Batch file seetup to run in event viewer not working.

Hi everyone,
Long story short
we have some new Security monitoring software that we use for our clients WHich is written in .net2 and can't pick up the IDs for failures in event viewer as they are in .net4. so what we have done is set up a series of batch files to run through task scheduler
and send the event ID to Application in event viewer that o ur security  monitoring software can read.
This has worked perfectly on all of our servers but for some reason on Windows 7 machines when the batch file is run nothing happens in Application under Event Viewer.
e.g:

Your first step must be to check if the batch file actually runs, e.g. like so:

When you examine the log file then you probably get a good idea about the cause of your problem.

  • Imovie09 Event Viewer stopped working

    I was creating a new movie in Imovie09 (8.0.6) and playback in the event viewer stopped working. When I move the play head manualy it works but when I hit play or space bar the audio plays but the video stays stuck on a frame.
    I've rebooted and also deleted the imovie08 plist file but no luck. Seems to be a problem not only with the new project but all existing projects that worked before.
    Anyone have the same problem and fix it?

    Try the following:
    1.) Make sure all your software is fully up to date
    2.) Remove the following to the trash and restart the computer:
    Home > Library > Caches
    Home > Library > Preferences > com.apple.imovie (There may be more than one. Remove them all.)
    3.) Make sure you don't have other applications open while you are using iMovie (they may be slowing down more complex processes like rendering video in iMovie)
    4.) If the same thing keeps happening, try renaming the Home > Movies > iMovie Projects folder to iMovie Projects Original
    5.) Re-open iMovie and make a new test project -- if it works, you may have 1 or more bad projects in that original iMovie Projects folder which is affecting the rest of the project library.

    Same problem. Am using Firefox 24 (W7x64).
    I've tried setting it to use the built-in PDF viewer, to always asking, to using Adobe plugin, to using Nitro plugin.
    I changed the pdfjs.disabled in about:config to true but that didn't help.
    The plugin.disable_full_page_plugin_for_types was set to

  • Simple WD4A Portal Eventing does not work

    I'm trying to get a simple Portal Eventing to work with two WebDynpro ABAP components. I read several threads as well as a blog from Thomas Jung about this but still have no eventing. What am I doing wrong? I think that it might be only a little obstacle but I can't get it. So what I didi is:
    1.) Created 1st WD4A application with a button and an action behind that button:

    thanks for your answers. But the problem is not yet solved, the link gives nothing new for me.
    To amend my first post:
    After having created and activated my both small WD4A applications, I created 2 similar iViews (iViews for WebDynpro -> and chose WD ABAP) in my portal. Both iViews have the same namespace (which is SAP - is this ok?) and no application parameter.
    Then I created both a Standard SAP page and a WebDynpro proxy page and added the 2 iViews as deltalink. The page and the iViews have the same prefix (but this is not important, isn't it?).
    --> In both pages the portal eventing does not work
    The ABAP server and the Portal server are the same machine and I call the portal with the full qualified domain name:
    http://<servername>.<domain>:50000/irj/portal
    When I test my WD4A applications in se80 I get the path http://<servername>.<domain>:8000/sap/bc/webdynpro/sap/z_event_receiver?sap-language=EN
    so this is the same domain.
    I even have an entry in my hosts-file for
    <myInternalIp>  <servername>.<domain>
    - Do I have to specify the domain explicitly in addition when integration the WD4A applications in the portal?
    - Is there a correlation between the Portal Event namespace, the namespace of my iViews and page and the domain name of my server?
    - Does the portal event namespave to have the prefix urn: or not?

    What version of Lomboz are you using? J2EE View was available in Lomboz 2.x releases and is not found in later releases. These olde versions used a lightweight JSP editor based on jasper. Your message looks like it is related to that.
    I would recommend upgrading to one of the later releases such as 3.3, which can be found at:

    Yes, any version of PSE qualifies for upgrade pricing, but if you're in the US you might want to consider running the trial  for now and waiting for the black friday specials, when the full version will be a lot less than the adobe upgrade price.

  • Customized strings in iPad viewer not working?

    Hello,
    per request of client i've tried to change one string in viewer for iPad. So i've created template in DSP App Builder, modified this template on my computer, choose this file in App Builder and prepared another build (V28). Unfortunately, i still see old original string (i've double tested that i'm downloading new version of app). When i now check DPS App Builder, it just says "Asset stored on server", so i asume, that everything goes smoothly on this side.
    Any similar experience with customized strings?

    That's odd. It worked for me when I tested it. Perhaps you should try moving the current xml file to a different folder, downloading a new version, copying and pasting, and rebuilding.

    I am trying to create a Materialized View as below:

    where rownum < 5000 order by employee_id desc ;But while querying the MATERIALIZED VIEW, it did not work successfully as the data did not appear in the accurate order.
    I tried to create the same MATERIALIZED VIEW but order by another column (Column Date), it worked successfully and the data appeared in the accurate order.
    It means that MATERIALIZED VIEW not work successfully with the first column (id).

    A few pointers :
    1. As has been pointed out, the ROWNUM has been incorrectly placed. ROWNUM values are assigned as rows are fetched from the source before the ORDER BY. You need to ORDER BY first (in a SubQuery) and then ROWNUM afterwards (outside the SubQuery).
    2. I wonder why you want only the last 5000 EMPLOYEE_IDs. What if Employee_ID 1 is still an active employee (he is the founder, first employee and CEO ?). There could be very many "low" EMPLOYEE_IDs that are still active.
    3. Logically I would expect some filter other than the ROWNUM ... ORDER BY to be used to select candidate rows. Then, an ORDER BY in the CREATE query would be unnecessary.
    4. When querying the Materialized View you must explicitly ORDER BY (irrespective of whether you did or did not do an ORDER BY in the CREATE ...)
    5. How do you expect to refresh the MV ? Will it always be a COMPLETE Refresh ? Remember that your "5000 employees" filter would likely exclude older employees at the next refresh. If you use some other filter, it should be consistent across all refreshs.

    How do I remove or delete files and image files within a document foler?  I have tried dragging the files to the trash, but that is not working. 

    Right-click (or ctrl-click) on a file. If the "move to Trash" option is greyed out, select "get info" and read the permissions at the bottom of the info window.
    Wat are they?
    Do the same for the enclosing folder - what permissions does that have?

    Do you have Flash installed? You need a different version of it for Firefox. The plugin for IE will not work with Firefox. You can get it here:

  • Post-Install Batch File Won't Run

    Ok here's the deal. I have created an application that needs a little "cleanup" after the installer finishes. To handle this operation, I created a batch file and told the LV installer to run it after the installation. This works fine on every computer I have tried it on ---
    Except One
    Thinking that there might be a problem related to the commands themseloves, I added echos to a log file to save any errors that might occur and to save basic information like paths. However on that ONE computer I don't get the log file even being created, which says to me that the batch is not being executed. However, If I go to the installation direcctory and run it manually, it runs, it does what it is supposed to do and it  stops.
    The computer this happens on is a corporate laptop that is configured interms of security and permissions like every other corporate laptop. 
    I am officially confused. Any ideas? WAGs? Suggestions? Recommendations?

    I remember years ago when this feature first came out I tried it with a batch file and I thought it didn't work, and that it only supported running an EXE not thing else.  Since then they apparently fixed that.  So my only suggestion is maybe to try to run an EXE instead of a batch file?  Of course it sounds like it is working on other machines so I doubt that is it.
    What about UAC?  You say it is a corporate machine so I doubt you can, but maybe lower the UAC to nothing and see if it works.  Of course if it doesn't that probably isn't a good solution.
    Anti-virus running?  Some have a log of the things it blocks, and it might list the fact that it prevented a batch file from running.
    The only time I ever used this feature on an EXE I don't remember it not running on the dozen or so PCs I used it on.

  • Batch File Won't Run as a Scheduled Task

    I have two batch files that won't run as scheduled tasks but run perfectly fine when I double-click them.
    I've already set them to run with highest privileges, the account running them is an administrator account, that account has full permissions to the folder and file. I've checked every thread I could find but they simply won't run. No error, no log, nothing...
    If I right click the scheduled task and select Run, nothing happens.
    Any ideas?

    Hi,
    As far as I know, you have to enter the script folder in the "Start in" field. Else it just won't work - and won't really give you any meaningful error messages. So, please check your setting.
