Background image in banner area & in one in body are not fully visible
I am a newbie and I created my site with one of the Adobe templates. For a while my site was loading correctly in both IE and Firefox. I don't know what I did, but I had to have changed something. Now the photo in the banner area and one in the body is not visible.
Please help.

HT4059 Books are downloading to IPad 2 but not fully loading on iPhone 4S.
Books are downloading to IPad 2 but not fully loading on iPhone 4S. Shows book cover but the download line never filled out and book remains shaded and unable to open, delete, or move. Tried un/reinstall of iBooks, reboot phone, turning on/off, syncing. Suggestions?
I contacted Apple support. He had me unsync all books from my phone through itunes and then resync all books back to phone. It work and all iBooks are now completely loaded.

Hello,
I have a Design Studio Extension with a background image which behave well in Design Studio 1.2.
In Design Studio 1.3 when I drag the control into the canvas the image does not show-up. If I execute the application the image appear in the browser even is not in the canvas.Once I save and reopen the application the image is displayed on the canvas as expected.
I built an extension based on the 'Timer' sample which comes with the DS_13_SDK_Samples ( it has a background image) and it behaves the same way - when you drag the control on the canvas, the image is not displayed.
Any help to solve this issue is much appreciated.
Thank you.It does start to work once I save and reopen or even when I run.
I tried the inline style but the behavior is much stranger. It does work if I have a full address url to an image, but if my image is part of the control's folder structure it fails completely - it cannot map the right address to the image. The only configuration that appears to work better is the one with the original problem.
Thank you. -
I have a Toshiba laptop Intel(R) Core(TM) i7 CPU Q740 @1.73GHz 1.73 GHz , 4.00 GB RAM, 32-bit Operating system
I noticed the problem after installing Firefox 4.0.1, but by uninstalling and reinstalling found it was also a problem with the previous version.
There are no boxes displayed on this form, but on my XP desktop computer, they are displayed. I have both open so I know where to type.
I installed Firefox on the XP virtual console on this machine and it worked fine, but not using Windows 7.
None of the posted suggestions for similar questions on this forum worked.Make sure that you allow pages to choose their colors and that you haven't enabled High Contrast in the Windows Accessibility settings.

HP Photosmart Premium All-In-One driver software will not fully install
After downloading and installing the full version of the printer driver (both from on-line site AND from purchased driver CD), the software appears to download fine, but will not fully install. I have run Print and Scan Doctor and tried on-line support, uninstalling, reinstalling the drivers and have tried on-line HP support. My new computer (HP Envy 715 xt) is less than 3 weeks old. I am running Windows 7 Professional 64 bit. The printer/scanner/copier/fax worked fine on my old computer which ran Windows XP. I have tried everything - HP on-line support will not speak to me without charging me, even though my computer is brand new - they insist the problem is with the printer, which is out of warranty.
Hello Deb!
I would recommend performing an L3 uninstall, and reinstalling.
I am listing the L3 uninstall steps below:
-Launch your temp folder
-Go to the 7z folder
-Go to the util\CCC folder
-Launch the uninstall_L3.bat file
Please let me know the results!
Please click “Accept as Solution " if you feel my post solved your issue, it will help others find the solution.

Random background-image with PHP
I would like to have random images as background-images on a
page. So I
made a rotate.php ("SELECT picsid, picsurl FROM pics WHERE
picsite =
'home' ORDER BY MD5(RAND()) limit 1") with
<img src="<?php echo $row_rsimages['picsurl']; ?>"
alt="" />
Then I put the following rule into the css-file:
#pics {
width: 400px;
height: 200px;
background-color: #fff;
background-image: url(banner.php);
background-repeat: no-repeat;
background-position: top left;
Finally I inserted a div called #pics on the index.php and
previewed the
page, and - you are right ;) - the images are not displayed.
Where have I failed?

In several places.
1. Presumably banner.php is the page that you earlier refer
to as
rotate.php. The name should be the same.
2. It looks as though you're trying to use an <img> tag
to display a
background image. That won't work.
3. If you want banner.php to display an image, you need to
send the
correct MIME header and stream the image as a download.
// code to select the image
$filepath = '/home/mysite/htdocs/images/'; // path to image
folder
$image = $filepath.$row_rsimages['picsurl'];
if (file_exists($image) && is_readable($image)) {
$size = filesize($image);
header('Content-type: image/jpeg');
header('Content-length: '.$size);
$file = @fopen($image, 'rb');
if ($file) {
fpassthru($file);
It's actually a lot simpler to do everything in the same
page.
Put the recordset at the top of the page to select the random
image.
Then put the style block in the head of the document:
<style type="text/css">
#pics {
width: 400px;
height: 200px;
background-color: #fff;
background-image: url(<?php echo $row_rsimages['picsurl'];
?>);
background-repeat: no-repeat;
background-position: top left;
</style>

Background Image will not show on website but does in Dreamwever

A page created in Microsoft Word is no more a web page than one created in Microsoft Publisher. Yours is pretty messy as a result of its passage through Word -
<html xmlns:v="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:vml"

xmlns:w="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:word"

<meta name=ProgId content=Word.Document>
<meta name=Generator content="Microsoft Word 12">
<meta name=Originator content="Microsoft Word 12">
and, what's equally bad, there is no doctype.
Finally, Word's Word Art is not suitable for use on the web at all.
I'm guessing that this is the image that is missing?

Change that to this and see what happens -
style={background-image: url(curly.jpg)

CSS Background Image Clickable?
A client asked me to add an image on every page in an
editable area eclipsing where I already have two divs (one is a
title area and the other is text that goes under it). Both those
divs are inside another div. I put the image as a background (no
repeat) to the div that holds the other two and it fits perfect.
But I need it to be clickable to another page. Any suggestions how
I might do that? Can I somehow make the background image clickable?
Can I make just that area of the div clickable? Keep in mind that
the image is behind the corners of the other two divs. Here is the
code:
<td width="514" valign="top">
<div id="services_right">
<div id="services_copy">
<div id="services_subsub">
<h2><!-- TemplateBeginEditable name="services_sub"
--><!-- TemplateEndEditable --></h2>
</div>
<div align="left"><!-- TemplateBeginEditable
name="services_content" -->
<p> </p>
<!-- TemplateEndEditable --></div>
</div> </div> </td>
Thanks,
Brian> How do you deal with that?
Either -
1. Do the insertion of a server-side include
programmatically, e.g., based
on the current page name, or
2. Leave an editable region for the secondary navigation, and
drop the
desired include file into the editable region.
Either approach is SO MUCH SIMPLER than using nested
templates.

correctly?
I do quite a few sites where I am changing the physical
layouts using CSS
alone, yes.

Locking div's, banners, and background images
Hello!
I'm trying to figure out how to lock a background image and banner around my body content using div's but am not sure how.
When scrolling I would like only the Header Bar and Body section to move, while the background image and banner always stay put.
In addition, I need to make sure that this happens always, despite screen size and/or zooming.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Below is a layout of what I am desiring:
1. Header Bar (orange) will move with page scroll.
2. Main Body Area (white) will move with page scroll.
3. BG Image (red) ALWAYS stays put, wrapping around the body area.
4. Banner (blue) sits ATOP the BG Image but AWAYS stays put.
5. BG color (black) in place for when zooming or screen size changes.
I hope this makes sense. And as always, I appreciate the help!As always, answers to layout questions are contained in your CSS and HTML code. What have you got so far?

Changing a background image according to the time of day/night...
Hello all:
I have a client who wants me to put in 2 different background image for an upcoming project, (one for morning, one for night) and I'm wondering if anyone can tell me how to swap background images depending on what time of the day it is. The other problem is that it has to be through the Flash Designers mode and not the back-end. (if that's even possible)
The reason being is that I have NO experience with ActionScript 3.0, (I'm only have experience with Dreamweaver, HTML, CSS etc.) so I am a complete and utter newbie in the world of Flash and ActionScript.
If anyone could help me with this problem, it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
Justin.I am not sure what you are trying to differentiate between when you say "Flash Designers mode and not the back-end", or what background image you are talking about... but in any case, Flash has the Date class with a getHours() methiod (like javascript) that you can use to tell what hour of the day it is (0 thru 23) which is probably all you'd need to determine when to show which picture. If the images are in a Flash file, then you can just create a movieclip that has the images in different frames and use the getHours method to decide which frame of that movieclip to be in.

How to block changes of desktop background image
I manage a 30-computer Mac lab in a public high school and I would like to prevent users from changing the desktop background image.
As far as I know, there are two ways to change the desktop background image: through System Preferences and by right-clicking an image and selecting Set Desktop Picture.
Blocking System Preferences is easily done through Parental Controls.
But how do I prevent the right-click, Set Desktop Picture method of changing the desktop image?
You can imagine the kinds of images that end up as desktop backgrounds in a high school computer lab.You might try going to System Preferences > Keyboard > Keyboard Shortcuts. In the left pane select Services, then uncheck the item "Set Desktop Picture" under Pictures in the right pane. Once that's done, block that prefs pane.
