Bean Builder 1.0 Sample Problem

Hi
I tried to do the sample but whenever I load this SimpleBean.jar file into the Bean Builder it won't appear anywhere so that I can drag it onto the pane. What am I doing wrong here ?
Any help is very much appreciated
Cheers
Rolf

Well I used the BeanBox instead and it's working now.

  • Bean Builder - no juggler

    Hello,
    I've just installed Bean Builder. In the run.bat file, I changed USE_JAVA=c:\jdk1.4 to USE_JAVA=c:\j2sdk1.4.1_05 which meant I finally got the thing started!...
    But there's no sign of juggler bean anywhere - as described in the on-line tutorial. I've searched through the forum and no-one else seems to have this problem. I'm guessing it's one of three things:
    1. I need to change something else in the run.bat file
    2. I need to download something else as well
    3. I am not starting the application correctly (I am just double-clicking on the run.bat icon. (I'm using Win XP.))
    4. I've unzipped beanbuilder-1_0-beta.zip into the wrong place
    5. The juggler bean is there somewhere but I'm too stupid to see it!
    Can anyone help?
    Thanks,
    James

    you have to clearly distinguish the difference between
    BDK (Bean Development Kit) and BeanBuilder.
    They are 2 different packages.
    After seeing what you wrote you seems to have downloaded BeanBuilder which
    MUST NOT have the Juggler bean contained, while BDK has.
    To download BDK (strongly advice for version 1.1, the earlier version seems
    to have some problems)
    http://java.sun.com/products/javabeans/software/bdk_download.html
    tutorial for BDK is here:
    http://java.sun.com/docs/books/tutorial/javabeans/TOC.html
    http://java.sun.com/docs/books/tutorial/javabeans/
    For BeanBuilder, download from here :
    http://java.sun.com/products/javabeans/beanbuilder/
    tutorial for beanbuilder is here :
    http://java.sun.com/products/javabeans/beanbuilder/1.0/docs/guide/tutorial.html
    Hope I can get the Duke Dollars.
    Thanks !!

  • Reports Builder has encountered a problem and needs to close.

    Hi All,
    The report builder in my system is behaving weirdly. If I open a report, which is having a normal browser output, it allowing me to see the data model, layout model and everything. And if I open a report, which is having a PDF output, it's not allowing me to open the Layout.
    Here the output is in context of Oracle Applications front-end. And as I know it shouldn't be a problem with Report Builder.
    It errors out with the following message.
    Reports Builder has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.
    And the error report contains the following message.

    I have tried reinstalling the software a minimum of 10 times, but no luck. At last I got my system formatted and tried. For the first time it worked for me, then I installed Forms Builder... then again I am getting the same problem even though I have different homes for Reports and Forms.
    Is it problem with my system or the Operating System or the version of the Oracle Developer?
    Can anyone please help me out?
    Thanks in advance,
    Lakshman.

  • Future of Sun's "Bean Builder" for JavaBeans?

    Hi all:
    Does anyone have ideas what the plans for the future of Sun's Bean Builder (JavaBeans) might be. This was put in Beta in Jan 2002 and I can't see any evidence of work done after that data. Form searches don't come up with a lot of positive comments.
    What would you use as an IDE for developing and testing JavaBeans?
    Are there any Open Source repository of JavaBeans?
    Thanks all
    Bill

    Bean Builder doesn't help much with building beans (bizarrely) but rather is more useful for testing them. More oddly, it tries to save beans as XML, and I can't get forte/sunone/netbeans to import these...
    I think if it was going anywhere, you would know by now...

  • How to use Bean Builder????

    How can I start the Bean Builder app.Do I have to connect to the Internet to use it.

    hi
    You need to install a bean developer kit to run the applications. for that u can install BDk developed by sun microsystem and download the same from the url www.java.sun.com/bean and install in the system. run the batch file in that directory provided. say u hav installed in bdk directory u get the batch file bdk-beanbox and run it and ull get a beanbox. to that beanbox u add ur programs to run the applications.
    hope this helps u

  • Dreamweaver 2014.1 Build 6947 (Mac) - save problem

    I updated to latest version yesterday and now have a problem when I save files which shouldn't happen on a 2012iMac saving to a thunderbolt drive - and didn't happen before updating.
    When I save a file i get to watch the (very pretty but boring) spinning top for a longtime. If the 'Force Quit' window is open it shows Dreamweaver 'not responding'. Mostly but not always Dreamweaver decides to respond again.
    Same site, same settings, same HDD as before the update.
    IMac: 3.4GHz i7 32GB RAM
    OS X: 10.9.5
    What have you broke?

    Hi Nancy,
    It seems it's a bug, so I will go back to the previous vetsion. Thanks for
    the link!

  • Reports Builder has encountered a problem

    Hi,

    Does anybody know why I'm getting this error.
    Any suggestions/advises would be appreciated.
    Thanks.

    This is a very known problem among the report developers, and no fixes exist. Just the Report Builder is buggy, and that's it. Something to do with memory allocation or like. The more complex the reprot is and the more other applications are open in Windows, the more often this error comes up. Save your report design as often as possible, that's the bottom line. If the error is still to often, reboot the PC. From time to time I had to reinstall the Report Builder with the patches to decrease the frequency of the error.

  • BI Beans Samples Problem

    Hi,
    I've installed BI Beans samples and they are working fine except servlet samples.
    Only bootstrap servlet example is working fine but other servlet samples generates errors. Custom query tool shows crosstab, but when i try to drill down, or try to change time and press go, then a got javascript error Object expected.
    In page source I can find link to javascript src file MarlinCoreA4.js, but a can't find this file on my HDD.
    Have any ideas.
    Thx.

    I would recommend upgrading if possible to JDev/BI Beans 10g as this new release has a lot of cool new features that make development a lot faster and easier. Included in JDev/BI Beans 10g Help System (this might also be present in the 904 documentation - sorry I cannot remember) are topics that should help you develop your servlet application.
    The Help system provides working code for the following areas:
    Building Servlet Applications
    Rendering HTML pages
    Handling thin beans events
    Using thin bean dialogs
    Preparing a dialog or wizard page in a Servlet
    Adding a graph or crosstab wizard to a Servlet
    Adding a PresentationBuilder to a Servlet
    Adding a Graph or Crosstab Wizard to a Servlet
    Adding a Presentation Wizard Page to a Servlet
    Managing state information
    Managing thin presentations

    Refer to the following link for a list of tutorials that will guide you through the steps you have queried about: http://www.oracle.com/technology/tech/java/ejb30.html
    Also, if you are attempting to call a session bean from your applet code you may run into firewall issues depending on your corporate infrastructure. RMI does not run over the ever popular port 80 and therefore is not always open on company firewalls. If you run into trouble you may have to use HTTP Tunneling. A better alternative maybe to call your session bean as a web service which is provided to you by default in the EJB 3.0 spec.

  • How to build and run sample extensions?

    I spend quite a while in trying to get the sample extensions to run, provided at
    Adobe-CEP/CEP-Resources · GitHub  or also in the Adobe Illustrator CC 2014 SDK for the Plugins that have a GUI.
    So far i did not succeed.
    System Windows 7 x64. Illustrator CC
    First try:
    Package one of the samples using the Adobe package manager. Added the whole folder of "CEP_HTML_Test_Extension" or as well the "TutorialUI" from the SDK samples.
    and then install the resulting zxp file it using the "Extension manager". No errors reported. Extension managers lists the Extension as active for AI CC. Started Illustrator.
    But i dont see anything in illustrator. There is no entry "Extensions" in the Windows menu of Illustrator.
    The menus of the Tutorial PlugIn are shown, but the Dialog of the sample does not show up. In the debugger i noticed that the call to pFnLoadExtension fails.
    Second try:
    Following the pdf "USING THE ADOBE EXTENSION SDK" (http://wwwimages.adobe.com/content/dam/Adobe/en/devnet/creativesuite/pdfs/CC14_Extension_S DK.pdf)
    Package done as before
    Activated PlayerDebugMode in HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Adobe\CSXS.5
    copied the zxp file to C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\CEP\extensions
    Same result. I do not see anything of a extension.
    I had no problems building and running the Sample Plugins though.
    What am i doing Wrong?
    How can i build and run a simple sample extension?
    Any help appreciated.

  • Eclipse-jcop project building { create .cap file } problem??????????????

    hello all,
    I am using jcop tool plugin with eclipse and my atr is:-
    --Opening terminal
    /card -a a000000003000000 -c com.ibm.jc.CardManager--Waiting for card...
    ATR=3B E9 00 00 81 31 FE 45 4A 43 4F 50 34 31 56 32    ;....1.EJCOP41V2
        32 A7                                              2.everything is fine with sample applet { it contain a empty process () or gives 90 00 for select applet apdu }
    I am using eclipse ide and jcop plugin, basically my problem is to building project when any changes occoured, initially when i start a new project with steps like:-
    1- java card project
    2-java applet
    3-package id
    4-applet id
    5-basic template of applet
    N- finish
    ok
    then when screen open, at the left side i saw cap file propery window ,and automatically there are cap file in bin folder.
    It means jcop tool used converter to make .cap file, but when i add some lines according to my requirment,
    I am unable to build it again or unable to get a new cap file. May be i need to set some build path , but first time it automatically build so it also indicate that there are no need to set the build path. I am confused in this area.
    Is i need to reference the path of converter.jar { jcdk 2.2.1 }? or jcop plugin also have the required jar for converting .class to .cap , inside it. how i rebuild it and make a new fresh .cap file.
    some jar file which i paste in plugin folder of eclipse are:-
    com.ibm.bluez.jcop.eclipse.demopack_1.0.2.jar
    com.ibm.bluez.jcop.eclipse.perftest_1.0.2.jar
    com.ibm.bluez.jcop.eclipse.signlite_1.0.2.jar
    com.ibm.bluez.jcop.eclipse.targetpack.gemplus_1.0.0.jar
    com.ibm.bluez.jcop.eclipse.targetpack_1.0.3.3.jar
    com.ibm.bluez.jcop.eclipse_1.0.3.3.jar
    com.ibm.bluez.jcop.eclipse_3.1.1.a.jarbefore i was using JCDE plugin for simulation process but here i did not use JCDE, I have only eclipse + jcop plugin
    I tried to tell you, what is my problem, If you still have any doubt , Let me know.
    Waiting for your reply and thanks for your time ............

    Thanks Umer for your suggestion , but i dont need to do this, It was my silly mistake to handle the things properly.
    Initially i was unable to getting the eclipse and JCOP concept, but now i do. now I am able to build the project or eclipse is building it automatically !!!! I faced this problem b'se i am a newbie in java card. but now things going good to me.
    I want to share my getting here:--
    My dout was - Is jcop intially have all the Jar's , converter which is required to create a cap file????
    My ans is - Yes, EVERYTHING IT HAVE INSIDE.
    you just get eclipse ide and get jcop plugin, and paste jcop plugin jar's inside the plugin folder of ecipse and START ECLIPS AGAIN.
    NOW EVERYTHING IS SET FOR YOU,
    NO REQUIREMENT OF JCDE-java card development envoirnment
    no requirement of jcdk- java card development kit ,
    no requirement of set any build path in eclipse. just make your applet , and run with jcop tool.ECIPSE AUTOMATICALLY BUILD OPTION WILL CREATE A FRESH .CAP FILE WHENEVER U MADE A NEW CHANGES
    cheers!!!

  • JSP/EJB sample-problem

    Hi,
    I'm having difficulties to get the Oracle JSP sample to wrok.
    I deployed the JSP App and also the StackDemo app and changed the envrionment variables as requested .
    But each time I try to use the DemoStack bean by submitting a 'create stack' I get the message :
    "The requested access method is not allowed for that object"
    Can anybody help me with this problem?
    Michel.

    Alex,
    I use OAS 4.0.8.1.
    I also reloaded the application after deployment.
    I used a clinet snippet that is compiled in JDevelope 3.0 and I run it from there .
    It finds THE EJB , ic reated and deployed without giving any error messages. The problem rises the moment I try to use one of the functions of the remote interface of the EJB. In these functions I try to use functionality of viewObjects that are provided by a bussines component that I generated using JDeveloper 3.0.
    The wrb log file mentions a 'null pointer exeption'.
    I think that I do something wrong when initializing the application module that wraps the business component, but I can't see what is wrong.
    This is the code I use in my EJB :
    String theAM = "EDMpackage.EDMAppModule";
    ApplicationModule root = null;
    String sessionDefName = ApplicationModule.DEFAULT_DEF_FULL_NAME;
    Hashtable env = new Hashtable(2);
    env.put(Context.INITIAL_CONTEXT_FACTORY, JboContext.JBO_CONTEXT_FACTORY);
    env.put(JboContext.DEPLOY_PLATFORM, JboContext.PLATFORM_LOCAL);
    try
    Context ic = new InitialContext(env);
    ApplicationModuleHome home = (ApplicationModuleHome)ic.lookup(sessionDefName);
    root = home.create();
    catch(Exception e)
    e.printStackTrace();
    localAppMod = root.createApplicationModule( "EDMAppMod",theAM );
    This works fine , but when I try to get a ViewObject through the localAppMod, I get the error. So I think I am wrong somewhere here.
    Michel.

  • Adobe Acrobat XI SDK Samples problem

    I am having problems building and running SDK samples.
    When built “out of the box”, the WebLinkDemo fails while getting HFT for AcroColor.
    After some googling, I found Adobe Acrobat XI SDK Release Notes:
    http://wwwimages.adobe.com/www.adobe.com/content/dam/Adobe/en/devnet/acrobat/pdfs/release- notes-acrobatxisdk.PDF
    Following their directions:
    deleted
    /D PI_ACROCOLOR_VERSION=0x00060000
    inserted
    /D READER_PLUGIN
    WebLinkDemo builds OK, but required SnippetRunner fails to compile with multiple errors like:
    >c:\code\adobe\acrobat xi sdk\samples\snippetrunner\sources\snippets\shared\acetranspdetextcolorsnip.cpp(60): error C2065: 'PDEContentGetNumElemsSELPROTO' : undeclared identifier
    SELPROTO seems to be the commot suffix.
    Any suggestions?
    Thank you!

    Perhaps a little more context. You should understand that the Acrobat SDK is a tool for encouraging people to buy Acrobat - especially the consumers of plug-ins.
    Reader plug-ins can be made, subject to technical limitations, but Adobe do not especially like the lost sales of Acrobat this may represent.
    In addition to purchasing Acrobat, you will need to buy a Reader integration key, after negotatiation. Approval is not automatic!  There are also two scales of fees, one for regular Reader plug-ins and one for security related plug-ins, for which Adobe has a much higher fee and demands much more oversight.
    "How much does a Reader Integration key cost?
    Reader Integration keys are only available to strategic partners based on a negotiated price. If you are developing a digital rights management (DRM) Adobe Reader plug-in, the standard (non-DRM) RIKLA contract does not apply. Adobe does offer a DRM agreement specifically for developers building such Adobe Reader plug-ins. The current fee structure for the DRM RIKLA includes a $50,000 annual fee and a 5.5% revenue royalty."
    http://www.adobe.com/devnet/reader/ikla.html
    So, yes, to experiment with plug-ins, whether for Acrobat or eventually for Reader, please listen to what we are telling you and if you want to do this, buy Acrobat.

  • Building libraries and samples....this can't be right, is it?

    I realize that I can simply check out built SWC files from here, but this doesn't help me build the samples. I feel like I've missed some corner of the documentation, because my procedure for building Cairngorm 3 libraries and samples seems like it can't possibly be right.
    I've tried creating a new workspace and checking out the entire contents of this repository into it:
    http://opensource.adobe.com/svn/opensource/cairngorm3/trunk/libraries
    That seems to succeed, although I get errors like this every time:
    The resulting projects don't build because of this error:
    configuration variable 'compiler.library-path' value contains unknown token 'M2_REPO'    ContractTest        Unknown    Flex Problem
    I've fixed that problem by getting http://opensource.adobe.com/svn/opensource/cairngorm3/maven-repository to my C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Flash Builder 4 Plug-in folder and setting M2_REPO in my workspace's Linked Resources to point to that.
    Having done all that, everything seems to build except for IntegrationDMS and IntegrationTest.
    Is this the right way to do it, or is there a simpler way?
    Thanks!

    As you know by now Cairngorm3 build is leveraging maven and flex-mojos.
    To ease the developper workflow, to make things more consistent, to lower the maintenance cost, we decided :
    * to stop copying the dependencies in the flashbuilder projects libs folder
    * to leveraged the maven repository in the eclipse/flasbuilder projects configurations.
    Furthermore, to avoid hard coded path and allow proper sharing of these flasbuilder configurations files, we use linked-resources when appropriate.
    M2_REPO is used as such: it is the root of your maven repository.
    As for IntegrationDMS it offers some "flex plumbing" to ease the integration with Adobe LCDS (http://www.adobe.com/products/livecycle/dataservices/) especially its Data Management features, hence its name.
    In order to build it from the source you need to compile it against 3 SWCs provided in Adobe LCDS. As found in the build file
            <!-- lcds dependencies  -->
            <dependency>
                <groupId>com.adobe.lcds</groupId>
                <artifactId>fds_rb</artifactId>
                <version>${lcds.version}</version>
                <type>rb.swc</type>
                <classifier>en_US</classifier>
                <scope>external</scope>
            </dependency>
            <dependency>
                <groupId>com.adobe.lcds</groupId>
                <artifactId>fds</artifactId>
                <version>${lcds.version}</version>
                <type>swc</type>
                <scope>external</scope>
            </dependency>
            <dependency>
                <groupId>com.adobe.lcds</groupId>
                <artifactId>playerfds</artifactId>
                <version>${lcds.version}</version>
                <type>swc</type>
                <scope>external</scope>
            </dependency>
            <!-- eof lcds dependencies  -->
    Adobe LCDS is not opensource, as a consequence we can not host its artifacts in our repository.
    If you want to build Cairngorm3 from the source, you may then either comment out IntegrationDMS from the parent library build or install these artifacts into your own private repo.(currently the version of lcds we build against is 3.1.0.273931) :
    mvn install:install-file -DgroupId=com.adobe.lcds -DartifactId=fds -Dversion=3.1.0.273931 -Dpackaging=swc -Dfile=<lcds-on-your-disk>/fds.swc
    mvn install:install-file -DgroupId=com.adobe.lcds -DartifactId=playerfds -Dversion=3.1.0.273931 -Dpackaging=swc -Dfile=<lcds-on-your-disk>/playerfds.swc
    mvn install:install-file -DgroupId=com.adobe.lcds -DartifactId=fds_rb -Dversion=3.1.0.273931 -Dclassifier=en_US -Dpackaging=swc -Dfile=<lcds-on-your-disk>/fds_rb.swc
    Please note also that if you need to build cairngorm3 from maven, as mentioned in the flexmojos docs, there is one JAR (AIR development tools) that is packaged with the Flex SDK but is not open source.
    Because of this, flexMojos cannot host this artifact. To build from source, you will need to install this artifact into your own private repo:
    >mvn install:install-file -DgroupId=com.adobe.flex -DartifactId=adt -Dversion=<version-of-the-sdk> -Dpackaging=jar -Dfile=adt.jar
    This JAR is bundled with the Flex SDK, which is freely available from : http://opensource.adobe.com/wiki/display/flexsdk/Downloads
    I'll do my best to update the wiki doc with this asap.

  • Entity beans not loaded due to problem loading WebLogic_RDBMS.jar dynamically

    Hi,
    I'm new to WebLogic so bear with me! When I start WebLogic (using
    Microsofts SDK for Java 4.0), all me session beans load up fine, but none of
    my entity beans load. The error I get for each is:
    [EJB]: Server cannot load: d:\weblogic\lib\persistence\WebLogic_RDBMS.jar
    dynamically. Attempting to load from classpath
    ... and then it goes on to say that it could not deploy the entity bean jar
    file giving a list of possible reasons. I'm guessing that the problem stems
    from the fact that the persistence jar file could not be loaded (correct me
    if I'm wrong!).
    Has anyone come across this before? I have included the WebLogic_RDBMS.jar
    file in my classpath when I start WebLogic to see if this would help but to
    no avail.
    Any help would be really appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Ciaran

    Please see my response in the ejb newsgroup.
