Backup job stuck in running state
Hi
I am using 11gR2 RAC on Windows 2008 R2. I have several different database jobs stuck in a running state. However if I check the view v$session_longops I can not see anything in there relating to RMAN. If I drill down to the job and the step that is running, in the Error Log it states:
error writing input to command
Could someone point me in the right direction as to how to investigate this?

if you know that the execution finished or is hung,use this query:

Risk Analysis Batch Job Stuck in Ready State
Hi,
I am not able to schedule Risk Analysis Batch job in RAR.The job is getting stuck on READY state(for unlimited period) and not performing any actions.
Nothing is displayed under job history or job logs with job ID.I have check background job demaon ,connectors and other miscell. options but not abl to find any clue.
Even i am executing risk analysis for single user,it's not happening.

MukeshFor your problem, of job not getting schedule....it seems Deamon is not running.
To delete status of job which are in hung status
change VIRSA_CC_SCHEDULER job id should with status five will show job aborted.
are you using connection type 'Adaptive RFC', don't use it, use SAP JCO.
and restart your GRC box.

Crystal reports run through infoview stuck in running state
We have some Crystal reports that are executed via InfoView that contain calls to function modules in SAP R/3. Out of 200-300 exectutions, we will get one or two of them that get stuck in a "running" state and they never complete. When we reschedule the report they complete in a few seconds. Has anyone else experienced this? We're trying to determine if it's a problem on the BOE side or in the gateway in R/3. Again, 99% of the time the reports work, but just an occasional one or two get stuck each day. We are using BOE XI 3.1 SP3.

Instances stuck in running state--please help
Hi,
We have a composite with all synchronous processes with synchronous calls.
We have a lot of running instances in the EM console and when we check the audit trail and the flow of many instances, the flow is completed successfully but the instances are still present in the running state. Many of the instances are in between the flow and are not completing at all. They are stuck at that point and never complete.
This we assume was due to some abnormal activity like the database being full or shutting down of composite when bpel instances were in running state.
Can anyone tell me why such kind of thing had happened and how to handle these cases.

I am assuming that you are also working with SOA Suite 11g.
I too had the same issue and was tuning the Bpel Engine but i was not able to get rid of it .
When i submitted a SR they responded that it was bug in 11.1.3 and they are working on it.
Hoping that we would get a patch soon.

Data Warehouse Jobs stuck at running - Since February!
Folks,
My incidents have not been groomed out of the console since February. I ran the Get-SCDWJob and found most of the jobs are disabled. See below. I've tried to enable all of them using PowerShell and they never are set back to Enabled.
No errors are present in the Event log. In fact, the Event log shows successfully starting the jobs.
I've restarted the three services. Rebooted the server.
I've been using this blog post as a guide.

Actually your syntax is exactly right for running a single run-immediate job.
it looks like the slave running your job may have crashed or terminated unexpectedly. You should do a stop_job (force=>true) on your job and you should look through your job slave trace files j0trc for reasons why your job slave did not finish the job. You can also try grepping your job slave traces for the job name 'TEST_JOB' to find the right trace.

ODI 11g Scheduled job stays in running state
Hello All ,
In ODI operator in the integration process ,there arer 3 scenarios scheduled .
When the first is completed it switches to second ,but the next step/process keep running and never comes to an end,though the corresponding backend activity has been completed(which the scenario is supposed to do).
Which ultimately results into timeout.
Please suggest a solution for this.

11G R2 How to stop the backup job totally
I have a third party application connected to 11G R2 database and is having issue every morning at 2. After applying the patch from the third part application, most of the issues are resolved. Unfortunately, I still get an ORA-12528 error - Failed to connect to database instance. Look like the third party application is having issue with the backup job. I have tried the command "alter tablespace tsname flashback off", but I check the alert log, the backup job is still running. I may have turn on the backup job during the database installation. How do I stop it?

- JohnnySorry, I forgot to add "alter database flashback off "command on top of the other one. The third party application is basically a monitoring and scheduler tool. It uses JBOSS and TOMCAT connecting to the database using both jdbc and odcb. It doesn't store a lot of data. Here is the alert email I got this morning:

Automating RMAN backup jobs in Windows
First off: THANK YOU to Ahmer Mansoor, EdStevens, and jgarry for helping me get my RMAN backup jobs up and running in this thread: Oracle 10g on Windows Server off-line database backup - a few questions You were a big help and provided very valuable advice!
Now I'd like to automate it. My plan is below - please let me know what you think. The four files will be run in this order.
ShutdownDB1.bat
set oracle_sid = pldg
C:\oracle\product\10.2.0\bin\sqlplus.exe /nolog @c:\oraclebackup\shutdowndb2.sql
ShutdownDB2.sql (called by the previous batch file)

We are using 12c oms and I just submitted some backup jobs for several databases. I have both 10g and 11g databases with backup jobs configured to run. I had no problems submitting the jobs but when I checked the status the next day I get this weird error message. Any help sorting this out would be appreciated. XS Scheduled Job stuck in state "RUNNING"
Hello guys,
I am running HANA Dev Edition on AWS (Rev. 70). There is a .xsjs file which is called every 5 minutes by the xs job scheduler.
However after shutdown on Tuesday and startup on Friday the job did not start correctly (?)
I am pretty sure the job isn't running any more - the instance has been stopped another time in the meantime and the HANA Database was restarted, too.
The question is: How can I reset the job? While the last run is in state RUNNING, the next one won't be scheduled. I tried removing the "active" flag in XS-Admin and setting it again but without success.
Should I try an update on "_SYS_XS"."JOB_LOG" and set STATUS to 'SCHEDULED'?
Any hints are appreciated,

the script allow you to backup each database within your instance of SQL Server.
Your account need to have read and right permission to the path file.
If the above script can run well directly, then you can create a job and put your backup statement inside of it. There is a similar detail about how to create a simple backup job in SQL Server. You can review it.

OIM server not running, stuck in starting state
I have started OIM server through cmd , but its not going to running state, and its stuck to starting only.
Kindly suggest
KKis there any error?
try once by deleting temp files in oim_server.
