Batch Delete: Deleting Records which I don't own

Hi
I have performed a batch delete of activities from an activity list.
The process deleted only the records which I owned, which was about half.
The remaining half are owned by 2 other users, and I am unable to establish how to batch delete the remaining records.
Any assistance would be appreciated.

Jason,
Only the Owner of an activity can delete it, you could try mass updating those activities so that you own them, then delete them.
You'll also get a better response if you post these types of questions in the Administration forum.

If you see the second record,
If data value is ZULL, then the Employee or another dimension is also NULL.
So I want to delete second records.
If it is Start routine please share the code and steps to do.

When I bought the new (used) iMac, I also bought an external hard drive for backups. It worked fine, but my husband stole it.
Then I bought a new external hard drive (Seagate) and it worked fine for three weeks, then died.
So I just got a new external hard drive, which was put together from an internal hard drive and a hard drive enclosure.
Time machine did the first backup today, and it should have taken 9 hours like it did on the previous first time full back up. Instead, it took 30 minutes. That can't be right. I want to start over and do a full backup to make sure everything gets onto my new external hard drive, but I can't figure out how to do that. Please help.

Deleting Child records which are not associated to any parent

We have seen that in the application though the Activty records has been deleted the child records like sample dropped and the roduct details has remained in the system. This happened cos in R18 when contact was deleted activty got deleted but the Activity child records remained in the application.
we found that child records are present by looking into record utilization.
Wanted to know if there is any way to delete these child records from teh application cos we are unable to query for them from UI as well as via webservices.
any pointers would be helpful.

There is not a reporting subject area or folder available on Books. The workaround we employed was to create a field on the entity that was assigned books and that field was checked when the books were assigned. We are using web services to assign books and the web services also updates the field "Books Assigned". This gives us a way of reporting on that field to see those records without book assigned.

Deleting invalid records

Our company is widely using HFM application since 9 years, we have not done this activity in our
Live environment. I understand it delete invalid or orphan records stayed in application once metadata
is changed.
My questions is does it impact the actula data in any way ?
By performing this activity many be quarterly will improve performance also ?

The program deletes invalid records which means the members not in heirarchy(outline) so it wont cause any issues with data associated with existing outline members.

Delete blank records from the cube

Hello;
We just upgraded from 3.5 to 7.0. When we started running our queries for the Inventory cube, we were getting an error message of "Error: The validity interval has the initial value as lower limit".
When I checked the cube, I found records that were blank, such as no dates, plants, etc.. I then tried to see if I can delete those records, but I cannot find a way to do this. Can someone tell me how to delete the blank records or any records from the cube directly? When I run the queries from the ODS, I do not get any errors at this time.
Any information, suggestions or HELP is greatly appreciated.

Hello Maximina,
You could try writing in some code that would delete the records which have some fields as blank in the start routine of the transformation that connects the ODS to the cube . So that the next time you load data from the ODS to the cube .. they would stay deleted .

A better way to delete IT2001 records in batch.,

Hi Gurus,
A little problem here. Due to data source error, I need to delete IT2001 records in batch.
Currently I am using standard report RPUREOPN to do this. But RPUREOPN will not update those deduction in IT2006 quota. So I've to delete & reupload cooresponding IT2006 quota data which is inconvenient.
Is there a better way to do this job? I mean deleting IT2001 in batch and also update the deductions in IT2006.

After running the report you mentioned above to delete absences/attn you can try running the report RPTUPD00 to revaluate the attendance and absence.

Trigger on update which delete updated record

First I'm french so my english isn't very good.
I use an Oracle8i database with a VB program.(This program run also with SQL Server)
When a specific field is updating, I would like deleting the record updated, but only when this specific is updated. In other case, I would like to have the update statement.
I made a trigger "after update".
When I tried to do this , I had the message that "table or record is in "mutation" (in french) : his state is changing.
So I created a view on table as "select * from table where ...." and I used a trigger "instead of update" on the view. It works when I update the specific field but in the other case the update command don't work (it's normal).
Is it possible to make a "generic" update statement (as I have this functionality on every table of my database) ?
=> I tried to write the update command in a variable with a loop on user_tab_columns table to have the list of columns and "EXECUTE variable" but it doesn't work.
=> I don't find the possibility to activate a trigger "instead of" only when some columns are updated.
=> ..... ???? If some one have an idea ?????

The best you can do is put this code in a procdeure. Pass in the tablename as a parameter and use EXECUTE IMMEDIATE to action the delete.
Then you can generate the triggers (and views) using the data dictionary.
In passing I have to say this strikes me as a bizarre way of doing things. This is why many of us regard the INSTEAD OF trigger as a bad thing; because it's not intuitive - I update a record I expect it to be updated, not deleted. Mind you, at least it's all the tables in the database, so you are consistent, which helps.

also you could try a basic reset and see if that resolves your issue. hold down the Lock button & Home button at the same time for ~15 seconds, the iPad should then perform a reset.

The problem is that delete() is already defined as a method in the JavaScript spec. So it's a bad choice of method names on our part. Hopefully this will get fixed eventually, but it will have to be done in a creative way to keep backwards compatibility.
