BB Bridge won't find my BB 9700 after OS2 upgrade

After bridge didn't initially work, I started from scratch. I checked for updates on the phone's bridge, but it says the phone is up to date. Tried to pair via picture and manually but neither worked (pic didn't work before OS2 either).
I also can't tether, although I could tether and bridge fine before.
NEVER MIND. I REBOOTED THE PLAYBOOK, CHANGED THE DEFAULT NAME, AND IT WORKED.

Can i change operating system from useless blackberry to other operating system on playbook tablet.

Lenovo G560 - Issue with won't boot and black screen after HDD upgrade.
What happen: My laptop was working fine, no blue screen issue, no funny business at all. I bought a new SSD Intel 120 GB and thought it would be a good idea to replace the HDD. I shutdown and disconnected the power adapter, waited a couple of minutes and removed the battery. I opened up the back case and replaced the HDD. And put all the screws back and put the battery back in.
Problem: The very first time I turned the power on, nothing happens besides a black screen. I pressed the dvd drive it works and opens up and closes. I waited for about 30 mins and still has blac screen. When I mean black screen, no bios menu, no logo, just a black screen with the fan sound on.
I have tried these:
1. Unplugged everything - battery, adapter, and pressed the power on button for about 60 seconds, nothing, the laptop turns on with the LED display on for both on and battery LED's. But nothing but black screen, no sound of windows loading just the fan and black screen.
2. I tried putting back my old 2.5" and nothing but black screen.
Thoughts and suggestions?

As per the query we understood that you are facing issue with system not booting in your Lenovo G560 laptop.
As you have mentioned that the system not booting, please try to remove the RAM and turn on the system and check if you can hear any beep sound. Also try to clean the RAM slots and check for the issue.
Click here for the steps to remove the RAM and refer page number 40.

Unable to find valid certification path after an upgrade from 11.1.1.6 to 11.1.1.7

Hi,
I had a small composite deployed in 11.1.1.6 and after an upgrade to 11.1.1.7 I am getting
javax.xml.soap.SOAPException: Message send failed: sun.security.validator.ValidatorException:
PKIX path building failed:
sun.security.provider.certpath.SunCertPathBuilderException: unable to find valid certification path to requested target
Does it mean that my soa composite now cannot validate the certificate of the server it is trying to connect to?
Can somebody share thoughts on how to fix it?

Thank you much for the quick response. Not having big knowledge under my belt in this area I tried
1. Changed the keystore passphrase under my managed weblogic domain for the Demo Identity Keystore
2. ./keytool -importcert -alias avsclient -keystore /dnat8o/fmw/jrockit-jdk1.6.0_29-R28.2.2-4.1.0/jre/lib/security/cacerts -file client_cer.cer
Was prompted with the password but entering what I did enter in step 1 didn't help. Do I have to bounce the managed server once I change the passphrase, if what I a mdoing makes sense at all, not sure

AirPort Utility won't find my AirPort Extreme after original setup

I set up my AirPort Extreme with the AirPort Utility when I first got it. Now when I try to access it to change some settings, using AirPort Utility, it says there are no AirPorts around. I am connected to the wireless network (not the guest network) and the Internet is working fine. The green light is on.
Any ideas?

Airports are discovered using a protocol called Bonjour (mDNS). If it is blocked, you cannot see Airports, but you can connect to them. If you connect directly to one of the LAN ports on the Airport using a cable and the MBP, are you not able to see it?
If you hold Alt and click on the WiFi icon on the menu bar and select Wireless Diagnostics, you should be able to see some details of the device. Are there any firewalls on your MBP?

Preview won't open JPEG's anymore after Leopard upgrade

Has anyone else had this problem? Now Leopard's Preview program will only open very few of my picture files. Cover-view has the same issue. Example: Pictures taken from my phone downloaded to my hard drive. Double-click on them to open, and all I get is a line in Preview... no picture. The pictures will open in Quicktime, however, but isn't Preview made to view pictures?? Why use Quicktime for that?!?

I have a similar problem with JPEG's. Not all of mine show a thumbnail preview, but when I click on them the finder crashes. Also, they will not import into iPhoto 08. I thought somehow my files were corrupt but last night I reinstalled Tiger and the files work just fine. I have no idea why Leopard is not able to read them properly. When I installed Leopard it was a clean install. This time I am going to try an upgrade and see if it has the same issue. If it does I am going to get rid of Leopard until they get a fix for this. 90% of what I do on the mac is regarding photography and right now I am finding Leopard to be extremely useless.

HT1296 itunes won't sync my audio files after I upgraded my iphone to i0S 6

I upgraded my phone to iOS 6 for the new features and could no longer play (or find) my audio books. The disk space usage indicated that the files were still there but the music player would not show or play them. I try to sync to iTunes Library and it fails. I upgraded my Mac OS and my iTunes versions to the current version and still no luck. Incidentally I also notice that when I try to make a purchase of new audio files through iTunes directly from my iphone it also seems to hang up. Occassionally after a couple reboots it may download but still shows my audio library as being empty.
Not sure where to go from here...any suggestions?

OK, this is weird/interesting . . . just now, syncing my iPad, I noticed that under the Music tab there were no syncing options available, just a message that said "iTunes Matching is on." I'd turned it on yesterday, in the Settings, just messing around trying to troubleshoot the audio file sync issue.
iTunes Matching didn't solve the problem, so I turned it off. Then resynced the iPad again from scratch. THIS TIME everything synced! Every single audio file, every playlist, everything.
So that's odd, right?? I mean, I'm happy that it's working, but I'm not sure why it didn't work to begin with, nor why it's suddenly working now. So it's good, but a little unnerving . . .

Basic Apple applications won't open on Mac Pro after Mavericks upgrade

Hi,
I'm having issues opening a number of basic applications including Quicktime and Itunes
Through the App store I have updated everything, the last one I was holding out on was updating Itunes. I did that last night and now today Itunes won't open.
I click the image in the dock, the icon briefly bounces upward and then after bouncing down does not open or display any kind of error message.
I am running a 2008 Mac Pro w/ 2x2.8ghz quad-core, 10gb of RAM, these issues began after updating to Mavericks.
Many other apps including FCPX, Adobe Premiere CC, VLC, App Store, are all working fine.
It seems to be an issue with just basic Apple software - please help!

Thanks for the suggestions... tried changing resolution and that had no effect, and I've checked my Perian and DivX installations in System Preferences and both say they are completely up to date. I upgraded Quicktime today to 7.5 before all of this became a problem -- but I don't know how to upgrade iLife. In Software Update everything is completely up to date (eg each of the iLife apps).
Oh well, iMovie is not very useful to me anyway -- just somehow annoying that it fails to work. No point flogging a dead horse!!

Why won't podcasts and store work after I upgraded to itunes 11.0.1.12

I upgraded itunes 11.0.1.12 and now my podcasts won't load and I can't get to the store. My internet is working and connected because I can get on other websites.

Looks like it was an external drive problem. Once I saw vids were skipping other video players, and file transfers from The WD drive paused and started like the videos played told me it was a hardware problem. No more Western Digital drives for me.

Background: I recently upgraded my installation done in August 2011 to the most recent packages with 'pacman -Syu' - which, amongst some other minor issues that I fixed, apparently broke my installation's boot sequence. Not sure if this is relevant, but I forced the upgrade as it's been prescribed here.
Note to self: do backups before any major upgrades like this.
Problem: The problem is of the same origin as seen in this post - systems lets me know it cant access the root partition anymore. I'm halfway through the procedure that pineapple-biku suggested but since my partition layout is different - and - because I don't have much understanding of what *exactly* I'm supposed to do and accomplish, I'm stuck for now.
What is the best way to find out the exact labels of encrypted volumes and their corresponding kernel device IDs (i.e. /dev/sda6 for 'tmp' and so on)? I have several volumes of the same size, thus it's hard to guess which is which without knowing for sure.
Details: My setup has an unencrypted '/boot' partition and 7 other encrypted partitions, including /root, /usr and others. These are contained within a single extended partition.
Any help will be greatly appreciated. In case I've left out some important information, let me know, and I'll do my best to provide it.

# ls -lah /dev/disk/by-label
# ls -lah /dev/disk/by-id
# ls -lah /dev/disk/by-uuid
This should get you on the way on discovering which disk is what exactly (you'll need to know the / and /boot partition in order to fix the issue).

HP8600 Plus won't send or receive fax after firmware upgrade

Hi All,
Suddenly my HP8600, refuses to send or receive fax. I get the message "Can'r send or receive fax" immediatley after power up. I have a strong feeling that the problem started after an automatic firmware upgrade to version OJP8600_N911a_R1435A . Unfortunately there does not seem to be a simple way to downgrade or is there? HP refuses to tell. I have checked the telphone line and the connection also tested with another fax machine. I tried resetting several times without any success. It is just out of warranty and works perfectly in all other respects.
Do someone have any ideas?

I understand you now cannot send or receive a fax, and I am here to share my suggestions with you.
No, you cannot reverse a firmware upgrade from my knowledge. I would suggest however, troubleshooting the fax problem by trying out the steps from this guide: Cannot Send or Receive Faxes
If the problem does happen to continue, and I wish that it doesn't, to give us a call to see if you have any out of warranty printer options.

IPhone won't synch with exchange server after ios5 upgrade

I upgraded to ios5 last night. I did not get the 3002 error however after reboot it asked me about use of location services, etc and then later about the "find my iphone" feature - at this point the phone got stuck - no matter which selection I made when I picked the Done button nothing happened. I had to do a reset and it came back up OK (not sure what the status is of Find My Iphone feature - but more pressing is the fact that I can't connect to our exchange server. After putting in my credentials it seems to connect and the name of the mail server gets filled in, but then in the next step it says "Unable to verify account information" and its game over.
Any thoughts if this is a phone setting or a server setting? I think we are using Exchange 2003.

WebLogic 10.3.5.0 won't stop or start propperly after Jdev upgrade

Our developers have installed Weblogic with Jdeveloper. Now I'm trying to setup a production environment and use only the ADF runtime version.
From download ADF runtime is only available in version 11.1.1.6.
With this I was able to start and stop WebLogic, login to the console thru http or https.
Now I've done the upgrade to ADF 11.1.2.3 using $MW_HOME/wlserver_10.3/common/bin/config.sh.
The weblogic process does start, but the console doesn't show. Not on client nor server (Oracle Linux 6.3).
When I use stopWebLogic.sh to stop WebLogic , I get :
java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: PermGen space.
I've set the MaxPermSpace in setDomainEnv.sh to 4096m. Still it seems the MaxPermSize value is not used.
After this error, the java process remains. The java process :

App store won't install apps on macbook after yosemite upgrade

I cannot install or upgrade any apps from the app store since upgrading to OS-X Yosemite. The button greys out when I click install and nothing happens until I navigate to another tab and back to the item I'm trying to install - the button is enabled again. It doesn't matter how many times I click it, the behavior is the same.

Try resetting the App Store and Clearing Cookies.

My Mac won't stay connected to Internet after Leopard upgrade

Suddenly after upgrading to Leopard, both Safari and Mail report that Mac OS X isn't staying connected to the Internet. I'm using AirPort and a cable modem and it's always been reliable before. But now there seems to be something jumpy/fishy going on in the AirPort menu in Leopard's menu bar. The list of available networks changes very often and although my own network remains checked, Network Diagnostics shows that I am indeed getting disconnected often and for long lengths of time. But everytime I restart my Mac, my Internet connection is restored.
I had fully expected BETTER networking in Leopard, not WORSE.

After I Hard set, I then went into Leopard's new interface for the AirPort Utility. Very straight forward to configure to set your station(s) up again. I've not had a problem since.
