BAPI assigned to Business Object

Hi All,
Can any one tell me how to find the Business object assigned to a BAPI. for example BAPI_PO_CREATE1 which business is assigned to this BAPI.
I want to know how to find the Business object.

Hi,
You can go inside the transaction called 'BAPI' and in the hierarchial view get inside the module under which the BAPI comes and then get to see the business object which is assigned to the BAPI.

Error Workflow not assigned to business object

Hi Team,
    I am working on CRM 7.0 system
     I have a Z business object ,and I have created a new workflow and called one of the method of the z business object.
And I am trying to trigger this workflow through a action definition based on status.while creating the action definition with respect to workflow I am getting the error "assigned BOR object type is not used in any workflows" no F4 values
      I have debugged and found that the entry in the table SWDSCNTIDX is not correct.
Kindly request you to guide me how to assign workflow to business object or how can I refer the workflow what I have created in action definition.

Hi,
You have to go the workflow change container element of that BOR e.g. "BUS2010030" and on tab "properties" check the checkbox "IMPORT" and "MANDATORY".
Doing the above BOR will be available in the F4 help of actions profile wizard or conditions.

can you tell us the name of the transaction in which you saw this field?
If it is in PO Creation or Change you can probably look at the bapis
BAPI_PO_CREATE or BAPI_PO_CHANGE

Assign methods to Business object

Can we assign a Method(BAPI) to no. of Business objects?

So i just want to know that is this possible that we specify a BO for the
workflow but do not specify the event.
Yes, To make things more clear BOR primarily is used to link and rasie the events that are defined in the BOR, but there might be cases where you might not have any events but still you need to start the workflow. The other purpose of the BOR is you create various methods in the BOR and you try to import and export differnet values and various manipulations are done with respect to the dat of the Business object instance.

Yes without any kind of start events you can start the workflow by making use of standard SAP provided function modules SAP_WAPI_START_WORKFLOW all you need to do is pass the workflow template number let say WS99999999 and the values that you want to pass to the workflow container by making use of the tables parameter of the function module simple_container. Its a kind of name/value table.
I tried doing it in BASIC DATA of workflow but it was not possible from there
In this kind of sitituation basic data does not have any kind of significance. All you have to do is try to find a point like when ever end user clicks on submit button or try to find a BADI' or enahncement spot where you can call the workflow by making use of above mentioned function module.
But make sure you have the right interface all the data available at that point where you are calling the function module this is because you may hvae to pass the respectve data to the workflow container.

Hi,
BAPI's are associated with Business Objects and also they are RFC enabled.
But RFC's are the FM's which can be called from external systems, those FM's can be used in many places based on the applications..

BAPIs or Function Modules for Links between different Business Objects

Hi experts,
I am accessing an SAP CRM 5.0 system from outside via remote function calls.
I have the GUID of a business partner and would like to find other business objects
that are related to this business partner.
For example:
- Which activities are relevant for this business partner?
- Which orders were placed by this business partner?
- Which leads or opportunities are linked to this business partner?
- Which products did this business partner order?
Is it possible to get this information by calling BAPIs or other RFC function modules?

After studying lots of documentation and trying to understand the BOL and GenIL concepts,
I finally found a function module which meets my demands. With function module
CRM_GENIL_GET_QUERY_RESULT you can execute a Search Object of the GenIL,
and it is remote-enabled.
By checking transaction GENIL_MODEL_BROWSER and choosing component set "ALL"
you get a list of all defined Search Objects. The Search Object that finds all orders of a
business partner is "BTQuery1O".

I am not sure whether customer BAPIs are displayed in the BAPI explorer at all. However, you could try to push the button with the filter icon and choose option "All (BAPIs)".

Hi All,
Is there any way by which we can search for all the BAPIs related to a particular Business Object?
For ex. can we write a report prgram through which we can search for BAPIs related to a Business Object.
Any pointers in this regard would really be helpful.

Hi,
we can get the List of BAPIs for a Object type in following way.
go to tcode - BAPI
there will two parts on the screen.
on left hand side select any object,
for eg - sales and distribution -> billing -> ItCustBillingDoc
now on right side select tab 'Tools', there select the icon 'Create BAPI LIST'.
then the selection parameters will be displayed.
Now click the Search button you will get the list of BAPI in that particular Object type.

BAPI's Business object not found in the search help of LSMW.

Hi,
I am loading Open sales contracts using LSMW BAPI method.
The business object for this is BUS2034 and the FM is BAPI_CONTRACT_CREATEFROMDATA.
But when i am selecting the Business object in LSMW, it is not appeared in the search help.
Is there any way to add the required Business object, Function module in LSMW manually?
Please suggest.

Have checked the entries in table TBDBA (BAPI ALE mapping) for this BO ? If this is not available, you may have generate "ALE interface for BAPI" using Transaction code BDBG.
P.S. See the code written in FM "/SAPDMC/LSM_F4_BUSOBJ" (Search help for BO) and read reference to table TBDBA in line number 54.

How to handle the events of business object (BAPI)

Hi,
How to register to BAPI event and handle?
For example, for a business object 'inv', there is an event as 'created'.
I want to insert entry in a z table when an inv is created.
I assume that the 'created' event is triggered when an inv is created.
How i can register to that event and handle that event so that i can
insert an entry in z table.
