1.What r the basic infotypes used for PA & OM.
2.Basic pay is mandatory infotype?if so i need to create payscale structure?
3.Contract element infotype?

Hi Archana,
1. Basic Infotypes for OM is 1000 - Objects, 1001 - Relationships, 1002 - About the Description, 1008 - Account Assingnment, 1018 - Cost Distribution
Again it depends upon ur client requirement apart from above what all he wants
While coming to PA we have different Personnel Actions so it depends upon the Personnel Actions the Infotypes will be different.
2. Yes for IT0008 you need to configure complete Basic Pay settings in the IMG
3. IT0016 this particular Infotype gives us the information about the employee which type of contract he is in too and when the contract gets finished & what is the notice period of that contract.

Approval process for changes in BAsic infotype

Dear Gurus,
The customer wants approval process whenever hr changes BASIC infotype, a mail shpuld go to his superior, who will approve the request in the system.
- We are not implementing Workflow, ESS.
- Enqueue / Dequeue concept does not work with Time constraint 1.
- We are not in favour of changing time constraint of BASIC infotype
How can we handle this situation thru GUI client ?

Thank you for the reply.
As per my understanding, the steps involved would be:
1. The dynamic action will be triggered during "Change in Pay" action.
2. HR executive will make necessary changes in IT0001, IT0008, IT0014.
3. Dynamic action is triggered when IT0008 is updated.
4 Current values & new values of IT0008 & IT0014 are moved to workflow container and create workflow request to the HR Manager.
5. On approval of workflow request by HR Manager, the IT0008, IT0014 get updated.
my doubts are :
1. What would be the status of action till manager approves?
2. Will HR Admin be able to see the entries made by him ?
(In Finance we have PARK option, is there any such option in HR?)
3. Would the dynamic action triggered if bulk "Change in Pay" actions are generated thru BDC/LSMW ?

Very Urgent...Indirect evaluation symbol 'I ' in basic pay infotype..

Hi Friends,
what is the meaning of 'I' in IND Val field ,which comes with some wagetypes only, in Basic pay infotype.
If 'I' is there in the field it is not storing the value in a table so there is a problem with the calculations for some developments.
how to restrict that 'I' in basic infotype ?if we restrict that will there be any effect in the other areas?

Hi Nandita
'I' means indirect evaluation of the amount for the wage type. So, if you enter any value, then the amount limit will be computed from using IT0008 or IT0052 and checked with the value entered and 'I' will be removed. If you do not enter any value, then the amount for this wagetype will be computed by SAP function module.
You can check the table T511 and for Wage type where MODNA is not initial are indirect wage types.

Infotype for Clockin Application

Hi,
I dont think there is any infotype associated with TEVEN. When the data in TEVEN is posted to HR then the data goes to IT2002.
Absence data from Leave request goes to IT2001. Apart from these the other important ITs are 2006 and 2007 where the quotas are maintained. You might also use IT2013 for manualy adjusting the quotas while running Time Evaluation.

Hi Experts,
Pls guide me to solve the issue related to leaving action of emp in PA40.
When an employee left the company, which infotypes needs to be delimited.
Is it receommanded to put the practice to enter Run payroll up to, Do not account after in IT0003?
Can end user maintian IT0003 for left employee? or it can be possible for only exceptional circumstances?
What will be the recommanded porcess to release the pension in case of retired employee?
I want to get the complete information ,connection between IT0003 and leaving action.

All the basic infotypes, like 0000,0001,0007,0008 and statutory infotypes of the country will be delimited. The best would be to check the standard configuration of SAP, where in SAP would have advised which infotypes to be delimited for leaving action.

I would say , it would depend on company to company and scenario based. But mostly it is seen IT0003 is modified only in cases where exceptions are there.

ERROR IN LSMW master data in PA40

While trying to upload employee master data through LSMW for PA40, at the time of execution batch input session,personnel number is not generating automatically..

Hi,
When you are using transaction code PA40 in LSMW, pls use Internal Number Range instead of External as LSMW doesn't work well with External no. range. Also for the upload, configure only the basic infotypes like 0000,0001 & 0002 in the infogroup and rest of the infotype maintain it through PA30.

HR data upload using LSMW

Hi All
I am using LSMW to upload the HR master data. The infotype data that is loaded include the basic infotypes like 0000, 0001, 0002, 0007, 0014 and 0019 (monitoring of tasks). I am using recording method. I can record all infotypes till 0014 in single shot and the recording gets saved at the end of 0014 and gets back to LSMW step. I need 0019 infotype recording also. For this what should I do? How should I record it? Can I record this individually and attach to the above recording? Please help.

Hi,
What we do during data convertion is creating each recording separately. I don't think the customer will provide you one data file with all ITs information. Providing he/she has to extract data from his/her system it is likely that you get separeted files. Pelase ensure it won't be this way.
Moreover this approach is less error-prone. Image that you are missing some configuration for one of the infotype, which is in the middle (lets say 4th in the row out of 10). Everything would load correctly till it reaches this "unlucky" infotype. Then the record has status of not loaded. The rest would be skipped and you have missing data. Now you need to start reloading from this wrong infotype to the end. But how about these already loaded? Would you delete the records to avoid duplicating?
That's why I am really encouraging you to take each IT separately approach. It is better to spend some time preparing data files then loosing your nerves when investingating what's in and what's not yet in the system, in case an error occurs.

/101,/560 are Not appearing in the RT cluster while running the live run

HI Experts,
Pls help me to update the problem,While running the live payroll run the wagetypes /101,/560 are Not appearing in the RT cluster .
and all primary wagetypes are missing in the RT log .I have checked the processing class table for each classes but its perfecly placed.Whatever I placed in the IT 8 is not appering in the RT LOG .I have run with Standard and custom schema's also for indian payroll.Any settings has been changed for basic infotype??wht could be the reson.Early respose will be appreciated.

I need some hr mini master overview tutorial. I am mini master beginner with many questions. What are Mini Master basic infotypes, basic transaction... I tried to find on forum, google, but I have no complete view of HR MM.

The basic Requirments of the Mini Masters in SAP HCM Requires the following Information of the PERNR
Infotypes to be maintained - 0000 , 0001 , 0002 ,0007 , 0105 , 0315 (you can also include IT related to TM but i havent used them in my project)
As per the above Infotypes Configuration of Holiday Calendar , DWSR is necessary
and comeing to the integration with other modules
The mini masters is required by the following Modules as per my experience
1. Project Systems - Integration will be Cross Appplication Time Sheet CATS
2. Materials Managment (MM) - In this module the PERNRs in the HCM will be treated as Buyers from MM side and along with their PERNRs they require the Positions for that PERNR and Telephone no from IT 0105 Communication for Print Out form in MM
3. EHS - Employee Health Safety : This module requires the Hirerachy of the Organisational Structure in order to issue Notification Type to concern Department Department means Organisation Unit have a look at Tcode IW22 for this we need to Map the Relationships Reports to ......... and Manged by ............. the both relationships are must and in future in case of any work flows this configuration helps us a lot

Data Transfer Between HR and Erec

Hi all,
We are using having 2 backend systems 1 for HR other than Erec and another one for erec.
Now we have setup the ALE data transfer using Message type HRMD_ABA.
In erec we have only ERECRUIT Component deployed in backend,no EA HR or SAP HR component deployed.
MEaning no PA* tables.
Now when Transfer personnel number(HR!001-A008 with Position) to erec box,it says no pernr exist.
Howver i cannot tranfer the pernr from ECC to Erec as we dont have PA* tables in Erec.
Can you share me the object types that are transferred from ECC to EREc and EREC and ECC.
What are the components to be deployed in backend Erec box.
In Portal for requistions application which should backend(System Object) and for recruiter and recruitment admin applications which should be the backend system(System Object).

Hi ,
1) First get your users created with roles in your Erec system
Example recruiter ,Manager ,Recruitment Admin
2) Get your Structure created in your HR back end system .
3)Make sure you maintain your basic Infotypes with 0105 miantained (System user name /Email id )
Assign the user to 0105 subtype 0001
4)ALE that you have setup first move Org structure moved
next move the person (Pers no ) .
ALE chose the insert mode and goto WE10 if yoru IDOCS are clean without errors .
Make sure all the personal data including address ,postal code is all maintained .

Message Type HRMD_A or HRMD_B or HRMD_ABA

Hi,
We have a requirement to update HR Master Data into our SAP System from
an External System via Middleware (TIBCO in this case)
Our SAP System details are as follows: -
ERP 6.00, HR 6.00, WebAS 701
By Updating Master Data into the system we mean: -
1) Update existing PA and PD InfoType records
2) Insert new PA and PD Infotype records
3) Update data into Custom Infotypes / Custom fields in standard
infotypes
I have read quite a few SAP Notes and Support Messages (Application Area
BC-BMT-OM-ALE and others) and even the Documentation in SALE
transaction, but I am not fully convinced which one to use for my
requirement
Here's my observation on these message types: -
HRMD_A   > is quite exhaustive (has maximum number of infotypes) and SAP
recommends to use this for SAP HR to SAP HR distribution
HRMD_B   > Support Message 1082157_2005 says to use this for External
System Transfers which is what I need but has only a few PD infotypes
and nothing else (I would not like this either)
HRMD_ABA   > Contains limited number of PA and PD infotypes e.g. some
very basic infotypes like 0027 are not present. Also SAP recommends this
to use for SAP HR to SAP system without HR components such as CRM, EBP,
etc.
But the Documentation in SALE appears speaks something different. It
says
HRMD_B   > Distribution from SAP HR to an SAP Basis System. This is
quite different from what is mentioned in message 1082157_2005 which
says it can be used for legacy data transfer
So what would be the right message type for...
A) Inbound HR Master Data / Org. Dataposting
B) Outbound Master Data / Org. Data distribution from SAP
especially when a non-SAP system is involved
Please note that the Idoc must be flexible and support updates into any
PA-PD infotypes (through Idoc extensions and BADI/customer exit
implementations if needed which is fine with me)

Hi,
The message types used for HR are:
HRMD_B: transfer data from legacy systems, non SAP system. (E.g. People Soft).
HRMD_A: transfer data between 2 HR systems.
HRMD_ABA: transfer data from an HR system to a #non-HR# system (CRM, SRM, etc..)
You should use message type HRMD_B to transfer data from HR system to external system (Northgate Arinso) but it has only a few PD infotypes and nothing else.

We have a requirement where we need to assign a personnel no. to a particular service. We are doing this thru ML10.
In the HR Master Data I have maintained the basic infotypes and also IT0315.
When we try to assign a personnel No. to a particular service, the system throws an error that the personnel no. does not exist though it appears in F4.
Kindly let me know if there are any other Inotypes to be maintained or any integration is required.

Need Help on Header Modification

Dear All
I am working with Header Modification and executive some basic Infotypes using Personal Number. The problem is when ever I did modification in Header Modification I would not able to see in PA30 and PA20 but I can see in Infotypes.
Please let me know where I need to do the configuration to view in PA30 and PA20.
