Backorder status in 11i

Is there any other ways to find or identify backordered order line in
11.5.2 than look for order line status = Awaiting Shipping and trying to
a open Pick Wave Move Order from Inventory and Move Orders?
When backorder is created from Ship Confirm, one might guess that
splitted order line where first one 2.1 is shipped and 2.2 is Awaiting
Shipping + open move order in Inventory, means actually a back order.
But if order line is only pick released at the very first time and there is
no stock for that item, order line status is Awaiting Shipping and open
Pick Wave Move Order exists in Inventory. Is there any other status
information available concerning backorders? I did not find any from
Workflow Monitor, which might be because Picking is not Workflow
enabled. Any ideas?

Hi bharat,
I'm facing the same kind of issue, can you please let me know how to get is resolve the issue.
Thanks in advance

  • IMac 27" i5 backorder status

I ordered the above iMac yesterday (10-2) and received an email tonight that the item is now on backorder. A one to two week backorder period was estimated. How accurate is this based on actual experience? I am disappointed that there was no mention of the backorder status when I purchased the machine -- the omission of this fact is borderline false advertisement especially coupled with the one day estimate for release from warehouse. When ordering a 2,000 dollar piece of equipment like this, you need to be as transparent as you can throughout the ordering process. Please let me know, thanks.

Does your local store have the item instock?

  • Order status in Backorderd. how to get it to "Shipped" status

    Hi Friends,
I am new to Order Management(12.1.3). Initially trying to learn the O2C process. As part of that I am using the vision instance
    1> Created the Sales order
    2> Booked the Sales order
3> Trying to Release the Sales order. The order line status has gone to the "Backordered" status.
On reading I have understood that "Backordered" is a status when the inventory does not have the items. But the availability shows the items. Also when I create the sales orders some of the dates are defaulted to 31-DEC-2012. Can someone help how I can resolve this. I mean how can I restock the inventory. Also what is causing the dates to appear in that way.
    Thanks in advance

You need to have some stock to be able to pick release and subsequently ship confirm the order.
If you don't have any stock, you may consider performing miscellaneous receipt transaction.

  • Notified washer was on backorder on the day of deliver!!!

We ordered a Whirlpool front loading washer online on Wed. December 31. It told us the delivery date would be today Fri Jan 2.  The email confirmation stated "confirmed appointment date January 2". It said someone would contact us by 9PM the night before the appointment to schedule delivery time.  No one called that night, although that didn't surprise me since it was New Years Day.  The delivery person called around 8:30 AM today to advise the deliery time would be sometime this afternoon.  He then called back about 30 minutes later to say that the washer was on backorder. I called customer service to complain on why i wasn't notified of the backorder status when the order was placed, and I was advised "it never tells you when the item is on backorder".
They are now telling me the washer can not be available untill Wednesday January 7, but the system won't let them even enter a delivery date, so we still have no idea when it will be here.
This is a huge problem as our washer has been broken since December 15.  We have been fighting with Lowes over an extended warranty claim for 2 weeks - they could not get any one to make the repair and ultimately agreed to reimburse us for the cost of the old one.  So now after a horrendous customer service situation with Lowes we are running into another one with Best Buy.

    Good afternoon wolfie72,
Having been out of a washer since December 15th, I can imagine how relieved you must have been to finally be receiving a working washer. It is truly regrettable to hear of your troubles with Lowe's, as well as the backorder issue you encountered when you ordered your replacement washer from us.
I am sorry that you were not made aware of the backorder until the day of your delivery. I'm sure this was not only greatly disappointing, but also frustrating. It is disheartening that this ultimately led to you canceling your order with us.
While I'm glad to hear you should have received your replacement washer by now, I'm discouraged to find it wasn't with us. I hope that in the future you will trust us with an appliance purchase should one need replacing or you feel like upgrading. Thank you for taking the time to share this experience with us. I can assure you that it has not gone unnoticed.
Please let me know if you should have any questions!

  • Delivery date changed 4 times-called to ask what is going on and then best buy cancelled order

I ordered a 55 inch aquos  with free ROKU stick for $599.00 on Sept. 22   (removed per forum guidlelines) and got a confirmed delivery of Sept. 26.  Unfortunately, I received a call in the morning of the Sept. 26 and was told that delivery was pushed to Tues, Sept. 30.
On Monday, Sept. 29, I received an automated call informing me that the Tv will be delivered on Sept. 30 between 3:30 and 5:30. and I also received an email with the same information. Thirty minutes later I received another email stating that the delivery is again being pushed to Oct. 13. so I called customer service. I was told he can change the delivery date to Oct. 3 but call in the morning to confirm availability with warehouse.I called customer service on Sept. 30 to confirm availability and was assured that the Tv will be delivered on Oct. 3.
On Thursday Oct. 2nd, I received another email stating the order will not be delivered until Oct. 16. I remained calm and called customer service and after a very long hold time I was able to speak with a representative and again after a long hold to check what is going on, she informed me that the order is now cancelled since the item is  discontinued. I told the representative that I already lost 3 days of work due to the delivery dates changing and since the TV has to be accepted by somebody 18 years or older I needed to be home. I asked if it is unreasonable to ask for the same exact TV but 1 size bigger since the 60 inch is available and in stock (but without the ROKU stick) but unfortunately I was told it is not possible. I asked to speak with a supervisor but they are all busy but she asked for my phone number so they can call me back in 20 min.. I waited but did not get a back from the supervisor the same day.
I called again today,  Friday, Oct. 3 and I was assisted by a nice lady who after explaining my situation was sincere with her apology. She told me that she will call me back so she can speak with a supervisor about my situation. I asked her too if it is unreasonable to ask for the same exact TV but next size bigger since the one I was sold is no longer available and I lost 3 days of work due to the 3 changes in delivery dates. She affirmed that it is fair but have no authority to make decissions but will relay the history of the order to her superior so they can make a proper resolution.
After about 15 minutes I got a call  back and was told that since the bigger TV is priced at 799.00 they will give me a 50.00 dsicount for the trouble. I declined the offer since I feel that  $50.00 dollars for getting the run around and missing 3 days of work is not proper compensation and is an insult to any customer. I thanked her for trying and informed her that I am aware that it is not her fault and it is management who made this decission.
I sincerely feel  that I should have been given the next size TV for the same price of my original purchase and I should have been given a ROKU stick (which I did not ask for) for my unpleasant experience.
We are  $150.00 apart from getting a resolution but management feels like it is the right thing to do for cases like these. Being a best buy customer for many years, spending many thousand of dollars,  I am  puzzled why best buy would treat any customer the way they treated me. Please explain the policy so I can have a better understanding. The $150.00 difference can easily be recopued from my next purchase. In my opinion, it is not a very smart business practice to lose a customer this way. Again, please explain the policy to me so I can understand better.

    Hello romcarlos1,
While unforeseen complications can cause unexpected delays, it seems something went wrong at every turn. Misinformation and multiple missed appointments would frustrate me too, and I can only imagine this frustration turned into aggravation with the poor service you describe. After pulling up your account, I noticed that has been two weeks since your TV purchase, and I’m sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused. I appreciate you allowing me the opportunity to explain what should have happened.
When your delivery day arrives, you should receive a call from us to narrow down the time frame to a 4-hour window.  This is done because our delivery agent’s schedule isn’t fully determined until the day of service as our customer’s needs may change prior to the delivery date. These routes are then best optimized to fit the appointments scheduled for the day. The particular television you wished to purchase is quite popular, however, and due to high demand, it’s currently on backorder in some areas of the country.  This may explain why your delivery date was continuously pushed back unexpectedly, and why we needed to reschedule multiple times.
While in backordered status, however, an online order may be cancelled if you don’t wish to wait any longer and a different model may be purchase. Upon review of your order, I noticed that it was canceled upon your request. If you have since changed your mind and wish to wait for one to arrive, you may place a new order here.
It sounds like you wish to purchase a new TV entirely though, so I understand if you don’t wish to attempt a new order. While I cannot guarantee you a different outcome than the resolution already offered, I’d be glad to look into your case to see what other options may be available. Please know I have sent you a private message to collect further information from you. • Delay in Shipment of Droid X

I ordered the Droid X from a Verizon store on August 1st and was told when I called customer service on the 2nd that my shipment date would be August 5th.  I called today since I had received no shipment verification and was told that the shipment date has been pushed to the 23rd of August.
I am very much disappointed with the level of service provided by this company.  I will never do any business with them again!  Had I known or at least been told initially about the delay in shipment instead of being given false shipment dates  I would of never purchased this phone.  I eagerly await receiving my phone, but I don't expect to receive it anytime soon, but I do expect calling customer service everyday until I receive the item that I have already paid for.
The least they could of done is provided some incentive to Verizon customers for having them wait on receiving PAID orders instead of placing the blame on the manufacture and expecting customers to sit on their hands waiting for an item they have already paid for in full.
As soon as my contract is up with Verizon I intend to cancel my plan with them.  Very bad experience! Will never do business with a group that provides false information to thier customers as Verizon!

This backorder crap is becoming rediculous, this is becoming a practice with all carriers... They under order (23 Devices per store on release day, are you serious) on the devices that they know should sale well and then tell you that you can order online with free next day delivery and recieve it in a day or two but after they took your order and your money they then report back that your order is on back order at least a few weeks and if you decide to cancel order you have to jump backwards through hoops to even get them to concider a refund.... This is exactly why I am not open to order a replacement for the volume issue because I would snap if I recieved a used unit with the same issue as the original device and possible other issues.. I paid for a new device and I do not want to trade my new device for a "Like New Device" after having device for so little time, and even better I will have to be on a backorder status to recieve a replacement, this is more reason for me to believe that the device I will recieve will be a used device not a new one.
And then to add insult to injury, they are starting to request customers to pay for device a second time to have a replacement sent out (And refunded after original device is returned) when the issue that the customer may be having is caused be the product that they bought that was flawed... I have no real complaints about my Droid X but the level of craziness dealing with the sales and replacement of this device is getting out of hand in my view.

  • Pick release based on supply

I want the pick release of items to happen not on the basis of how much stock is actually present in the warehouse, but on the basis of supply to that warehouse. I mean, my client wants that the line should not be backordered when he does a pick release on Friday evening even if the item doesn't exist in that inventory.Instead, the line should proceed to form a delivery based on the assumption that the stock in that warehouse would get replenished on Saturday morning. Is it possible to map this in Apps?
Second query: If this is possible, then is it possible to get the lines to a backordered status in case the items do not arrive on Saturday morning(the timeline will be defined). This, obviously has to be a customization; any pointers would he helpful.

A pick release will only ever happen on the basis of available stock and I can't personally think of any customisations or workarounds to get you past that ...
However, dependent on the volume of picks you have, have you considered manually forming the lines into deliveries prior to the arrival of the stock? You can select all of the delivery detail lines for which you expect to receive stock on an order-by-order or customer-by-customer and scheduled ship date basis and mass assign/create deliveries prior to picking. Then on Saturday morning, after receiving the expected stock into your warehouse, you can pick release at the delivery level. Lines for which you have received stock will get pick released, those for which you have not will be both backordered and unassigned from the delivery.

    Jon

  • Was anyone able to purchase 2 phones from Apple for a FamilyTalk plan

On June 17 I placed 2 separate orders for 32GB phones, both lines eligible for upgrade pricing. After waiting patiently since June 17 I received an email from Apple today that there is a "problem" with the 2nd order and to check with AT&T to resolve it. I spent 1 1/2 hrs on the phone with them while they were trying to find the problem, they couldn't find one and said the 1st phone has already gone through and the 2nd phone is eligible and the account is OK etc. I then called Apple and the guy I talked to there now says that because this was a family plan that I am only able to purchase 1 phone online and that the other one has to be bought in a store or from AT&T. I thought that as long as it was 2 separate orders it was OK, was I wrong and now I have to try & find one in a store now?
    I am so frustrated.....

Kathy, I had a similar problem when I went to order two phones from Apple on June 16, I also have a FamilyTalk plan. I had an Apple CSR on the phone when I made the orders. I suspected that both orders had gone threw for the same phone # but the CSR assured me that everything was okay. So I ordered the phones on June 16, they both went to Prepared to Ship on July 3. Then on July 4 one of the orders went back to its previous status, then the email from Apple came on July 5 saying that there was a problem with an order and I should contact AT&T and of course it does not say which order. So I contacted AT&T and it turns out that two orders went in for my wife's phone # even though the CSR said the order was fine and she checked both orders for me. The AT&T rep I talked to on July 5 said he talked to Apple and that I would have to cancel the order in question and re-order the phone for my #. So I ended up putting in a new order with AT&T because of the 7-10 ship rather than the 3 weeks from the Apple site. So the first phone is still Prepared to Ship and the second phone sits in backordered status with AT&T. I wish they would have informed me of the problem right away rather than three weeks after I put in the initial order. So I feel your pain, you are not alone.

  • Evo 4G LTE Back Ordered?

I pre-ordered the HTC Evo 4G LTE the first morning it was available (5/7) and now the order status id 'Back Ordered'?
Is this really the case? I just logged in to see if there was a ship date yet and saw this. Annoying if true.

Dan, I will wait for a while as this is the only phone that has really caught my interest since the original Evo 4G 2 years ago. My issue if you look at my original post had nothing to do with the delay, in fact I posted it well before I ever heard about that.
My problem is with Best Buy and the way they have handled this order since I placed it. I only looked at the status this week and saw it listed as back ordered, but I suspect it has said that almost since the moment it was placed. I have a co-worker that placed an order the same morning and it went to backordered status at once.
I posted here and emailed the online store address and asking about it before the news of the customs delay came out. That was Tue afternoon. To date the closest I have to any kind of response from Best Buy is you post above.
I did get this right after I sent the email:
    Best Buy Customer,

  • Delivery Rescheduled but I was never told...

I have been a longtime and loyal Best Buy customer. I am a Rewards member along with a Best Buy credit card account holder. Today, I had my first experience of terrible customer service with Best Buy that makes me rethink my loyalty.
I placed Order # (removed per forum guidelines) on 09/05/14 and scheduled delivery for 09/10/14. Shortly after placing the order, I received an email thanking me for my order and information that stated Best Buy would call me the day prior to delivery with atime frame for delivery.
On 09/09/14, the day prior to my scheduled delivery date, I did not obtain a phone call about the time frame of my delivery. Not a big deal I thought, mistakes happen. I logged into BestBuy.com and saw that my order was schedule for a delivery frame of 1PM - 3PM. I made plans to be home during these times and properly secured my dogs so they did not interfere with the delivery.
At 4PM on 09/10/14, my delivery had yet to arrive and I had received no updates on the status. I called 1-888-BESTBUY to inquire on the status of my delivery. I was eventually called back and advised that my order had been "rescheduled" and did not have a delivery date. I explained to the Customer Service Rep that I had not received any information about a rescheduling and he confirmed there were no "notes" in the system. I was offered a delivery date of 09/12/14 or 09/13/14. Unfortunately, my job requires that I work Friday-Sunday (6am-6pm). I explained this to the Rep and scheduled a delivery date of 09/15/14.
After I scheduled the delivery date, I asked the Rep "how is this going to be made right?" The Rep advised that the only thing he could do was reschedule the date and had no control over anything else. I then figured that if my business wasn't important enough for Best Buy to "make it right", I wasn't shopping at the right store. I promptly cancelled my order. When I cancelled the order the Rep didn't even try to keep my business, he cancelled the order without question and the transaction was over.
I am highly disappointed in Best Buy and the customer service that was provided. I understand that mistakes happen, but not trying to make things right is highly disappointing. I have now ruined an entire afternoon due to a simple customer service mistake. I hope that Best Buy will make things right, but I don't plan on purchasing a TV from Best Buy after this poor customer service experience.

    Hello ccm2114,
Every customer that reaches out to us deserves to have their issue looked into more than you have received at this point. I would be happy to look into your order and provide you with some information on what happened. As this has never happened to me, I cannot empathize with your situation. However, I will respect your inquiry and look into this for you more!
After using the order number you provided, I took a look into what might have happened with your missed delivery. It appears that on the date your delivery was supposed to occur, your item dropped into a Backordered status. You should have received a call from the warehouse that was performing your delivery to notify you of this untimely inventory constraint.  The phone agent you spoke with should have been able to look up your order, as it sounds like they did. Although, he may not have been able to see the information I did at the time you called in. The system can take a bit to update for the line of sight of all of our agents.
I see that you also spoke with my teammate, Arian, through Facebook. On Facebook, our responses are very much in the moment and can sometimes make it difficult to provide you with an in the moment resolution without having you email into us. Here on the forums it is much easier for us to assist you because we typically have enough of your information to look into your issues before even responding. I apologize if this gave you the wrong impression.
It appears the TV you originally ordered is no longer in that Backordered status; if you would still like to purchase the TV, I would be happy to help you create a new order for it. I will need more information from you in order to help you with this. Please check your private messages by clicking on the envelope in the upper right-hand corner while you are logged into the forums.

  • "Not sure when your phone is going to be here."

So I pre-ordered the iPhone when it was first available, and was very happy with how quickly it got here. I enjoyed it for a day until the screen froze. Called up Verizon, who said they were very sorry for the inconvenience and with so many phone going out, they expect there to be some problems. Said I should expect my new one in 2-6 days. Well on the 6th day, call up Verizon to hear this: Oh it seems that the phone rep. entered your phone into the backordered phones, so we are not sure when yours will come in. We will however, keep you updated on the status.
So, I get a lemon for a phone, get placed on backorder status, and am not without a phone in a job that requires a cell phone. Thanks so much.

I still have the previous phone, but can't even answer a phone call. Besides, I'm not going to pay for the data package on a phone that can't even access the internet.
You don't have to pay for the data package (unless your old phone is a model that requires one).  Just reactivate your old phone by dialing *228 and selecting option 1.  Then, go online to MyVerizon and remove any data package that you don't want.  It will be re-added automatically when you activate your replacement iPhone.  In the meantime, the old phone will be active on your line and able to call and text.

  • Where to find an ati x800?

    Hi all,
I have a 1.8 dual G5 and want to move up to a 30" display, which basically means I need an x800. Any ideas (aside from Ebay) as to where I might get one?
    Getting kinda desperate,
    Thanks in advance,
    Christian
P.S. I've heard that ATI might be bringing the x800 back. Any news on that?

    Christian,
The x800's are shipping in limited supply. I ordered mine direct from ATI (http://shop.ati.com/). The website currently says "Not in stock. Will ship when available." The website said this when I ordered mine on 8/30/07. It is currently on the DHL truck scheduled to hit my front door tomorrow (9/24/07). Before I ordered mine, I called ATI to make sure it was really back in production. ATI confirmed that it is being produced after an 8-month backorder status. They could not give me an estimated shipping date at the time, but the rep said his personal feeling is that it would be 2 - 4 weeks. I thought he was clueless but he was right. If you order direct from ATI, the price is $299. Use coupon code 7391 and you'll get 5% off!! ATI was kind enough to provide me with this coupon code AFTER my card shipped!!!

  • Shipping status becomes backordered even when item is present in inventory

    Hi,
1.The shipping status becomes 'Back ordered' after pick ship release process.
    2.The onhand quantity form(inventory-->on-hand,Availability--->on-hand quantity)
shows zero(even when 100 qty is present) when queried for that particular item.
3.When tried increasing the quantity (inventory--->transactions-->miscellaneous transaction)it shows 100 quantity available. If i try adding more it shows the following error:
APP-INV-05647:The remote call failed because no manager was available.
    I checked the following.
1.The status of the four interface managers are active.
2.The columns for "Available" and "Target" for the Inventory Manager and the Remote Procedure Manager were not equal and tried restarting them. Even then the numbers are not equal.
    how to solve this problem?
    Thanks & Regards,
    Nithya

    Hi,
Probably the quantity you are seeing in the ATP form must be reserved and so your pick release is getting backordered.
I did a quick Metalink search for your error, and the following is the result:
fact: Oracle Work In Process 11.5.3
    fact: WIPTXSFM - Move Transactions
symptom: Receive error when processing WIP transactions
symptom: APP-INV-05647 The Remote call failed because no manager was
    available
symptom: Locks for the process INVTRM in table
    MTL_MATERIAL_TRANSACTIONS_TEMP
cause: The cause of this problem is still undetermined.
    fix:
Update file wipsorvb.pls to version 115.26 or higher. Apply Patch 2084821 or
    later.
Someone else tried the following :
Change the following profile option :
TP:Server Side Online Processing = No
    and this solved their problem.
Try it out and check whether this resolves your issue.

  • GATP Product allocation status report and backorder processing

    Dear Experts,
We are using product allocation as the first and only step in GATP check.
    The scenario is like this:
Sales order total quantity = 200
    Planned allocation quantity=150
    Thus
    Confirmed sales order quantity=150
    Questions:
1.Now how can see the confirmed/unconfirmed situation for all sales orders.
    Is there any standard report.
I understand that this report need to show the planned allocation quantity, total sales order quantity and the confirmed sales order quantity may be bucket wise. Also this report can show the details of all sales orders in the bucket.
The GATP planning book only shows confirmed sales orders in the "sales order" keyfigure until you have introduced another order series key figure for sales order(not related to GATP) which has sales order/scheduling agreement category group assigned to it.
2.Can I do backorder processing of sales orders assuming that after the above report is run,I have changed the planned allocation quantity from 150 to 200 and I need that the sales order can be confirmed now by this program rather than by going into ECC and triggering the GATP check again.
Note that the stock availability situation may remain the same.
Request you to kindly suggest if this is possible in backorder processing. If yes, then what are the settings and the transactions to execute this.
    Thanks,
    Chandan

Thanks so much Michael for a prompt reply.
    Couple of points.
1./sapapo/ac42-This report is helpful but this has 2 issues.
It has to be run at individual CVC level. Thus it is not a comprehensive report.
It does not provide sales order original quantity. It just provides the planned allocation quantity, confirmed sales order quantity and the remaining quantity. This is normally already available in interactive planning of GATP planning area.
What we need is a report which must say what is the original sales order quantity and how much has been confirmed and how much is the bucket planned allocation quantity.
2.Running ATP in product view or interactive backorder processing view may not help as they seem to be working with ATP group and not with check mode.Note that product allocation gets triggered when check mode comes into play.
Do you know if we can make it work with check mode.
3.The batch backorder processing is working when I am using the "update changes" option.I am still evaluating the results as I don't understand many settings here.It will be nice if you can elaborate on some of the settings used in this transaction please.
    Thanks again.
