Best private email

What is the best private Email solution? One that doesn't spy on you and mine you data?
Anyone? Should I cancel my Gmail account?
Also the best browser. My favorite is Safari, at least right now.
So what is up with google and all the spying and data mining?
I'm surprised this is not already a thread.
-Thanks in advance, for those who dare.

If you need further help then you need to create a "Short, Self Contained, Compilable and Executable, Example Program (SSCCE)", that demonstrates the incorrect behaviour.

  • I still cannot sign into eprint center despite everything, always an error with my private email

address. i see that this has been a familiar and very frustrating issue for many. i read that i am not suppose to sign in with the printer email address so I don't know what to do. I registered it with private email, somewhere along the line i think it was switched to default but who knows. Regardless, it won't let me set up an account with my private email because its "in use". well yes its mine but its not "in use" for sure. I have read so much last night and now more hours tonight. I do know that we are not suppose to use the random printer email address to sign in so i dont know what to do. just seems ridiculous that this is so complicated. my whole intent is to change my printer email to something more user friendly, see what apps people really like to use that i can add...... but left at the door. HP? someone smart? please help......

I was able to use eprint center, but my personal email address didn't work, same as yours. I never saw instructions to not use the random printer email address, and I finally tried that and it worked. The email address was the Printer Code @hpeprint.com. Once I got in like that, it let me create a nicer email address for my printer, but the suffix is still @hpeprint.com. I have not been able to use my personal address in the eprint center, so I guess it really wants the printer's email address. I hope this helps you!

  • Hi, I have private emails in IPAD2, i have chaged the incoming mail server name and saved the change.

Hi, I have private emails in IPAD2, i have chaged the incoming mail server name and saved the change.
but, when I back to read my old emails in inbox it's gone away, I have backed to setting and return the previous
incoming mail name, but also I did't get the old emails. where I can find the old emails in my IPAD2 ?

It is only the link to your emails which are 'stored' on your iPad. You will have to enter all proper email addresses to get the message associated with them, which, in practice,  means multiple accounts. If all still does not work try a Reset [Hold the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons down together for 10 seconds or so (until the Apple logo appears) and then release].

  • Sending private emails

What are the easiest methods of sending private emails from an Exchange mailbox hosted by Office 365. The option that comes with the Azure subscription is too complicated for the recipients. Any suggestion?
This topic first appeared in the Spiceworks Community

as far as i understand iCal it is on the "receivers/subscribers" side to deal with email-updates (and not on the "senders/changers" side):
snippet from my Re: How do you stop receiving notifications about updated calendar events?:
to NOT get email notification about updated events from a shared calendar you subscribed to you have to uncheck "events affect availability" in that calendars "info" (mac os X.7 and X.8: iCal —> calendars dropdown —> right click on the subscribed calendar —> choose "get info" from the context-menu —> uncheck "events affect availability")

  • What is the best family email strategy with iCloud?

    Hello,
What would be the best way to structure our family email setup?
    Our goals are:
-to get the most functionality from icloud
-access email from desktops, laptops, and iOS devices with as much syncing as possible
-to allow each user to have control over what emails are deleted and such
-keep our old email address so we don't lose touch with others who contact infrequently
-I'd like to have different preferences than she does when it comes to junk mail filtering
-to change email addresses as little as possible, hopefully not at all
    Here's the scenario:
She uses:MacBook, and an iPhone and wants the two synced together
I use: a different MacBook (older one,) iPhone, and iCloud.com and want the three synced
My Daughter uses a Nook to access only her email (not been a problem)
We have a family verizon.net email address. We want emails from that address to go to our devices but if one of us deletes an email we don't want the other to have it deleted. However, if I delete it on MY phone, I want it deleted on MY laptop. (synced by user)
We also have our individual iCloud email addresses. This is used for individual emails that go to one or the other of us but not both, and is synced between our devices but not across users.
    Current Status:
I have verizon.net forwarding all emails to her icloud address (it can only forward to one) and then her icloud forwards it to mine.
    Problem:
When I delete emails on my login (I think mine is the master account and hers is a secondary one) sometimes, perhaps all the time, they are deleted on her devices.
Also, she wants her return and sent from address to be the verizon.net address to not confuse people.
I hope this makes sense! If I could draw a picture it might be clearer.
So, what do you all think????
    Thanks!

Unfortunately iCloud can't be used to manage your verizon email account, verizon email has it's own settings and is nothing to do with iCloud. However that being said it sounds like the verizon account may be an IMAP account and it sounds like you want a POP account. Have a word with Verizon to see if they offer this.

  • Can´t set up private email account on BlackBerry Curve 8520

    Hi,
I have BBerry Curve 8520 and when tried to set up the email accounts (I don't have enterprise account), the only option I have is the Enterprise.
I have followed the steps on
    http://docs.blackberry.com/en/smartphone_users/deliverables/14928/Set_up_an_email_address_611669_11....
but on element 2) the only option that I have is
I want to use a work email account with a BlackBerry Enterprise Server
    BlackBerry 8520
    v5.0.0.1036 (Bundle 1682) Platform 5.2.0.104
Any suggestion or have any one seen this before?
    Thanks in advanced.
    Solved!

    Hello!
To use the proprietary BB services (including Push email capability, BBM, etc.), you must have an adequate data plan from your carrier. The carriers host BIS (BlackBerry Internet Service) for their BB users. Typically, BIS is not available via generic data plans. Many carriers call what is necessary The Blackberry Data Plan. Whatever they call it, it is the carrier who delivers BIS to their BB users -- contact them for assistance. Once you have a Push-email enabled BIS-capable data plan on your BB (at whatever fees your carrier will charge, btw), your BB-proprietary services will function (e.g., you will have Personal/Internet Email added to the email setup wizard, your BBM will function, etc).
    http://www.blackberryfaq.com/index.php/What_do_I_need_a_Data_Plan_for%3F
With hundreds of carriers in the world, each with dozens of different data plans, it's impossible to tell you specifically what any service plan might actually provide. Only the carriers can answer that question. The best thing to do is to decide what services you desire, and then talk to your carrier about obtaining (from them) a data plan that enables what you desire.
    Good luck!

  • Best Secure Email

Does anyone have any suggestions as to getting email set up with the best security possible?

Spamsieve is the best spam filter for the Mac. You don't have to worry about viruses. Just remember that no e-mail attachment should ever ask for your password. If it does, don't provide it. Also hover your mouse over links to ensure the link goes to where it shoudl.

  • Best push email domain solution (Google apps for Domains?)

What email service provider offers the best iPhone push email support. Obviously, Mac OS X Server 10.6 would be the best, but as far as third party options that can host your domain's email accounts and get you push on the iPhone and IMAP in Apple Mail?
Looking at Google Apps for Domains, but concerned about how it has to have two of each message to work with IMAP correctly.
    Thanks for any thoughts!

    Zimbra is another potential solution

  • Private Email to Community Member?

I'd like to say "thanks" to a community member who gave a helpful answer to a question, but I've been trained that posting such "purely social" replies is bad etiquette, because if everyone did it the forum's signal to noise ratio would deteriorate.
Hence the wish to send a private message. Is it possible on this forum?
    Thanks.

Not unless they've individually chosen to list a public email address in their profile(hosts aren't subject to this requirement.) As long as your message is posted in an existing thread which they've replied to, it won't cause any problems.

  • Best Push email software for the 5800

Just thought I would pop this up as I have been trying out a lot of Push email products recently and finally think I have found one I like for the 5800!
I am currently using System Seven and it does almost everything I need - push email - with the option to view compatible emails in html.
My only issue with it is the fact you cant set HTML as standard and it doesnt have a clickable notification on the homescreen. (minor issues)
I have tried others like Emoze (works well and has a notification but the HTML emails done allow you to scroll and the scrolling is very tempremental in normal view.)
Mail for exchange doesn't have html although is now available for services such as Gmail etc...
Anyone got any better solutions or anything to add to this thread let me know.

I dunno, there aren't really any screen shots or concrete descriptions on the Evernote site, and I've never used it, but from looking at a video on their site, I'm not sure it would qualify for creating organizational charts. If Fred is looking for something that creates stuff like flow charts and the like, he may have better luck with OmniGraffle. Whether this is available on the Mac App Store, I don't know... but if not, don't bother with the Mac App Store and just download from the web site:

  • One of the best scam emails from "apple" I have ever seen

I received a very convincing email from [email protected] asking me to up date my details. It was very soft and apple like so I started to input my details, then it asked for credit card updates, mothers maiden name and CVV number of my card. Turns out you don't even need to log in, it takes you directly to this page even if you just click sign in! I'm worried that others may comply so here is the link!
DO NOT ENTER ANY DETAILS ITO THIS AS THEY WILL TAKE YOU ENTIRE IDENTITY AND ROB YOU!

Let me know if this was helpful! Remember pleased don't upload your details. I changed my Apple ID and password just in case.
