BACKGROUD GLITCHES IN SONGS AFTER YOU BURN A PLAYLIST....

Is everyone having this problem after the pointless upgrade?? Everytime I burn a playlist there's this random glitch or static noise every now and then on the songs. I've tried everything and cant fix it. Even called tech support and they don't know anything. Went to the genius bar and talk to some idiots that don't even know how to use a windows pc! Anyone have any solutions???

I expect them to be able to use iTunes, of course; but, expecting them to be fluent in Windows issues/troubleshooting? No. For instance, a firewall may be causing a conflict with iTunes. Do you expect them to be able to troubleshoot your firewall software? Who really knows what what is causing the problem. It could be on of millions of software glitches on your computer interacting with iTunes to cause a problem. It is NOT realistic to expect a Genius at an APPLE store to be familiar.

  • How do you burn a playlist using the new version  of itunes if no provision is made unlike previous versions. have thaey ( Programmers made a mistake)

Downloaded latest version of itunes. Noticed that there is no provision to burn a playlist to CD under the file menu as in past versions. Although the help menu still references this function. Is this an oversight ?
Also noticed that the  new  itune program which interfaces with the iphone 5 , will only play videos bought through itune store. Where previous versions would play any video, or have I got wrong??
Any help would be appreciated .
    Thanks

Someone gave me the Mac Format magazine (Jan 2013), which contained a complete guide to iTunes 11.
One section was "Get the old look back".  It stated that it was possible to tweak the interface to get the old look back by:-
    1.  Be on Music view and select Songs tab at top of window.
    2.  Click on the View menu.  (Mine was hidden, but if you click on the dropdown arrow in the top left-hand corner the option is there to show the Menu Bar).
    3.  Click on Show Sidebar, then click on Show Status Bar.
This should make iTunes look like the old version.
    Hope this helps others :-)

  • How do you get back your purchased songs after you have restored your ipod?

hi my name is meagan i just restored my ipod and all my (purchased songs , videos , etc.) are gone and i just called the apple hot line and they told me this would be the best way and that you guys can help get my purchased songs back this would be greatly appreciated:) please let me know as soon as possible

    Hi Meagan,
If you have sync'd / transferred the songs to iTunes prior to the restore (they would be listed under iTunes Store or within your library if so) then you can easily sync these across. If, however, you don't you will need to get in contact with iTunes Store Support so as that they can look at possibly reauthorising a download of them for you.
As an aside, with any purchases you ever make regularly backup and transfer the purchases from your device to your computer. That way you shouldn't lose them

  • How do I get my purchased apps/ringtones/songs after you upgraded your system?

I upgraded the system on my phone from the 4 to the 4S on iTunes and I have lost all my purchased songs/apps/ringtones. How do I recover these? There is nothing on my iTunes that has backed up my info. Also I went to see if I could get them by redownloading them but I had to pay for them so I didn't do that because I don't want to have to pay twice.

Does this mean you Created a NEW Apple ID..?

  • Have BOTH .m4a and .m4p versions of same purchased songs after re-import

    Hello,
I recently had to reconstruct my iTunes library (new machine, new installation) and so I did an "Add to Library" of my library folder into an empty iTunes library. After import, I've discovered that for about 215 songs which I've purchased from the iTunes Store, I have both .m4a and .m4p versions of each of these songs. If I view the "Kind" of each song within iTunes, the .m4a shows a "Kind" of "Purchased AAC Audio File", and the .m4p version shows a "Kind" of "Protected AAC Audio File". If I show the Bitrate, each copy of each song is the same, 256 Kbps. If I view each song file in the Finder, the .m4a is about double the size of the .m4p. I have a few questions surrounding this:
    1. Why are the sizes of the song files so drastically different?
    2. Some time ago I took advantage of that DRM-free promotion, so I am suspecting that this may have had something to do with me having both protected and non-protected copies of these files. However, I am curious why both files now show in my library, whereas before, they did not -- only one copy showed. Does anyone know why both song copies are now showing?
    3. Should I keep both of these files?
    4. Is there a way to manage these files in iTunes so that only one copy shows? They both show when duplicates are hidden, because they are different, or iTunes doesn't know of the association I suppose. But of course that messes up trying to play an album -- every song plays twice.
Thanks in advance for your answers.
    Brad

No--nothing gets deleted when you convert. You get two copies of the song in your library. (On Edit: I haven't done this with the latest version of iTunes. I assume nothing gets deleted just like before. To check--maybe you should convert ONE song and see if you get a duplicate in a smaller version, or just a smaller version! I've always gotten duplicates!)
I did leave out a few steps on how I do this--but if you're interested here's how I do it. Make the playlist. Then go to Edit>Select All. Then I go back to the top line: Advanced>Convert Selection to AAC. (To be able to do this you have to have your import option set to AAC 128 kps under the advanced tab in your Preferences settings. After you do the conversion make sure you set this tab back to your preferred lossless import option!)
You will get two copies of the songs in your library. Your original playlist will contain the lossless songs, so you'll have to pull the AAC songs back out into a play list. You can find them easily by sorting your library by "Kind" and then pulling the AAC files into a playlist. You can label this iPhone--or whatever.
After you load the playlist onto your iPhone, uncheck it so the songs are not duplicated in your library. If you ever want to delete them, you have to do this inside your library or the file will remain on your computer. (It does take a while to run the conversion--so I rarely delete things afterwards if I think I'm going to use the file again.)
Post back if you still have other questions.

  • Return to song after quitting

Is there a way to have iTunes return to the last played song after you have quit?
If I am in the middle of an album and quit iTunes, upon return to the program it starts at the top of my huge playlist.
I can scroll thought the list or search for the ablum but It would be alot easier if I could just continue were I left off.
I do like the new album, interface but its not the same.
    Thanks in advance

    Hi Bob.
From the MAIN MENU, click on NOW PLAYING.
    Cheers!

  • Stop Itunes adding numeric prefix to song filename when burning playlist?

Hello, does anyone know how to get Itunes to stop automatically adding nummeric prefixes to the song filenames when burning a playlist? For example, if I have a playlist where the 3rd song is "Boom Boom Pow", Itunes will name this song "03 Boom Boom Pow.m4a" For various reasons I really don't want the number "03" added. I can't find how to make Itunes not do this? I just want the filename to be "Boom Boom Pow.m4a"
    thanx

I am posting this question in the ITunes forum instead.

  • Can you burn partial songs onto a cd??

I am just getting situated with itunes and was wondering how you can burn songs onto a cd from itunes and if you can burn only portions of songs??

    Hello peterpt,
    And welcome to Apple Discussions!
You can burn portions of songs by changing the Start/Stop time of each song. To do this, locate one of the songs you wish to burn a portion of, right->click on it and choose "Get Info" from the Shortcut menu. From there, head over to the options tab, where you will see two different boxes for adjusting the start and stop time.
The burn CD will only burn the song from the time you specified it to start as well as the end. Just make sure that if you want to hear the whole song after that, to change the settings back to how they were originally.
    Hope this helps.

  • Is there a way to get the songs back after you do a sync and erase? I no longer have them stored on my harddrive.

Thanks to a wonderful geeksquad agent all my songs have been deleted from my ipod. They had to restore my computer so the ones I downloaded are no longer on my harddrive or in itunes. Is there a way to get the songs back after you do a sync and erase?

If they are on the iPod there are third-party programs that will transfer then to  a computer. See:
Copy music from Ipod to new computer...: Apple Support Communities
If they ae not on either the iPOd or the computer they are gone.

  • HT2534 How do you use an iTunes card after you have redeemed it?? I have entered my code for redeem and when I click on purchase song it asks me for a credit card?!

How do you use your iTunes card after you have redeemed it. I have entered my redeem code and my balance is $20.00 but when I go to buy a song it asks me for my credit card details...?!

If you set up an Apple ID already and didn't enter credit card details because you were planning on using gift cards only, you probably set up the account incorrectly. If this is the case, you will have to enter the credit card details even if you want to use only gift cards and download free content only. Yoy will not have to use the card, but you can't use the ID without entering the card details now. You may be able to remove the card as well after the card is verified for use by Apple by editing your account details.
There is a very specific manner in which you have to set up an ID without using a credit card. You can read about it here.
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2534
See this about changing iTunes account information.
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1918
If you decide to create a new ID now, you will new another email address as wel, because the email address that you are currently using will already be associated with the ID that you just set up.
I am making certain assumptions here and reading between the lines of your post, so if I am guessing incorrectly, post back with more details.

  • How many times can you burn a protected song?

How many times can you burn a purchased iTMS song onto an audio cd?
I know they say you can only burn a playlist so many times but does that also include the purchased songs? (I hope not)
Does anybody know the official iTMS ruling on this?
    -J

I believe I read that you are allowed to burn it seven times, but I burn mixes all the time and have never run into a message that I've reached my limit. Honestly, though, if you are—at some point—unable to burn anymore, you can reimport a purchased song from one of the burned CDs.
    Hope this helps!

  • How do you burn more than one song from my Logic on to a CD?

I have like five songs done that I want to burn on one CD at one time. When I bounce a song I seem to only burn one song. Thanks for the help

    Hi,
bounce the songs to iTunes, create a playlist and burn the CD with iTunes. Nice, smooth workaround for Logic Express users.
You could also use third party burn software (free or expensive)
But if you want to spend some money, i suggest upgrading to Logic Studio, which contains Waveburner.

  • How do you get your songs to play after you authorized the computer your on?

how do you get your songs to play after you authorized the computer your on itunes?

Yamipod. This is a free program that transfers music from iPod back to the computer. However, it does not transfer playcounts/ratings etc.
Other free programs are Pod Player, SharePod and Floola.
If it's a Mac, try Senuti or Music Rescue.

  • I want to burn a playlist but after it completes it has rearranged the order of songs. How do I keep my order?

Does anyone know what setting I need to change so that when I burn a playlist to a CD, I can keep my order of songs? iTunes keeps changing the order.

For a full run down see Grouping tracks into albums. Generally to control the order of tracks within an album you need to use appropriate disc and track numbers. You may also need to change the sort column for the view.
