BAPI calls in CRM marketlist BADI to create BP's not being triggered

Hi,
I have this BADI that I've implemented which contains
BAPIs to create/change BP organizations and persons.
Most of the code in there is copied from a standard
SAP BADI CRM_MKTLIST_BADI, and the method I'm working
on is CREATE_BUSINESS_PARTNERS.
I can debug this BADI only after assigning my user ID
a parameter ID and parameter value which lets me debug
the BADI through RFC on a separate screen. Now this
works fine with just the standard code in there.
However when I add a few additional BAPI's to
incorporate some changes, while de-bugging... at the
point when I'm calling the BAPI, the RFC debug screen
disappears and no changes occur to the transaction.
I'm not really sure if this is something to do with ABAP objects or CRM, however, if you are aware of any soltuion, please let me know ASAP.

Contacts created on iPhone not being added to Address Book

I want to sync all my Address Book contacts to the iPhone, which is working fine, but any contacts created on the iPhone are not copied to Address Book during syncing, which is rubbish.
In iTunes I currently have 'All contacts' selected for sync. Am I overlooking some iPhone setting somewhere?

I tried erasing all the phone data as you suggested, but to no effect whatsoever (apart from having to setup my email/wifi etc. all over again).
There's definitely something strange going on with the iPhone -> Mac connection. iPhoto shows the iPhone as being connected, even when it's not, and is still showing 23 pictures, which is what was on the phone before I reset it (they are now gone from the phone). iPhoto also calls it 'Apple iPhone', while I've changed the name to something else.
Calendar syncing is still functioning flawlessly, but contacts created on the phone are still not being transferred.
What's more, the contacts I added to the iPhone before I reset all the data were still on the phone afterwards.

Create user - email not being received

Sorry if it has been posted before but I've googled and searched this forum but haven't found the solution or understood the solution if I did in fact find it.
I'm trying to learn APEX at home and I am not a DBA!
I have Oracle 10g installed on my PC. After I finally got APEX 3.1 up and running, what a palaver that was, I have started to follow the 2DayPlus guide to give myself a grounding in the tool.
The first snag I have hit is I cannot see any emails that I assume the tool sends when you set up a user. This isn't a showstopper but it would be nice to see work as at some point I'll probably want to see if I can make an application send an email.
Assuming this is all GUI work, what type of user do I need to log on as and what screens do I need to navigate through to let Apex know the email details? If it is not GUI based then what do I need to do.
So far I have two entry points into APEX.

Thanks for that. I had actually found that page and filled it in. However I made a few mistakes.
First I hadn't filled in the SMTP name.
I also missed a letter from the outgoing email address.
It never even crossed my mind to think about providing the password for my ISP email account.
I only twigged this when I did a bit more searching on here and came across Axigen.
I've had a go at installing that without success.
The thing that is confusing me is I have created a number of developer users and that email queue is empty. I'd have thought that incorrect details would see that queue to fill up so I'm not convinced that the fundamentals are correct. I'm hoping that rubbish data isn't simply dumped in a black hole if APEX doesn't know where to send it.
I'm going to forget about the email for the time being and try and see if I can get an application up and running.
I don' seem to have much luck with emaiing from Oracle. Internal politics at my last contract over who could access what directory turned a relatively simple email call at the completion of a report into a complete and utter nightmare. I think me and email will forever lock horns !!!

Google Contacts sync - Contacts created on phone not being sent to Google

Hello,
I have setup my contacts with my Google account, and I can see all my Google contacts on my Z3 compact. If I create a contact in Google contacts, I will see it on my Z3.
However, if I create a contact on my mobile phone, it isn't being sent to Google. For the life of me, I can't see any options or setting to send new phone contacts to Google, either manually or automatically.
Shouldn't a sync work both ways? On my last phone this "just worked".

Groups created in OID - not being seen through Portal Admin

I also posted this in the OID section.
I'm working on an intranet application for my company, and trying to structure Groups/Users in the OID to enable role-based security.
I'm having a problem where the groups created in OID through the OID Self Services Console, cannot be viewed in the Portal Administration page. I have assigned all users to the groups I created in OID, and made the "NEW GROUPS" members of the oip_available_users, and the AUTHENTICATED USERS groups. From what I understand, if I make them members of these 2 groups, they should be available for the Portal to see. Is that correct?
Has anyone else faced this problem. How can I create a group in OID and view it through the Portal, for giving privileges to pages in my pagegroup.
Any help would be appreciated!

You cannot add groups to the OIP_AVAILABLE_USERS group. Oracle Instant Portal is designed to only read users from that group.
Also, If creating groups for use by Portal 10g, using DAS, you should create the groups under the Portal-specific instance container in the directory information tree so that the groups show up automatically in the group LOVs for the portal instance. If they don't show up, you should still be able to see them if you opt to view "All Groups" from the Group portlet. In either case, the group must be somewhere under the global group search base configured in OID.
If you use the Group Portlet to create your groups, they will automatically be created under the Portal instance group container.

ASM newly created diskgroup is not being used by RAC10GR2 Database

Hi,
I created new ASM diskgroup by using one of the RAC node through Grid control , it created new disk group successfully , I can see all the diskgroups in Grid control including newly created, but some how data is not moving into newly created diskgroup, all the diskgroups are mounted. Am i missing any post step , please help.

Data is not balanced accross diskgroups. It's balanced accross disks within a diskgroup. What exactly are you trying to achieve here?

Airplay express creating wifi but not being able to connect to wifi created

I have a Airport express and I am trying to make a wifi network for my home. When I make the network it shows up however i can not connect to it. I have cox as my internet provider and i can't get help from them. Any help would be great.

I am assuming that Cox is only providing you with a Broadband Internet modem and your AirPort Express Base Station (AX) is the only router in your current network configuration.
At this point I would suggest that you perform a complete power recycle of your networking equipment. This should get the AX back to its default configuration which is to broadcast an unsecured Wi-Fi network with a network name of something like Apple Network NNNNNN. Once you verified that you have regained Internet access in this configuration you can use the AirPort Utility to make any required settings to the AX.
Please post back your results.

Badi BDCP_BEFORE_WRITE but it not being triggered

Hi, to try the implementation i've put a break point and it doenst stop nad the entries are being made to the BDCPV table.

Yellow transaction sequence block for Bapi call

I am beginning upgrading MII from version 12.0 to 12.1. When I imported my MII project to version 12.1, I get one BAPI call sequence that is yellow and the transaction does not execute. It works fine in version 12.0, but something is wrong in version 12.1. It is not a custom transaction.
The JRA Session Action is called JRA_Start_Session and when I try to execure the transaction, I get the following Error:

Both the new version and the old version of MII are pulling for the same data sources, so I'm not sure why 12.0 would work and 12.1 won't. Maybe a known bug??

In further testing, we have been able to get some of the data from the BAPI, but not all of it. We have also noticed that some of the data paths have changed. For example, the "components" variable that was located in this location in version 12.0:

Is located here after importing the project into version 12.1:

Does this information mean anything to you? I did find some forum posts about JRA issues related to NW 7.1.6 and MII 12.1.8. What I'm seeing is that to use MII 12.1.8, we have to roll back to NW 7.1.5.
Can you tell me if this is still accurate?

Classic badi implementation zac_document not being called

For classic BADI AC_DOCUMENT I had prior and currently have an implementation ZAC_DOCUMENT.
I had this working but now it is not working and I am unable to determine why not. I deleted the implementation and recreated it with SE18.
If I view the implementation in change mode of transaction SE19, I see on the attributes tab that the implementation is activated. On the interface tab it says....

I double click on method CHANGE_AFTER_CHECK to see my code which passes syntax check... I'll abbreviate....

3. page 3 basically is an LOV page (filtered based of parameters set in processScope) which returns a value which populates certain fields in page 2.

I didn't encounter any problem with the return value from page 3 to page 2. But
when I open page 3 more than 4 times (at this time only page 1 and page 2 are open), when I close page 2 using:
afContext.returnFromDialog(row, null);
The returnListener set in the command button in page 1 is not triggered. (No error is returned)

1. When release and save the work order ,the standard BADI(WORKORDER_UPDATE) have not the parameters about service information . (for this issue , chunfai had give a solution ,we are testing it )
2. When we create work order by BAPI(BAPI_ALM_ORDER_MAINTAIN), the BAPI canu2019t provide the parameters about service information .we canu2019t create WO including service data.

Please check BADI IBAPI_ALM_ORD_MODIFY its method has a parametrs CT_HEADER_SRV and CT_HEADER_SRV_UP you can pass your data here...
Lets say this BAPI you are calling in custom program than if you donot see any parametrs where service data can be passed then you can export the data before calling bapi and import in this badi implementation and complete your task..
Please check BAPI and BADI documentation for more details
Even BAPi has these two parameters.

Interesting question.
A survey of transaction bapi reveals no DMS bapi's in CRM2007. However, In SPRO there are controls for DMS and transaction CSADMIN can also be found in the system.
