Setting form length using PLD

I am trying to print checks using the PLD on an OKIData pit feed printer.  The checks are not standard length,  that is,   the checks are not 8.5 in by 11 (letter).  Is there a way I can specify the form length in the PLD?  I have already changed the Form Height on the Paper Format tab in the Documents Properties and this did not seem to have any impact on the Form length.
Any ideas or sugestions would be appreciated!!!
Thanks in advance!!
Dana

I am still having the form print as an 8.5 x 11 form even though I selected the correct printer and selected the appropriate form lenght.  I will have to look at the printer set up in windows.  I am probably missing something very obvious
Again thanks for the response!! It was bvery helpful

  • How do I retain a PDF form widget's design when setting its value using Javacript in Acrobat?

    I've been experimenting with interactive PDF forms in InDesign and JS in Acrobat. I think I've encountered something that might be a bug: widget design is overriden when using Javascript to set the field's value in Acrobat. Here's what a checkbox, for example, should look like when checked:
    However performing:
    var f = this.getField("Checkbox");
    f.value = "Yes";
    in the JS Console results in the widget's appearance defaulting to acrobat's:
    I've tried every single widget property documented in Acrobat's Javascript API Reference to no avail. Initially, checking/unchecking using the mouse works fine. Once the value has been set using JS, Acrobat's default black check character is used for all subsequent toggling, including when using the mouse...
    How does InDesign export interactive PDFs with custom icons for widgets? Is there any way to enforce the use of those icons using JS in Acrobat Pro? What's the difference between selecting a checkbox or a radio button using the mouse and setting its value using JS?

    I thought it might be the case, too, but all widgets have the same properties both before and after setting the value with JS. I did this check using all documented properties in Acrobat JS Reference in an attempt to figure out what might be going on.
    By the way, I don't think Indesign necessarily uses glyphs for the checked state of widgets, although in this case a glyph is used (albeit with different stroke and fill colours for the glyph, acrobat doesn't allow setting these properties AFAIK). With Indesign CS6 it seems you can practically use any Indesign tool to design the widget's On and Off states. So I'm thinking that maybe Indesign exports these with button-like properties where there are no restrictions on appearance (I think there is an "icon" property/object for buttons or something like that). However Acrobat treats them as checkboxes, so if that is the case it is more of a hack. Is there a way to probe an object's various properties other than using JS or the properties pop-up dialog?

  • Anyone use acrobat 9 to set form fields that auto center?

    I am trying to set form fields for a form and am having trouble.  The input needs to go all the way to the left when done but spaced evenly ovver a set area.  This is confusing I know/  I have attached (2) samples.  # 1 is the way I want to be able to fill the form.  And # 2 is the form I am trying to set up.  Any help would be amazing.

    I think I have a working solution now, but for one problem.
    I have my remote page
    <!-- Start APP Area -->
    <center>
    <iframe name="appFrame" id="appFrame" width="860" height="600" src="http://serverx/register.asp" onload="setEmail();" >
    </iframe></center>
    <!-- End APP Area -->and my Javascript function in the page header
    <script type="text/javascript">
    function setEmail() {
      var emailVal = document.getElementById("P88_EMAIL").value;
      alert("Email: "+emailVal);
      var iframeElem = parent.document.getElementById("appFrame");
      iframeElem.contentDocument.getElementById('eAdr').value = emailVal; // error here
      alert("Email set?");
    </script>Problem now is that I get a access denied message from the remote server. This is might be to prevent some cross site scripting. Because the ApexServer tries to access methods on the remote server.
    Fehler: <http://apexServer> wurde die Erlaubnis für das Lesen der Eigenschaft HTMLDocument.getElementById von <http://serverx> verweigert.
    Translated
    Error: <http://apexServer> does not have the permission to read the attribute HTMLDocument.getElementById of <http://serverx>.
    So I will have to talk with some sysadmins to see if they can add some exceptions to the firewall rules. Not sure which rules excactly prevent this, but there should be a way to circumvent the error.
    Or does anyone have a different idea how to solve this?

  • New customized report using PLD or QUERY PRINT LAYOUT to show customers onl

    I am working with a Software Developing firm as an SAP Consultant.
    Please tell me how to create a new     customized     report displaying various details as required by the client in the report using PLD or Query Print Layout.
    Please help me asap.

    Hi,
    You can create queries using the Query Generator or the Query Wizard tools.
    After you have created your own queries, you can link them to a required print layout.
    for user reports.Look at:
    Tools --> Queries --> Query Print Layout
    Set there your query reports.
    Printing User-Defined Queries
    After you had linked a user-defined query to a user report template, you can now print it
    according to its linked print layout.
    There are two ways for printing your user-defined queries.
    1. Using the Query Print Layout window:
    • Select from the upper menu Tools &#1048774; Queries &#1048774; Query Print Layout.
    • Click the Reports tab page.
    • Click to highlight the required query you would like to print.
    • Click on the printer icon or select from the upper menu File &#1048774; Print.
    • The user-defined query is printed according to its linked print layout.
    2. Using the Queries Manager window:
    • Click the Queries Manager icon on the upper tool bar.
    • Click to highlight the required query you would like to print.
    • Click on the printer icon or select from the upper menu File &#1048774; Print.
    • The user-defined query is printed according to its linked print layout.
    Note! You can also print preview user-defined queries. Do so by selecting the Print
    Preview option as described in the methods above for printing your query.
    Btw, you could search the manual training files relate to query PLD in http://www.service.sap.com/smb
    Rgds,

  • Can you create a form not using a php script?

    I need to create a contact us form on my website using DW and have researched how and understand the easiest way is using a php script.  Unfortuntately, my webhost server does not support this and will charge me an arm and a leg in order to to do it.  Is there another way to have a functioning contact form not using a php script?

    Yes and no.
    You could use a mailto link for your form action instead of a PHP script.
    There are several problems with this method though. First, when you do that, you are at the mercy of the viewer's computer set-up. Mailto links use whatever email client is installed on the machine in order to send the message. Public computers (libraries, colleges, etc) almost never have an email client installed, so when a viewer on one of those machines clicks the link, nothing happens. Secondly, your email address is open for spam harvesters, so you may end up with enlargement and nigerian scam emails flooding your inbox.
    Since your provider doesn't give you a way to do it the right way on your server, you may want to look into email form services online and see if they are less expensive than your current alternative.

    In method HMAC, you have towards the bottom

    catch(Exception e)

    It is not difficult to write your own encoder/decoder class, or borrow one from someone else. Just google on "java base64 encoder".

  • I have set form fields as User required and yet the form still prints/save when empty.

    I have set form fields as User required and yet the form still prints/save when empty. I also have an email button on the form but that works correctly by not allowing the user to email the form with the required fields empty.
    What script do I need to additionally restrict both printing and saving if the required fields are empty?
     You would think that just setting that option would restrict those functions the same as it does for the email button.
    Please be specific with your response if you are gracious enough to offer one. I have been searching the forum all morning for the answer to this and I really didn't understand any of the solutions offered to others enough to use those in my own form.
    The required fields are:
    Social (social security number)
    Name
    Headquarters
    Residence
    The next question I have is if there is a way to make individual signature fields mandatory if they are digital signatures?
     In other words, I don't want the individual to be able to email the form to the next person if he/she hasn't applied their digital signature.

    Saving can always be done, even when mandatory fields are empty.  This is by design.  And that is correct.  Suppose you have a big form and 2 people need to fill it out.  How can you fill out a first part and then send it to the second person without saving.
    Same for printing.  Same for your signature fields.
    What I would do, is to put a "watermark" on the form that you show on preSave and prePrint if the form is incomplete.  Just a static text on your form.  Then the user will see that they need to do more.  Also, on preSave and prePrint, you can show a warning popup to tell the user about the missing fields.  You can then still cancel their action if the user decides not to save/print anyway.

  • Where Web Dynpro Java version of Adobe Forms are used in ESS MSS

  • Sending PDF forms (created using SFP) as Email Attachment

    Hi,
         I have created bunch of ADOBE forms using SFP. They are not interactive forms. created using ADOBE Live cycle designer.
    I have the Function module and by executing I can view the PDF form in print preview mode. But I have to save this in backend and attach to email.
    I have a program that have to send one of the forms created in SFP as email attachment to outside SAP.
    Please advice how to achieve this.

  • How to print Warranty (Duration) on Delivery Note using PLD

    Hi,
    How can I print Warranty (No. of Months) on Delivery Note using PLD. Warranty is already defined in a service template which is assigned to Item Master record.
    when i try to print "duration" from OCTT is shows all the duration values set in all service templates with the combination of all the items in the delivery note. Please help me. I am working on SAP B1 2007 A PL47.

    Hi
    Its Very Easy just Follow the Steps:
    Create One DB field in Repetative area0 - Table -octt(contract Temp) Column- Duration(Duration of Coverage)
    Check the Item code Field or Item description field for EX( F_123), then in Duration DB field - Go to Properties -Field in that - General - Lint to - connect the  ( F_123), code Field or Item description field for EX( F_123),
    So it will show automatically Duration of the Item which was connected in master data.
    It works perfectly in 2007B PL 10.
    If issue Resolved pls close the thread

  • Trying to set Forms trace

    Hi
    I'm trying to set forms trace with 11G (currently I can execute forms and reports 11G without trace). I am trying to get to the Trace Configuration Page in 11G Fusion Middleware Control as described in the Forms Services Config guide, but under classicdomain I just see Application Deployments, Weblogic Domain and Reports, not Forms as is shown in the Oracle doc.
    So I can't get to the page yet as I say I can use Forms fine without trace
    Thanks for any guidance
    Chris

    Hi printspat,
    From what I gather, you have a payment method selected for your iTunes Store account which isn’t being accepted when setting up Family Sharing.
    Take a look at the he article linked below provides, which provides a lot of great information about Family Sharing, and make sure you're trying to use a valid payment method for setting up Family Sharing.
    Set up Family Sharing - Apple Support
    One adult in the family—the family organizer—can set up Family Sharing for the group from their iOS device or Mac. When you set up Family Sharing, you'll be asked to confirm that you agree to pay for purchases initiated by the family members you invite and that you have a valid payment method on file. Valid payment methods for setting up Family Sharing include credit cards and debit cards.*
    Cheers,
    -Jason

  • Some forms 10 use to much memory on the Midtier

    Hi!
    I've never used Oracle Forms before, but now have to administer them.
    We use IBM p5+ AIX + OAS 10.1.2.0
    Some forms sessions use about 300MB of virtual memory on the server. Imagine 25-30 such sessions on 8GB server and you'll understand that the problem is big.
    We are supposed to run 150 users concurrently, but now able only about 50.
    What is the best way to pinpoint memory hog?
    Is there a way to limit memory used by forms session on the midtier?
    Thanks in advance, Vlad.

    That sounds potentially excessive. You should contact Oracle Customer Support and have them analyze the situation. One thing that I think you should check before you call Oracle Support: Is the application calling out to Reports? If so, are you using the default method? The default method uses Java and on AIX that will start up a JVm for each Forms process that calls out to Reports and hold on to that JVM for the duration of the session. There is a workaround for that and Support will tell you how to set that up if when you call.
