BCD Number

Hi experts,
I am getting a dump while executing one statement in a FM
The statement is:
INSERT MARA
        FROM TABLE ITIO_R_MARA
        ACCEPTING DUPLICATE KEYS.
The dump in ST22 says:
An exception occurred. This exception is dealt with in more detail below
. The exception, which is assigned to the class 'CX_SY_OPEN_SQL_DB', was
neither
caught nor passed along using a RAISING clause, in the procedure
"/1CADMC/OLO_000000000043567" "(FUNCTION)"
Since the caller of the procedure could not have expected this exception
to occur, the running program was terminated.
The reason for the exception is:
The data read during a SELECT access could not be inserted into the
target field.
Either conversion is not supported for the target field's type or the
target field is too short to accept the value or the data are not in a
form that the target field can accept.
It seems there is some BCD value that is to be inserted in the field /VSO/R_PAL_OVR_D of the table MARA. This is some invalid
BCD value that is being inserted into this field
Please help me out with your valuable suggestions.
I would reward all the helpful answers.
Thanks,
Ajay.

Hi,
  The best option would be making the unique index as non-unique index (Not quite sure whether it can be done or not).

  • How to set/diplay a BCD number from LookoutDirect?

    Is there a simple way to display BCD numbers?
    I can display it with the format 0x****, but how to take the 0x out?
    I read somewhere that I can use "****" or "****:B" or something like this
    in Lookout, but I havn't found in the manual about its explanation. How does the suffix work?
    for example, how can I input 3.00 and it becomes 0x300 in the PLC, and it will display 3.00 on my screen?
    Thanks.

    Thank you Khadim.
    I may not explain it clearly. What the PLC value 0x300 is a BCD number which means 3 seconds for the delay because it is a 0.01s timer. On my C-more HMI it is quite easy because I can choose BCD fromat and scale it to 1:100.
    Probably I can use a script in LookoutDirect, but I haven't got a clue yet.

    The above error are also present in the other Process log files.
    But when i saw the installation logs of the Source system the same errors are also there(but it was still Sucessfull Standard installation).
    there is one difference as well I am SQL SP3 (8.00.780) but existing Production server is SQL SP3(8.00.929).
    My installation is stoppoing here with error While executing Script.
    I've done Homogenous copy on WiN-ORACLE many times but on WIN-SQL i am doing very first time.
    While installation database phase it asked me for EXPORT CD twice first time for standard(which usually we got with SAP Software) and Second time for Migration EXPORT. that is different from ECC5.0 i think.
    Any suggestions?
    Regards,
    Vinay

  • How To Find Out Table Name At Database Level Trigger

    Table Name
    How do I will come to know the name of table on which currently DML statement is fired ?
    e. g. My current user is SCOTT. So Scott should realize the event of DML Statement fired. Hence my question is how the trigger on User Level is to be written & how to catch the event & table name on which the statement is being executed.
    Suppose my table is as follows
    Table Name : EMP
    EMPNO number
    ENAME varchar2(10)
    JOB varchar2(9)
    MGR number
    HIREDATE date
    SAL number
    COMM number
    DEPTNO number
    Bcd number
    Brcd number
    Rec_id number
    Scn_no number
    Sequences for above table
    1. EMP_REC_ID - minimum value is 1 increment by 1 & max value is unlimited
    2. EMP_SCN_NO - minimum value is 1 increment by 1 & max value is unlimited
    I have written a trigger as follows :
    CREATE OR REPLACE TRIGGER UPD_EMP_REC_SCN BEFORE INSERT OR UPDATE OR DELETE ON EMP REFERENCING NEW AS NEW OLD AS OLD FOR EACH ROW
    DECLARE
    BEGIN
    IF (INSERTING) THEN
    SELECT EMP_REC_ID.NEXTVAL INTO :NEW.REC_ID FROM DUAL;
    ELSIF (UPDATING) THEN
    SELECT EMP_SCN_NO.NEXTVAL INTO :NEW.SCN_NO FROM DUAL;
    ELSIF (DELETING) THEN
    INSERT INTO DELETED_ROWS (TAB_NAME, BCD, BRCD, REC_ID)
    VALUES (‘EMP’, :OLD.BCD, :OLD.BRCD, :OLD.REC_ID);
    END IF;
    END;
    Hence My problem is
    If my database user contains 800 tables then I have to write down 800 triggers (i.e. for each table).
    I want to write only one trigger at database level so that I can dynamically take actions, for this I need table name and the event on which the dml event has taken place.
    Any help in this matter will be greatly appreceiated.
    Regards
    Vikrant

    You cannot write a single trigger that applies to multiple tables. If you need a trigger for every table, you will need to generate 800 triggers.
    Rather than manually generating 800 triggers, you might write a code generator that generates triggers for each of the tables by querying the data dictionary (i.e. DBA_TABLES, DBA_TAB_COLS, etc).

  • Error  in Creation of Group Account Number Through FS00 or ob_glacc11

    Hi
    Experts
    I am creating group account number in fs00 nothing but group chart of accounts that can be done individually in fs00 or through ob_glacc11. There is balance in all the G/L accounts but for some particular G/L accounts the system is through.
    I am maintaining three ledgers one is for 16 periods, second one for 48 periods, third one is for 365 days.
    while running FS00 i am getting an runtime error : Packed field contains incorrect BCD format.
    DO glt0-rpmax  TIMES
         varying  saldo from glt0-hsl01 next glt0-hsl02.
         gesamtsaldo = gsamtsaldo + saldo.
    ENDDO.
    when i trace FS00 This glt0-rpmax is having value of 48. (periods) .
    please give me a solution how can i get the solution.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
    You have activated group account number. If you have any grp account number of your company please provide the group company account number.
    Else if you dont want to give group account number
    In T-code: OB13 remove group chart of accounts from your chart of accounts

    Hi Patrick
    I am working on this one as well. I have a UC560 with SIP Trunk provider Les.NET.
    It was working fine until a few weeks ago when something changed on the provider end and broke it. My hunch it is something to do with the SIP REFER.
    http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/support/docs/voice-unified-communications/unified-communications-manager-express/91535-cme-sip-trunking-config.html
    Here is an excerpt from the above page:
    Call Transfer
    When a call comes in on an SIP trunk to an SCCP Phone or CUE AutoAttendant (AA) and is transferred, the CME by default will send a SIP REFER message to the SP proxy. Most SP Proxy Servers do not support the REFER method. This needs to be configured in order to force the CME to hairpin the call:
    Router(config)#voice service voip
    Router(conf-voi-serv)#no supplementary-service sip refer
    Figure 3 shows the behavior of the CME system with the REFER method disabled.

  • How to get the page number in the break section?

    Hi expert,
    The user wants the page number came right after the Break group name if the break section contains more than 1 page. E.g.
    ABC Compnay
    XXXXXXXXXXX XXXXXXXX
    XXXXXXXXXX XXXXXXXXXXXX
    BCD Company, p 1
    XXXXXXXXXXX XXXXXXXX
    XXXXXXXXXX XXXXXXXXXXXX
    BCD Company, p 2
    XXXXXXXXXXX XXXXXXXX
    XXXXXXXXXX XXXXXXXXXXXX
    CDE Company
    XXXXXXXXXXX XXXXXXXX
    XXXXXXXXXX XXXXXXXXXXXX
    How to get the page number in section break level?

    Hi Wes
    * Create a Field on the margin.
    * Set its "Source" to "Page Number"/"Physical Page Number".
    * Click "Page Numbering" button.
    * In "Reset At" list box, choose the Repeating frame that surrounds your detail group in the layout.
    This should cause Reports to increment the page number until the "Company" repeating frame resets.
    Regards
    Sripathy

  • S440 problem downgrading to Win7 - /boot/BCD error

    HI,
    I´m trying to downgrade to Win 7 prof on a new S440.
    I have downloaded Win7 Prof 64bit from MS site, disabled Secure Boot in the Bios, but when booting Win 7 on external DVD drive, it quickly ends in a black screen telling:
    Windows faild to start .....
    File: \EFI\Microsoft\Boot\BCD
    Status: 0xc0000000d
    Info: An error occured while attempting to read the boot configuration.
    Trying to boot from a DVD having a Win 7 Home 64 bit, which works on "normal machines", it simply freezews during loading Windows to RAM. This seems to have somwething to do with the new UEFI.
    This is a show stopper, and cant uderstand why Lenovo do not provide a prober guide of how to down grade to Win 7.
    Apåart from this, there is no serial number writte at the buttom of the machine, meaning, we have to call Microsoft and convince them to give ua a key for Wint 7 prof.

  • Import Process without BCD value

    Dear All,
    Normally in an Import scenario,7 duties will be there(CVD,ECessCVD,Hig EcessCVD,BCD,EcessBCD,Hig EcessBCD,Spl Addl duty).
    We fill the 7 values while doing Customs MIRO and the MIRO number will be given while doing MIGO which adopt the values and posted.
    Our Client has faced a problem that,BCD is not there.But ECessBCD and Hig ECessBCD are there which might be calculated from the Assesible vlue too.
    But when Customs MIRO (without BCD) is entered,only 6 values(CVD,ECessCVD,Hig EcessCVD,EcessBCD,Hig EcessBCD,Spl Addl duty appear)
    When this MIRO number entered and posted in MIGO,the Customs value for the EcessBCD,HigEcssBCD,Spl Addl duty values gets differed.
    How to go with this?
    Regards

    Hi,
    During Custom MIRO, you need to enter the Ecess on BCD, Secess on BCD, CVD, Cess on CVD, Secess on CVD, and Additional duty.
    After saving the the Custom MIRO, Kindly check once again that all the entries.
    Once save the custom MIRO, it cannot change.
    During MIGO, you have to enter the commercial inv. No. ( Custom MIRO No.), In MIGO, only CVD, Ecess on CVD, Secess on CVD and Additional duty shows in Excise tab.
    But Ecess on BCD and Secess on BCD will automatically add to Material Account.
    Hope the above is clear.

  • NI 9870 and binary coded decimal (BCD)

    I have a scale that outputs the weight in 4 digit ASCII form which I would like to input into a CompactRio 9072 with a NI 9870 card and convert to a binary integer. The weight appears as the 7th to 10th character on lines that are terminated by a CR. I am thinking I will need a loop that once the 10th character is read, the 4 least significant bits of the 4 characters are converted from BCD to binary and the character counter resets to 0 when a CR is read. I need a good method for converting BCD to an integer value in either labview or vhdl. The rest of the logic for this project is in vhdl, so I would not mind adding the conversion logic there, except that all the algorithms I have found require decimal division or comparison in several clock cycles.
    Solved!

  • Compare varchar with number

    Hi,
    I had a problem as below:
    Create table Test (col1 varchar2(20));
    insert into Test (col1) values ('123');
    insert into Test (col1) values ('ABC');
    select * from Test Where col1 = 123;
    I get following error:
    ORA-01722: invalid number
    select * from Test Where col1 = '123';
    select successful.
    But when I perform following step:
    Delete from Test;
    insert into Test (col1) values ('123');
    insert into Test (col1) values ('234');
    insert into Test (col1) values ('345');
    select * from Test WHERE col1 = 123;
    Select successful.
    I just query why I can't compare 1 number to a varchar2 column when there is character record in that column. I'm using Oracle DB 10.2.0.2 and I believe oracle should be allow implicit convert between number char varchar2. Do I miss anything to make my first select statement return with the record I need?
    Thank in advance.
    Eng Khoon

    Hi,
    I had some new input for this post i created yesterday.
    Let say i create a new table with 2 column
    Create table test (col1 varchar2(30), col2 varchar2(30))
    I insert following data into the table
    col1 col2
    123 ABC
    ABC BCD
    234 ABC
    345 ABC
    BCD BCD
    I perform following select statement from above data:
    select * from test where col2='ABC' and col1=123
    I perform this test in my local DB (10.2.0.2) and I can successful selected out 3 rows;
    But when i perform same select statement in my server DB (10.2.0.2), it complain ORA-01722: invalid number
    Please help! Anything I can set so that my server also allow to perform the similar select statement?
    Thanks.

  • Function module to get spool request number

    Hi Experts,
    Is there a FM which basically returns the Spool Request Number generated by a particular Program / User ?
    System: 4.6C
    Thanks a lot.

    one more is there
    'RSPO_OPEN_SPOOLREQUEST'
    it will give the appropriate solution to your query.
    another one ,
    SUBMIT (p_repid) TO SAP-SPOOL
                       SPOOL PARAMETERS mstr_print_parms
                       WITHOUT SPOOL DYNPRO
                       AND RETURN.
    but it will create infinite loop , so use abap memory and export  a flag variable with
    a value to restricted the excution  of the above submit only once  and all the internal
    table and other data which you want in your program . below is the example .
    importing variable value set at first time to restrict the infinite loop .
    IMPORT var FROM MEMORY ID 'abc' .
      var = var + 1 .
    *checking variable to restricted scecond time exction of this block of code
    *IF var = 1 .
       v_memid = 1 .
       EXPORT var TO MEMORY ID 'abc' .  (flag variable to restrict the excution only once )
       EXPORT it_pernr it_pernr_quali v_memid TO MEMORY ID 'bcd'.(internal table and otherdata)
    submitting the spool request
        SUBMIT (p_repid) TO SAP-SPOOL

  • Logic Analyzer output of 7445N BCD-to-Decimal

    Hello All,
    I am testing the output of a 7445N BCD-to-Decimal decoder with the use of Multisim 10 word generator and the logic analyzer.  I have the inputs of the 7445N connected to the word generator counting up from 0 to 9 binary.  The first four inputs of the logic analyzer are connected to the inputs of the 7445N as well.  I can see the correct pattern of binary number being generated by the word generator at the logic analyzer. However, the logic analyzer connections to the output of the 7445N shows flat lines.  I don't see the binary numbers generated.  I connected logic probes to the output of the 7445N, and a binary pattern is shown.  If I connect a single line from the logic analyzer to the output of the 7445N, then I can see the logic low and high for that particular pin.  But again, if I connect more than one line from the logic analyzer to the 7445N, it goes back to a flat line.  Has anyone seen this before?  Is there a specific method to test this particular IC output with the logic analyzer?   Any help would be greatly appreciated!
    Thanks,
    Arnie

    I will do you even better. I will post the complete MS10 file for you to look at. All the settings of the simulator are defaulted. I thought I would let you know that so you wouldn't think I fiddled with the settings to make it work.
    Here it is and I hope this helps:
