  • HT1766 iPhone 5 battery drained out then stopped registering onto network (continuosly searching), IMEI not shown

    Hello Everybody..
Somebody please help me out, I am in real trouble:(
My iPhone 5 was working perfectly well, i updated my OS to iOS 7 and then the couple of updates that came after that.
Last week, my battery drained out and the phone switched off. I charged it and powered the phone back on and ever since it has not been able to connect to the mobile network. It was continuosly searching for network, even if i removed my sim card from the tray it showed the "searching" status instead of the network bar.
I tried all possible fixes, with first a network settings reset, then an all settings reset, powered on off several times but to no avail.
I then noticed that my phone wouldn't show its IMEI number when i dialed *#06#, neither was the IMEI number being listed in Settings>General.
Restoring iPhone seemed to be the perfect thing to do, but the Find my iPhone App wouldn't get turned off and itunes wouldn't let me proceed with restore while this app was on.
Now the only way to Turn Find my iPhone was by going to iCloud.com/find and erasing my phone from the find my iPhone App and then removing my phone from the Find my iPhone device listing.
I erased my phone, took it out of the Find my iPhone device listing, and when my phone restarted the usual activation screens came but I have not been able to activate my iPhone.
Error : activation server temporarily unavailable.
I tried multiple times, I tried via itunes via wifi but I just can not.
Please help somebody! I am going crazy!

  • HT1688 iphone 4 battery draining out

I believe there were a lot of people who were having issues with battery draining quickly after the iOS 6 upgrade. The latest patch release from Apple was suppose to fix the issue, but for me the issue has become worse. It drains out to almost 74% in 1/2 hr phone call and upto 40% in 2-3 hours with nothing else.
Has anybody else have similar experience? Is Apple releasing another patch soon? I use this phone for my office calls and mails, and constant need to keep it charging is hurting my mobility.

  • Why is my ipod touch battery drain out so fast

My ipod touch is 4g 8gb and I had it for two years, it is also ios 6.1.6 . I bought my ipod in 2013 and it was working great, but later on in the second year it wasn't. Every time it was fully charge and I take it out of the charger in one second or five sec the battery level would move very fast and then shut down and say it is low in battery. I can't use my ipod without plugging it in my charger or else it would shut down in like 5 sec when I am on it. I always close open apps and I tried resetting my ipod settings but nothing work. I don't know if it was the soft ware update to ios 6.1.6 that caused the battery to drain out so fast, but I don't know what is causing this problem.

As Skydiver said, if only the battery is bad
Apple will exchange your iPod for a refurbished one for $79. They do not fix yours.

A third-party place like the following will replace your batter for less. Google for more.

Replace the battery yourself if you are up to it. A replacement battery costa about $15

  • HT4623 Ever since I updated to 6.0.2 on my iphone5 the battery drains out at lightspeed. it won't last a full day on stand-by which is not normal at all. Will apple fix this soon?

Apple: Please update the iOS and fix the battery issue. My brand new iphone5 went from lasting 3 days to lasting 18 hours or standby. You've introduced a battery bug in there as you tried to fix the Wifi issue. thanks.

Unless Apple replaced your battery, and it appears they didn't, you're pretty much on your own now. Have you tried going back to whoever replaced your battery? That's gonna be your only choice now, because if a third-party replaced your battery, Apple won't touch your phone now.

  • HT4060 What's best for maximizing the life span of the battery, to run out the battery before charging it again or to charge it before it drains out completely?

I usually charge my iPad after all the battery drains out but someone told me it damage the software so I wanna know if draining out the full battery is good or not. Thank you.

Lithium based batteries as in the iPad do not respond well to repeated draining.

  • Iphone 4S resets itself every few min - the battery drains in an hr.

My iphone 4S is resetting every few minutes as a result the battery drains in an hour.
By resetting I  mean, the lock screen would show up, then the apple sign would come up like when you start your iphone, searches for the network etc. This happens every few minute even when the phone is on standby or when I am using it. If I am on the call, then the call gets disconnected because the phone is resetting.
The usage always shows "-" for both Usage and Standby with the message that the usage time will be shown after iphone is fully charged.
This started only a month ago when my phone was not on the latest os version. But now it is on the latest but the problem never did go away. It never fell out of my hand or fall into water and is barely a year old (just 10/15 days over the warranty period).
    Please help!

And I should mention that I took the foll steps so far:
    1. Let the battery drain out completely and charge it overnight
    2. Backed the phone, then reset the phone and restored from backup.
    3. Took it to the apple store and they did a different kind of restore but no luck
The only thing left for me to try to is to reset it to factory setting unless some one can suggest some other way.

  • IP4S Battery Drain Was 8% hour.  Restored As NEW PHONE Via iTunes Battery Drain Now 1% per hour!

RE:  iPhone 4S rapid battery drain out-of-the-box.
I had been experiencing a battery drain of 8% per hour.
Apple's software update did not make it better!
I then restored my iPhone 4S as a NEW phone and now my battery is draining at 1% per hour with all settings at maximum for battery drain.
Apple could have done more to make millions of customers happier customers.

Thanks for sharing.  Restoring the phone first from backup then as new is one of the standard troubleshooting steps outlined in the User Guide.  Too bad more people like you don't realize this.

  • Lumia 820 battery drain after "Black" update

    Hi all,
Yesterday I finally received the black update on my NL820. After applying the update successfully I charged the phone to %100. Before I went to bed I had:
    Battery at %94
    Wifi - Off
    Data services - Off
    Location services - Off
    Bluetooth - Off
    Battery Saver - On
This morning I wake up and it is unusually bright outside - the phone powered off, the alarm didn't go off and I overslept for work. I haven't touched any other settings after the update. Everything is the way I used it before. What is it that could drain a battery in the space of 8 hours from almost full to power off? I've had this happen on the same phone twice prior to the upgrade as well but then I thought I've forgot data services on or something. This time I'm sure everything was off.
    Please advise.
    Martin

I have been using Lumia 820 since 1 year and have never faced any issues. But after the recent "black" update... my mobile battery drains out within few hours after i charge it 100%. I have to charge it 3-4 times in a day ..
    1. I dont have any GPRS connection.
    2. I use wifi at home (only evenings). The rest of the day.. I use it only for calls and texts.
    3. I have tried hard reset, but that dint help.
    4. After hard reset, I dint update my mobile software.
I charge it till 11pm and when I wake up at 5 am .. I see the mobile is switched off and I cant depend on the alarm to wake me up . That makes me so nervous.
Please bring out some solution to this problem. It is so irritating to charge the mobile for so many times in day.

  • Battery drain to fast 9h :( Help

Hello everyone my first post! HELP
Só guys my problem is that my battery fully charged at 100% and with all tweaks for get a battry life extended drain in my opinion to fast guys! So i did test i charged the phone to 100% in airplane mod no wierless turned on even the brightnes of lcd set to minimum phones battery drain out in 9h, yes sounds cool but all this 9h i was sleeping so i even didn't use phone, phones was fully charged at 00:50 and today at 9:42 when i puted it to charge there was only 2% left, i did only check the flipboard to see news this morning.
I have to charge phone every day! Also i did restart of fone so just in case that it can help but no luck!
Battery was changed in store is new.
Guys how much time your battery is take to drain out ? with normal use of iPhone.
thank you and please give some feedback!

There are a lot of known battery issues right now with the 4S; Search around here a little bit, and you'll see them.
First step is to plug your phone into iTunes and tell it to upgrade to the latest software. Apple released an update just a couple days ago that helps fix the battery life problem. It hasn't been fixed enough, and it still is problematic, but the update does help, and they are aware of the problem.

  • Is normal to go hibernation without any notice or sleep when battery is out

Hi, I received new Macbook Pro 15" last Tuesday, and I just satisfied with it, though, when I was I out and I used it with battery and I got an alert message which I need to charge it soon or it going to 'sleep'. so I checked the battery monitor which is on my right corner of the monitor, tells I got about 10% or 20~30 mins of juice left. So I saved my work, put my computer sleep, I returned home, then turn my computer back awake, It tells again I need to charge it soon or It soon be 'sleep', again.
After I got message, I reach across the room to get the magsafe connector, but it soon be turned off. after I got connect it, and check the battery monitor and system profiler, all battery drained out(0% of battery left), and it charge whole battery from zero, which means, It hibernated(safe sleep), not slept, which I got it clear?
As far as I know, all the laptops(not much as new non user-replaceable mac laptops), should kept some battery to keep memory 'awake' even battery drain is imminent. so most laptop 'reserve' some quota of battery by force machine to sleep when reach some percentage of battery level reached, but my new MBP is just use every single drop of juice left of it's battery then, just screen gone black, then It won't turn on, only one battery indicator is blinking, which battery is very, very drained.
Fortunately, system session have been restored via some feature so called safe sleep, but I think it is not normal behavior, How do you think this is?

Oh, You mean Did I saw the light was blinking exactly the moment when the machine seems off, Right?
Well, frankly, It was such a abrupt event, I appalled by impact, which just screen is black out without any notice, not responding to anything, therefore I didn't even thinking of check those light is on or not.
But I talked to AppleCare technician in Seoul-where I'm located-on the phone this morning, I told my situation for half an hour or so, then he said he would take rundown test with same Macbook Pro Mid 2010 15" (not exactly same configurations, difference in CPU model-his one is i5 2.4 and mine is i7 2.66, and his display is standard one and mine is customized Hi-res. display) then call back when it is done, and in the afternoon, he called me back and said he tried the discharge battery completely twice via giving high workload like watching multiple high-definition videos with multiple wireless configuration simultaneously with highest power consuming setting he could get possible, when It is 91% charged, make whole battery discharge, then charge 30% and to start another whole discharge again.
Result : His machine seems identical. Same sequence was examined which I experienced, warning dialog box when about 5~10% average of battery left, and completely draining it until 0%, then, screen gone completely dark, sleep indicator light is on for average 30 seconds(as I told you, I don't sure I was saw this light on- which I'll going to check when I do another discharge), then went for complete hibernation. After connect to AC outlet, then turn it back on, the gray desktop will appears then just it recovered as before it gone dark(which 2 of total 3 times I had failed to do).
I had recommended to calibrate my battery(which I just done this morning, before I call them), then he checked I know and practiced SMC reset sequence correctly, and told me to retry it again to be safe and sure, then asked me to try use battery again until it hit the ground to watch what it happens. If problem persists, he also suggests the Apple Online Store, where I bought my customized MBP laptop, at only just 3rd of this August, has 14 days all satisfaction guarantee, and they won't hesitate to accept my request for exchange for my brand-new laptop for new one or even full refund if I wish.

  • IPhone 4S heats up and quickly drains out battery after upgrading to iOS 8.1.2

Last Sunday i.e. on 14-Dec-2014 i upgraded my iPhone 4S (WiFI + 3G, 64GB) to iOS 8.1.2. Since then my iPhone's battery has started to drain out abnormally fast (it doesn't even last an hour after charging it fully to 100%) and the phone even heats up simultaneously. When checked under Settings> Usage> Battery Usage, i found the app-wise usage of battery like this: Phone (Audio) 36%, WhatsApp-24%, Home & Lock Scree-17%, Settings-7%, Messages-5%, Mail-4%, TOI-2%, Conatact-2%, and rest few apps 1% each. Prior to upgrading the iOS to 8.1.2, the battery life of my iPhone was normal: i just had to recharge once in 24 hours with normal usage of the phone. Could anybody help me to fix the problem? Thanks in advance. -BBS Ijam, GTK/SKM/171214

I think iPhone 4s is oLd now we need to update our as I will have to change my battery from repair center maybe this will solve the problem the new iOS are heavy for our phones.
*** I also have extra internal battery cover for my iPhone. I can't go out without that cover because my iPhone battery drain so fast from 100% it will be maybe 60 % so fast that is so annoying.
Long story short my iPhone is screwed up I think I don't trust my iPhone battery anymore.

  • I got my iphone 5 3 weeks ago and the battery life is very short. It drains out very fast. Does anyone know if it's a problem with the iOS or with my phone? Because I'm a bit concerned

I recieved my iPhone 5 3 weeks ago and the battery life completely *****! After doing a few things and maybe using it for about 30 minutes the phone start overheating like crazy then the battery starts dropping very fast. Does anyone know if it's a problem with the iOS or with my phone? And is anyone else expierenceing these problems?

It sounds like you have an app that is incorrectly continuously using data and power... from normal use the phone should NOT be getting that warm... only constant video playing via data like Netflix for example would result in that...
I'd say that you should remove all apps in the recent app tray... tunr phone off... then once you power back on...
Hold BOTH home and sleep wake buttons together until you see a white apple symbol... then release both buttons...
This will ensure you have no apps running...
I've experienced a hang up with mail while out and about that has resulted in this on my iPhone as well... Once I performed these steps it was fixed... it seemed like it got stuck and that's what caused the warm phone and battery drain...
I notived that when it gets stuck (mail app that is) I will see the text connecting at the bottom and it never changes to "updated" like it should... this is my trigger that it's gotten stuck.
Have not really figured out what causes mail app to get stuck yet...
