Balances load to PCA

Hi,
As of now we are using Business Area concept. Now we implemented Profit Center Account. But how can we load the Previous year data and previous data which was posted before Profit Center implementation?
Kindly help me how to upload Balances for PCA..
Thanks
Sunil Pal Raj

Hi,
Customize document type and assign it to number range
IMG-Controlling-Profit Center Accounting-Actual Postings-Basic Settings: Actual
Create or choose from existing Layouts:
IMG-Controlling-Profit Center Accounting-Actual Postings-Manual Entry using a Layout
Create required number of Profit centers(e.g. INITAL1, INITIAL2) for uploading previous year data
And do it in tcode 9KE0.
Example
Dr Expense account   PC  Admin
Cr Expense account   PC  Initial1
where PC Admin real "PC" and PC initial1 just for uploading.
But be aware that this data not appear in FI releted tables like BSEG

  • Initial Balance Loading for Oracle Payroll - US Legislation

    Dears,
We are in process of Oracle Payroll implementation for US Legislation R12.1.3, any i have Questions related to initial Balance Loading:
1- It is a mandatory Step to set initial values for the legislative defined balances?
2- What is the aim for this step?
3- What is the impact if we ignore this step?
      4- Steps?
5- What is the Elements i need to initial values for the balances?
6- What is the Balances i need to initialize for each elements?
Note: kindly note that i read related Metalink posts, but i need it more clearly.
    Please advice, it is Urgent
    Thank you

    1.     Prepare your Balances data with the following Details and build Batches.
    pay_balance_batch_lines
    (assignment_id, balance_dimension_id,
    balance_type_id, payroll_action_id, batch_id,
    batch_line_id, batch_line_status, VALUE,
    assignment_number,
    balance_name, dimension_name,
    gre_name, jurisdiction_code,
    original_entry_id, tax_unit_id,upload_date
    2.     Run the Initial Balance Structure Creation Program.
This program defines/creates the Element for Initial Balance Feed to all the Balances involved in the Batch.
    3.     Run the Initial Balance Upload Program in Validate Mode
This program when run in Validate Mode, validates the Batch to look for Errors if any. No Balances are loaded into the system.
    4.     Once the Initial Balance Upload Program completes successfully in Validate Mode then Run the Initial Balance Upload Program in Transfer Mode.
    5.     If you run into Errors then Run the Initial Balance Upload Program in Undo Transfer Mode, fix the issues and start from step 2 else Process Completed!!!
All the Legislative Balances need to be uploaded correctly. there is a long list of Fed, SS, Medicare and State/Local Balances for US.
We had challenges with Pre Tax Deductions that didn't update the Fed, SS and Med Taxable Wages correctly and had to make many Adjustments end of the Year.
Do a Regular Batch Balance Adjustments if possible, this will be a simple activity and will assure you that all Tax Balances will be accurate.
Initial Balance uploads cann't be archived, so there Balances will be missing in your Reportigns based on Archived data in pay_Action_information

  • Transferring Bal sheet balances online to PCA

    Hi All
What is the procedure to transfer opening balances for Bal Sheet to PCA if the online transfer indicator is already on and postings have already beeen made before the additional balance sheet accounts were specified in customising (t-code 3KEH)?

If you can identify the documents that were posted before the you switched on the flag, you can go to SPRO> CO > PCA > tools > Prepare production startup
From here, depending on where the documents originated from you can transfer them selectively to PCA. (assuming company has not been set to productive)
    OR
Other option, delete all the data and do the above steps (without bothering about what has already been transferred and what hasnt
    OR
find out what has not gone to PCA and post PCA documetns (single sided entries) (9kE0) to plug in the difference to match FI to PCA.
Before deciding any of these, please test out in a copy of your PRD system.
    Hope this helps

  • Balancing load over DSL cards

I need help.I'm trying to configure one FastEthernet with 5 Vlans, and need to do traffic balancing over two Dsl cards. How can I do it?
I have attached the config of my router.
    Thanks in advance.

Just saw this duplicate post with the configs ;)
    ip route 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 ATM0/0/0.1
    ip route 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 ATM0/1/0.1
this means you are already load balancing!
Do you have any reason to believe the loadbalancing is not happening?

  • Calculate cumulative balance in the PCA query

    Hello All
    1. I have a requirement where I have to calculate the 'Cumulative Balance' at a G/L Account, Fiscal Year/Period Level for PCA data.
    2. I am not able to find any source field in R/3 so that I can simply enhance the 0EC_PCA_3 extractor and get it into the PCA cube.
    3. The basic logic is:
I have 0CREDIT and 0DEBIT KFs in my cube.
                   The difference of  0CREDIT & 0DEBIT = Balance (ie. credit + debit)
But, Cumulative Balance (say for period 1/2010) = Balance for 1/2009 + Cumulative balance for 12/2008 (year end)
Another ex, Cumulative Balance (say for period 2/2010) = Balance for 2/2009 + Cumulative balance for 1/2009
(NOTE: If we go back to the first period when SAP went live in this company, ex: 01/2002 then will see that the:
Cumulative balance for 01/2002 = Balance for 01/2002 + 0 (since there is no prior ***. balance)
    4. I can clearly see that I cant do this in the cube by using ABAP, since its granularity goes to Accounting Doc, Material level (ie item level).
    5. So I have to do this on the fly in the BEx Query, by writing a customer exit. I dont think simple offsetting variables would work either.
Can anyone give me a possible solution to the above problem?
    Regards.

hi is your problem solved , if so please describe here.

  • VDI Broker not balancing load over hosts

    Hi,
I have a strange problem. Recently we added another host into our 2012 R2 VDI environment. We have approximately 50 desktops deployed over both hosts. The deployment of the collection and adding vm's works fine and I can see desktops from the collection
over both. When people connect it always seems to place the users on host1, never on host2.  Host1 has approx 20 desktops running with 0 on host2 right now.
I can't see any errors in the logs, and I'm a bit mystified as to why i do not get any connections on host2? How can i try and track down what it is up to?
I think i've read before that the broker uses active machines/sessions as its basis so 15 vs 0 should definitely be enough to move new sessions to host2 i would think.
    Thanks for any pointers...

    Hi David,
Thank you for posting in Windows Server Forum.
From your description it seems that there is load balance issue for host servers. The connection is not getting load balanced. I think there is some misconfiguration takes place during the configuration.
Have you configure RD RAP policy?

  • Zero Balancing Account for PCA in ECC6.00

    Hi All,

could you please tell me the what are the implications if i create this zero balancing account as balance sheet.
but as per the best practice it should be the P&L without cost element.
    regards,

It should be a balance sheet account, It is kind of like a Intra company clearing account and also a clearing account cannot be a profit and loss account. Any how this account should be zero at company code level.

  • Load balancing in Tuxedo 9.1 and RAC

    Hello to all,
I have some doubts on the way of balancing load in tuxedo 9.1 and RAC (Oracle 10gR2).
Before, without RAC our configuration was the following one:
    GRP_A: service A001, service A002
    GRP_B: service B001, service B002
Both groups were attacking the same BBDD, Now with the configuration in RAC we have the following thing:
We have two intances RAC: ORARAC1 and ORARAC2
    TUXRACGROUPS=GRP_A1, GRP_B1; GRP_A2, GRP_B2
The groups GRP_A1 = GRP_A2 and GRP_B1 = GRP_B2, but the groups GRP_A1 and GRP_B1 use the instance ORARAC1 and GRP_A2 and GRP_B2 use the instance ORARAC. Summarizing:
    GRP_A1: service A001, service A002 (ORARAC1)
    GRP_B1: service B001, service B002 (ORARAC1)
    GRP_A2: service A001, service A002 (ORARAC2)
    GRP_B2: service B001, service B002 (ORARAC2)
    Have formed the variable TUXRACGROUPS=GRP_A1, GRP_B1; GRP_A2, GRP_B2
How is Tuxedo balancing the traffic?
    1) Does not balance load between RACGROUPS?
    2) Does it use RAC.. as favourite?
    3) Does the RACGROUPS balance when it's overlaeded or always?
    3) Does the same algorithm uses that LDBAL?, if this is affirmative, is it necessary to have formed in the ubb LDABL=Y?
    4) Tuxedo uses an algorithm of round-robin?
    5) others
I have looked for information but I have not found any information that could help to understanding it.
    Thanks in advance
    P.D.: Excuse my english :(

There is Oracle RAC routing information available at
    http://e-docs.bea.com/tuxedo/tux91/ads/adorac.htm#248431
If you are not running in a transaction, then the TUXRACGROUPS environment
variable will not be relevant and routing will be handled as it would be if
this environment variable were not set.
Assuming that GRP_A1 and GRP_A2 are the only groups that offer services A001
and A002 and GRP_B1 and GRP_B2 are the only groups that offer services B001
and B002, routing of service requests made within a transaction will be
    handled as follows:
    - Any call to A001 or A002 made within a transaction with an even GTRID
counter value will be handled by GRP_A1. (The GTRID counter value is the
last of the 3 hexadecimal numbers printed in the ULOG for messages printed
    within that transaction.)
    - Any call to A001 or A002 made within a transaction with an odd GTRID
counter value will be handled by GRP_A2.
    - Any call to B001 or B002 made within a transaction with an even GTRID
counter value will be handled by GRP_B1.
-Any call to B001 or B002 made within a transaction with an odd GTRID
counter value will be handled by GRP_B2.

  • Transferring AP,AR balances to PCA

    Hi all,
while transferring the AR, AP balances to PCA using 1KEK, the balances of GL account in FS10N and balance transferred to PCA through 1KEK are not equal, there is difference between these two amounts.
Can any one tell me what will be the reason for that.
Actually we have observed this dfference in the last month trsnferring amounts, but the difference existed from the beginning of the fiscal year.

  • PCA for Full Balance Sheet Accounting

    Dear SAP Guru,
We're currently in 4.7. We've implemented PCA for Profit and Loss Accounting. There's business requirement to produce Full Balance Sheet Accounting in PCA, i.e. the one similar to Business Area. Can the standard PCA module (in 4.7) support Full Balance Sheet Accounting? If can, what are the settings and steps that need to be configured in the system? Thanks in advance for your assistance.

    Hello,
you can get the full balance sheet from PCA.
    The steps are:
    1. You must make sure that you have completed financial statement version (OB58).
    2. Copy this account groups to PCA. (Please check the paths to copy the FSV to your PCA.
    3. See the available reports in KE80. One of the report must suit your requirement.
    4. If they are not suitable to your requirement, create your own balance sheet format (using form and report) - Report painter.
    Hope this helps you.

  • Oracle RAC Concept  - load balancing

    Hello All,
I have a question about Oracle RAC and how it balance loading.
What I know about Oracle RAC that it balancing load between its node, so if a new session is connected to the Database it will execute on the node which have less load.
If I am having an application that connects to the database with few number of sessions and some sessions have huge (huge load) processes to execute while the other sessions are executing small process (in terms of load).
So below is an example scenario that i am asking for an answer of it:
if am having a two node RAC database.
My application that is connected to this RAC database wants to execute three processes P1, P2 and P3 each will have a session correspondingly S1, S2 and S3
Let is say that P1 will take 60% of the database resources (memory ....) and P2 will take 1% and P3 1%.
So my question is it a sessions load balancing or Processes load balancing ? So in case and randomly (Managed by ORACLE RAC) S1 is connected to node 1 and it is using node 1 resources so the load on node 1 will be 60%, so when S2 and S3 needs to connect it will go to node 2 since node 1 is loaded. in that case i will have Node 1 using 60% of it is resources (becuase of S1 that is executing P1) while node 2 only uses 2 % (because of S2 and S3 that is executing P2 and P3).
Is that how Oracle RAC works ? or it balance the load of S1 (60%) between node 1 and node 2 ?
I am asking this question since my application is not users application, so it will connect to the database with few number of sessions, and 1 session of them may execute a huge process while the other are executing small processes.
So in that case, how RAC is doing the balance loading?

  • Load Balancing with 10g RAC

    Hi,
I have one query regarding balancing load with RAC.
We have some batch processes executed from shell script in Oracle RAC environment where a separate node is used for failover only. There are some issues related with performance. We are looking for a solution to utilize 'idle' node used for failover to resolve this issue.
I want to know whether the below mentioned scenario is possible to achieve with 10gRel2 RAC.
A batch process is running and it is utilizing all resources (CPU) of instance 1, then it is possible by any means that this process be split and distributed to idle instance 2 on another node?
    Looking for expert advice.
    Regards
    Amit

    Hi Amit,
I;ve done lots of RAC implementations, and it;s critical to set-up the primary node accordig to the "type" of table access. For example, cistomer queries on node 1, order queries on node 2, etc. Minimizing pinging is very important!
Staring in Oracle 10g release 2, Oracle JDBC and ODP.NET provide connection pool load balancing facilities through integration with the new “load balancing advisory” tool. This replaces the more-cumbersome listener-based load balancing technique.
    I have more notes here:

  • Load Balancing, User Visible Service objects, Runningman

    1. Load Balancing
Load Balancing a partition has nothing to do with single or multi-threaded
behaviour of that partition. If you load balance a partition it means that
you can start 1 or more copies of that partition. How many to start can be
specified. If the partition is load balanced there will be router partition
that routes calls to any of the services in that partition.
Now let us look at a special kind of partition (load balanced partition
that has an Env visible SO and a user visible DbSession). This is one of
the design patterns to acccess the database efficiently. Each of these
partitions are single threaded because DbSession is inherently single
threaded. This partition is single threaded because Dbsession is single
threaded and not because the partition is replicated.
Another case is when you make a partition load balanced and it has only
SO(s) made out of tool classes and does not have Dbsessions then each of
these partitions can run multi-threaded beacuse there are no
single-threaded objects to make the partition single threaded
    2. User Visibility
Case A - If you have only User visible SO(s) in a partition then each
behaves like a global named object. Whoever accesses it will get a copy of
    their own.
Case B - If you have a user visible SO and an Env Visible SO in the same
partition then the user visible SO will be private to the partition and
cannot be accessed from outside that partition.
    3. Running Man
When you run an application by clicking on the running man Forte uses its
default partitioning scheme and runs the application. The partition scheme
that you made will be used only when you run the application distributed or
from the partition workshop. This is the time you might encounter errors if
    your partitioning is not right.
    Hope this helps.
    Nirmal

    Don,
You are right. I should have said - Forte uses its own partitioning scheme
not the default scheme you see when you open partition workshop.

Actually, clicking on the "running man" from the repository or project

    it distributed.
It's not technically correct to say that the default partitioning schemeis
    used with the running man.
Forte consulting offers a deployment workshop that covers the finerpoints

  • Load balancing not functioning

Is load balancing actually supposed to load balance? I have two servers in the failover group, with 125 DTUs on one and 0 on the second one. The documentation is a little vague on this and it says that the load balancing will only take effect if one server goes down (meaning if you have three equal servers and one drops the new connections will be distributed across the two remaining servers).
Is there a way to balance between my two Sun servers?

Yes, load balancing is supposed to balance load. This is not restricted to the case of failover.
But load balancing happens only at certain times in the lifecycle of connections/sessions. It can occur when a DTU connects, when a smart card is inserted or removed, when a user logs out or when a kiosk session exits. For a new connection or token, it obviously occurs only when there is not yet a (non-"idle") session for the connecting token. Load balancing happens before the login prompt is shown, so if the client sits showing a login prompt for a long time, it will not be rebalanced when the user actually turns up and logs in. (Only with NSCM there may be load balancing after the user has entered her name.) Load balancing does not happen, if the user never logs out or if a kiosk session never exits. This includes cases where a kiosk session loops internally between user sessions instead of exiting - that is one of the reasons for the '-t timeout' option of the Sun Ray Windows Connector kiosk session type.
Sessions may accumulate on one server as you describe, if you don't use mobile sessions (smart cards or NSCM) and your users rarely log out or your kiosk session never exits. You may easily get into this situation, if one server is down or slow to come up when all the DTUs connect after a cold (re)start or other downtime.
Other reasons why loadbalancing may fail are:
    - The server group isn't formed properly. The servers page in the admin GUI or the utgstatus(1M) command must show all servers in the group as trusted, online, up and available. (This must be true from either server.)
    - You forgot to include the -g option to utpolicy(1M), when setting server policy on the command line.
    - You manually edited the auth.props(4) file and disabled it.
