Base64Binary to byte[] problem in Wireless Toolkit and NetBeans
Hi,
I am generating stub with J2me Wireless toolkit. But the problem is that the toolkit can't successfully convert base64Binary to byte[] and gives error "Unknown simple type byte[]". Netbeans also gives some error while compiling it. Please anybody tell me how can i resolve this problem. Using base64Binary type is must.
Kindly reply if you know. My email address is [email protected]

public interface JobUpdate {
@SuppressWarnings("unchecked")
public String[] getUpdatedJobList(@WebParam(name="phoneJobs")String[] phoneJobs);
@SuppressWarnings("unchecked")
public void retrieveJobsWorked(@WebParam(name="data")byte [] data);
I then use this to start the service
JobUpdateImpl implementor = new JobUpdateImpl();
JaxWsServerFactoryBean svrFactory = new JaxWsServerFactoryBean();
svrFactory.setServiceClass(JobUpdate.class);
svrFactory.setAddress("http://localhost:9000/JobUpdate");
svrFactory.setServiceBean(implementor);
svrFactory.getInInterceptors().add(new LoggingInInterceptor());
svrFactory.getOutInterceptors().add(new LoggingOutInterceptor());
svrFactory.create();
Then use the wtk stub generator pointing at the service.
http://localhost:9000/JobUpdate?wsdl
The error returned by the tool is error: Found unknown simple type: byte[]
Any ideas?

J2me wireless toolkit and MIDP,CLDC
Hi,
does the j2me wireless toolkit ship the cldc and midp with it ?why email, thats a forum because there are more people interested in problems and their solution than you.
The 2.2beta also ships with the CLDC 1.1 and MIDP 2.0. Its a must because without it, you wouldnt be able to execute anything. And you cant put the JVM, MIDP and CLDC on your phone. The only thing you need is your application. The rest is implemented in hardware (or firmware of the phone). If not, theres no way to ''manually'' put in there (this includes upgrading).

Problems with Wireless Router and Adapter
I tried posting this in the wireless adapter forum but nobody responded :-(
I'm using a WRT54G Router btw, and the firmware is v2.02.7, Feb. 27, 2004.
Hi everyone,
I have a Linksys Wireless G Router and several computers that I try to connect with. One of them is a computer running Windows XP and using a Linksys Wireless USB B Adapter (WUSB11). Another is a laptop running Mandriva Linux using a Linksys Instant Wireless Network PC Card (WPC11). Another one is running Windows Vista and using a Linksys Wireless N card. I also have a laptop running Windows XP using a Linksys Wireless-G Notebook Adapter (WPC54G). I also have another PC running Windows XP and uses a Linksys Wireless USB Adapter WUSB54G. Finally, I have two macintosh laptops running OSX and with airport devices installed.
Anyway, I have problems with my internet connection frequently being interrupted and even sometimes I won't have a connection at all for hours. This occurs with my Linux laptop, the PC with the Wireless B Adapter, and the laptop using the Wireless G Notebook Adapter. In addition to this, the macintosh laptops have internet even more infrequently. However, I seem to never have a problem with the Windows Vista desktop or the Windows XP desktop that has the Wireless G adapter. I try repairing the connection and often it does not work. I have also tried resetting the router and the cable modem. I'm not sure what else I can do. I even bought a Wireless N router and had little success with that. We even went as far as moving the wireless router upstairs into our living room, thinking that the signal was somehow suffering from interference or that distance was a factor. Anyway, sorry for the long post but I could really use some help!
Thanks.Hi… logon to wireless N router’s setup page, open I.E. an in the address bar type 192.168.1.1 it would ask for username and password, put "admin" as a paassword (default password) without any username...linksys setup pops up, click on on wireless tab and and try changing radio band to wide 40MHz, wide channel to 9 and wireless standard channel to 1 or 11, go to advanced wireless settings reduce beacon interval to 50, fragmentation and RTS threshold to 2304, change N Transmission rate to 270 MBps…also try upgrading latest firmware on router, check whether it makes any difference or not and let me know.

Problem with wireless keyboard and wireless mouse
All of a sudden, after more than 6 mos., I am having problems with both the wireless keyboard and wireless mouse. I am getting a "connection lost" message on the screen with a picture of the keyboard. It only stays there a few seconds, disappears, then the keyboard is ok again.
The mouse is even more frustrating. I am not using the ball for scrolling, just moving the mouse to move the pointer. It will be working perfectly, then for 15 to 30 seconds will either not respond, or be extremely slow, then be ok again. This has repeated a number of times today, especially when I am in iTunes. The batteries are fine in both devices, since I had the problem, changed the batteries, and still have these problems. Any ideas?Brian, I called Apple and I think they fixed the problem with the keyboard. Unfortunately, I did not write down the exact keystroke sequence they gave me, but let me tell you what I did. I unplugged the computer and waited 60 seconds. After I plugged in back in, I was told to immediately hold down 4 keys. I think they were something like Ctrl, Command, Shift, and R. Those may not be the exact keys, maybe it was Option instead of Ctrl, and maybe R is not right. I am not sure. Those keys are held down until the second beep is heard after the computer was turned on. Supposedly, this re-established connections between the computer and the keyboard. Sorry I did not write down the key combination. If you can, call Apple and get the proper key stroke combination

Mapping problem with Wireless Keyboard and Japanese iPhone
Hi everyone:
This seems to be a slightly obscure question -- at least, I can't find a ready answer for it with the search terms I've tried, possibly because most people don't use this particular accessory with the iPhone.
I have an iPhone 4 that I bought from and use on Softbank, the carrier in Japan, where I live. While visiting the United States recently, I bought an Apple Wireless Keyboard from an Apple retailer. I wanted to carry it with me for use with my iPhone, so I would reliably have a convenient way to access the Internet without being confined to the touchscreen keyboard. (I live in a rural area where WiFi spots are uncommon, but my iPhone's access to Softbank's data network is fairly good and consistent.)
However, to my frustration, I can't use the keyboard due to a mapping problem. The Bluetooth connection is fine -- the iPhone can discover the keyboard. However, the mapping is off: typing "Q" gets me "A," typing "Z" gets me "W", numbers and punctuation are off, etc. The key point: This is NOT a problem with the International Keyboard settings (under the Settings -> General -> Keyboard -> International Keyboards menu). I have the Keyboard setting set to QWERTY, which is the layout of the Apple keyboard; I have tried all the other possibilities, just in case. None of them work. Setting the Keyboard setting to QWERTY does not make the external QWERTY keyboard map correctly.
The rather ironic addendum is this: While on a recent trip to Tokyo, I visited the Apple store in Shibuya and, after concluding the main business of my visit (discussing my MacBook's battery problems with an English-speaking staffer), I took out my iPhone and keyboard and asked him about my mapping problem. He started with the Keyboard menu, tried the same things I had tried, realized they weren't working, and puzzled over the problem for a while. Then he did this: He hit a key combination (I believe) that brought up a menu on the iPhone's screen. "Ah, there's your problem," he said, and selected a new setting. The problem was instantly fixed.
To my chagrin, however, I neglected to write down what "Ken" had done to fix the problem. Argh... I was looking at the iPhone upside-down; I'd already taken up more than half an hour; people were waiting, and I guess, being used to living in the countryside now, that I'm not used to Shibuya crowds any more. Anyway, I didn't take careful notes or ask him to walk me through it, and now I cannot recall or repeat what he did. And I still can't use my keyboard!
Any ideas or advice, anyone? How did "Ken" fix my problem, and how can I repeat it? Much, much appreciated, in advance.THAT'S IT. Sir, you have solved my problem. Thank you!!
And I feel a little silly; this will doubtless seem to an expert as if it should have been obvious all along. But isn't that always the way in hindsight?
Here's what happened: The key combination I was trying to remember was "Apple/command + space on the hardware keyboard," as you just said above. The "menu" it brings up is, apparently, a list of keyboards. I take it that this list is the same as the list of the "virtual" keyboards on the iPhone? I have never had more than one external keyboard -- the Apple Wireless -- but I do have several keyboards active virtually, as the iPhone in Japan seems to come with both the "Nihongo Ten-key" and the "Nihongo Romaji" keyboards active, and I added several other languages as well.
When I hit "Apple/command + space," this list comes up on the iPhone's touchscreen. Highlighted and checked at the top is "English," just as if it had been selected all along. But nonetheless, when I first turn on and pair my keyboard with the iPhone, I need to perform this key-combination action, as if to "reselect" English, and then the keyboard promptly starts working properly as QWERTY. I can only assume that one of the others had been default-selected before -- presumably one of the Nihongo ones? -- and that this was causing the interference.
Thank you again! You have made me and my wireless keyboard very happy. -
Hi, i have facing some problem during i upgrade a project. This project is an opened loop system, it only achieved up to controlling the speed of motor, detecting the speed of motor, and switching the direction of motor while controlling the motor (This motor is a 12 VDC motor).
In order to improve the project, closed-loop dc motor control system will be implemented to correct the error of the motor's speed and maintaining the speed for the initial setting. I would like to use PID control method to do the closed loop system.
I already installed the PID toolkit V8.2 and control design toolkit V2.1.2, and i'm using DAQ usb 6221, LabVIEW 8.5

Problems installing Wireless Toolkit module in Forte 3
I completely remove Forte 3.0 and the WTK 1.02 from my machine (WINNT 4.0 sp6a, J2SE 1.3.)
Installed Forte 3.0 succesfully.
Installed WTK 1.0.2 Integrated option successfully (Installer asked me for the install home dir. for Forte)
But when I run Forte I do not see any templates etc. which would allow me to write a j2me compliant code (as referred to by the User Guide pdf).
Where did I go wrong?I have the same problem.
I also have the problem of getting a SecurityException
when trying to runAll ---> Execute.

How to run projects on Wireless Toolkit on Solaris 10?
Hi,
I've installed Solaris 10 on x86.
After that I've installed Wireless toolkit and Netbeans Mobility pack.
I was able to install both of them but, Now, when I try to run any J2ME application I get an error "Cannot find /lib/ld-linux.so.2" and something about preverifying.
This might bebecause there isn't any perfect version of WTK available for Solaris 10 and I need to use wtk for liunx.
I think since, solaris and WTK both are product of SUN they should provide solaris compatible version of WTK.
Please let me know how can I solve this problem or suggest any other tool that can allow me to create and deploy J2ME applications on Solaris 10(x86)
I need this to be solved pretty quickly since it is very urgent
Thank you all
Edited by: parag.rughani on Sep 28, 2007 5:37 PMthere is no WTK 2.x for solaris, but it is possible to use WTK 2.x and Solaris. You can find how to that here:

JCOP and wireless toolkit communications
Hi,
I have used the javacard toolkit with the wireless toolkit and I have made APDU connections and communications correctly.
Now I have JCOP from IBM and I want to test my midlet with this emulator but my midlet cannot connect itself to the JCOP emulator.
I have test the differrents port for connections (8050 for JCOP).
can anyone help me please ?
Thank'sHello,
This the code I'm using with in my midlet:
RemoteJCTerminal terminal = new RemoteJCTerminal();
terminal.init(null);
terminal.open();
JCard card= new JCard(terminal, null, 10000);
JCApplet app = new JCApplet(card, AID);
app.select();...
The error log is :

at com.sun.midp.midlet.Scheduler.schedule(+52)

I think that the preverifier of my midlet doesn't accept my jar file in my build path. -

Unable to download Wireless Toolkit
I have been trying to download the Java Wireless Toolkit and various other packages from the Sun website for the last week, and have not been successful. Each time I attempt to download, I'm routed to a page that says there was an error in the transaction and that I am automatically logged out. Is anyone else having this problem?
maybe it has been blocked by norton anti virus in your pc so try to disable norton anti viruse and download it another time

if ( c == cmdExit )
destroyApp(false);
notifyDestroyed( );
public void itemStateChanged(Item item)
Thanks.HI Phoenix_Mj
I'm a beginner in J2ME world and it might happen that I'm be missing some impt step from coding to transferring.
Do I have to configure anything?
Im I right by saying, only the .jar file is then transmitted to the device?
Lastly, where should I put my images? what folder to be specific?
I can't run the application correctly even trying to run it over the OTA....
No images is being displayed...
Please help guys.
By the way thanks, Phoenix_Mj

This line declares a maximum textbox size of 25 but in reality he is declaring a textbox of size 29.
Thats why it is throwing the illegal argument.
