BEA server connector

Does anyone know when the BEA server connector for Ganymede will be out? I really miss being able to run my bea test server from inside eclipse.
Sorry if that isnt the official name for it.
Thanks in advance
troy

I am running into a new problem now, I used to be able to right click on the server and
select "manage deployments" and via that avenue deploy projects to the server. I no
longer have a manage deployments option, I have a add remove projects option but my
projects dont show in that list. Is there something special I have to do to get my projects
to show up there?I am not familiar with the "manage deployments" action that you are referring to. What product were you using before?
The most likely cause of your projects not showing up in the add/remove projects wizard is that they are somehow in the form that's viewed as not compatible with that version of the server. What type of projects are they? They have to be WTP projects such as Dynamic Web Project or Enterprise Application Project. Plain java projects will not deploy. If you aren't sure, you can check in the project properties. All WTP projects will have a "Project Facets" page in project properties. If you do have WTP projects and have found the Project Facets page, take a look at the facets that are listed. Make sure that the versions of facets are compatible with WLS 9.2 (no Java EE 5 module facet versions or version 6.0 for the java facet). If all facet versions are correct, you should be able to flip to the runtimes tab on the right hand side of the page and select WLS 9.2 as your target runtime. If you do that for all your projects, they should show up in the add/remove projects UI.

  • Filemaker web server connector and 10.5

    i have been trying to install filemaker server connector which needs root access. i enabled root user and logged into it for the install but the installer still asks to login as root.
    is there anyway of forcing the installer? is there something else i can do to give the installer "root" access?

    Did you have a previous version of CF installed?  I had a similar problem that when I uninstalled CF and then tried to reinstall CF it wouldn't connect to IIS at all.  The website connector box showed no available IIS sites...  luckily I was just about to format and reinstall Windows 2008 and start over, but in the future that won't be an option.

  • Getting hostname/IP of the BEA server

    Hello,
    I need to know the IP of the BEA server the request is currently working on.
    I have a cluster with 2 servers inside, each running in its HW.
    The HW has IP and the BEA has different IP.
    We need to send a request (using URLConnection) to another servlet in the same application which must be running on the same server.
    We have used InetAddress.getLocalHost() is past, but now the HW's IP and BEA's IP are different and this causes problem.
    Is there an easy way how to get the IP from Java?
    We can put the IP into a property file, but this is not prefferd way, because we'd have different properties file on different servers.
    Thanks advance for any advice.

    Oops. Missed the important part. It is a custom class which does something like this.
    1. Gets the initial context.
    2. Looks up for "weblogic.management.home.localhome" and assigns it to an weblogic.management.MBeanHome object.
    3. Call getMBeansByType("ServerConfig") on the object mentioned in step 3 and assign the returned value to a Set object.
    4. Iterate through the Set created in step 3 and assign it to weblogic.management.WebLogicMBean object.
    5. Call getName() on the object in step 4 and check whether it is equal to
    System.getProperty("weblogic.Name").
    If the check returns true, call
    getAttribute("ListenAddress") on the object created in step 4 and convert it to String object.
    On similar lines, you can call getAttribute("ListenPort") on the object too.
    If this works for you, please assign the reward points.
    Cheers!

  • Configure web server connector

    I'm trying to install the trial version of cold fusion and
    get to the point where it prompts me to configure web server
    connector but don't know what to put for this.
    Please help!
    Thanks

    I'm installing the Developer Edition and I'm have the same
    problem with Vista. Can anyone help with this? I would love to
    consult this Installation guide mentioned but it is not easily
    found.
    After installation I get this:
    "You have successfully completed the first step in installing
    Adobe ColdFusion 8.
    However, the Adolbe ColdFusion 8 service does not appear to
    be running, the web server connectors did not install successfully.
    and the web server and/or website could not be reached on port 80.
    Possible reasons include the Adobe ColdFusion 8 service failed to
    start, the 2930 or 51800 ports are blocked, or the web server
    and/or website is not running or is not configured to listen on
    port 80 (in which case this is not an error).
    Do the following to complete the installation:
    1) Consult the installation Guide about how to manually
    configure the webserver connector.
    2) Ensure that anyfirewall software blocking ports 2930 or
    51800 is disabled.
    3) Ensure that Adobe ColdFusion 8 service is started.
    4) Manually configure your web server connectors
    5) Ensure that your web server and websites are started

  • TouchSmart 610z CyberLink Media Library Service issue with Windows Home Server Connector

    After unboxing and configuring my TouchSmart 610z PC at one point I noticed that they TouchSmart "Photo" app stopped working.  Whenever I launched the app, I would get an error message stating that "Cyberlink MediaLibrary Service has stopped".
    I called HP support and after trying several things, the rep advised me to do a full system recovery (Factory Defaults).   After the recovery, I started configuring (installing software and tweaking settings) and at some point the same thing happened again.  I tried to go back to various system restore points, but once the problem starts ocurring, it persists.
    After another fully system recovery, I started installing/configuring things 1-by-1 and testing the Photo app after each step (VERY time-consuming).  Finally I discovered that the "Windows Home Server Connector" software is what seems to cause the problem.  The connector itself works as intended, but there seems to be some conflict with the TouchSmart Photo app that causes the error message to appear/persist.   For what it's worth, my Home Server is an HP MediaSmart Server EX475.
    Anyone successfully connect their TouchSmart 610 to their home server and successfully run the TouchSmart Photo App?
    Seems like this might be a bug of some sorts.

    I see some message about a proxy. Have you checked that you can use the proxy from you network?
    If not you should turn the proxy off.

  • How to connect to Akamai using RTMP SDK (Adobe Media Server Connector for C++)?

    We need to stream live video to Akamai using RTMP. But, we are trying to connect using ADOBE RTMP SDK (Adobe Media Server Connector for C++ 2.0.1), but have no idea regarding how to connect to Akamai using the SDK. How to make the SDK respond to the server challenges for password etc. If this can't be done using the RTMP SDK, we can use plain C++ for the purpose. But for that too, we don't have any idea regarding the steps involved to make it work. If anyone has any idea on how to connect to Akamai using the RTMP SDK or using plain C++ (a sample code will be very helpful), please help us out. If you can suggest any C/C++/.NET library too which will help us achieve it, we are ready to do so. Thanks in advance.

    hi,
    I am sorry I can not help you.  Could you do me a favor? I know you are using Adobe RTMP SDK.I want to know how to get it.
    I tried to contact adobe at [email protected] but it seems to be an invalid email address.if you know efficient way,
    please tell me.Thank you very much.

  • Web server connectors did not install

    Newbie. I am trying to install the developer edition of

    and the web server and/or website could not bve reached on port 80.
    Possible reasons include the ColdFusion service failing to start,
    blocked 2920 or 51011 ports, or the web server and/or website is
    not running or is not configured to listen on port 80 (in which
    case this is not an error).
    Please complete the following steps to complete the

    1) Consult the Installation Guide on how to manually
    configure the web server connecttor,
    2) Ensure any firewall software blocking ports 2920 or 51011

  • Deployment from a single BEA server to a cluster

    Hi,
              We have developed a Web application on a single BEA server while we
              want to deploy the Web application on a cluster of 3 servers.
              1. Do you think we will need to change the code? since we have
              referenced the single server port in our code/properties files.
              2. Can I configure the single server as an admin server in a cluster.
              3. Would appreciate pointers to documentation.
              Thanks,

    Hi Ethan,
              As for source code changes, it depends on your app. We often do this type of
              consulting on clustering with Weblogic, and the common problems that we've
              seen are:
              --> session attributes must be serializable
              --> code that relies on globals (such as static fields or servlet context
              attributes)
              --> web processing that is not idempotent (makes seamless failover
              impossible)
              --> code that assumes the app server is the exposed address (i.e. the user
              types "http://www.myco.com" but that is just the address of the proxy -- the
              app server is hidden maybe inside a firewall on a machine whose name isn't
              visible to the end users)

  • WLI disables BEA Server to boot beacause of db-locks

    I am running a BEA WLI 8.1.2 and Oracle 9.2.0.4. I know old version, however the application works sort of. Recently I have begun getting lock on some of the WLI-state-tables with the signature <i>JPD_*</i> these locks disables the BEA Server from starting, apperently because WLI is reading the content of these tables during the boot phase.
    <br><br>
    My qustions is:<br>
    Is where anyway I can debug which tables are being read?<br>
    Is where anyway I can disable the associated processes susch that the tables are not being read?<br>
    Can I reconfigure my process to use an alternate table while fixing the lock?<br>

    Check if the number of tables in your old DB and new DB are same?
    Did you run the same sql script that you used for your old DB?

  • BEA Apache connector bug

    I'd like to open a bug regarding the Apache connector. We first ran into it back in 7.0 and I just confirmed today it still exists in 8.1 (at least Apache 2.0/win32).
    The bug is that the connector only forwards bodies for a subset of HTTP methods, so Webdav, for instance, is unusable via the connector.
    For instance, the ACL method, RFC 3744, when sent to apache looks similar to
    --- snip --
    ACL /dav/testuser/foo2 HTTP/1.1
    Host: localhost:80
    Depth: Infinity
    Content-Length: 690
    Content-type: text/xml; charset="utf-8"
    Connection: close
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" ?>
    <D:acl xmlns:D="DAV:">
    <D:ace>
    <D:principal>
    <D:href>xxx</D:href>
    </D:principal>
    <D:grant>
    <D:privilege> <D:read/> </D:privilege>
    </D:grant>
    </D:ace>
    </D:acl>
    but the BEA connector forwards this to BEA as:
    -- snip---
    ACL /dav/testuser/foo2 HTTP/1.1
    Host: localhost:80
    Depth: Infinity
    Content-Length: 690
    Content-type: text/xml; charset="utf-8"
    Connection: Keep-Alive
    WL-Proxy-SSL: false
    WL-PATH-TRIM: /
    WL-Proxy-Client-IP: 127.0.0.1
    Proxy-Client-IP: 127.0.0.1
    X-Forwarded-For: 127.0.0.1
    X-WebLogic-Force-JVMID: unset
    ... which of course times out since the body is not sent but CL is (correctly) specified.
    We have to ship our product with a separate apache module which changes all methods to a POST, then stuffs the real method in a header. Then in our special servlet that we ship just for BEA, we extract the real method from the header and use it instead of the POST in the ServletRequest.
    Can someone with karma at BEA file this bug? Other methods with bodies that I suspect will probably fail include OPTIONS, PROPPATCH, & PROPFIND. I also verified that arbitrary (ie non-RFC'd) http methods will fail to transmit a body as well.
    Our last customer who used our application with BEA was supposed to open a bug about this via standard support means but I don't have any record of it ever being done.
    Thanks,

  • Is there any MS Sql Server connector available for Flex Air.?

    hi,
       I want to connect my flex Air application with MS Sql server.* directly without any server side scripting. I got MySql Connector , which is available in  (http://code.google.com/p/assql/downloads/list). Like this is there any connector is available .Please share it
    thanks
    karthy

    I do have exactly the same questions. SO far the fas_mssql_connector.asp file is placed at the 'wwwroot' folder of the 'inetpub' folder of the IIS server. As hostname I use '[MyServer]' since it should run on the same machine and username and password are correct.
    The fas_MSsql_Clean file is setup in a way that the name of the database is specified and the url to the asp file is set as: http://[MyServer]/fas_mssql_connector.asp
    My SQL query looks like this:
    private function getDbData():void
        mssqlQuery("Select * from Tomat", "getDataO3");
    And the MXML document like this:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
    <mx:Application xmlns:mx="http://www.adobe.com/2006/mxml" layout="absolute" minWidth="955" minHeight="600">
        <mx:Script source="Actionscript/MSsql.as"/>
        <mx:Script source="Actionscript/SqlQueries.as"/>
        <mx:DataGrid x="148" y="95" id="dgData">
            <mx:columns>
                <mx:DataGridColumn headerText="Column 1" dataField="col1"/>
                <mx:DataGridColumn headerText="Column 2" dataField="col2"/>
                <mx:DataGridColumn headerText="Column 3" dataField="col3"/>
            </mx:columns>
        </mx:DataGrid>
        <mx:Button x="148" y="264" label="Get data" id="btnGet" click="getDbData()"/>
    </mx:Application>
    However the application is busy for a long time and I do not receive a single piece of data. Any help with this?
    Thanks in advance.

  • Move j2ee app. from bea server to bea integration server error

    we have deployed 2 of our j2ee application with no errors on bea application server 8.1 sp4. and they work just fine.
    now, when deployed the same 2 applications on intergation server 8.1 sp4, only 1 application works out. what i mean, if we access app.1 first it will work fine, and app.2 will not work at all. now if we restart the server and access app.2 first it will work fine and app.1 will not work .....
    is there any differeces we should take into consideration before deploying on the integration server.
    help is urgently needed

    You'd have to provide more details on what errors you're getting, the structure of your application, and what you're trying to do. I doubt anyone could figure out your problem without some of this information.

  • BEA Server license

    Hi,
    We recently installed WeblogicExpress Server 8.1 on a production machine with
    4 cpus (Windows 2000 Server).
    We used the license file from bea with license for 4 CPUS.
    However, when we monitor the system, it looks like only one CPU is being used.
    I am afraid the production license may not be working and we are still running
    on the evaluation license.
    How can I verify/correct this?

    Just open weblogic license file and it should look like that of below.Check for IP address,cpu section,expiration.Unvalued CPU means license is for as much cpu you have physically as weblogic couldn't able to translate from version 7 to 8.
    Default license will have first few lines like below
