BAPI TO CHANGE FUNCTION LOCATION WITH LAM

Hi Experts,
I am working on a T code 'IL02' to change classification
and LAM (Linear data tab )
I am not getting proper BAPI please hep me .
I think uploading classification I can use
BAPI_OBJCL_CREATE
but for LAM ( linear data tab ) I am not getting proper FM OR BAPI.

Honestly, I do not have good experience with the BAPI for serialnumber change...
would suggest to explore function module:
SERIALNUMBER_LIST_UPDATE
or
SERIALNUMBER_LIST_SAVE
Also run ST05 to trace what kind of data it passed to these function modules by running IQ02!

Hello,
Instead of searching for any FM or anything. Go and create a flow thorugh LSMW and change the desired contact person through it..
I assure you this is the best and most efficient way.
first run LSMW and create a flow by changing the contact person of any one functional location and then assign the flow of that lSWM through external notepad file.
Get in the notepad all the desired FL you want to change run that within minutes your job will be done.

The system does not save de Functional Location with LSMW - IE02

I'm using a LSMW to fill the field (TPLNR)Functional Location with the transaction IE02. But when I run the LSMW, the field is not fill in background. If I do the manual process so the field is filled.
I would like what may be occurring.

It means when you recorded LSMW you filled that field but forgot to save so in recording saving is not recorded.

Avoid Email address check while creating or changes functional location PM

Hi Experts,
We have upgraded 4.6C system to ECC 6.0 with EHP4.
We are tring to change the existing functional location created in 4.6c through tcode IL02 -> location tab -> Email address.
and tring to maintain value as 'CAP 20/20/97' in email address field but it pop-ups with the error message as
'Email address 'CAP 20/20/97' is invalid'.
We know this is a SAP standard check but as part of the AS IS functionality, end user is able to maintain the same value in 4.6c and expecting same in ECC 6.0.
NOte : End user is using this field SMTP_ADDR (Email address) for multiple purposes.
When we reached SAP, following is the SAP responce.
This validity check is in compliance with RFC 2822.
This behaviour is standard since note 799902. If you would like to see
this functionality changed then please proceed as outlined in the
attached note 11.
Can any one provide work around solution to avoid the Email address validity check ?

Changing cache location with notepad.

Hey guys, A while ago, before the option to change your cache location was removed from the PC application, I had set it to a secondary HDD on my PC; seeing as how I have an SSD as my primary drive, and like to limit needless write cycles to extend it's life. Now, I remember whenever the option was taken away; and read somewhere that you can go into the core Spotify files with notepad and manually change the location that Spotify stores this information. Being an old install that had just been updated, I checked the file; and it was already set to my desired location. (I guess the settings just carried over.) Fast forward to this weekend, my failing SSD finally got replaced after a long service life; and I decided to start over with a fresh Windows install. I've tried to dig up the post that explained which file to go to in order to change location of my cache, but I can't seem to find it. I was hoping that somebody knew something about it and was able to drop me a hint as to where to go! Thanks, Andy

Inside the spotify installation folder (Usually located under C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Spotify), there is a file called 'prefs'. Open it with a text editor like Notepad++ (or any other one). You used to be able to find it there. The storage.location line might only be available in older versions though.
Aside from that, its on the list of being implemented as a menu option again.

Dear Davison,
You can use transaction /N/ISDFPS/IL21 , it will give you detailed history of equipments and functional locations with usage change. It''s a DFPS transaction, hope its available in your system, or else you can goto Usage List in extras menu and customize the layout by adding the colums required to get the information you want in case of equipments or goto Usage Period in case of functional location in structure menu.

Change time of equipments and functional locations

I select functional location with a specific change date (AEDAT) from table IFLO. But I have to consider also the change time. Is there a possibility to get this time? It should consider change time of general, specific, status and characteristic values changes.

I am suggesting my opinion.
You have many fields in the IFLO table just take any one field ( if does not satisfy go for next field) and find in which all tables the field is used by using where used list, so i think you can get the time value which is related to that data.
Its my idea if i am wrong please ignore.

After the function has passed new functional location was not created. And in RETURN I got message number 000.
I guess that a fun. loc. was in creation process because when i inserted a breakpoint I couldn't create a functional location with the same Id as in report (I could with an other) but it didn't save.
Can You help me?

Call BAPI_TRANSACTION_COMMIT after this.
Also uncomment FUNCTLOCATION and get the value into a variable and check.

Copy class of a Functional Location

Hi All,
I have to copy the class and characteristics of one functional location to another. Found a function module PM_COPY_SUBOBJECTS but this only copies the class but not the characteristics. Kindly suggest a function module or BAPI or any method where I can get all the characteristics copied from one FL to another.

Tables for Eq., BOM: EQST, STKO, STPO.
Tables fro Fun., Loc., BOM: TPST, STKO, STPO.
You can use FMs: CS_BOM_EXPL_TPL_V1, CS_BOM_EXPL_EQU_V2 & CS_BOM_EXPL_MAT_V2 for extracting the appropriate BOM related data.
And for the Alternatives please check the customizing or check with your respective Module experts for the appropriate configuration.

Equipment list in a functional location

Hi,
My scenario is as follow:
I have a functional location with a equipment list. I have to create a maintenance plan that affects to all the equipments.
All the equipments have to be controlled with the same parameters.
How can I act?
Could I create an unique maintenance plan to the functional location or could I have to create a maintenance plan for ech equipment?
How can I check that all the equipments are controlled?

it depends on your requirement only for example if you cost analysis is based on FL only ,then create one maintenance plan for that FL and attach the equipments in the object list ,hence once the call object is generated you can see the list of the equipment for maintenance activities,the cost incurred will be reflected to the FL
OR other thing is if all the equipments are to be maintained at regular interval with same parameter then create a maintenance plan with several maintenance item,in which system will create a call object for each maintenance item,drawaback is if you change any parameter ,then it will affect all the maintenance item attached to it
simple one is create maintenance plan for each equipment

Functional Location Structure Indicator

Hi Gurus,
I have created a functional location with an incorrect structure indicator. Wanted to know if there is a way out to change it without using the alternative labelling system?
The current status of the functional location is 'CRTE' (created) & no equipment is installed at this location.
I have to use the same functional location label therefore have to find a way out to get it changed.

Swati,
You will not be able to change the Structure indicator of a FL once its created.
However if its a brand new FL and noting has yet been assigned(Like equipments) or created (Orders / Notifications) using it and if the FL key satisfies the New Structure indicator (and its the superior FL) You could potentially look at doing a direct table update using a custom program.

You cannot change the name as such but, you can proceed with re-labeling with Alternate Labeling system. You can surely do this with this facility. But, if you have created by mistake, you don't have any option, you will have to flag it for deletion and create a new functional location.
