Bar coding label

Dear all,
As per my client requirement they are going to implement the bar coding label from SAP and they are looking for information like material code,description, storage-bin and purchase order number all the informations have to store in the single bar code.....i checked some standard bar code like C128A,EAN8 all the barcode supporting single information....is there any standard barcode
supporting multiple information....?

Use EAN number for material (in Basic data 1).
This number is unique and can be used for bar code scanner/RFID.

Bar coding with batch management

Hi,
I have a scenario like:
I have chemicals as a raw materials which need to be processed to make one type of medicine. These chemiacals go into the mixing unit which is automatic. Now requirement is like in a mixing unit there are many bins in which these chemicals get stored by its particular batch number and bin number.
Moreover, after MIGO bar code should pop to the quality section to inform that for the particular chemical the MIGO has been done and needs to inspect for quality.
Now every bin should be open according to the bar code reading in which batch number and bin number is there. only that bin should be open whose batch number and bin number is present in the bar code.
and then automatically the specified qty of chemicals falls in the mixing chamber.
Now How can I map this with SAP system? Do I need any other software to link the bar coding with SAP?
please guide me to map this scenario.

Yes you need different software to link barcode.
Bar coding is different system, If you want to integrate with SAP system you need to contact your technical team.

Nuclear Industry use of SAP item serialization/bar coding/(Gen2) RFID)

Does anyone have a link to any article(s) or journal(s) - preferably online - that have information on nuclear industry companies using serialization in SAP with/without bar coding or (Gen 2) RFID? I'm doing research on industries that do this and I'm looking for such info on nuclear industry companies; this could be companies that make nuclear devices, nuclear plants, etc... Supposedly, there are many nuclear industry companies that use serialization but I haven't found any articles online. Thanks.

Select a Bar code font and set your field to use that font then it should work. Azalea is the font we support and typically installed along with the UFL from their site...

Product Bar coding in SAP

Hi,
Our client wants to do bar coding in SAP.
BAR coding is the code which we find in products to
identify the manufacturing and other details about the products.
If it is possible in SAP, what are the requirements?
We use SAP version 4.6B

You can get the Bar code in the SAP SD through output determination.
-->First you do the output determination in the IMG
-->You discuss with your ABAPer about this and explain him what are the data you want to print in the bar code if possible tell what are the tables.
-->Based on your requirement your technical guy will develop a bar code outptut programe then you assign that programe to the bar code output type.
-->Based on the settings you can print the bar code based the output program specifications.
-->As per SAP recomendation you better to use ZEBRA printer to print the bar code.

    No.

    Check with the driver of the printer supportive for Bar-Codes Prinitng.

Whereas, without using Bar One Software also, you can print Barcode with the standard Barcode tech. available in SE73.

Problem with stacked bar chart label

Hi,
According to page export sql file I'm using APEX version 2.0.0.00.49.
I'm trying to make stacked bar chart but no matter what I do I can't have series label to be displayed within the chart area.
Is it a bug fixed in a latter version of APEX ? Is there something particular to do (for example an option to thick) to have them displayed ?

The answer is yes there is something particular to do.
If you want your stacked bar chart to display well all series have to be the same and not null.
So you must write outer joined queries with nvl in the select.

3D Bar chart labels

how do you move value labels on a 3D stacked bar chart so they dont overlap each other. For that matter, how do you move them on the chart period! On a PC, you just click and drag.

First - I love Numbers and iWork 08 - fantastic software for a fantastic price, no doubt, and it get's better for every iteration by giant leaps.
However, 3D Charts are currently only useful some of the time. Whilst it may be true that you can re-orient the chart so you can read your x-labels, this only works for very few datapoints.
For example, I have a list of daily prices which should be mapped on a 3D-stacked area chart. With 3 years worth of datapoints, it is "impossible" to get a decent looking chart.
First of all, I would have to be able to just move the x-labels further away from the chart base line. Second, instead of me having to delete the dates until I only have a single date value per quarter, it would be great if you could just select specific dates to be plotted as lables on the x-axis.
I guess it's 2D for now then...

The X axis labels are the hours of the day (hourstart), starting at 0600 and ending at 0500.
I would like to do any one of the following:
1. Bold and red the hour label when it is equal to 0600, 1400 and 2200.
2. Change the color of the bar when the hour label is equal to 0600, 1400 and 2200.
3. put some sort of vertical marker in the chart when the hour label is equal to 1400 and 2200.
Any of this possible?

Bar Chart labels are occupying more than the needed space

Hi,
I'm using a bar chart to display percentages. X axis is for 0 to 100% and Y-Axis is for categories. Labels on Y-Axis are aligned to the axis line, and it leaves some blank space on the left of the label, that could used by the chart area. Is it possible
to control this?

Do you mean the value of the label is long and will be cut and not display all the word？ I have set the properties of CustomInnerPlotPosition but not CustomPosition and can't see the issue.
You can using the expression in the label to make one long label to display
Wrapped like below：

Above expression will split one label to disply in two line, first five word in first line and the rest in the second line like below:

SVG bar chart label length

There seems to be a display limit of 15 chars on the length of labels for a SVG bar chart.
Any known workarounds ?

Hello Experts
My issue is: We use UCC/EAN 128. At present we execute customized Z Tcode which takes us to RF screen where we have to scan the material , now after we scan it updates the UPC field but does not update the Quantity field, so the system is not taking quantity from the Bar code. Where as with the same Bar code when we are executing the Bin to Bin transfer process the system is reading the quantity values from the Bar codes.
So my question would be what it is that is not making RF guns update the Qty field in the RF screen.
Is it the something to do with a Program( since its Z program) or something wrong with the Bar code because if something was wrong with wrong codes the system would not take the Quantities for bin to Bin transfer either.
Any help would highly be appreciated.

example:

          field3 type matnr,
          end of t_structure.
now u can use this strucure to declare internal tables and workareas.
example:
data: itab type table of t_structure,
