Background GATP based on LOAD Scheduling Step

Dear all,
We work with an integrated solution between ECC and APO.
During the sales Order entry, the system triggers a Background GATP in order to calculate a first MAD Date.
It seems that during this Background GATP the system doesn't read on APO side the Load Scheduling step based on the Start Location and The Means of Transport. From the condition analysis, I noticed that the system doesn't read the field Means of Transport.
The only way that I found to solve this issue was to map in the APO Customizing ( GATP => Transportation and Shipment Scheduling  => Interfaces => Define assignment of Default Means of Transport to Shipping Conditions) The shipping condition to the means of Transport but this is only a one to one relation meaning that I cannot assign several MoT to the same Means of Transport.
Do you have any idea how can I try to manage that issue?
Thanks in advance for your input.
Kr,
JP

JP,
Looking at your analysis, I don't see shipping point. I quickly put this
together in my sandbox.  This is what yours should look like.
You probably will only need one access, delete all that you have done so far and instead create a table for the items you mentioned above (shipping point / means of transport).  Create the access from that table. .
Let me back off a bit.  I suggest you THOROUGHLY read the link I provided.  There is a fairly good description of all the steps you need to perform to make this work.  Once you have read this, come back if you have any more questions.

  • How to schedule a background Job based on events

    Hi,
    We are on 4.6 C.
We have a background job that has two ABAP programs.
We need to start the 2nd ABAP program only after the first one has run successfully.
If the second ABAP program does not run, the the job should have a status "FINISHED".
    Help appreciated.
    Thanks
    Mala

    Hi,
How to schedule a background Job based on events, please refer to the follow SAP help:
You can use events that have already been defined, or you can create new events for scheduling background jobs.
If you wish to use new events, do the following to implement the event scheduling:
Define and transport the event as a user event with transaction SM62.
You must define only event IDs; event arguments are not defined in the R/3 System. Instead, you specify event arguments when you schedule a job to wait for an event and when you trigger the event.
If you define a new event, you must also transport it to your production systems. The event transaction does not have a connection to the transport system. Instead, you must create a transport request for the event yourself.
Do this to transport an event:
    Create a transport request.
Start the editor in the transport request and enter the following:
R3TR TABU <table name> where table name is BTCSEV for a system event ID, BTCUEV for a user event ID.
Press F2 with the cursor on the table name to call up the screen for specifying the table entries to transport. In this screen, enter the event ID’s that you have created.
Save and release the transport request. Ensure that it is imported into your production system(s).
    To trigger an event, add:
    – the function module BP_EVENT_RAISE to your ABAP program, or
    – the program SAPEVT to your external script, batch file, or program.
When your programs execute these keywords, an event will be triggered in the R/3 background processing system. The event-based scheduler is started immediately. It in turn starts all jobs that were waiting upon the event, subject to normal background processing restrictions, such as the requirement that the job has been released to start.
Schedule the jobs that are to run when your events are triggered.
You can schedule jobs for one-time start or to be started whenever an event is triggered.

  • What happens in the background when a job is scheduled!!!

    Hi,
Can anyone tell me what exactly happens in the background in SAP when a job is set to "Scheduled" ( sm37) .
Can v see the code executed in the background during the transtion from " Scheduled" state of a job to" Cancelled" to "Complete" state.
    Its urgent,
    Answers will rewarded,
    regards,
    Rohan

    Hi Rohan,
Jobs and job steps enable you to treat complex tasks as single units. That is, you can schedule several programs needed to complete a particular task as steps within a single job, with the advantage of the job being single logical container for all the steps needed to complete the task. You need to schedule or review only one background job in order to schedule or review any of the individual steps necessary for completing the task.
Assume that a particular data transfer with batch input requires that you start two programs, an external program to prepare the batch-input session and an internal program to process the session. Creating a job made up of two steps lets you handle the two programs as a single unit. Scheduling that one job schedules both programs. The results of each program's run can be seen in the job log.
Some background processing attributes apply to entire jobs and, therefore, to all job steps within a job. For example, the earliest possible start time for any job steps will be the start time for the job. Frequency of repetition, priority, and other global attributes also apply to the whole job.
To ensure that you can flexibly run individual programs, you can set important attributes individually for each job step, too. Each job step can:
have its own spool, or output, specifications
run under the authorizations of a separate user
    use a different language
have its own runtime options (for programs external to the SAP System), such as handling of error output and synchronicity
In general, job steps run sequentially and synchronously in the order they're entered in a job: the first step starts, runs, and is completed, then the second step starts, and so on. The only exception is when you schedule an external program to run asynchronously. In this case, the background processing system starts the next job step without waiting for a return code from the external program. If the external program runs long enough, then the start of the next job step may overlap it.
Job steps run partially independently of each other’s status. That is, the abnormal termination of one job step does not roll back the work of a previously completed job step if this previous step was executing a commit. If any job step fails, however, then the entire job fails. No further job steps are carried out, and the job's status changes to Canceled.
There are two types of job steps:
    An executable ABAP program
Only type 1, or executable, ABAP programs can be used as job steps. Module pools and function groups, which are collections of ABAP modules, are not allowed. The specifications required for an ABAP job step are:
ABAP program + Variant + Print and archiving parameters + Language
An external command or external program
This type of job step allows you to run programs outside the SAP System. External commands are predefined, authorization-protected commands for end users. External programs are unrestricted, directly entered commands reserved for system administrators.
The type of external command and external program is unrestricted, meaning that you can use either compiled programs or scripts. Such programs can be run on any computer that can be reached from the SAP System. Parameter passing to non-SAP programs is completely unrestricted except by the predefinition mechanism for external commands.
Output of non-SAP programs, particularly error messages, is included in the job's log file.
Specifications required for an external command or program are:
External command + Type of operating system + (Parameters) + Target host system
External program + Parameters + Target host system
    Job Step Language
If your SAP System runs with an Arabic, Cyrillic, or Asian character set, then you may need to change the language specified in the standard background jobs listed above. Languages are assigned to jobs based on job steps. Be sure that the language specified in the job step definition in each of these jobs is set to English (EN).
This change is required because not all languages are available with all code pages. If the job’s specified language is not available, the job will not run.

  • Resource / Cost Loading Schedule

I am seeking some ideas about Resource Loading and Cost Loading schedules in P6.
My Resources are the subcontractors on the project. Each Subcontractor is the Resource for series of activities. The Resource Type is "Labor" and we plug Labor Units for each activity to run the "Activity Usage Profile". The unit price is $1 to avoid the warnings in the "Project Integrity Report" but not to track cost.
I need to load the schedule with "Labor" cost and "Material" cost. I assigned two more resources to every activity:
    1. "Labor Cost" with "Nonlabor" resource type.
    2. “Material Cost” with “Material” Resource type.
The reason why the “Labor Cost” resource is nonlabor is because I don't want P6 to add labor units for both resources (Labor Units for subcontractor and Labor Units for Labor cost)
Is there a better way to load your schedule with labor units, labor cost and material cost?
    Thanks,
    Fouad

You are doing right but needs a bit correction.
Total Cost = Labor + Non Labor + Material + Expenses
Earned Value Calculations are based on Total Cost and not a specific type of cost.
I suggest using Price / Unit for labor = 0 and not 1 that means labor resources will not take part in cost for Earned Value Management.

  • My iTunes Match won't load past step 1; All songs in my library say "Exceeded Limit", even the ones that were uploaded before.

My iTunes Match hasn't been working for a couple of days. It said I had exceeded the song limit, so I was going through my library and clearing out some songs. When I deleted the songs, the box that asked if I wanted to delete them from the cloud wasn't showing up. I decided to update my iTunes Match before deleting anything else. When I attempted the update, Step 1 moved incredibly slowly, then stopped working before reaching Step 2. When this has happened in the past, I have been advised to try several troubleshooting tactics from the support forum and from writing to Apple support in the past. The first one is to turn off iTunes Match, restart the computer, and turn on iTunes Match again. I did that. The same problem occurred. I tried the second trouble shooting tactic, which was to turn off iTunes Match, close iTunes, find the iTunes Library Genius.itdb and iTunes Library Extras.itdb and move them to the trash, then run a Repair Disk Permissions using Disk Utility, then turn iTunes Match back on. I tried that. The same problem occurred. I went to my iTunes library to see the iCloud status of my songs, and every single song was listed as not being in the cloud yet and had the "Exceeded Limit" status, even the songs that have been in my cloud for over a year. I checked a few of the forum topics here on the support site. One suggested opening up iTunes while holding down the Option button, creating a new library, then turning on iTunes Match and deleting songs from the cloud that way. Then open up the original library and turn on iTunes Match. I did that. The status of my songs hasn't changed, nor can iTunes Match load past Step 1. Does anyone know what I can do to fix this?

Maybe I didn't explain it properly, but that's one of the things I described trying in my first post. It helped get songs out of my cloud that I didn't need there, but iTunes Match still couldn't get past the first step. Last night I deleted the iTunes Library Extras.itdb, iTunes library Genius.itdb, iTunes Library.it, and iTunes Library.xml files from my computer, entered Time Machine, and recovered those same files that had been backed up after the last time I added music (the time the problem began.) After recovering those files I opened iTunes and turned Match back on. For some reason, it worked, even though those were the files that existed when the problem initially occurred. The combination of having songs removed from the cloud as well as restoring those original files must have done something, but I have no idea why that fixed the problem.

  • Ucm: displaying some fields on a profile based on a workflow step

    Hi,
Is it possible to hide/display some standard/custom metadata fields on a profile based on a workflow step/
    e.g. I am having a workflow with 3 steps
    1. manager step
    2. specialist step
    3. reviewer step
On the 3 step, a reviewer can decide calling an adhoc workflow if he updates some custom metadata fields(adhoc rev1, adhoc rev2). My requirement: Is it possible to show the custom metadata fields only to reviewer on updating the content item. It should not get displayed while checkin the content item or any other step users update the content item.
    thanks

I had a similar question some times ago - see this thread: Value of dpAction
Yes, you can do it, but you will have to define rule activation conditions properly - using dpAction and dWfCurrentStepID.

  • BPM - Background Job for Reorganization = Not Scheduled

Good afternoon, first of all thank you very much for the support they can provide. I have developed a JDBC interface -> BPM (Multimapping) which works well. Modify a Message Mapping in the BPM that I use for an RFC Lookup, I have added the Configurable Parameters in the BPM and Integration Directory and everything works fine at design time. But when running the interface at run time the message reaches the BPM and the error "error in BPE inbound Permanent processing".
I have reviewed the Business Process Engine in the RWB and the item is Red Schedule Background Job for Reorganization and detail reads: "Background Job for Reorganization = Not Scheduled".
As I can solve this problem. Thank you very much.

  • Splitting Purchase Order based on Loading Group.

    Hi,
My client is a fashion retailer. They have two Loading Groups, General Merchendise that comes in cartons and Hung garments that com hung on hangers.
PO`s are created for every Vendor by Follow-on processing of allocation or by replenishment run.
It is desired to split our Purchase Orders based on loading group.  So that there is a separate PO for General Merchendise and Hung Garments. These can then be handled separately during GR and furthur processing.
Would like to know how to configure this.
    Thanks
    Barry

You need to Define Two PO document types one for General Merchendise and other for Hung garments
and use BADI  ME_PROCESS_PO_CUST  and incorporate the Logic that
for PO Type General Merchendise the Loading Group of Hung garments Not allowed and Similarly
for PO type Hung garments the Loading group of General Merchendise not allowed ..

  • Change Column Header / Column Background color based on a value in a specific row in the same column

    SSRS 2012
Dataset (40 columns) including the first 3 rows for Report layout configuration (eg: the <second> row specifies the column background color).
Starting from the 4th row, the dataset contains data to be displayed.
I would like to change the background color of the ColumnHeader/Column based on the value in the same column in the <second> row.
How can I accomplish the this requirement? (this must be applied for all the columns)
    Thanks

    Hi Fasttrck2,
Per my understanding that you want to specify the background color of all the columns/column header based on the value in one special column of the special row, right?
I have tested on my local environment and you can add expression to condition show the background color in the columns properties or the column header properties.
Details information below for your reference:
Specify the background color in the Column header: you can select the entire column header row and in the properties add expression in the Background color :
If you want to specify the background color for the entire column, you can select the entire column and add the expression, repeat to add background color for other columns.
If you want to specify the background color based on the value in the specific columns and row, you can create an hidden parameter to get the list of values from the  specific column, specify the Available values and default values by select "Get
values from a query", finally using the expression as below to get the specific value you want:
    Expression(Backgroud Color):
    =IIF(Parameters!Para.Value(1)="1221","red","yellow")
If your problem still exists, please try to provide some smaple data of the report and also the snapshot of the report structure to help us more effective to provide an solution.
Any problem, please feel free to ask.

  • Load "Selected" in a Property Loader test step from file

    Hi,
The Import/Export tool stores its selected properties in the file PLPropertyLoader.ini. Is it possible to use this file to specify which properties a Property Loader Test Step should load? How? Then the information about what to export and load dynamically later is stored in the same location and the risk possibilities is reduced to one place.
    Best regards,
    Morten Pedersen

    Morten -
By default, the Property Loader step type stores its selected property list in the step's property "Step.PropertyList". The Edit Property Loader dialog box has the "Property List Source" expression control that specifies this as its value.
If you created a Station Globals array property of type "DatabasePropertyMapping", you could specify that the steps use this property. You might have to set to show hidden properties to find the "DatabasePropertyMapping" type in the insert menu. Note that when you do this when you edit the selected list in a step you are editing the selected list stored in the station global array property.

    Hi All ,
i got the following error ,
when i try to customize the SWU3 " Schedule background job for dead line monitoring ".
    The error is :
"Work item -: Background job SWFSLSDLEX cannot be scheduled (error )"
And the Error log says :
Refer to your workflow system administrator.
The specified error number should indicate possible reasons for the error. It is possible that the system is in an inconsistent state. The scheduled start of the specified background job must be compared with the minimum date/time of all work items in table SWWDHMIN. It may be necessary to delete the scheduled background job by hand and reschedule it by calling report RSWWDHEX.
Apparently i dont see any table SWWDHMIN.
    Thanks!
