Being billed for old address & "free" installation with Mover's Edge

I moved on 8/1/15 and used the Mover's Edge service. The CSR I spoke with on the phone when setting up my move said many times that the installation would be free of charge. No one had had service at my new address since 2009, so a tech did need to come out, but the CSR told me at least 4 times that he waived the installation fee for me.  MY two issues as follows: OLD ACCOUNTBilled for a full month for service 8/1 - 8/31. Service was disconnected 7/30/15. I moved away from this address on 8/1/15. NEW ACCOUNTBilled $35 for installation that was supposed to be free with Mover's Edge.  I spoke to a CSR via the online chat feature yesterday (8/5/15) who claimed to have "made notes" of these issues on my account. What do these notes accomplish? Hoe do I even know she did anything? When will the correct amounts ($0 for the old account, and about $60 for the new account) be reflected?  What do I have to do to get someone to help me? Why am I seemingly being punished for using Mover's Edge? Please help me!

At the top of each Forum page, you will see a small gray envelope icon. This icon will have a number next to it if you have any new messages waiting. To open a PM to read it, double click on the envelope. If you click on the white envelope a window will open with tabs for your Private Message Inbox, Sent Messages, Friends, Ignored Users, and Compose new Message. You can also access this area by clicking on the Username in a Thread or post. By default, Private Messages are enabled. You can disable this feature in My Settings>Preferences> Private Messenger.

    Hi, I think I am being billed for using the free ML workspace, or at least misunderstand why I am being billed a monthly charge for ML. 
    I see a monthly charge for one ML seat, and have one workspace which was migrate from the preview. The workspace shows as being free under settings. The workspace does not show in the manage.windowsazure.com portal. I can create and delete additional

    I go and check my purchase history and on the dates that I have billed a dollar on my bank statement I go to my itunes account and it was a free application.  Why am I being billed for it if it is free.

    Are you adding or changing your credit card details on your iTunes account ? If you are then each time that you do so a small temporary store holding charge may be applied to check that the card details are correct and valid and that it's registered to exactly the same name and address as on your iTunes account - it should disappear off your account within a few days or so.

  • Being billed for a phone I don't even have anymore

    I visited Rome at the end of January, where my phone was stolen. I immediately suspended my account, and deferred billing until the account was reactivated. From what I read, the phone would be reactivated in 30 days, but it wasn't. And then I received a bill for the months of February and March. My service is still suspended, and last I looked was suspended until June. I was never notified that even if service wasn't reconnected, I would still have to pay for a phone that I no longer had. Since I'm living in Turkey currently, I can't just call the customer support line, and they seem to have removed the option of support by email. How am I supposed to dispute these charges?!

    You are not being billed for the phone, you are being billed for the line of service you purchased on your 24 month contract.  You can suspend service for a few months with or without billing.  If you suspend with billing, you will continue to be billed but the months left on your contract will continue to count down.  If you suspend without billing, you will not be billed, but the months left on your contract will remain constant until the suspension ends.  The suspension will automatically end after 3 months, I believe.  If you have no intention of using the line, you could pay the remaining ETF to cancel the line.  Or, you could cancel any data plans or texting plans or insurance, etc. and get the cost down to around $14 per month and just "ride it out" until the end of your contract.

    Your current iCloud storage should appear in Settings>iCloud>Storage & Backup when you tap Change Storage Plan.  It should also show in Settings>iCloud>Storage & Backup>Manage Storage at the bottom (the available storage gauge).

    Well, where to start
    Last month I was billed for a BBT call that should of been free. It was only 23p, but it's my money and not BT's. Called and used live chat - all sorted
    Checked my usage for this month - BILLED AGAIN for free BBT calls.
    Called BT this morning and got through to a guy whom didn't have a clue, that insisted that I was credited over £15 for my incorrectly charged BBT call last time - erm that'll be the 23p then, plus couldn't grasp what I was saying, then transferred me to the customer options team - erm even the guy on this team had no idea why billing would transfer me to them as they couldn't access the account from their system. We agreed to end the call there as we'd both of been wasting our time
    The online usage doesn't tally either. It states 14 calls made and the recent usage (graph page) clearly shows only 9 calls were made.
    But the page that gives the breakdown of the numbers called FAILS to load every time. Live chat have told me that ALL BT customers are affected and nobody can see their actual breakdown for their BBT account. I've copied and saved the conversation.
    I have it in writing that my bill will be amended to reflect this error
    So check your usage and your bill. Then please let me know if you too are being billed incorrectly and can you access the recent calls page for your BBT number

    I'm not usualy the type of person to complain, however, I feel my hand has been forced by some very unhelpful staff in your customer services department.
    I opened my account with BT in January 2010, when the 1st bill arrived you had billed me for a period BEFORE I had recieved any service and also attempted to bill me for a free vision box. this is the only issue that has ever been resolved.
    My broadband/vision service has never worked properly, constant connection dropouts, homehub resets, service not available etc etc. several conversations over several months with your staff and an engineer visit, BT have not resolved my issues.
    I became aware yesterday, Wednesday 12th May 2010, after running several line quality/speed checks that the maximum speed available to me was 2400 Kbps, yet all results from testing when the line was actually usuable were below 1600 Kbps, despite only being 1 mile away from the exchange. I purchased your services on the assurance from my very 1st telephone call that I would receive a minimum of 8000Kbps and upto 20000 Kbps. My conclusion is your services were mis-sold to me, Had I known about the true capability of my line I would never have ordered BT services.
    While I am happy to carry on paying for my landline service, I am not prepared to pay for a non existent broadband/vision service that has never worked as intended since the day it was installed. Despite the many many calls to resolve the issue over the past 4-5 months and an engineer visit, the problems still persist.
    What I DO NOT expect, is the rude and obnoxious call center staff that I spoke to this afternoon, After asking to speak to someone in a higher posistion to call me, I felt the need to hangup, and terminate the call before I told her how obnoxious/rude her manner was. I did not get her name, but I'm sure you can pull any records up, if indeed she did make any.
    My bill has been paid every month without any problems, yet despite several 'promises' that I would be reimbursed for the lack of service since I had them installed, nothing has transpired and I am now in reciept of yet another bill for services I cannot use.
    I have spoken to a very polite/professional young lady in complaints called Janice who has provided me with a reference number for cancellation of my broadband/vision service, yet when I was passed to customer services to resolve the billing issues, the young man who's name I could not understand, was very unhelpful and refused to pass the call onto a supervisor/manager.
    My direct debit instruction is now cancelled until BT can provide me with a satisfactory resolution to this matter.

    I have recieved a letter today confirming cancellation of my direct debit instruction.
    "I Can confirm that this request has now been actioned and you will receive quarterly bills in future."
    bloody right it's been actioned, I cancelled it myself!
    "However, I would draw your attention to the £68.57 presently outstanding on your account, payment of which is due immediately. Please note that failure to make this payment may result in your telephone service being restricted without further notice."
    You mean I am still liable to pay the ADVANCE charges for a broadband/vision service I no longer have! I don't think so. As for restricting my telephone service, don't bother, CANCEL IT INSTEAD! This is now beyond an absolute bloody joke.
    If big businesses like BT think they can bully/manipulate the consumer in this way, then they have another thing coming. I have paid you people for 5 months for an unusable service.
    This is not something that BT are going to get away with.

  • Being billed for calls I shouldn't be

    I have been receiving bills for a while which seem higher than I should. I have free evening and weekend calls on my account, and last month paid for calls on sundays and a monday evening. I also have a list of calls on my bill that do not correspond to any numbers I know, and a couple of calls seem to have been made when there was nobody in the house.
    Is it possible that somebody else is using my phoneline? Is there a number I can call to sort this out?

  • Old Address Book syncing with iPad via iTunes!

    Forgive me if I'm going over old ground but there seem to be a number of threads to do with Address Book syncing, but I haven't managed to find a definitive answer, so here goes ...
    I have an iPad [3] under iOS.5.1and an OSX.6.8 quad-core i7 iMac and I sync them via iTunes.
    Everything, absolutley everything, syncs just fine, Calendars, Photos, etc. etc. - except, that is, for Address Book and Contacts.
    The iMac Address Book is fully up to date, yet the version on the iPad is not only an old version, but a version which hasn't been current since before the iPad was bought and first sync'd!
    Bizarre!
    In an attempt to correct this, I unchecked the iTunes "Info > Sync Contacts button and resync'd.
    The ipad Contacts book was empty - which is what I expected.
    i then checked the button again and resync'd - and the old Address Book data was resync'd!
    What is clear is that the iPad's version reflects that which is in the iTunes "Selected Groups" window and not what is actually in the Address Book, so I presume that the error lies with iTunes and/or my iMac and not the ipad iteself.  The iPad is, after all, only reflecting what iTunes tells it.
    So, my friends, why does iTunes not show the current Address Book indiviudal cards and Groups?
    From where should it be getting it's information and how can I ensure that it does get the latest version?
    If there is a rogue old copy somewhere, what could it be called and how can I find it and delete it and then, perhaps amend the default path to the correct version?
    All software and apps on both devices are fully up to date at the time of posting this heartfelt crie de coure!
    Any advice would be much appreciated.

    Well, eventually I had to go to the Level 2 (or whetver they are called) AppleCare geeks to get this resolved, as the "normal" guys couldn't resolve it.
    After much "try this ...", "try that ..." and "try the other ..." they narrowed the problem down to a corrupt Address Book Group header in my iMac's Address Book.
    It appears impossible to find out just which of my 55 Group headers was corrupt and the only way around it was to export all Contacts individually as vCards, dlete every Group and individual card entry in the Addreess Book and reimport all the vCards - and then somewhat tediously recreate all my Groups again from scratch.
    It took  around two and a half hours on the phone to AppleCare and forever to recreate the Groups, but at least it solved the problem!
    Whether this helps anyone else i cannot tell, but if you have a bizarre syncing pronblem it might be worth looking at this as a solution.
    But take my tip:  before embarking on this, make an entry in the Notes section of each card so that you know to which Group or Groups a card belongs because it was a feat of memory way beyond me to remeber all of them and I still have the odd orphan in there awaiting a home!

    Months ago, I changed my Apple ID to reflect my new email address.  I received and verified the new address and deleted the old one from my Apple ID account page.  When I log in, there is no mention of my old address, and my new email address is recorded as the primary one.  However whenever I am asked for my Apple ID when I try to change or buy anything, the email address that comes up is my old one.  Needless to say no password I enter works, so there are many things that I'm currently unable to do.  This is driving me nuts.  Any ideas, please?

    Did you change the email address used in your existing Apple ID or did you create a new Apple ID with the new email address?
    Content and Apple IDs -
    Content is forever tied to the Apple ID that bought it. Apple does not transfer content from one Apple ID to another. Apple does not merge Apple IDs. You will never be able to access your content bought with one Apple ID with a new Apple ID.
