My Battery Draining Very Fast after Updateing 7.1.1

Your device might keep syncing your Emails,  Contacts and some other applications.
Reboot your device in this manner, when the device On,  connect to the wall outlet charger and remove the battery. Leave it for 30 minutes then reinsert.  You may need to do it once a day, until the issues solved.  Reboot in this manner will fix any incorrect battery meter and similar apps error.

my iphone 3gs battery drains very fast it won't last for whole day
i just uses mail application and  facebook for some time
can u tell why the problem is or need to change battery

I'm having the same problem with my 3Gs.  In my case it is not the apps int he background or the brightness, or wifi or email push.  The folks at the apple stroe tell me that there is some software glitch that shows up every few months.
I can only get rid of it by restoring my phone as a new device.  In which case I lose all of my contacts, settings and all data.  VERY frustrating. I had recived two new phones (before applecare ran out) and have done the resotre several times.  No one can tell me what is in that creates this probelm.  I've tried differenet chargers one by one in case they are the probelm.  one int he car, one in a kitchen outlet, one at my home computer (sync) and on at my office computer (non-sync).
Problem just showed up again randomly two days ago,  no new apps or hardware.  battery drains from full to 0 in two hours.
    Apple, please fix.

  • I have Find my Phone enabled. Could a thief switch off location services to stop it being tracked? If so, an update must place the location services and icloud into the restrictions menu to be protected by the pin to stop it being turned off????

I have Find my Phone enabled on iphone and ipod. Could a possible thief switch off location services to stop it being tracked? If so, an update must place the location services and icloud into the restrictions menu to be protected by the pin to stop it being turned off, surely????

Now find a way of stopping the thief removing the SIM, or simply turning off the phone or restoring it.
The "Find" feature is useful if you mislay the phone, but not usually of value if the phone is stolen.

  • Q 10 became extremely slow in responding after update to 10.2.1.537 - battery draining very fast since, too

    Hi,
my Q10 now got very slow after the  update to 10.2.1.537
It takes ages for switching from e.g. text to E-Mail Inboxes, from Hub to oriority Hub view or just to opening an email or an app.  Also, it s draining the batterry very fast. Down to 20% after only 3 hrs , and than it is switching off. Even in Aircraft mode the battery is down after 5 hrs without me even touching the device.
    Any clue what went wrong?

I am also experiencing all kinds of problems since the 10.2.1.537 upgrade. I now have to reboot my Q10 constantly as it will just freeze intermittently! After making a call I sometimes have to wait 5 minutes+ untill I can make another call. My battery also drains very fast - I have to charge it everyday.

  • My battery drains very fast on 3G after I have updated to iOS 6.

I have recently upgraded my phone to iOS 6.0.1. On 3G the battery drains very quickly

I have exactly the same issue since iOS6 upgrade ona 4S - 3G not working at all, Wifi is OK though. Major own goal by Apple here I think...:(

  • I have updated ipad3 to ios7 and now battery drains very fast even when not in use

Why is my battery draining so fast even when I'm not using it . last night I put it down with 45% and woke up to dead battery. I upgraded to ios7 last week. I have ipad 3.thanks

    Hi!
I have an iPad 3,3 GSM. I didn't update it since iOS 5.1.1. iPad works almost a week for me. And updated it to 7.1 at last Friday.
After update my battery drains notable fast. ~10-12% overnight(~8h) in standby mode. I've tried to turn off parallax, all location services and background apps. But nothing's changed.
So I''ve found that in usage section I ve almost the same values of usage and standby time. And I realized that one thing that drains my battery is "Find my ipad" service!!! I turned off it and my ipad works as with iOS 5.1.1:
2% overnight max!! And now it's drained only 14% after 4h20m of usage with parallax turned on! (yes i've only surfed web and read a book but nevertheless)
So it's your choice what to prefer - be sure that your ipad either protected from stealing or long battery life!

  • Battery drains very fast on 4S after upgrading to iOS 6

My phone battery was performing reasonably fine before the iOS 6. Now:
The battery gets drained very fast. It used to last for 24hrs (on average) on the previous OS but now does not work for than 14hrs.
The phone gets switched off when the battery reaches 10%. So basically I am only using 90% of my battery
If Apple is not going to fix this issue then i have no solution except to downgrade it to iOS 5.1.1
Any suggestion or advice would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks

  • Battery draining very fast on MacBook Pro

Just in the past month my battery has started to drain unusually fast.  It will go from 100% to less than 20% in 3 hours.  Most of the time the only programs I am using are Microsoft Word and Safari (thus, wi-fi), but even if I am not actively using web pages it drains very fast.  It doesn't seem to help if I dim my screen.  Any ideas?  Is it just time for a new battery?

    Pre-Mavericks
Open Activity Monitor in the Utilities folder.  Select All Processes from the Processes dropdown menu.  Click twice on the CPU% column header to display in descending order.  If you find a process using a large amount of CPU time (>=70,) then select the process and click on the Quit icon in the toolbar.  Click on the Force Quit button to kill the process.  See if that helps.  Be sure to note the name of the runaway process so you can track down the cause of the problem.

  • I dropped my iPhone 5s (with a otter box) and the rear camera just stopped working. It also now starts to over heat near the rear camera and the battery drains very fast.

I dropped my iPhone 5s on the floor on accident. Of course I have a otter box on it, but when i picked it up, the rear camera stopped working. Also the area around the rear camera started to overheat. I was so hot that it you touch it it will burn you. The battery also started to drain very fast.

You broke it. That seems pretty obvious. A case, including the otter box, is not a magical force field that can protect your phone from the force of gravity.
make an appointment at the genius bar. An out of warranty replacement will cost you $269.

  • TS2634 Battery draining very fast?

My iphone 4s battery suddenly began draining very fast with no change in how I use the phone.  Any way to correct this?

You might try force closing all your apps: double-tap the home button, tap and hold one of that apps in the list at the bottom until it wiggles, tap next to all the apps on the list to close them, finish by tapping the home button.  Hopefully that will resolve things.  Also, there are some suggestions from Apple on maximizing battery life here: http://www.apple.com/batteries/iphone.html.

  • My battery drains very fast in 3G

    hi
i am using an iphone 3G. When i came to bahrain, i changed a new sim and the battery started draining very fast.  hardly it stays for 5 hrs even without using.  the same problem arose when i changed the sim in london and istore replaced a new phone for me.  Can any one let me know a solution why the battery drains so fast and how do I fix it.  SIM change may be accidental also.

  • Battery Drains Very Fast After Installing Windows on BootCamp.

    Hello,
I Bought MBP 13" Mid 2014 Retina Display last week and it wasn't a good start for me with Apple as I face the problem with FileVault and now with the battery. I had installed windows in my MBP through Bootcamp, but after installing it my battery drains vey quickly. It doesn't even last for more than two hours. Does anybody has any idea what should I do to fix this problem?

How long does the battery last on the OSX side under similar use?
