (Pictures of the problem are below, and they use the sample pictures for the slideshow, but it doesn't make a difference what pictures are in there.
    Muse document.  The arrows are pink and can be seen on the left and right sides.
    Web Browser Preview.  No arrows, even though they're in the Muse document.

    I see that you are using a long page with slideshow in lower section of the page. Navigation arrows are placed around 3200 , so when you will scroll the page down you can view the next and previous buttons.
    Try to change navigation arrows and then check.

    Reinstall OS X:
    Reinstall OS X without erasing the drive
    Do the following:
    1. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions
    Boot from your Snow Leopard Installer disc. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button. When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list.  In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive.  If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the installer.
    If DU reports errors it cannot fix, then you will need Disk Warrior and/or Tech Tool Pro to repair the drive. If you don't have either of them or if neither of them can fix the drive, then you will need to reformat the drive and reinstall OS X.
    2. Reinstall Snow Leopard
    If the drive is OK then quit DU and return to the installer.  Proceed with reinstalling OS X.  Note that the Snow Leopard installer will not erase your drive or disturb your files.  After installing a fresh copy of OS X the installer will move your Home folder, third-party applications, support items, and network preferences into the newly installed system.

    Reinstalling Lion Without Erasing the Drive
    Boot to the Recovery HD: Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
    Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions: Upon startup select Disk Utility from the main menu. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions as follows.
    When the recovery menu appears select Disk Utility. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list.  In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive.  If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the main menu.
    Reinstall Lion: Select Reinstall Lion and click on the Continue button.
    Note: You can also re-download the Lion installer by opening the App Store application. Hold down the OPTION key and click on the Purchases icon in the toolbar. You should now see an active Install button to the right of your Lion purchase entry. There are situations in which this will not work. For example, if you are already booted into the Lion you originally purchased with your Apple ID or if an instance of the Lion installer is located anywhere on your computer.

    I want to sync two different video files to a high quality audio file and create a split screen from there in Final Cut Pro X. Help please?

    I'm following along at home, Tom, trying to make sense out of your instructions. (Editorially: This kind of operation is among the reasons I thoroughly loathe FCPX.) This would have been easy in FCP7. Perhaps it's actually the same amount of work (you are describing operations in FCPX I have not bothered to try yet—too scared) but it's far more direct the old way: Find sync points for all three files, stack them up in a timeline, nudge till precisely matched, apply effects.
    But I'm glad you're here to help us through this stuff!

    Did you move any system files? It's looking for the system folder. You can startup from the system CD by inserting the CD and restarting the computer and at the same time hold down the C key. The computer will boot from the CD. At that point run the disk utility and check your hard-drive. It the problem persists then do a fresh clean install of the system folder and that should help you get back on track.
    Good Luck.

    Jerricayoung,
    you have a 13-inch Mid 2012 MacBook Pro. It’s modern enough that it supports booting into Recovery mode. To do so, hold down a Command key and the R key as you start up. It should eventually show a Mac OS X Utilities menu. Select Disk Utility from that menu; when the Disk Utility window appears, select the bootable volume from the left-hand side of the window. (It’s typically called “Macintosh HD”.) When the volume is selected, some buttons will appear on the right-hand side. If it’s not greyed out, press the Verify Disk button; if it is greyed out, or if it reports on errors that it found, press the Repair Disk button. Once the verification/repair is completed, exit Disk Utility and select Restart from the Apple menu; that will restart your MacBook Pro in its normal mode. With luck, that will be enough to get you to your normal login screen, rather than the white screen.

  • In website, Firefox will not go to the next screen. Instead I have to click 'allow'. This is on sites where I never had this problem. I want it back to the way it was.

    On sites that I have been using for many months with no problem, when I click to go to the next screen (like 'continue'), it doesn't go to the screen. I get a bar and have to click 'Allow'. This is happening continuously on screens where it didn't do it before. If it were occasional I wouldn't mind. But it happens all the time. What was changed in Firefox to cause this problem. It has really been a pain paying bills online.

    What is the message to the left of the Allow button? Hopefully with that information we can advise on changes to your settings to resolve the issue.
    You also could supply a URL of a site that has this problem, assuming we don't need an account to check it out.

  • How can I specify a different css file for mobile browsers?

    I'm experimenting with updating our website to be "mobile friendly". I could use some help.
    We use a lot of static HTML landing pages for things like links from email ads, etc. What I'm trying to do is have 1 landing page so the content/html page is always the same, but the page will detect what browser/device you are using and then load a different css file depending on what it is. But, we don't want to have to load the style info from the PC version if you're not on a PC.
    What I'm doing now is specifying the media type in the css link, like this..
    <link rel="stylesheet" href="style.css" type="text/css">
    <link rel="stylesheet" media="only screen and (max-device-width: 480px)" href="mobile.css" type="text/css">
    What's happening is it's loading the main stylesheet first, and then the 2nd one changes some styles if you're on a device with a max width of 480 pixels (like an iPhone). But since it's loading the PC styles first, it's making some things look screwy.
    So, is there a way to say "If you're on a PC, load this stylesheet. If you're on an iPhone, load this one instead." .. without javascript? I don't trust javascript too much on mobile devices. I feel like this some simple little thing that I'm missing that will make it all automagically work.
    We don't want to have different content depending on the browser, just different stylesheets. Can anyone help?

    Hi
    Would it be better to do 2 different stylesheets, or just one big one and add a section at the bottom like:
    @media only screen and (max-device-width: 480px) {   .styles {whatever: styles;} }
    2 separate style sheets are recommended. The reason for this is that the Safari mobile browser, (as used in iPhone etc) will download any/all images specified in a style sheet even if they are not used or specified in a media-query rule, this is a know bug with that browser.
    I'm also having a new issue where the style "clear: both;" doesn't seem
    to be working right. I set up my top horizontal menu using float: left,
    and there's a lot of links so on the smaller screen it wraps, which is
    fine but now the wrapped links are floating over the page content...
    This is one of the reasons that floats should not be used in style sheets for mobile devices, the only exception I know of is for small typographical feature such as 'pull-quotes', (and never use float: right;). It is also recommended to include a menu at the bottom of the page, (or at least a link back to the top).
    It works, if I have the iPhone as portrait it looks great, but if I turn
    it to landscape, everything is zoomed in. But if I switch back to
    portrait, everything is the right size. Is there any kind of way to get
    the landscape to have the normal zoom level? I know I can do
    "initial-scale=1.0", but that is just for when the page loads, not if
    you change it afterwards...
    I have heard of only one recommendation to fix this and that is a page refresh on resize, but due to bandwidth limits now being implemented by many providers it is probably not a good idea, you could try setting -
    maximum-scale = 1.0
    as well.

  • Mac on Snow Leopard keeps looping back to login screen

    Hi, Everyone,
    I have a MacBook, late 2008 It originally had 120 GB hard drive. Because I had less than 10 GB of space left, I replaced that with a 320 Western Digital Scorpio Blue HD (by myself, with an antistatic strap, etc). Everything seemed fine for a few days. Lots of space, immediate responsiveness with programmes, etc....nothing could be better. Then the system started getting sluggish, and I started getting spinning beach ball clicking between apps. Every time I ran verify disk permissions, there was a long list of permission repairs. Running repair disk never yielded a result other than everything being okay. I even created a flashdrive with the installation software. And I ran Onyx to try to clean things out.
    Then a few days ago, after restarting my computer (I may have done an update, but am not sure), my computer slowly booted up, came to the login screen, I entered my password, my desktop appeared and it "hung" for about 30 seconds, then the screen turned blue and went back to login screen. I made several attempts to login, but always got the same result.
    I used my bootable flashdrive (which I created with SuperDuper to contain the installation disk before I installed the new hard drive) to check and repair permissions. Each time I did that, I got the same permission errors. Again, nothing detected with disk verification/repair.
    When I start up the computer in safe mode, everything is fine except Safari kept crashing.
    Deleted and reinstalled safari to no avail. Still crashed. No problem in Firefox.
    In the regular mode (not safe mode), I reinstalled Flash, restarted, then back to the looping to the login screen.
    Still no problems in safe mode.
    At first I thought there would have been something with the new hard drive, but everything works fine in Safe Mode, so I'm wondering if there is something with Safari or Flash.
    I've updated ClamX and run a ClamX scan as well to check for viruses/Trojans.
    Please help.
    Help!

    Monique Mayer wrote:
    Okay, I reinstalled Safari under another admin account. No problems there, and --so far--no problems in my main account now.
    What has happened is this.
    You installed a new hard drive, it came from the factory with some bad sectors on the drive.
    You laid your new OS X and data over these bad sectors and now having issues in various locations.
    The drive automatically maps off these bad sectors when it gets a read request from something your using, however it takes some time before it realizes such is the case, (thus the spinning beach ball as OS X is waiting) then it moves the data to a new sector and maps off the old one.
    Also as you use the computer, your writing data to new bad sectors on the drive, which haven't had their turn yet enough to be read and hopefully mapped off by the drive.  This is why your problem appears to be changing as it goes on.
    Look at your problem timeline:
    Then the system started getting sluggish, and I started getting spinning beach ball clicking between apps.
    This is likely a problem with the swap file which is stored on the hard drive when you run out of RAM memory with a lot of programs and files open.
    The swap file was stored across bad sectors, which the drive couldn't read well and thus you got the OS X spinning beach ball effect.
    This file location moves locations to free space on the drive, expands and contracts as you load things up to use.
    You  have done a update, which added more data to the drive and/or triggered a response from OS X data written on a bad sector which has hung your computer.
    When I start up the computer in safe mode, everything is fine except Safari kept crashing.
    Safe Mode disables  at boot software, video and other things so OS X is in a reduced state, the bad sectors are being avoided as their data is not being called.
    Safari is crashing because it too is corrupted, which your later post you reinstalled it and now it's fine, because it was written to a clear space on the drive without bad sectors issues.
    So your going about a "piece meal" restore method, next will be OS X, then all your programs, then a new user account because your User/Library will get screwed up etc., etc.
    Instead of this long pain, just follow my first post instructions and it will cure everything in one clean shot
    If the drive itself is bad and that's causing your bad sector problems, which you will soon find out and can get it replaced. The way your going it's going to keep giving you problems of various sorts for quite some time.
    I also tried the SMART check and it passed--no errors or bad sectors.
    That only provides a current bad sector count, which you say is zero, which is typical for a new drive as it hasn't read enough from the drive to find the bad sectors yet.
    In order to really find bad sectors on the drive, software would have to continously read data written to the entire drive over and over and over again so the drive will finally "trigger" the mapping off process. This would take days or even weeks to complete on large drive, so obviously the software isn't doing this.
    All drives come with a few bad sectors, the automatic mapping off process upon reads usually takes care of it, however you have more bad sectors than normal, which might have occured:
    1: Higher than normal amount of bad sectors from the factory.
    1: Bad drive from the factory causing bad sectors.
    2: Your moving the computer while the drive is in operation that the heads struck the platters causing the bad sectors.
    So a Zero Erase in Disk Utility, a fresh OS X install from the disk, fresh programs from original sources and vetted files from backup is the sure means to cure the whole mess. Bad sectors and data corruption.
    The DU Zero Erase proceedure does a pretty adequate job mapping off failing sectors, it takes hours to complete and not days.
    Bad sectors causes data corruption, so you really can't trust a previous clone or TimeMachine backup of this corrupted data to restore with (except vetted user files), some here have done that only to wonder why their problems returned after the zero erase was completed.
    If you restored the new drive with SuperD from the earlier drive, you also might have carried data corruption from that drive over too.
    So with a fresh install of everything, only thing that can be corrupted is your user files, which you restore from a clean backup and/or delete the ones causing problems.
    Take care and good luck.

    How can I combine different pdf files in one?
    created by Sara.Forsberg in Adobe PDF Pack - View the full discussion
    Hi Flávia,
    Adobe PDF Pack is an online subscription--it definitely allows you to combine several files into one PDF file. For more information about PDF Pack, see Reliably Create PDFs, Convert PDFs, & Merge PDFs Online | Adobe PDF Pack. If you don't have the full version of Acrobat, this is a great solution for combining PDF files.
    However, if you're using Acrobat (not Adobe Reader), you combine files by following these steps:
    Open a PDF file that you want to add pages to.
    Click the Pages pane on the Tools panel (on the right side of the application).
    Click Insert From File, and choose the file that you want to combine with the PDF that you opened in step 1.
    Make any changes necessary in the Insert Pages dialog box--these settings determine where the new file will be inserted.
    Click OK.
    Please let me know how it goes.
    Best,
    Sara

  • Need to connect different swf files into one site

    I need to make this site like presentation for my next exam. I found a good template for a slide show. The presentation will be structured like this:
    MAIN PAGE with sidebar which links to:
    slide one with slideshow 1
    slide two with slideshow 2
    slide three with slideshow 3
    slide four with slideshow 4
    due to the nature of the code thou i cannot put the different slideshows into the same .swf file in different scenes (i copied and pasted them in each scene and modified the actionscript so they would refer to different pictures) because they will create conflict with each other. now they question is can i use the sidebar to link to different swf files but still make it look like it was just one big swf?
    thank you!

    Here is what you have to do
    Create a document named main.swf in that document put 4 buttons and instance (button1_btn, button2, button3_btn, button4_btn).
    Change the name to your slideshows to slide1.swf, slide2.swf, slide3.swf and slide4.swf.
    Now go to the actionScript panel of your main.swf and paste the following code:
    //load external content
    var loader = new Loader
    addChild(loader)
    loader.x=0;
    loader.y=0;
    button1_btn.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, function(){
             loader.load(new URLRequest("slide1.swf"));
    button2_btn.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, function(){
             loader.load(new URLRequest("slide2.swf"));
    button3_btn.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, function(){
             loader.load(new URLRequest("slide3.swf"));
