Bankname using PLD

Hello,
I've couple of issues on PLD - Customer Receivable Aging template
1. I've tried to insert the House Bank name in the Customer Receivable Aging.
Selecting as source type'Database' then the OCRD table (Business Partner) and the Column 'Housebank' displays just the BankCode, not the Bankname.
Any suggestion?
2. Based on the Housebank, I'd like to retrieve the IBAN Code associated to it in order to display it on the report. I couldn't find any way to do it.
Any suggesiton?

Hi Andrea,
Try using the following fields to see if it resolves your issue:
source type 'Database' then the 'Bank Codes' table and the Column 'Bank Name'
source type 'Database' then the 'Bank Codes' table and the Column 'IBAN'
I haven't tried putting these fields on the report before so i don't know if it will pull through the exact data you require.

Hi,
You can create queries using the Query Generator or the Query Wizard tools.
After you have created your own queries, you can link them to a required print layout.
for user reports.Look at:
Tools --> Queries --> Query Print Layout
Set there your query reports.
Printing User-Defined Queries
After you had linked a user-defined query to a user report template, you can now print it
according to its linked print layout.
There are two ways for printing your user-defined queries.
1. Using the Query Print Layout window:
Select from the upper menu Tools 􀃆 Queries 􀃆 Query Print Layout.
Click the Reports tab page.
Click to highlight the required query you would like to print.
Click on the printer icon or select from the upper menu File 􀃆 Print.
The user-defined query is printed according to its linked print layout.
2. Using the Queries Manager window:
Click the Queries Manager icon on the upper tool bar.
Click to highlight the required query you would like to print.
Click on the printer icon or select from the upper menu File 􀃆 Print.
The user-defined query is printed according to its linked print layout.
Note! You can also print preview user-defined queries. Do so by selecting the Print
Preview option as described in the methods above for printing your query.

How to print Warranty (Duration) on Delivery Note using PLD

Hi,
How can I print Warranty (No. of Months) on Delivery Note using PLD. Warranty is already defined in a service template which is assigned to Item Master record.
when i try to print "duration" from OCTT is shows all the duration values set in all service templates with the combination of all the items in the delivery note. Please help me. I am working on SAP B1 2007 A PL47.

Its Very Easy just Follow the Steps:
Create One DB field in Repetative area0 - Table -octt(contract Temp) Column- Duration(Duration of Coverage)
Check the Item code Field or Item description field for EX( F_123), then in Duration DB field - Go to Properties -Field in that - General - Lint to - connect the ( F_123), code Field or Item description field for EX( F_123),
So it will show automatically Duration of the Item which was connected in master data.
It works perfectly in 2007B PL 10.

Dear Experts,
How can I get the details of a sales quotation of my client displayed as in its desired output by using the PLD of SBO2007A SP01 PL08. If the desired output can't be achieved using PLD, what are the other reporting/printing tools to be used?
This is ASAP, please help.

Create a a formula field and Concatenate("Item Code")+ Repeatative field and hide all the other field in the repeatative are except this THREE FIELDS AS YOU WANT...

Problem to retrieve a Quantity Total using PLD in a Sales Order

Hi,
I'm working with PLD, and I'm managing a Sales Order.
I have three line, the first one is a Bill Of Material with two 'sons', and the other two are their sons. I have 1 qty for all the lines, and when I print the preview with PLD, the sum of the col qty is equal to 3. My customer don't want to have qty for the item = bill o f materials, so in this example he want to see a total of qty equal to 2.
How can I do? If I use ColSum("") property, I retrieve, in every case, a total of 3.

A simple solution would be an UDF for the quantity so that you can control the UDF column total easily.

Print AP Invoice Details on nCHeck using PLD

My end user would like to print the AP Invoice Details on the check stub using the PLD. I can not seem to find the table that contains the Invoice Detials when trying to Add a Database field to the check printing form. My customer when entering a Credit Card statement, enters each line/charge from the statement into the AP invoice and assigns each line to an expense accout. They would like the lines printed on the check. That is each individual expensed line from th eAP Invoice to be displayed on the check stub. Usually a check displays 1 summary line for each invoice on the stub, but the end user would like to display this extra detail. Is this possible using the PLD and if so how do I gain access to the AP Invoice details in the PLD.

Try to ALT + Click the arrow down combo box of the Database then the tables, the Alt + click will show all the tables in the tables. Hope you find it the information.

Using PLD to print Day of Week (Monday,Tuesday,Wednesday,etc.)

Is there anyway to convert a datebase date format from
10/08/2008 to either 'Friday, October 10, 2008' or to just
"Friday'

There is a Function MonthName() which shows the Month Name. There are no fuctions to dispaly Day Name.
The better work around is to have some UDF in the B1 Screen and use FMS to show the Day Name in the UDF and print the UDF in PLD.

SG printed as SG instead of the whole name Singapore whrn using PLD

We encounter an error in PLD. When bussiness partner has bill to address in SG. our PLD is printing this country as SG intead of the whole name Singapore
We currently using 2005B singapore Localization.

there u have to select the country field and check the description check box.

Setting form length using PLD

I am trying to print checks using the PLD on an OKIData pit feed printer. The checks are not standard length, that is, the checks are not 8.5 in by 11 (letter). Is there a way I can specify the form length in the PLD? I have already changed the Form Height on the Paper Format tab in the Documents Properties and this did not seem to have any impact on the Form length.
Any ideas or sugestions would be appreciated!!!

I am still having the form print as an 8.5 x 11 form even though I selected the correct printer and selected the appropriate form lenght. I will have to look at the printer set up in windows. I am probably missing something very obvious

How to copy Report from another company (using PLD)

Hi..
i create a new company, with empty data.
Because i stop the training company and now start with live company.
In training company, i created so many report, and now i must copy the reports to live company.
I try to open two SAP window, and i open Print Layout Designer (PLD). Then i try to select all and copy then i switch to PLD in live company, but i cant paste it.
So.. how to solve this problem?

How to add logo to documents using PLD ?

Hi all,
Sorry i am sure this is an easy question but can anyone point my in the direction of the instructions on how to place a logo onto a printed document?
I have added a picture field and then set the source type,table ,column etc and placed the bitmap logo in the bitmap folder in my SAP B1 folder but it is not being shown when i print preview?

Hi!
Your Client PC should have full Access to the Bitmap Path and it should Connect to the Server automatically when Client Machine Started.
Try this,
On your Cliet Machine > Open > Run >
ServerName or ServerIP, Connect to the Server. Now try the print preview

How to add field in existing PLD

Hi expert,
I have some problem,
Due to the crystal report can not automatically print in journal voucher ( Need to fill the docKey@ ) , So i decided to print preview using PLD system. The problem is in the existing PLD i want to add profit center,project, and 2 udf which i get the information from table BTF1.
I have add and save it. But when i print preview the sap become out of the memory or error.
Do you know how to solve it ?
actually i also use the related feature. but it's fail.

Hi Rahul,
i have already try to use in CR. But in CR i face a problem.
The CR doesn't automatic print when i print for example journal voucher no 1. i have already select the record in journal voucher no 1 but when i click print preview , the CR ask me to fill the dockey again. It is not like the other document which always automatic print. So, in Journal voucher can not automatic print , if i use CR. This issue i have post in this thread. Passing parameter Journal voucher to Crystal report. But still do not find the solution.
Because i don't have any idea in CR. So i move to PLD.
In PLD , i just add some field from the existing PLD system. But i also face another problem.
I can not add profit code, project, and 2 UDF. Actually the fields is in table BTF1. ( Journal voucher row) i just add beside the Credit field in PLD. But until now i still can not print preview using PLD.
Do you have any solution ?

A/R invoice+payment and A/R invoice PLD reports

We are using PLD to generate our reports. Our A/R Invoice+payment report is different from our AR invoice. We have designed to report formats for this in PLD. However, PLD allows to preview only one report that has been made default. Is there an option that we can use to select the type of report to print especially for these reports?

I don't think there is any alternative way beside selecting PLD everytime you print the layout .
I believe it is done by same person (both A/R+ payment and A/R invoice )
If not you can do :
1. make your PLD default by user or
2. In most cases ,only few customer pays right away , you can set PLD default by Business partner or customer who does that

I'm going to modify an existing report using PLD. I've added a database field. But the tables available in the Content Tab is limited. How can I get other tables to map a column with that field?
I can use Query Print Layout but is there any other way to modify the existing report?

to clarify what Sridharan, has suggested press the ALT + Click on the data tab ->> file then all the tables in the database will be available to choose. all u have to do is press the ALT + click simultineously.

My customer want to print the form. How can i do ????
I created a query in Query manager and i create Query Print Layout but i can't used it with <CTRL-P> command.
How can i used it when i print my form ??
So, i want to use PLD but .... It is normal that the menu "Print Layout Designer" was not accessible for the customize form ??

I'm create a form xwith Screen Painter. I add a print button on my form.
So i want to print my form correctly. When i'm use File/Print, i have the Print preferences where i can choose to print Window or Table but the print page is horrible.
With my form, i can't use the tool Print Layout Designer and i don't understand why ? So how can i do to print correctly my form ???
