Basic editor in web page composer

Hello Experts-
We are using basic html editor in WPC. Not sure, if there is a feature available to control the font size in the editor. Right now, it takes the default font size. If I cut and paste the text it works fine. I mean we get larger font.
It would be of great help. If you can point me to the right documentation where i cna change the setting on it.

I had figured out the same work around(copy and paste) when I worked on EP 7.0 sp13, that was the only option.
The other alternative to that is to integrate the TinyMCE editor, check this relevant link.

Publishing page from Page Editor in Web Page Composer

I am developing a proof of concept web page in WPC (SPS14). I have followed the configuration steps and granted myself Full Control in the KM toolbox and the PCD. I've granted myself the wpc_editor_role, and granted myself Full Control to the Sites folder in the web content.

Has anyone else encountered this? It seems like a permissions issue, but I've turned on Full Control everywhere I can find.

Change Wysiwyg Editor in Web Page Composer WPC

Hi,
is there any possibility to change the wysiwyg editor in the wpc?
Comparing other web based wyswyg editors to the editor integrated in the wpc it is far from having any advantages...!
- no possiblity to switch to html mode.
- no possibility to assign css classes (if there would be at least a color and font size chooser....)
- no possiblity to create a <table>

SPS14 will be released very soon. It is scheduled for next week, i guess. But what i remember for sure, that it is scheduled for December.
From the number of your posts, i guess that you are new to SDN.
So every time one of your questions is answered, mark it also as answered.
There are two possible ways. On the top of the thread you can mark it as answered by yourself or you award someone (who replied) 10points for your solved question.
You can also award less points if u want.
So, the important thing is: Mark it as answered. You will see if you search for problems on SDN, you will be very pleased to see answered threads because then you don't have to go through 1000s of threads to find your answer.

Use html code in web page composer 7.3

Hi all,
I have a question about the standard editors of web page composer in 7.3.
I want to create my own HTML code for the design of the portal page..
Is it possible to use the code through one of the standard editors?
At the moment I have created some html pages and store them in the KM content of the portal. Then I make this pages available with the KM Document iViews to use them in the Web Page Composer. The problem now is, that the links to other portal pages doesn't work..
So is there maybe a possibility to use the html code directly in one of the editors? Or do you know, how you have to define the links to navigate to other portal pages? I tried a href="TBN://..." like the links you get with the Link List Editor, but it doesn't work..

Hi,
now we have the tinyMCE editor, where you can insert and edit html-code. It works fine now for the layout,
but there are still a few problems with the links..
In the edit mode there are displayed all km images out of the km. But the images aren't displayed under the portal role, when i publish the page. And all the links like one to a wiki or the TBN links doesn't work, too.
Can anybody help me further?

Runtime Error in Web Page Composer (WPC) : Page Editor

Hello,
We are using the Web page Composer to design our portal homepage. The portal version is 7.02 SP6.
We created a site, some site content like banners and articles, and a blank web page. When we try to add the site content to the web page from the "Page Editor" by clicking on the pencil icon -> "Add", a runtime error occurs on the Web Content Browser pop up page. The drag and drop feature to add content is not working either.
The error message is as follows:

SAP Web Page Composer: Editor exception iFrameObject == null

Hello everybody!
Yesterday we updated the Web Page Composer from 7.00 SP18 Patch 6 to 7.00 SP25. Everything works fine but wenn trying to save something in the editor, this pop-up appears:
"km_exception: !iFrameObject || iFrameObject == null"
Do somebody know what could be the problem?

Sorry for missunderstanding. Now I have got what you mean. So may be if we update the KMC-UI to the same SP level this iusse should be solved.
But first I have another question may be related to this iusse. In the SAP Note 1080110 you get the Information how to install or update the Web Page Composer.
"To update WPC from SAP NetWeaver 7.0 SPS 13 to a higher SPS of SAP NetWeaver 7.0, perform the following two additional steps after you have finished with the procedure described above.
- Run a content migration report in KM. This report will migrate the standard web resources created with WPC SP13. [...]"
After the update we did not do this content migration report and I actually do not know what this report ist about. Could this be the problem?

The font size in web page composer 7.3

Hello,My corporate is using SAP NetWeaver Portal 7.3 now.
I want to use Web Page Composer 7.3 to build a firstpage for my company,but I find a strange problem.
When I create a web form,for example Link List or Paragraph,after I preview ,the disalpy font size is very big.
but I remember in the release 7.0 the font size is very proper.
I find the types configures ( km > etc > wpceditor > types) is the same in both release7.0 and 7.3
Now I don't konw what to do ,anyone can help me ?

Web Page Composer (WPC) – Web page - Approval process

We have requirement with our web publishing environment where we want to stage the web pages for review before they are published for public. Currently, if you develop a web page in Web Page Composer ( WPC ) and click publish to review the content/layout. The page is published for public and included in TRex and can be searchable.
We thought KM Approval process will help resolve this issue. The approval process work very well with the u2018Site Contentu2019 where once author develop the content (article, paragraph etc.) and submit for approval in this case Editor (role). The content under site content folder is not published (not available for public) until approved by Editor.
This same approval process does not work on the Web Page folder. We have exactly same permission/ Service permission setup on the Web Page folder. Even though the u2018Approvalu2019 is turned on the Web Page folder it does not inherit the same to new web pages created or existing web pages in that folder. If we go and turn on the u2018Approvalu2019 on a page then we see a u2018Approvalu2019 button in WPC but when you submit the page for approval it pops up another screen with below message.
Confirm that you want to publish the page. A new version of the homepage will be created and, if appropriate, submitted for approval. Changes to pages not subject to approval are active immediately.
When you confirm this message nothing happens (no workflow kicks off).
I would like to hear if any one has tried the approval process on WPC web pages. If you are not using this process how you are staging the web page for review before publishing to public.

We encountered the same problem couple days back in our environment. There is a SAP note (# 1294833) which details the issue but affected version indicated in this note is different then what we are on so we decided to create a note for SAP.
Below is SAP response for this issues

I can confirm that the issue described in SAP Note 1294833 is indeed
present in EP 7.01 SP4 and is the reason you are currently experiencing
this problem.
Unfortunately, as outlined in the note, there is no workaround
available but our developers have advised me that the fix will be
included in the next patch for KMC WEB PAGE COMPOSER 7.01 SP04.

the solution is to modify the permission on security zone in this way:
go to System Administration -> Permissions ->Security Zones -> com.sap.nw.wpc -> wpc -> no_safety and open the permissions of this object to add Authenticated Users gruop with this option:

Web Page Composer - Edit HTML Pages?

Hi,
I'm looking at the web page composer on our SP13 NW04s portal. I'm look at it to possibly replace a few portal pages I have that are simply url iviews pointing to html pages. My question, when I put the html page in my km and place it in the wpc iviews on the layout, is there anyway to edit the html from the editor's perspective? or is the only way to edit the html pages used to give the "web content author" access to the km folder of the html pages?
If not, is there any way to for the web page composer articles to incorporate our style sheet?

no you can't edit the html files directly in WPC Editors perspective.
You can find the style sheets for WPC articles in KM at:
Content Admin -> KM Content -> etc-> wpceditor -> css

Change background of web page composer

Hi, someone knows how change the background of the web page composer?
I have seen that the body have "class=prtlBody urFontBaseFam urScrl", but I do not know where is possible to change that style or to change that line.

Hi,
WPC uses the theme from the portal and his own theme. The portal theme can be controlled by the online and offline theme editor. There you can also define the background color of the whole portal. The WPC themes can be found at:
/etc/wpceditor/css/runtime
-> content.css
-> sdn_apps.css
-> sdn_general.css
These WPC themes can be edited using a CSS editor or any text editor and will only be used by WPC.
The actual HTML tags (class, id, divs) used by WPC are defined in the page template. In a standard WPC page:

    </COLGROUP>
     <tr class="wpc_1c_tr_o">
If you would change the background of the WPC content, change / define a CSS for .wpc_1c_outertable
Of course you can create your own pages and own divs that will be used by WPC.

Missing web page composer in portal installation

Hello to all,
how can I find out, if the web page composer is installed in our actual portal enviroment?
I visited the basic course SAPEP and worked with the web page composer, but in our admin area there is no access.
I am not a basic guy, that is my problem.
Can anybody help me?
If the composer doesn't exist, can I install only this tool? Is there a how-to-guide?

Check in (http://<server>:<port>/monitoring/SystemInfo) system Information->all components link in system components then check for Kmc-wpc. if any component with such name exist then Web page composer is installed. other wise install the WPC with help of portal admin/ basis. check the link for installation guide
