BB Link Install fails with message "Some of the installation files from the previous versions of the software could not be removed. Make sure that no other application is using these files."
Has anyone seen a solution to BB Link failure with this mode?
Yes - there was an interval of days between the unsinstallation of the original BBL, when I was not using the Z10. I had resorted to using my 9810 and had re-established my BIS Account. Originally I was not aware that the Z10 caused my BIS Account to go away, so I returned to using the 9810,
Recently, I went back to reinstall the BBL and considered activating the Z10 again, however now I am unable to install BBL.
Do you know where I can find the Launch version of BBL? Perhaps reinstalling that will work?
Incidentally, I had unistalled BB Desktop 7 one time including all recommendations for a clean uninstall and did perform a system scan.
It may help to mention that I am running VISTA32 business in case that is germain.

Note: I trashed the download and tried re-downloading but this effort was unsuccessful.Since writing my original post I decided to send the following message to Mac App Store Customer Support:
"I have had to download this file from the app store at least ten (10) times. I try to install the file but I keep getting the message "The software could not be verified. It may have been corrupted or tampered with during downloading."
I then delete the same file and try another attempt at a different time of day. Most recently following Apple Support's advice I contacted my ISP to clear the file cache but they could only clear my browser cache. I have deleted my com.apple.appstore. folder which contains app store cache, also com.apple.appstore.plist and tried again to no avail. I have wasted hours doing all this and I now want my money back please. You can keep this software update until you release it on disk like Snow Leopard which installed like a dream. I'm very disappointed with Apple that they expect the purchaser to do all the work trying to diagnose their software installation issue. Nice idea but poorly executed has been my experience."

Yes. I've found that works best. Especially if the drive is external, since external connections are typically slower, and Spotlight loves to eat up space going back and forth. Time Machine will eat up as much space as it can, and typically needs drives at least twice the size of the original hard drive that is being backed up, if being backed up in full. So unfortunately there is a lot of empty space that is needed for smooth operation.

I encountered the same error "…can't be verified…" error on my 2010 MBP too. Tried six times and finally I could get it installed. Here's what I did:
Went to "Users & Groups" in System Preferences, checked that the Apple ID specified for the current user is the same Apple ID I used in the download purchase of ML from the App Store.
Rebooted in Safe Mode.
Went to Disk Utility -> Repair Disk Permissions
Downloaded ML at midnight (and the download was significantly faster!)
Rebooted in Normal Mode.
Ran the ML Installer. -

You have a defective download and need to re-download the installer.

Change the permissions on the download in /Applications
sudo chmod -R a+rw /Applications/<<the download filename>>

Since upgrading to Mavericks, my Canon MP980 printer no longer works. I've tried deleting the printer and adding it again. I've downloaded the driver software from Canon. My Mac dropbox tells me "the selected printer software is available from Apple", but when I click to download it, the process ends with my mac saying the software is not currently available from the software update server.
Open Finder and click on Go > Go to Folder. Then type
/Library/Printers/Canon
and press Enter. This will show the BJPrinter and iJScanner folders. You could try moving or trashing this folder and then installing the driver that you downloaded from Canon again. -

The couple of times I got a message like that, repairing permissions on the boot volume fixed the problem.

I have a new iPhone 4 which I cannot sync until I upgrade to the latest version of iTunes software (version 10.2.2). every time i try to create a new movie or a trailer an error message appear saying:"the operation could not be completed. no other information is available about the problem."
Open the iCloud preference pane and uncheck the Contacts box. Do the alerts stop?

Workflow Error Message: System Account - The Workflow could not set Content Approval Status
This is the first time I try an approval workflow. I am using a template in MS Word and assigned an approval workflow to it. The approval workflow is only going to one person in this case.
When I start the work flow the following 3 error messages show up:
Workflow Error Message: System Account - The Workflow could not set Content Approval Status. Enable content moderation for this list and run the workflow again.
Workflow Error Message: System Account - The e-mail message cannot be sent. Make sure the e-mail has a valid recipient.
Workflow Error Message: System Account - The e-mail message cannot be sent. Make sure the outgoing e-mail settings for the server are configured correctly.

For the first error: Did you set Content Approval in the workflow? If so, see if you have it in the versioning settings of the list settings.
For the second error: double check your recipient is set up as being valid. Did you type in the email address or is it referring to a people picker field? also, make sure that in the workflow for the email that you actually populated it in the
To: field.
for the third error: I suspect that either your farm is not configured for email. Or, this error is a knock on from the second error. If you get the second error rectified it may clear this error. If not then double check the email settings
for your farm.
